Reviews for Vdara Hotel & Spa at CityCenter Las Vegas

Review 1:Very nice hotel in a great, central location with no gambling. Excellent cafe that has gluten free options, and very knowledgeable staff. Good views from rooms on upper floors.

Review 2:Charging for coffee pot now. Shame on them--across the entire corporate holdings now. Marketplace restaurant is slow slow slow and not attuned to customer service.

Review 3:Quiet upscale non gaming hotel within walking distance of lots of eats and entertainment. Spacious rooms frequently one of the best margins on the strip. Engaging staff.

Review 4:Cleaning staff was spotty, not emptying trash in some days and leaving cleaning supplies in rooms in others. Also noise from music at the Cosmopolitan next door was obnoxious even on the 35th floor of the vdara.

Review 5:Friendly staff, no casino

Review 6:The pool is quite small and was even closed due to rain while we were there (not their fault). We could go over to Aria though to use their great (heated) pool area. Worked for us.

Review 7:Spacious room and bathroom. Nice style.

Review 8:Even though it was a kitchenette unit, a coffee maker was charged additionally, and there were no silverware or plates... odd.

Review 9:Very nice amenities, great location, nice staff.

Review 10:they removed coffee machine, and charged $20 per day . shampoo and conditioner came with fanny shaped bottle,no more classy quarity.

Review 11:still my favourite hotel in Las Vegas. we booked city corner suit, but they upgrated to panoramic view ! also as a housewife's point of view, washing machine helped a lot before back to home!

Review 12:pricey. Requested fountain view (not pool view) 6 months in advance and they would not guarantee it until we checked in(!). We barely got it because we checked in so early.

Review 13:convenient access to bellagio, monte carlo, and city center. Good location on strip.

Review 14:The staff was extremely helpful with a bad situation. I had a oversized vehicle and the lot was promised to a large corp. They bent over backwards to solve my issue. Bad start but good results!

Review 15:The alarm clock and the hair dryer were both broken. Alrm clock went off at 7am and in the middle of the night, and there was no way to turn it off. Wr had to take the batteries out because it was buzzing evenafter we unplugged it. The hair dryer stayed cold.

Review 16:Valet parking (pickup) could take longer during check out time.

Review 17:First time at Vdara and we enjoyed the experience. We stayed at the panorama suite (facing the strip) and had a great night time view. Alternative would be to face the Bellagio fountain and north side of strip (little plain). Vdara has no casino (which is not a bad thing), so it is less noisy, less crowds, less commotions, and no cigarette smells when you walk into the lobby. Free valet parking. Good internet speed. Short walk to Crystal, Bellagio, and Aria.

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:Although it was a new year Eva and fully with people.. Everything was smoothly and smiley staffs, clearness and security everywhere .. Best service Nice location Free parking

Review 20:No tableware/cutlery in kitchen unless requested. No kettle. Cannot control room lighting from bedside. Shower head not very adjustable. Whistling noises in room either from window/vents?! Having to walk through smoky casinos to reach hotel. Gym a little on the small side given the amount of guests.

Review 21:Staff were great from reception to maids, we found them all very friendly and helpful. Location pretty central, although is set back from strip. Link to trams between resorts was good. Room although not overlooking the Strip had nice views & was well maintained.

Review 22:The staff in recption always play with me to charge for my room for phone calls for .booking .com or for nothing to charge my room And I never go this hotel again And attention to every body go this hotel check akways the bill & don't do any phone calls from the hotel

Review 23:The bed was a bit uncomfortable

Review 24:The rooms were very well appointed and for the money was amazed by what all I got as far as clenliness and options in the room itself.

Review 25:We didnt get to enjoy the pools or hottub because they close at 4. I mean we're i. Vegas nothing ever closes let alone the hottub at our hotel. Also.. There was no co ed spa. That was a bummer.

Review 26:We enjoyed the view from our room, and housekeeping was really friendly.

Review 27:A little bit pricy and it take at least 15 min to get to the strip area.

Review 28:The hotel is very clean, staff are friendly and flexible "gave is 2 hours late checkout cuz I was extremely sick and the flight wasn't until 7 PM" the market gourmet restaurant is EXCELLENT and very good value for money with delicious breakfast and lunch "don't look anywhere else...

Review 29:It's a bit difficult to get to the strip from the main entrance. have to go through Bellagio.

Review 30:The location is exceptional. Nice view. Clean and modern room facilities.

Review 31:Front Desk Lady was sensational. Checked me in early and went extra lengths to be helpful!!! Helped introduce me to Meeting Staff to set up a later business meeting. Lobby bar and Lobby Breakfast were great!!!

Review 32:the rooms are not very modern and they lack the 4 star essential such as a coffee machine

Review 33:location and the fact that it doesnt have a casino in the lobby

Review 34:Nil - maybe could have included breakfast

Review 35:Immaculate rooms, HUGE room, stunning view of the Bellagio Fountains from our room, close to everything, non-smoking

Review 36:I loved the view from the room! the food from the cafe was delicious too! also, excellent room service when we ordered breakfast. the girl that brought up the food even set up each seat with proper plates and silverware! I also loved that this hotel did not have a casino meaning smelling no smoke. A++ for that.

Review 37:It opened just five years ago and already needs work?? At least the room we were in could certainly use a bathroom renovation. Also, no bathrobe or slippers? Is this five-star or what?? Bed sheets had holes - small but nonetheless.

Review 38:The staff was nice and friendly. Good value for the money. Good location in City Center.

Review 39:The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak.

Review 40:Our room was beautiful. It had a very modern feel. We had a great view. Loved the tub. Staff was very warm, friendly and helpful.

Review 41:Second bed was uncomfortable Some of the staff was rude It was very expensive! And hotel charged me more than the price I booked, I had to spend extra hour to prove it

Review 42:It was a nice room with a good view Good location

Review 43:The shower head was so high that once I got it positioned right, my nose was 1/2 inch from the wall. There was a waitress about 6:00pm Saturday night in the bar tables area who was pretty much clueless. This property, like all MGM properties it seems has its issues. The fans overhead in the bar outside area were not on because it was Winter, but they were caked with dust from when they were running. I've notice this type of nastiness in various forms at every MGM property I've visited. A Steve Wynn property would NEVER have this problem. Only other disappointments were the size of the bathroom and the one sink situation. WE spent the prior 5 nights at the Palazzo so perhaps our perspective was jaded.

Review 44:The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've had in Las Vegas. Almost everyone one the staff was over-the-top cordial and accommodating. The bar and especially Brandi the bartender were my favorite parts of the trip. I saw a lot of pets so it must be pet friendly.

Review 45:Quiet, separate from casinos, but close to everything. New and modern. The price was adequate. The staff was very friendly. We were able to check in earlier before 3pm and it was very helpful having the kids with us. The room had kitchenette which we loved as well.

Review 46:The Cafe was small with very limited food choices. We had kitchen facilities in our room but no plates, cups, forks etc to use the kitchen.

Review 47:Location was perfect. Super easy access to Aria, Cosmopolitan, Crystals and Bellagio. Didn't have to walk through giant casino to get to my room! Love the all suites set up. Room to spread out.

Review 48:None

Review 49:This was a very comfortable hotel with very helpful staff. The room was very comfortable with a good view of Vegas. After wandering around other hotels along the Vegas strip, who had casinos incorporated within the hotel, it was a relief to go back to the Vdara to eat and drink where it was quieter, but still had a good buzzing atmosphere.

Review 50:It's a like and dislike, the fact it was just off strip was good but soon became a little tiresome having to walk through the Aria or Bellagio. Better access to the strip would make a big difference.

Review 51:Very nice hotel with no casino situated just off the strip. Good size clean rooms with views of the strip or up to North Vegas. Our room had a living area with another TV in it and also a kitchenette. It's a 5 min walk to either get to the Bellagio or Aria hotels. Very nice pool area although it suffered a little in the morning of no sun due to the height of buildings around it.This could of been due to the time of year though .Good value and would recommend staying here.

Review 52:There is only one location to meet people. 1 bar and the mini bar fill up for your room never happened. Parking isn't good. And the food was barely fair for the price.

Review 53:The view was very nice. And the non smoking was great as well. The staff was friendly.

Review 54:The lights were a little confusing so many switches and some didn't work...by the time we left we were more familiar with the electric blinds which were pretty cool!

Review 55:The room was very clean and big! The view was spectacular....had a corner suite with 270• view. The bed and robes were super comfy and enjoyed the soak tub!

Review 56:I liked the location, however this is for people to consider that the hotel is not in the famous strip, however is conviniently located behind Bellagio hotel and both hotels are connected. Hence if you are willing to walk for 10 minutes across Bellagio you are set to have a great stay.

Review 57:This is a great hotel, nice large new rooms, with great view. Large bathroom. Great service.

Review 58:Room cleaning and maintenance is severely lacking (broken tub spouts, very dusty and no cleaning of bath tub).

Review 59:Modern setting in an excellent location. No casino adds to the calm of the place.

Review 60:Although they had full kitchen in the room, it didn't come with kitchenwares. They would provide some when we asked, but not enough to cook an ordinally meal. I would have brought my tools if I knew that they didn't have many options.

Review 61:Spacious & quiet room. Polite staff. Easy walk to some major casinos.

Review 62:Spa closes early on holidays (I am aware that this is spoiled, but Thanksgiving and Christmas are literally the most popular travel seasons, so we're paying top-dollar for amenities like this), pool closes at 5pm, no glass anywhere near the pool or jacuzzi (so you can forget sipping champagne by the poolside, unless you bring it in a plastic cup--the guy manning the pool was pretty rude about it).

Review 63:Beautiful, gigantic room with a view, luxe hotel spa, fantastic front desk/houskeeping/food service, no casino (meaning no smoke in the lobby).

Review 64:perfect location! it lies in the center of LV and there's a tram connected with crystal shopping mall. It's close to any other cosinos, very convenient!

Review 65:A good restaurant would be a nice addition.

Review 66:I loved this hotel. In recent years I have stayed at the Bellagio and the Venetian, and 13 years or so, ago, I stayed at the MGM Grand and the Monte Carlo. However good the accommodation, having to walk through a huge casino that stinks of booze and cigarette smoke ruined it for me. Hotels in Vagas are designed to ensure residents have to take a long walk through the casino in order to reach their rooms. The Vdara is different - no casino. The rooms are lovely, the beds comfortable (I had two rooms for my two nights as I left to stay in Death Valley in between) and the bathrooms have great baths. The staff from Valet parking through to room service, and everyone in between were warm and friendly. A special heads up for Cody and Mellisa on the front desk. There is no restaurant, just a cafe (which is very good). However, given the lack of that, the in room dining is suprising good. It isn't just left on a nice trolley, but set up on the table in the room, with mats, flowers etc and advice to ring down when finished and someone will come and clear away. The bar at the Vdara is also rather nice.

Review 67:Called our room a "suite", but it was not really, room with tvs stuck in middle of it. Room was nothing special at all, bathroom was odd and shower slightly grungy looking. But we would still go back.

Review 68:Hotel is very convenient to big casinos, but very quiet, easy to deal with. Location is excellent, especially easy proximity to Aria.

Review 69:Average to poor design, cheap furnishings showing their age, our room was dirty, had to move. Spa is small- not what you expect at all and really boring design. Hotel very blah.

Review 70:location is great - you will end up at Aria and wish you had stayed there!

Review 71:I missed not being able to make coffee in our room. Having a cup while I'm getting ready is important to me. It wasn't warm enough to use the pool and the hours were too limited for the hot tub. So I'm not sure why the resort fee was so high. Was surprised and annoyed to find that taxes were added to that fee!

Review 72:The hotel is beautiful. We loved the elegant decor and the fact that it didn't have a casino.

Review 73:the way I had to pay for the hotel. I was charged for the whole hotel, then charged the first night during checking in. During checking out, I was charged a remaining balance. Then credited the second night. It was all very confusing.

Review 74:location

Review 75:Swimming pool can be closed to guests for a function!

Review 76:Slightly off 'The Strip' & no casino makes for a quieter entrance, reception and bar area.

Review 77:The showers were horrible, we asked if possible for a high floor room or a strip view and we got neither, even though we emailed weeks in advance

Review 78:staff in the convenience store in VDARA were very lovely, rooms were cleaned on a very high level

Review 79:Coffee in the room (nada) but a quick trip down the elevator with a baseball cap solved that problem.

Review 80:Beautiful room, view and location. Quiet and out of the noise of the casino.

Review 81:The curtains does not prevent daylight from awaking you. The shower stream cannot be directed down. The illumination system is complicated and uncomfertable.

Review 82:nothing

Review 83:The heater of the room was not working. You got freezed for $300 per night. This is like a joke. Eventhough they sell the room as a studio with kitchen, they dont even have a cup to drink water or a plate to eat something. Kitchen is completely empty. It is complete waste of money to spend extra if you are thinking that you would get a room with kitchen.

Review 84:The location is great

Review 85:There was a small mix up with our dinner order. Also we had hoped to to a load of laundry before we left the hotel, but by the time we got the detergent we had to check out.

Review 86:Loved the upgrade we received, it was a perfect ending to our vacation. We love Vdara. Also when we got to the room and noticed only decaf coffe for the next morning, the hotel sent up more than plenty regular coffees right away.

Review 87:use a GPS system because entrance is not so obvious and easy to find, prices and vdara market are not in line with quality

Review 88:excellent calm and relaxing spot in a crazy city, highway is no drawback, close walkway to bellagi and aria is a nice benefit, room is large, super clean and well equipped, pool and gym a big plus

Review 89:No gift shop. Very small market and store.

Review 90:The view, the room. It was r 40th wedding anniversary and we were given an upgrade. The king size bed pillows were wonderful. We r going to order some

Review 91:A coffee/tea machine and maybe one pot for the stove would be helpful.

Review 92:This is an excellent hotel for guests with children or who are allergic to smoke. It was clean, generally good staff and the food choices downstairs are excellent - especially since there is a microwave, fridge and kitchenette.

Review 93:Although not right on the strip, Vdara is a short walk from both Bellagio and Aria and through them to the Strip. Vdara is all-suite; mine had small kitchen area with a table and two chairs. The sitting area was separated from the bedroom by a wall and a desk; the wall had a tv on either side of it, and there was an area beside the desk for charging electronic goods. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom had a large stand-alone bathtub and a shower enclosure with a ledge for sitting. There was plenty of room next to the bathroom sink for placing toiletries, etc.

Review 94:One small restaurant would have been nice rather than just a cafe

Review 95:Really enjoyed staying at a clean smoke free hotel. As it has a short walk way joining it to one of the main strip hotels, it was so convenient. The suites were spacious and very comfortable.

Review 96:None really

Review 97:The place was modern and very clean. Free wifi and Vdara is well connected to Bellagio and the Strip. Our room had a grand view of the Bellagio fountains and the Strip part. I left important items in the safe and the Security and Lost&Found Staff where very efficient in sending it on time before I left for my international flight back home...The service was excellent! Kudos!!!

Review 98:Our room had a kitchenette but there was nothing in it, not even a teaspoon! You can request them but it's annoying. Also, no tea/coffee making facilities. you can rent a coffee machine for $20 a night, which is a cheek seeing as you're paying a lot for the room.

Review 99:Our room was excellent- well designed, spacious and comfortable. Excellent sleep quality. I liked that the Vdara isn't a casino hotel so feels classier and less hectic.

Review 100:Got charged 3 times when booking show tickets at the concierge, I am still trying to sort it out

Review 101:Not a casino hotel, and great location. Light and not busy. Did not smell of smoke

Review 102:There was a very strong cleanser odor that burned my nose and eyes. It mellowed by morning and otherwise was a superb experience

Review 103:I love this place! Best luxury value anywhere,

Review 104:Service just no-existing. Rude and not in line with hotel rating. Not really having a food venue. Breakfast at the "market" is worse that mcdonald. Had eggs benedict which came from somewhere totally cold. The vallet was laghing at me because not able to find the luggage storing facility.

Review 105:Suites are new and very nice. Hotel is overall nice

Review 106:Everything was perfect, the one thing we didnt like is the check out time, it was too early in my opinion especially if youre spending your time out late. But thats just my opinion.

Review 107:The room was beautiful! A bit pricey but was totally worth the stay!

Review 108:Although the room has a full kitchen, there were NO cups, utencils, pot, coffee maker, or anything to utilize the kitchen. Would have been great if there were some kitchen equipments.

Review 109:Clean, spacious room. Comfortable bed. Big windows with good views.

Review 110:The fridge in the kitchen area was very small. It wasn't well advertised that you neede to phone for cutlery and plates.

Review 111:The fact that it was a non casino hotel. The suites were fantastic with a wonderful view. A very relaxed and calming atmosphere.

Review 112:Went to use the pool on one of the warmer days we were there. Only to be told it was closed due to a private function. The guy who told us was very rude and didn't apologies. Offered us to use the pool at another resort which was as good as the 5 star standard we paid for.

Review 113:The room was amazing. Emily at check in was great.

Review 114:First night, I was sleeping on the pull-out sofa. 2 a.m. pulled it out and no sheets, blanket or pillow. None anywhere in the closet, etc. Too late to bother. Called and received next day. Location is theoretically great, but we felt like we were trapped on an island at Vdarra. Could not just walk over to the strip. Had to literally go through the Aria or Bellagio or, I guess, get on a tram. None were ideal.

Review 115:Beautiful property, clean, modern, comfortable.

Review 116:Clean and quiet perfect for relaxing. Pool was great. Spa was great. When the relaxation is over just walk right next door to Aria and gamble your life away!

Review 117:Nearly impossible to get from the Cosmopolitan to the Vdara. Have to walk across traffic and then up to hotel via a sketchy elevator.

Review 118:Ease of access to Bellagio and Aria. The Tram service was excellent. The scent of the hotel upon arrival was very pleasant.

Review 119:Would have liked a kettle or coffee machine as standard in the room.

Review 120:Very convenient to The Strip but with out the noise and casino. Bar and cafe both good. Easy access to the Bellagio and Aria.

Review 121:No crockery, cutlery or kitchen utensils. Also we expected basic coffee/tea making facilities to be available. Having said that, staff were V helpful and sent up what we needed.

Review 122:We got the Bellagio lake/fountain view we had requested, which was fabulous, we never tired of looking at it!

Review 123:More quiet than other hotels, no casino, so no annoying people and noise. Beautiful room. Modern, very, very comfortable bed. Easy walking distance to Bellagio and to the Aria and the strip.

Review 124:Room could be cleaner. Great view but dirty windows!!! Internet went in and out of service all the time. Shower pressure non existent. Nice hotel but not a five star experience

Review 125:Stayed here on honeymoon in a city corner suite. The room was lovely with a great view.

Review 126:Views from the rooms were great. The public areas were attractive and comfortable. The restaurant offered a good variety of items. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Bathroom facilities were very nice. I liked the non-gaming atmosphere.

Review 127:I would highly recommend this hotel. It's on the strip but quiet as it has no casino. The rooms are lovely and the staff are very helpful. We had a view of the strip and the bellagio fountains.

Review 128:pool area quite small. you could hear the traffic on the freeway in the room (but very little)

Review 129:very big room, amazing big bed, two flat TVs; bathroom big and very clean; very friendly and helpful staff; no casino or restaurants in the hotel, therefor nice and quiet; but you can go just next door to the Aria for a casino and several restaurants. had an amazing breakfast at "The Buffet" in the Aria for a good price! the hotel is in the second row, so not directly on the strip (only 3 minute walk onto the strip), but this keeps it nice and quiet!

Review 130:A luxury hotel in the ideally location on the strip and good value for money. Located next to the Bellagio, our room had a view over the Fountains. If you want a great hotel without a casino and footfall of some of the themed hotels this is it.

Review 131:No coffee making facilities. Champagne in the minibar but no glasses. Pool closed even though the guests only used the eating area.

Review 132:Superb room, beautifully furnished with great views.

Review 133:We we came to check out we were told that we could use the spa to have a shower and change as we had an evening flight. We asked at main reception and the spa itself to verify this. We we got to the spa however the man who was on the desk told us we would have to pay $30 each to sue the amenities. We explained what we had been told earlier but he insisted we had to pay for full use. I again explained we only wanted a shower and change which would take 15 mins. He told us we could use just the restroom which had no shower facilities. We were left with no option. This left a wonderful stay with a slight on it for the last hour.

Review 134:We liked the peace and calm that radiated from the Vdara when you walked through from the busy Bellagio. Because there was no casino it was very relaxing

Review 135:A bit over pricey otherwise pretty good. Telephone calls very very expensive, even though I did not get through to the party I called. 29$ for 2 minutes. Plus taxes- ridiculous. Don't know wat the resort fee is for.

Review 136:Location was great. Very modern and comfortable rooms.
