Review 1：Beds were a bit hard after 2 weeks
Review 2：Location great, lots of space, we have 4 kids so lots of space to run around, very safe and everything was so convenient. Above all, the heated pool meant that kids could stay in the water without getting cold!
Review 3：Comfortable, roomy and well appointed apartment. Near all amenities, shops, bars, restaurants, car hire, bus , taxi and above all - 1 minute from the beach.

Review 10：One morning cleaning ladies started cleaning bungalow next to us at 8 o'clock in the morning and banged the doors so loudly that we woke up - after realized they was cleaning for early arrivals, but still 8 in the morning in vacation time is too early :)
Review 11：The Bungalow was nice. Pool was three steps from back door and heated! There was free WiFi in superior room for one device. Nice and friendly staff. Overall was quiet, if you are not disturbed by planes landing and rising - the airport's runway is just little walk away, on the other hand nice view to planes from our bedroom.

Review 20：Very strange house cleaning system. Once we came back to apartments and found out that one room was cleaned, another didn't. The 6th block is far away from ocean.

Review 22：*On this occasion we booked a superior bungalow, however when we arrived to it, we found some ants had taken up residence along the sink and work top area. We asked to be changed and were immediately offered a bungalow in standard block 8. This was fine as we had stayed in block 8 on our last three visits. The money difference was refunded to my Cr. Card immediately. Before departing, the reception girls send us up a complimentary bottle of wine for any inconvenience which may have been caused to us. *I would also like if the towels were changed every second day instead of twice a week.
Review 23：Quietness, near the beach. Bungalows in block 8 that we have stayed in on each of our 4 visits are very spacious and also beside the pool. All kept very clean and lovely to relax in and read etc. Staff are very helpful and attend immediately to any problems.

Review 25：Almost impossible to fauly out first visit to Las Gaviotas....frienliest staff possible through all aspects of the running of a fine facility. We stayed in Block 8 which other reviewers did not like....that is their loss!
Review 26：We don't speak Sanish, but we love to hear it and we missed TV Canaria. The only annoying thing was the stench of mold in our bedroom's cabinet, which probably was there because of the bathroom on the other side of the wall.
Review 27：It was our second stay at Las Gaviotas, both in Block 8 with heated pool and emty parking area (we had a car for the hole week and in other places it was hard to find parking places). Beds were comfortable, water was warm, everything was clean. We had a 2-bedroom bungalow with 2 bathrooms, which was a nice surprise.

Review 30：On arrival I was allocated apartment 19 in block 7. This location has major traffic noise and localized exhaust pollution from endless busses, lorries and taxis running directly past it's patio area from 0530 to 2330. Also it is important to note that the 8 apartment blocks are spread around Matagorda at varying distances from the sea front and shops. Google maps pinpoints this accomodation approx 50 to 100m from the sea but this is the premium accomodation only and where the central check in desk is located. For me, this is misleading and simply not made clear enough in the product brochure description for this accomodation.

Review 38：The staff were so helpful, my husband is disabled and we needed an anti slip mat for the bath and an extra pillow, within a couple of hours both was delivered to our apartment. We asked for a room with level access, they gave us a wonderful room with great access with only 1 small step .

No pool bar only open in summer, doesn't say that on web! Higher cost than average apartments and these are advertised as superior! Refurbished but still basic! Def not suitable for families as pool fence panelled off and deep great for adults not children! Expensive restaurant on site, don't know where hotel experience comes in actually unless you count updated bedroom lamps and lamp in lounge. Shower ran out of hot water bath had yellow water!

I choose this hotel on the basis that there was free internet and car parking.

Review 58：When we got there the bungalow was not suitable for my partner because the ramp was at an angle and as we were given this bungalow before and had told them about the ramp we thought they would have done something about it. If she had tried to use it there was a chance she would fall out of the wheelchair because of the angle.
Review 59：I asked for a late check out about 4 weeks before we arrived as we weren't flying until 8pm and the fact we had a 4 year old and a four month old with us. The lady said on the phone that it will be no problem. 2 days before out due departure day we got letter under the door emplainibg check out times etc. I went down to reception to see if it was a mistake and they said no that it must have been the trainee that I was talking to about the late check out and that we had to be out at 12 noon. It's shocking that there is no facilities for small babies to rest etc especially after being told that there would be No problem getting a late check out. If you have small kids with you and your flight home isn't until late at night I wouldn't recommend staying here.
Review 60：We stayed in block 6 which was very private with only 6 apartments sharing the one pool. What I like most though there was a glass panel fence around the pool which meant my 4 year old couldn't go near the pool without adult supervision.
Review 61：We booked a superior apartment and where highly disapointed. Doorhandle was loose (close to brake completely) shower was broken. Which was fixed immediately after a call at the reception. The faucet broke also during our stay. Cleaning was not on every day and the first time just because we asked for. Towels where just renewed every second to third day... Breakfast was very british. Baddest scrambled eggs I ever had. Staff at the restaurant was´t very friendly at all.

Review 63：Having booked these Apartments and spoken to a member of staff before I arrived, I informed them that I would be requesting a late checkout as I was travelling with my elderly mother 87 years old and in a wheelchair (my flight departure time was 8.40 pm following Saturday). I was informed I could arrange this after I arrived. Two days prior to departure, I approached a member of staff at reception and was told I would "have to come back tomorrow". The following day, I repeated my request for a late checkout (I was quite prepared to pay the cost) and was met with the following: "it's not possible, as all the Apartments were fully booked ...it's better to book an "8" day stay instead of "7" (I would have had the availability of the room)...they had to clean the Apartment for the next visitors etc... This caused great distress to my mother and it left me with no alternative but to wheel her around from 12.00 pm until 5.30 p.m. until I left for the Airport. What a disgrace this was and I doubt I will be visiting these Apartments again, as it is clearly obvious that PROFIT went before a customer, what a SHAME. Staff were very unhelpful at my request (I checked the Apartment at different intervals - no one was occupying it before I left!). Who pays for an 8 day holiday and leaves after 7???!!! I will be ensuring that my friends give these Apartments a "wide berth" (especially if they are travelling with the elderly). Given my circumstances, a little more help and understanding would have went a long, long way....

Review 75：Safe was situated on the ground which means that you have to kneel down in order to put in or take out your valuables. Wi fi could be accessible from all bungalow s at all times and not password locked. It needs to be updated and revamped. So to drown out the noise of the aeroplanes at 7.50.a.m. In the morning. Not all bungalow s have access for a mobility scooters to be charged at night.

Review 83：Beds were quite uncomfortable, very few English channels, door lock was an issue as you cannot re-enter without a key, meals in restaurant quite poor for three star, lots of flies around food and should have been much cleaner and glass around pools could be a real health and safety issue should someone be in difficulties whilst swimming, put you off using the pool.

Review 108：I was 'sold' the upgrade to your 'best' )Premier?) property on the basis that it was nearer shopping facilities, and "preferred by more 'mature' people". That sounded great! I therefore had the expectation of a rather quieter site/situation.It was not revealed to me that the "shopping centre" included two very lively Pubs and was on a main thoroughfare and offered no privacy during the day, and had drunks singing, shouting, and wandering about aimlessly until between 1 and 2 a.m. in the morning. :(The Upgrade was expensive for an apartment which was much in need of renovation as it was very dated and although 'nearer the shopping centre" was in a very poor location.. (Apartment 11/1).At no point was I informed that there was free Wi-Fi. That was something I found out/overheard purely by accident, when I was waiting for the Taxi when leaving to go home.AND, I also heard that all the Upgrade Apartments had all been recently 'renovated'. This was not the case in the Apartment I had been allocated as a Premier Apartment, and had paid more for..! :(The bathroom had broken tiles and mould, and the holes filled in on tiles where previous appliances had been. The same applied to the dated kitchen area.The cleanliness came down to me doing my own cleaning of all surfaces due to countless ants.At times the 'cleaning' done (particularly in the bathroom) meant that I had to re-clean the areas myself, as wipe marks and smears were very obvious and messy. The floor surfaces were mainly cleaned merely by brushing and caused more dust to float about inside the Apartment than was swept outside of it!
