Reviews for Posada de Eufrasio
Review 1:The location. The historic buildings are interesting and picturesque but the general village is very run down and the location, uninviting. We visited on a public holiday and it was like being in a ghost town.
Review 2:The owner and waitress were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, nicely furnished, warm and the bed comfortable. The evening dinner was very good and reasonably priced. The house wine was beautiful. So good we purchased a bottle to take away. Dining area charmingly furnished Spanish style.
Review 3:It would have been great to have a kettle in the room so we could make a cup of tea
Review 4:The location was great and the staff were very friendly even tho we struggled to communicate as we don't speak Spanish. The facilities were lovely and it was very quiet.
Review 5:Dinner & breakfast available different accommodation served far far too late for our travel commitments! Receptionist located local restaurant. Unfriendly reception when we declared meals will not be taken.
Review 6:Well appointed accommodation
Review 7:The inn is in a good location for visiting the Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos. Our host was very nice and welcoming, and the accommodations were very comfortable.
Review 8:It would be helpful to have someone on call in the hotel. When we found someone they quickly arranged for coffee for us in front of a lovely fire but it would be better if we didn't have to go and look for them!
Review 9:We like the hotel particularly because it is very comfortable but also individual in decoration with sumptuous fabrics on chaises longues in the lounge and unusual ítems around the place. Our room at the front of the hotel was not huge but was comfortable and had all we needed. We also very much enjoyed eating in the restaurant run by the same family with specialities of the región.
Review 10:Wifi always a bit up and down
Review 11:We've stayed here before and we love it. Great town and the Eufrasio has a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Ideal location for exploring Lerma. Owner is always helpful and we'll stay again
Review 12:The lighting in the bedroom was poor so difficult to read.. We had to go out in the rain to reach the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Perhaps there was a connecting door but it was not indicated and we could not find it.
Review 13:Attractive and unusua l building and furnishings. Easy to find and Lerma is well worth a look. Only 30 mins from Burgos
Review 14:Very small rooms, quite stuffy so sleep quality poor Service not great e.g. breakfast only 9 - 11am, couldn't do half an hour earlier; had to wait ages to pay the bill Wooden floors in bedrooms makes for lots of noise Rooms in a separate building down the road with front door locked and no obvious fire escape without a key
Review 15:Location - historic town, close to motorway Ideally situated for dog walks on country lane just outside hotel Good food in restaurant
Review 16:Our room was poorly lit. It was beyond subtle and into dim. The bathroom was the only place that was adequately bright.
Review 17:The hotel is furnished in an interesting, different and sumptuous style with lots of comfortable chairs, chaises longues and a welcoming fire in the lounge. Our room was individual, spacious and more than adequate for an overnight stay.
Review 18:No secure car parking (street outside)
Review 19:Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant first class comfortable room, good size. En suite bathroom clean and tidy. Wifi fast and reliable.
Review 20:Nothing. Perfect.
Review 21:The welcome from Encarna(I stayed there last May en route from the south coast to Bilbao). The rooms are delightful, clean, bright, modern - with a lovely view. I can fully recommend this little hotel in the quaint old town of Lerma.
Review 22:Our room was very dark and looked out onto a courtyard. The lighting in the room was poor and made the room look depressing. We have already read comments from other guests re quality of the towels and have to say we agree. They did not dry very well after use.
Review 23:The public areas of the Pousada were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The restaurant was also beautifully decorated with a lovely atmosphere.
Review 24:Nothing
Review 25:Decor and facilities all in excellent condition. Friendly proprietor, told us she is fifth generation of family that runs both the hotel and restaurant.
Review 26:our third stay at this hotel. Great location with excellent views. Comfortable room with all facilities. Hotel is situated in the heart of the old town where you can enjoy interesting walks or refresh at one of the many bars. The hotel restaurant is excellent and their set meal for residents is really good value, the main course of local roasted lamb is something to remember.
Review 27:We've stayed here a few times now. Great location, posada has a relaxed feel to it. Owner and her staff are always most helpful. Food at dinner is great and we particularly enjoy the substantial breakfast. We'll be back
Review 28:All good no negatives
Review 29:Great location,a traditional Spanish hotel with friendly helpful staff and a great restaurant serving the local lamb and wine. Located in the centre of a beautiful town close to motorway. All in all a great place to stop for a night
Review 30:Great location only 200m from Parador and center of old town. Quiet, clean and a bit twee but could not fault the accommodation or the service provided. Meals are served in their restaurant a few doors down the road but the food was very good. Nice atmosphere. Plus is they take dogs. Would stay again.

Review 37:Very little, we felt that maybe air con would be a bonus in August
Review 38:Friendly staff Clean and comfortable room with a good quality bathroom pack Bottled water and glasses in the room Excellent food, we really enjoyed dinner and also had an excellent breakfast. We thought that for two people, a room, 3 course dinner wth wine and a good breakfast, all for just over 100 euro was superb.

Review 91:Breakfast wasn't available in time for us, we left around 9 a.m. as we had a long drive ahead.
Review 92:Easily accessed from the motorway. Nicely positioned with lots to see/do in walking distance. Wonderful staff, very welcoming. Beautiful interior, the rooms and the public areas had lots to look at/talk about. Very nice evening meal.
Review 93:Our room was rather dark, and the bathroom rather small, but everything functioned.
Review 94:The charming hostess and the perfect situation of the hotel. The "menu de degustación" was excellent! We enjoyed the city atmosfere.
Review 95:Not being able to fully converse due to my poor command of the Spanish language and the owners not being fully conversant with English, but we managed.
Review 96:The location was excellent with beautiful views from the bedroom.Dinner and breakfast also very good.
Review 97:Because we used the hotel as an overnight stop while travelling from the Costa Blanca to the ferry from Bilbao, we wanted an early evening meal on arrival and an early breakfast before departure the next day. Both were impossible, as dinner started at 9 p.m. and breakfast at 9 a.m. We had to eat elsewhere.
Review 98:The hotel is well positioned, near the town square and near restaurants. Decor and comfort are wonderful, with extra touches like bottled water and toiletries provided. The bed was very comfortable.
Review 99:Nothing.
Review 100:A real find located just behind the Palacio in Lerma. Would recommend any traveller driving through this area to stay here and enjoy the convivial atmosphere, the superb decor and furnishings and memorable food at both dinner and breakfast. We will return!
Review 101:Room was at front when was expecting one overlooking valley. However no noise so was good, and we have seen the view before!
Review 102:Very Welcoming, has lift access to upper floors. Evening meal excellent value and good quality. Service excellent.
Review 103:This friendly family run hotel was very welcoming and helpful giving us all the relevant information as we arrived. The bedroom was artistically decorated, warm and comfortable with complimentary bottled water. You can also eat at the hotel. Dinner was either set menu or a la carte and a good choice of food. Breakfast was also available and was good value for money. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated with many personal touches. The bedlinen was cotton/linen and although the bedroom and en suite were not enormous they had everything you need for a short stay including toothbrush and toothpaste! Would definitely stay again.
Review 104:Some of the decor was not to my taste but still very well done. A little noise from the corridor was audible in my room and the floorboards were quite creaky but it wasn't enough to really bother me.
Review 105:Lovely welcome despite the language barrier, very helpful, charming location and quite large (if slightly outdated) gym. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.
Review 106:The hotel room was fantastic as was the restaurant . The owner and her sister cooked and served us a wonderful lunch and evening dinner. They made us very welcome and we would certainly return again. Don
Review 107:There was nothing to dislike!
Review 108:This was our second visit to this charming hotel and everything was as perfect as before. Our dog was also very welcome. Lerma itself is a lovely town and well worth a visit, even if using the location as a stop-over en route to Southern Spain (as we were).
Review 109:No th Bing to dislike.
Review 110:The room was cosy, extremely comfortable and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were superb although virtually no English spoken we made ourselves understood. A brilliant place to stop if you are visiting Burgos.
Review 111:The family run hotel is in an excellent location for the town of Lerma. The restaurant offers a varied menu and the meal of the day is good value. We were made to feel very welcome. Would stay here again.
Review 112:Towels were made of a waffle weave fabric which were a bit rough on the skin!
Review 113:Situated in the old city quarter. Tasteful modern décor throughout in keeping with older Spanish building. Comfortable beds, clean modern bathroom. Although they did not cater specifically for vegetarians they were helpful and we had a fish dish with vegetables which was very tasty
Review 114:Ensuite compact and towels were made of unusual material which did not seem to absorb water well
Review 115:Beautiful though compact room. Interesting and different food and greatly enjoyed. Walking distance to main lerma sights
