Reviews for Aiguaclara
Review 1:The bed was awful and it was a very noisy room, people coming & going, using the coffee machine at all hours. Average breakfast.
Review 2:The staff members were delightful. Evening meal was very nice. Great area to eat etc.
Review 3:Everything was enjoyable and worth to remember: room, breakfast, dinner, massage, location and owners and staff attitude! The only reason reduced score a little for facility is parking bit far away and dripping flush in toilet needed some persuasion to stay closed. Mind, it is not Marriott, it is much more unique and charming!!
Review 4:The massage by a man.
Review 5:I loved the fact that the host and hostess were as welcoming as my family would be. They seemed to absolutely love what they've created and love sharing it with every guest who arrives. It was one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. I will be back.
Review 6:A little noisy from room above but that's old buildings without insulation. The lovely old tiles and features made up for it.
Review 7:Beautiful building with funky decor. Food fantastic and staff and owners were really friendly
Review 8:Nothing really - it is pricey and the food is, but its a nice treat hotel
Review 9:Location near centre of Begur Beautiful decor Friendly, helpful staff Tasty breakfast with later times
Review 10:no negatives whatsever!
Review 11:Loved the decoration and collection of objects displayed throughout the fabulous colonial mansion. Great that you could help yourself to drinks and snacks at any time of night and day complete with designer Smeg fridges. Outside terraces tranquil and spacious, lovely lounge feel inside, relaxed and comfy with a lived in feel, felt personal and homely. Attention to detail throughout, very well designed and with friendly service. Would go back in a blink!
Review 12:We loved everything. Very funky eclectic hotel. The staff were superb. They made you feel like old friends. The restaurant is a must for dinner. Excellent menu and food. Thursday night entertainment was great. Location great ! Can't say enough positive things about this hotel. Hope we return. Michelle and Mal
Review 13:We liked everything!
Review 14:Lovely food - breakfast and dinner, very friendly helpful staff, comfortable bedroom, great location in the centre of a vibrant picturesque town
Review 15:The wifi was good at times but would randomly slow to a crawl. The church bells which ring every 15 minutes in town are charming but it took some getting used to in the middle of the night.
Review 16:Great hotel. They gave us good recommendations and went out of there way to be friendly. It is a good looking hotel with great character. Our room was spacious and had a nice view of Begur. It is a great location in the center of town with just a minute or two away from cafes and shops. The restaurant was simply awesome. Aiguclara just has a nice vibe. I would go back again in a heartbeat.
Review 17:The bathroom - especially the shower floor (hidden by a wooden plank). The floors - old, broken, dirty tiles. The plastic chairs in the living room.
Review 18:The atmosphere. The restaurant/breakfast room and breakfast. The light, and high-ceilinged rooms. The porch.
Review 19:Trendy and individual
Review 20:It doesn't have an elevator

Review 22:No

Review 32:Staff and owners lovely, stylish and homely accomodation.
Review 33:Wonderful place. Welcoming staff. Very cool vibe in the hotel.
Review 34:Staff, hotel restaurant, location
Review 35:It's an insanely beautiful hotel, in a really great small town and the owners and staff are kind, considerate, and wonderful people.
Review 36:The friendliness. It was like visiting long lost family. The staff went beyond in making us feel welcome.
Review 37:A pool would have been wonderful but the place was fantastic anyway.
Review 38:Superb retro-style, friendly people and great food.
Review 39:No elevator.
Review 40:Clara and Joan, the owners, were outstanding and heped us throughout our 4 night stay.
Review 41:bit odd having a see through bathroom door........
Review 42:the owners esp the warm reception at 1 am and the offer of a bottle of white wine to take to our room to unwind after the journey
Review 43:The chiming of the church bell which is only 100 metre from the hotel did not allow me to sleep through the night for 2 nights, after which I booked out. The clock strikes every 15 minutes, once at 15 mins past the hour, twice at 30 mins past. 3 times at 45 mins past and 4 times when it reached the hour. The clock then strikes the hour, which at 5 in the morning is another 5 gongs.I am a reasonably heavy sleeper and if it wakes me 8 or 9 times though the night, heaven help someone who is a light sleeper. When I spoke about my problem, the owners said they were aware of the bells and had tried to reduce the noise in the room, however they have not been in any way effective. I had to move out I felt jet lagged. Also the sliding door to the adjoining bathroom from the bedroom was 2 inches narrower than the doorway, leaving a 1 inch gap either side of the door, hence no real privacy when using the bathroom.
Review 44:The orange juice and marmalade for breakfast and the initial reception from the owners.
Review 45:Asked for a quiet room with a view. Got neither. Room was on ground floor off entrance hall, so noisy. The dinning room had inadequate heating so eating breakfast or an evening meal was cold and unpleasant. The decor was shabby chic.
Review 46:The location in the centre of town. The parking although expensive was good. The room was spacious and clean.
Review 47:Hot breakfast would have been better. However, I believe most B n Bs in Europe only do the continental style
Review 48:Johan and Clara and their staff looked after us very well. Informed us on what to do and see in the area and where to eat. All was very good.
Review 49:I have no criticism of the hotel, but I would not recommend Begur as an ideal holiday destination for solo travellers. I did not meet a single other solo traveller whilst I was there, its mainly families with small children, and couples, and I was refused a table for one in several of the restaurants. This has never happened to me before, and I have travelled extensively.
Review 50:The aigua clara has a uniquely creative design and feel, which makes if feel like a beautiful home away from home. The owners have thought of every detail, even providing beach towels and an 'honesty bar' stacked with anything you might need. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and taken care of.
Review 51:The church bells ringing every 15 minutes!
Review 52:Everything, we just loved everything about this Hotel. The owners and their staff are truly beautiful people!
Review 53:Nothing!!!
Review 54:Everthing!! The most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed. Fantastic vibe and atmosphere, really relaxing, amazing decor and truly lovely people. It was like staying in a friend's house and we can't wait to go back
Review 55:This is not a hotel for those who want 24 hr concierge, mini bars andhaute cuisine restaurant. That was perfect for us, but is is more like agrown up guest house than a sophisticated hotel. Watch out for a childin the room above. One that plays with wheeled toys on the terracottatiled floor or bounces a ball. The noise is awful, but the ownerimmediately spoke with the parents and the noise reduced.
Review 56:Decor. Owner treat you like guests in their own home. Facilitiesare lovely.
Review 57:No hot water on 2 mornings, noise from other guests in the morningsclosing the original double doors that every room has!
Review 58:Superb hotel, very quirky but beautifully furnished - utterlycharacterful. Great staff, good food, excellent value! A real one off.
Review 59:Great restaurant, really welcoming staff.
Review 60:Friendly genuine & helpful staff, large room , great breakfast!
Review 61:the owners Joan and Clara are super lovely people. the hotel is perfect for a 3 night or longer break. Very relaxed. Breakfast good
Review 62:What a great place. Incredible food, great location and amazing owners.
Review 63:Paying for parking, bathroom a bit small.
Review 64:Friendliness of owners, relaxed feel, quirky/vintage style of hotel, chill out space.
Review 65:Staff Beautiful Rooms Unusual Decor Comfort Relaxed Vibe
