Review 34：The location in with a vie for the hills was great. We really enjoyed the classical, romantic, intimate ambiance. The breakfast was very high standard - incredible!!

Review 35：The shower stall was of poor quality. One of the nozzles flew off when turning on the tap. The countertop room in the bathroom was very limited although the the bathroom itself is adequately sized. The counter should be at least large enough to accommodate 2 average sized toiletry bags. Turn the faucet in the sink to full open and it blasts water all over the floor and shoes. Wifi was spotty, working well in some places and not working in other places.

Review 39：Breakfast was a bit disjointed as there were 2 areas where food was available and the layout meant that you needed to move from one to the other to get what you needed, also if you wanted to eat on the terrace there was quite a long walk and steps to negotiate to carry your breakfast. Perhaps in the height of the season breakfast is laid out on the terrace?

Review 51：I was quite disappointed by our room. The floor had a wet area in front of the bed, and to keep bad smells away they had a device diffusing a horrible scent. I think it was to expensive given the above.

Review 53：Beautiful Hotel, beautifully clean. Xavier made it his business to make each customer happy in the bar and in the restaurant. He tirelessly and professionally works all day, they are very lucky to have him in their employ.

Review 54：The room we took was for three (tow adults and extra bed for a child), but it was very small for three people. The walls were too thin, and people using toilet and show located in the neighboring room just behind the wall did not let us sleep in the morning. The service was quite poor. It was usual thing not to find laid tables for the breakfast or no scrambled eggs in the morning. Twice during our 6 day stay we had to ask to make up our room as it was not done till 3 p.m. All this did not match our expectations for the 4 star hotel which charge 300 Euro for a day for three people (including breakfast).

Review 58：We ate once in the restaurant and that was enough. The menu was not impressive. The food was practically cold and not as tastefull as you would expect. the restaurant was sober (in line with the hotel), but the bar gives you a warmer feeling. You would expect the same for the restaurant.

Review 59：the room was spacious (also because they gave us a free upgrade to a suite), clean and beautifull (but the view was a roof). the pool is not to big (but therefore with pleasantly warm water, prefect since very few outside pools are heated). the pool area is beautifuly and lined with trees and quiet the hotel ambiance is perfect if you like quiet and with a nice scenery. You will get rested. the staff is very friendly, although sometimes a bit grumpy (I was once 5' late for breakfast and the were already cleaning everything. They were at first not amused, but recovered quickly and gave me what I wanted (which wasn't much).

Review 60：Walkable to village in the day if fit and well as it is a very steep climb but not suitable to walk to Begur at night unless you have a head torch as little lighting on route and bends on road not the safest to walk. There is a route off road but you would need torches for this. Hotel tended to play bland soul/ R and B during breakfast and evening meal - much better to be playing local Catalan/Spanish music and build on the fantastic atmosphere of the old monastery and the historic connection between Begur and Cuba reflected in the town's architecture and cultural activities. Make sure you pack insect repellent if by the pool in the evening. Wi-Fi on the slow side.

Review 61：atmospheric building in lovely grounds, excellent food eg monkfish with truffles, excellent breakfast, good staff, shuttle bus if needed to town and local beaches, small gym, sauna, 10 min walk from beach. 15 -20 min walk to Begur a lively town with some really good food and nice vibe. Quiet once evening dinner service is over. excellent mojitos.

Review 63：The hotel is a beautiful building on a lush green hillside. The facilities are exquisite and staff very friendly. Meals are amongst the best we had in Spain and the attention to detail at the hotel is superb. Within 10 minutes walk of the beach or an easy drive to other beaches and Begur - there's even a courtesy bus. This is one of the best hotel experiences we have had in 25 years of travel.

We had recommended the hotel to friends (as we had stayed in 2013) and they decided to book and accompany us. Their booking was made quite close to the arrival time and they secured a far better room with a pool view. It has to be said that we took the option to be able to cancel at the last moment and this seems to have influenced the room that was allocated.

Review 119：A very attractive hotel in a good location just 10 minutes stroll to the beach and a few places to eat. Our room facing the pool, was very nice with beautiful views and a small balcony. The hotel breakfasts were lovely as was the evening meal. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved it and will return.

Review 120：It was quiet during the week (I guess not full) but on the week-end you can clearly hear lovemaking from many, many rooms! Every little detail... I normally sleep well but the walls are thin and the stone carries all sounds. Guess if you cant sleep might as well add to the raucaus yourself! Perhaps the hotel could put some sound deadening items in the hallways to help? Plants? A rug? If staying at the Convent I'd ask if they have rooms that are not on the main hallway (I think there may be a one or 2 rooms.) Breakfast is exactly the same every day so if staying a few days it does get really boring.

Review 121：Lovely location in the hills - 1/2 hour uphill walk to lovely town of Begur - 10 minute walk to beach. Nice size room and pool. Night staff are helpful and friendly (especially Miriam). See note re sound!

We loved the swimming pool and sauna area!! Excellent price/quality rate, but I believe thanks to the low season (beginning of May), so it's perfect for a few days outside of the high season, I guess it must overcrowded and much more expensive during summer. Otherwise, we will definitely come back to this place, and Begur is a wonderful place. Very helpful and friendly staff, thanks!
