Reviews for Hotel Las Aguilas
Review 1:Buffet could be better. And i would like better king size bed not two twin beds.
Review 2:Totaly love the location. Away from crowded touristic area, away from all the buz. And at the same time -just 10 min ride to city centre Puerto del la cruz.to lago martinez . Mountain view is the best. Love it totaly. There is LIDL 15 min walk away and kids shop. Animation team -love them . So funny . I miss this hotel.
Review 3:The small pool was not heated enough, the bigger pool was not heated at all. the inside rooms very nice and clean but TVs very old. Hotel is too quite, high class people mainly German, very quite atmosphere makes it little boring sometimes. Not many kids around during the day, very quite hotel in general.
Review 4:The hotel is fantastic in everything, location, nature and food. Excellent in all means. I felt the luxury and relaxation. No British people found at all in this hotel. The best area on the island for people who like the quite atmosphere, not many British in this area but we found lots of German and European people. The south airport is 1 hour drive, but you can use the bus. Best to come to north airport. Book a car to see more places on the island, or stay in hotel with all inclusive and enjoy the sun.
Review 5:The room and bathroom areas don't feel and look clean, in fact, it's not clean - hairs on the floor were found in the bedroom and bathroom. Needs total refurbishment and better cleaning and maintenance. No shower chair supplied in spite of the room being for disabled people. Kitchenette was in the room, but nothing else supplied to be able to use the area, so no point in having the facility.
Review 6:The outdoor area with fantastic views of the town and sea, plus outdoor pool and facilities - great setting. Evening entertainment in the bar was a nice surprise.
Review 7:Rooms noisy, furniture moved on the stone floor of neighboring rooms are heard strongly. Aircon much too noisy. Food breakfast, little fantasy, boring
Review 8:Good view, big room
Review 9:Some of the staff were not nice at all. In the dining room most of all. When checking out no one asked did we enjoy our stay.
Review 10:Location was good. The food was great.
Review 11:Poor quality food, no heating as it gets cold in evenings. Everything from pool towels to room keys you pay a deposit, they don't trust anyone.
Review 12:Not much, nice grounds.
Review 13:This is a hotel I once visited some 40 odd years ago, when it was the Altavista, it has had a pretty chequered history, but come through smelling of roses.
Review 14:No additional blankets in the bedroom ( a bit cold in February) & no free wifi in rooms.
Review 15:The hotel is beautiful. Large bed. Food from restaurant is varied. Closed to Loro park. Youth center for kids in the evening.
Review 16:We only stayed one night. The bed was comfortable but I was cold in the night and couldn't get warm. If we had been staying longer I would have asked for another blanket.
Review 17:The food was very good. Plenty of choice. The restaurant staff worked very hard.
Review 18:Noisy hotel - every room had a direct speaker to all the surrounding noises going on in the hallway and adjacent rooms. (We could hear bath time and lullaby's all night long. No hot tub - yes for realzies Bedding is in desperate need of updating. Pictures from the hotel dont lie. Bedding was dusty, faded and not comfortable. how they got the couch to match is beyond me?
Review 19:free breakfast
Review 20:Free wifi was slow and unstable. Not sure what was the point of having kitchen facilities but equiped even with a kettle. Bathroom towels could do with replacement
Review 21:Location is good if you have a car. Great mountain and sea views. Nice breakfast choice but restaurant is very crowded at all times and hard to find a seat.
Review 22:Only 1 gripe no tea/coffee facility in room despite a working kitchen but absolutely no utensils not even cups and a kettle
Review 23:Room excellent, food at breakfast/ dinner very good plenty of choice. Grounds, pools, public rooms all very well kept
Review 24:Hard to locate on first arrival, after dark. The address given on the hotel website is highly misleading. No wifi available in the rooms, and the free wifi in the lobby was unreliable.
Review 25:Excellent catering - very varied and extensive menus. Spacious suite with stunning views. Friendly and helpful staff. Set in gardens on its own hilltop away from other buildings.
Review 26:The hotel would need some renovation/refurbishment. Only accessible by car.
Review 27:Spaciousness of the room. Views from the room balcony. Facilities for children. Easy parking.
Review 28:Tiny old TV with no English entertainment channels, terrible food, upselling to proper Wi Fi., All Inclusive, hire of safes, kettles, etc. Etc.
Review 29:Massive 2 bedroom suite, reliable shuttle bus, great views, near big shopping centre.
Review 30:False advertising, the rooms look like the pictures BUT, they are not 68 square meters as advertised they are 58. In fact as you come up to the reception there's a picture of the rooms and even there it says it's only 58. Wifi extremely poor and not what you'd expect when you have to pay extra for it. Only for one device. Not possible to use it even for googling nearby restaurants. Receptionist taking you for a fool being rude when there's any issues.
Review 31:The view
Review 32:Only the fact that we couldn't stay longer than a week! Really, I couldn't fault the hotel itself at all. On our final day we asked to check out an hour later than normal and this was accommodated without any issue. The only disadvantage is that it is a little out from the town centre which means going to/from the town centre means taking the shuttle bus (which is free but the frequency is limited) or a taxi. However for us the views afforded by its location more than compensated.
Review 33:It's a pretty spectacular setting - built on top of an extinct volcano with views of the mountains and El Teide (clouds permitting) to the front and Puerto De La Cruz and the sea to the rear. The name translates as 'The Eagles' and there are indeed hawks and eagles swooping around the hotel. :-) There are three swimming pools to suit all ages and the views from the bar area are magnificent. Our room was a fine size - had a separate lounge/kitchen area with fridge (which was needed in this heat) and our spacious balcony offered good sea views despite being on the ground floor. We stayed B&B so didn't sample the dinners or lunches but the breakfast buffet was fine.
Review 34:The room was set up as an apartment but there was absolutely no equipment. We went out and bought a cheap pan and cups so we could make a cup of tea.
Review 35:The view from the balcony was worth the cost of the stay. The accomodation was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with both English and continental food.
Review 36:- We bought a 7-day Wi-Fi access but the connexion was bad everywhere in the hotel
Review 37:- free and big parking for the car, large choice for the breakfast, the swimming-pool with the view on the mountain
Review 38:I am trying to think of something.....ummmm
Review 39:Sleeping on a volcano :-)
Review 40:The view, pools gardens and staff.
Review 41:Would rather live higher up than 1.th floor.
Review 42:Food, pool, bed, bathtube, localization, u.s.w.
Review 43:Wifi to bad
Review 44:Thr rooms were very nice and comfortable. Breakfast and evening neal were excellent.
Review 45:I was disappointed with the Wi-Fi as it rarely worked.
Review 46:Nothing not to like with the hotel itself.
Review 47:The room was tired and the furniture tatty.
Review 48:Excellent staff
Review 49:Boring and soulless Noisy Ill equipped - a kitchen with nothing in it, no kettle, no mugs not a thing. Not enough parking. Booked and paid for 3 nights, left after one - never again.
Review 50:The view and size of the rooms
Review 51:Noise from motorway Free Wi-Fi only in reception Paying for use of safe/pool towels No coffee making facilities in room that has a full kitchen!!!!!!!
Review 52:Spacious rooms Views from hotel Pools Good parking facilities Nice breakfast
Review 53:Beware that the hotel is up a hill so it's a steep walk if you don't have a car. Not enough car parking spaces at times, would be bad in high season.
Review 54:The choice for breakfast was fantastic, staff attentive and all food quickly re-stocked. Brilliant views from the hotel. Lots of things to do in the hotel on an evening.
Review 55:Twin beds, and we told them it was our honeymoon. Asked for a high floor, got a third floor, overlooking car park. Food was poor quality, meat was overcooked and not edible, the fish was the same most nights, everything was cold. I am not a fussy eater and have enjoyed many all inclusive Hotels, but cold baked beens in the morning.....after 3 days, I walked around the buffet choosing what I disliked the least, and sadly ate to live. We were given a list of what was available to all inclusive, and one afternoon we tried the 'sandwiches served from 5pm till 7pm'.....shocking when we found them, in a fridge that was made for ice cream, thoughtlessly cut and wrapped in halves in paper serviettes, choice of chocolate spread or spam and cheese !! not 4 star, not even 1 star. (I had imagined some thoughtfully presented quarters with tasty fillings in a choice of brown and white bread) My husband does not drink alcohol, and this was the first Hotel that did not (even when asked) do milk shakes, surprising as children love them too! At the bar there is a list of drinks, and a separate list for all inclusive....so this did make you feel of less value than those paying. I have enjoyed cocktails at Hotels before, but at this Hotel there is a short list of cocktails that all inclusive guests are allowed. This is not fair, as holiday is the time when we like to have our favourite things, and we spent the time 'making do'. There were snacks at the pool bar from 11 till 3, which we had once, the chips as with dinner are the cheapest thin frozen ones, and I was so hungry I ate them, they had also been there a long time, were tepid and dried up. A paying couple came to the snack bar, and had the same food, but all freshly cooked. The restaurant was big and noisy, not a pleasant atmosphere to dine in. Two evenings there was no brown bread at all in the Hotel (after asking) shame on you.
Review 56:Large room. Peaceful, no noisy bars nearby. Lovely views from Hotel garden.
Review 57:The Hotel whilst comfortable needed some refurbishment, The bar and lounge/entertainment area is very dated and in need of a make-over. The en-suite bathrooms also need refurbishing as do the towels.
Review 58:The position of the Hotel is fantastic and the grounds and pool areas exceptional.
Review 59:The room needs a refreshment and is not worth a four star hotel. Staff not really friendly. TV poor and channels only limited choice, could be more international. We were updated at arrival to a bigger room because hotel was fully booked but roomdoors of the extra rooms were locked which i don't find a nice attitude to guests and reason why we will not book again this hotel.
Review 60:Stunning views over Puerto de la Cru and ocean. Breakfast, parking place and surroundings are great (park and swimming pools)
Review 61:all a little tired. should be updated!
Review 62:very good value for money. Be aware there is a cold side and a sunny side.Sunny side is facing the mountain, when booking. All excellent suites as it was built as a time share originally. fantastic views
Review 63:It was very nice to stay at this hotel. Food was good and everyday was something new in the menu. Room was very big and clean, big balcony with the mountain view. There are a lot of old people staying here and there no as many attractions as at the south of the island, but we had rent a car, so there was no problem to travel along of the island. In fact hotel really worth staying in it.
Review 64:Very hard old resort beds, a real torture. Unappetizing food, but it was cheap. Wifi doesn't work in rooms, even paying. Grandmother's old small crt TV. Staff likes to rush you when eating, they remove your plates seconds after you finish, very efficient but hardly pleasurable. Literally cheap and old. Worth paying a little more and trying somewhere else.
Review 65:Budget oriented.
Review 66:Some rude staff Spa bath made bubbles/water dirty Air con was broken in front room Bin was broken Bday was broken
Review 67:Huge bed Clean room Big, clean pool Most staff very friendly Great food
Review 68:The kitchen was empty (not even a glass to drink from) so there is no use for it. the bed was not comfortable, the pillows were awful, and the blankets were not enough. There was no extra pillow or blanket available in the room. There is no free WiFi in the hotel.
Review 69:The room was big, with living room and kitchen. The breakfast was very good with variety of food. There is free parking at the hotel.
Review 70:I enquired about the miniclub by email before we booked and I was told it was daily from 1100 to 1300. That was one of the reason I booked. It turned out that it wasn't daily and was only for one hour on those days it was available. A big disappointment for my son. The Animation coordinator was very friendly, however, the night time entertainment for grown-ups lacked professionality.
Review 71:We loved the super friendly staff, especially Mercedes in the restaurant! The landscaping was stunning and overall a quiet, relaxing place to stay.
Review 72:Amenities ie soaps and towels in bathroom Dinner - food wasn't great and restaurant is stark, bright and soulless (although it was pleasant at Breakfast time)
Review 73:The setting Size of the rooms/balcony Location Decor Breakfast Helpfulness of (most of) staff Price
Review 74:Google maps led me to a dead end, just take a taxi!
Review 75:Beautiful resort, nice views
Review 76:the pillows in the bedroom are diabolical !!
Review 77:everything
Review 78:No tea/coffee making facilities in room
Review 79:location
Review 80:Food was very ordinary
Review 81:View & location
Review 82:That we could not stay longer
Review 83:I liked everything
Review 84:We liked fast everything, except no air condition in the room (althoung it was in the offer).
