Reviews for La Hacienda de mi Señor
Review 1:Nothing really. We had to park our car in the main square close by but it was perfectly safe and was no problem whatsoever.
Review 2:A very good hotel in a central position of the beautiful town of Lerma. We used it as a stop over on our way down to Murcia and because we were pleased with it, also on our way back to Santander.
Review 3:Great place to stay. This was our second visit. Rooms are spacious, warm and have everything you need. The staff are lovely and do as much as they can to help.
Review 4:decor of my room was little over powering.
Review 5:Good location. Felt like a private house as you had your own front door key. Staff friendly but unobstrusive.
Review 6:Nothing to dislike, even Satnav found it first time!
Review 7:Arrived really late due to 4hr ferry delay- young lady waited till 1am for us to arrive -thank you! Good location for walking around, safe parking on street nearby. Typically Spanish, comfy, nice spread for breakfast.
Review 8:We were unable to pay by credit card as the Internet and phones were unavailable. We were able to wait as we weren't in a hurry to continue our journey but we still had to pay by cash in the end. We were offered a bottle of the local wine which was kind.
Review 9:Lovely big room and a comfortable bed. Have rebooked for our return journey.
Review 10:Only the fact that the car has to be parked a 100 mtrs away
Review 11:Great quiet town with this hotel in a narrow street. It is old but very well kept and comfortably furnished. It is not luxurious but spacious and the staff so very helpful.
Review 12:- I only stayed one night, since I was travelling further north the next day
Review 13:- Great hotel with hearty welcome in the small but beautiful and cosy town Lerma - Splendid and large rooms (for the price paid, even as single), comfortable bed, great bathroom - Sumptuous breakfast with lots of coffee - The friendly people of the hotel even let me park my motorbike (big and loaded with lots of luggage;-) inside the hotel - Perfect for visiting the surrounding region
Review 14:Travelling from Santander to Almeria great place to have a stopover. Very friendly, lovely and clean rooms, plenty to eat for breakfast would definitely be back. And a free bottle of wine. Excellent.
Review 15:Difficult to find, streets incredibly narrow and winding, no parking at the hotel but can park quite safely in nearby streets. Breakfast poor, unless you like fruit, cheese and Spanish sausage (chorizo)
Review 16:Interesting hotel with a display of local historical items. Rooms clean and adequate, lovely bathroom, friendly and helpful receptionist.
Review 17:Due to nature of this very old town streets can take a bit of negotiating.
Review 18:The female member of staff was excellent. Very helpful. She even provided me to with a comprehensive packed breakfast for my onward journey as I left prior to breakfast being served. Nice room very clean. Located very close to main square
Review 19:Nothing. Please note that there is a market on Wednesday so don't park your car in main square or roads running laterally on Tuesday evening. Nevertheless there was ample free parking near the hotel which the receptionist confirmed was not going to be a problem.
Review 20:Large rooms, fantastic bathroom, very clean, excellent Spanish breakfast. A bottle of wine with the house label on departure. Warm and welcoming staff.
Review 21:Lovely to stay in the town centre with restaurants and bars in easy reach We were made very welcome and thought the beakfast particularly the pots of home made lemon cream was great. Loved the hotels parting gift to us of a bottle of wine.
Review 22:None
Review 23:Such a wonderful collection of decorations and furnishings and such a warm and friendly welcome from the owners. Not speaking Spanish was no problem, the welcome was so warm. All the rooms were very comfortable with colourful decoration and typically Spanish adornments and garden.
Review 24:N/a
Review 25:Friendliness of staff and the fact that they own a restaurant round thecorner called: asados casanton Food & service exceptionaltraditional Spanish cuisine.
Review 26:Short walk to parking in town square. We usually look for secure parking but in fact there was no problem.
Review 27:Spacious room, lovely view onto the garden. Good breakfast. Easy walk to lots of eateries in town.
Review 28:No pets I'm afraid. Mind you the dog was happy enough sleeping in the car.
Review 29:Thought we'd booked a parador. Great location, lovely town. Will keep this as a favourite stop off. Ground floor like an armoury, upper floors ( bedrooms) like a modern contempry hotel.
Review 30:The hotel was lovely olde worlde but everything was excellent. The staff and location was perfect and I would recommend, people to stay there, more in the summer months as it can be quite cold in the winter
Review 31:Car park was a couple of streets from the hotel in the town square - a slight concern as we had a car full of luggage. In fact there was no problem. Disappointed that the second floor room had no view - made us get out for a walk roundtheold town - pleasant.
Review 32:Excellent breakfast - a taste of local cuisine - very pleasant. Room was extreme!y comfortable.
Review 33:Nothing at all to dislike.
Review 34:3rd visit this year. Good position for overnight en route to/from ferry ports. Very historic small town with friendly atmosphere. Hotel just great all round. Family run, friendly, comfortable, great breakfast. Wish we had noticed they offered a fixed price evening meal - assuming it's available then we will take that option next time. Fellow guests said it was fabulous!
Review 35:Hacienda was in a lovely old building that had modern facilities. Staff were very helpful rooms spotlessly clean and 2 bottles of water were put in our room daily. Beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was 1st class. Everything was provided, cereal, fruits, hams, toast and as much coffee as you wanted. Definitely recommend this hotel
Review 36:Bed a bit small and uncomfortable. All else e really good
Review 37:Helpful and friendly staff.substantial breakfast included. Excellent value for money.. Large rooms with sitting area.
Review 38:Nothing
Review 39:Everything about the hotel was excellent. Our room was very large with a small sitting area and was spotlessly clean. Huge choice for breakfast. Safe parking in the square in front of the Parador. We would definitely use the hotel again and recommend it to everyone.
Review 40:Nothing. It is all lovely and quirky with the suits of armour, swords, hats and walking sticks, I could go on.....
Review 41:Lovely large room. Lots of toiletries including a razor and toothbrush if needed. Very clean and warm. Staff so friendly and spoke clearly so we understood every word. We were issued ear plugs on arrival as it was fiesta weekend. We had stayed here last year en route to the ferry home and were not disappointed. Again a lovely cold buffet breakfast with lots of choice . We cannot fault this hotel
Review 42:The noise at night from adjacent bedrooms was upsetting. The hotel mustcontinue to be made aware of this. The lovely garden looked, well, lovely but there wasn't a door to access it or anywhere to sit ifyou did. Beware of Mondays in Lerma, just about all the bars andrestuarants are shut!
Review 43:Location, just a few yards from the main square, the reception (inSpanglais) was delightful, I was shown three empty bedrooms so I couldpick the coolest, it being a very hot evening. The decor is enthusiasticand carefully crafted, if overpowering in places. As said by most otherreviews, breakfast was swift, the choice was good and everything seemedfresh and tasty The bottle of local rose wine on leaving was a nicetouch. All the staff were so helpful and pleasant, including unusuallythe breakfast staff and checkouts
Review 44:We could hear the bells of the 5 local churches most of the night. We had a room with no side windows, just loft windows, which made the room slightly dark.
Review 45:Local perfect to explore the town. Everything is within 5 minutes walk. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good value for money and a varied selection available.
Review 46:The only thing we didn't like was the fact that as the windows were in the roof there was no view. If we were to return we'd ask for a room with view.
Review 47:The general decor of the hotel was very nice. It was well positioned in the village, near the centre. The breakfast was excellent, with some of the best almond cake I've ever tasted. The staff were very helpful and did their best to make our stay pleasant.
Review 48:We liked it very much. This is an outstanding hotel, the village is fantastic, the hotel is fantastic, the staff is great, breakfast was delicious A real nice experience. We recommend it highly.
Review 49:No access to garden it seemed, so much furniture jammed inside, none outside. Noise of neighbours surprisingly loud I'm afraid but nothing really to grumble about
Review 50:Repeat previous reports, spotless and decorations "vibrant and quirky". Stuffed, perhaps overly, with curios, suits of armour, perhaps trying too hard to beat the nearby Parador at their own game. That night, Parador €160, Hacienda €40. A comfy bed is the same evertwhere, the breakfast exceeded the Parador norm
Review 51:No dinner available upon arrival. No bar service.
Review 52:Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff. Easy to find off the main plaza,no problem with street parking nearby. Peaceful location, ask for room at the back of the property.
Review 53:we liked the old fashioned charm without the plastic sameness of chain hotels. Also it was really excellent value.
Review 54:Our room had only skylights and was painted blue, it was like being in a swimming pool.

Review 89:A charming traditional village house, pleasantly modernized. Excellent breakfast, Staff very helpful. Will hopefully stay again when in the area.
Review 90:All first class!
Review 91:This is a superb hotel with huge rooms. They are very inventively decorated and the hotel is excellent value for money. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We needed milk for our daughter which they provided without hesitation. The bedroom was very cosy yet large (about the size of a two bed London flat) and airy. The bathroom was excellent with a very good shower. Breakfast was really good with variety. We also stayed at the parador in town and they would do well to try to emulate the friendliness and service we received at hacienda : compared to the parador, la hacienda is half the price but twice as good! Recommended!
Review 92:Slight inconvenience of not being able to park car by the hotel, but safe parking available on nearby square .
Review 93:Location excellent in centre of this small historic town. Easy access to all interesting monuments. Staff friendly, helpful and attentive. Room was large, modern excellent bathroom.
Review 94:The TV in reception, next to the desk when checking in. It was difficult to hear/understand the receptionist until we turned it off.
Review 95:Excellent selection for buffet breakfast.
Review 96:Nothing to dislike!
Review 97:This was our 4th stay in Lerma and our second stay at La Hacienda. Weliked it so much on our uk bound trip we changed our planned hotel forour return trip return there again! Our room was quiet (1st floor, atthe rear) spotless and buffet breakfast was plentiful with lots ofchoices. Safe parking in the main square. We've stayed twice at theParador in Lerma but La Hacienda is a perfect alternative at a muchcheaper cost. The owner clearly puts their heart into the building andthe experience.
Review 98:Decor was over powering with strong colours. The passage. To our room was Lime green. The room was at the back of the house overlooking garden so was quiet. However when we went to bed the guest in the neighbouring room arrived noisily and talked on the phone for at least an hour very noisily preventing us from going to sleep. We could hear everything the conversation his pacing up and down. Really terrible a great pity as spoilt our night.
Review 99:The lift! The room was very good size with sofa and dining table with two chairs. So good for staying in room. Breakfast was adequate with good service.
Review 100:Everything. Quiet location in the old town. Plenty of easy parking either on the street or in the large square nearby. The staff were very kind and helpful. Good buffet breakfast and a free bottle of wine when we checked out. All in all excellent value for money.
Review 101:Nada.
Review 102:A wonderful hotel (located in a 17th c. renovated building) with warm and accommodating service. We stayed twice in a one month period and both visits were very positive. A very good buffet breakfast is included. We stayed on the top floor and at the back which was very quiet - unless church bells are a bother. The staff (especially the lady owner) are very helpful. Although they do not speak much English, communication was indeed possible!
Review 103:the decor was a bit violent and garish
Review 104:it was all great didnt like with the decor, but the hotel was fine, we will go again and use this hotel, rooms were warm, clean and quiet, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast considering it was continental style was super, good value for money
Review 105:There was nothing not to like
Review 106:This was a fabulous little gem of a hotel! The staff, rooms, cleanliness and breakfast were better than some 5 star hotels.
Review 107:My room was a bit blue! A hairdryer would have been a good added extra.
Review 108:Lovely old colonial building in the town centre, easy access from the main square. Comfortable and very clean with original features. A good stopover when driving from Spain to France or viceversa.
Review 109:Not the easiest to find around the one way traffic system. Best just to park in main square and walk.
Review 110:Excellent welcome from Manageress/Owner, personally shown to room, which was huge. Very amenable staff. Superb breakfast. Bottle of their wine given on check out - what a lovely touch!
Review 111:We arrived on two motorcycles and when we asked about parking they got out a ramp for the door, moved some furniture and let us park them in reception :)
Review 112:Parking may be difficult at fiesta times.
Review 113:This hotel is located in the very centre of the old town. We enjoyed a very quiet room. It is a beautiful building exotically furnished. La dueña Maria is most helpful, and the breakfast is not to be missed, it is really excellent.
Review 114:Absolutely nothing
Review 115:The hotel was delightful. Very clean bedroom and bathroom and location was right in the centre of Lerma which is a beautiful little town. The staff were extremely pleasant and the breakfast very good - no cooked breakfast but plenty of choice. We would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arose.
Review 116:The staff could not do enough for us. The bedroom was excellent. The decorations and artifacts are out of this world. The breakfasts were very good. We liked everything about this gem of a hotel.
Review 117:Was very hot when we arrived in July and room was rather warm becausewas south facing.
Review 118:* Location very close to centre* breakfast included * good parking close to hotel * clean and comfortable room * restaurant close by * extremely kind and friendly staff who even bothered to phone me en route when I left something behind in my room. Have never come across such service in Spain.
Review 119:Being disabled I found it a bit steep to walk to square, but very gladwe stayed at this lovely hotel.
Review 120:Lovely old village. Hotel was near a big square where there was a numberof restaurants. Our room had very comfortable beds and we had a greatnights sleep. Breakfast was good. Lots of parking in the square. We weregiven a bottle of local wine when we left. A very nice touch.
