Review 1:The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable after a long journey, and most welcomed! Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. All in all a must stay if you are in need of a hotel in this area!
Review 2:Very friendly and helpful staff. Very welcoming, secure parking excellent. Very comfortable and clean rooms. The proprietor recommended an excellent restaurant nearby. Will use this hotel each time travel south to our house.
Review 3:The hotel closes its doors at 9pm meaning that there is no bar service
Review 4:This is a fairly basic level hotel is a good location. The rooms have everything you need and are more than adequate for a short stay. Where the hotel does score highly is in the attitude of their staff. The member of staff we dealt with spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful.
Review 5:Very helpful as we had our Granddaughter with us and they gave us rooms next to each other with no extra cost . Great recommendation of a restaurant as well
Review 6:Convenient first-night stopover for travellers driving south from Calais. Small, well- appointed hotel with secure car parking and effective internet. Good restaurants within easy walking distance.
Review 7:Location when driving from London to Bordeaux and secure car parking on premises, so that you do not have to worry if you leave a lot of your luggage in the car after checking in at the hotel.
Review 8:Although room was well equipped with lights it was still rather dark and made reading difficult..
Review 9:Large room ( superior double) at back of the hotel , very clean and quiet. Good parking facilities. Easy walk into town.
Review 10:Close to the station, really helpful staff, lovely atmosphere in the Hotel, wonderful croissants and coffee for breakfast, the room was superb - so all in all ten out of ten for me.
Review 11:It would be nice if the hotel had a lift as my husband is partially disabled.
Review 12:Staff member very welcoming. Hotel clean, Buffet breakfast good value for money.
Review 13:Lovely tasteful decor and outside space particularly pretty. Very well maintained. Plenty of space for cars, in secure car park. Very friendly and helpful manager. Would definately recommend. It's a perfect stopover en route to / from channel ports. Having said that, Alencon is worth exploring in its own right.
Review 14:A well placed friendly hotel. Easy to find due to being well sign posted. We were travelling by motorbike and were able to park our bike securely undercover behind the hotel for no extra charge. A lovely town to explore and the hotel recommended a fabulous restaurant lass than a 10 minute walk away.
Review 15:The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Handy for town centre and we were recommended a restaurant where we had a good meal. Our room overlooked the garden and was very peaceful.
Review 16:Friendly, helpful manager. Secure overnight parking. Good location for an overnight stop (once you have found it) and for local restaurants. Good 3 star quality and excellent value for money. Good breakfast.
Review 17:We loved hotel staff were very helpful the dog very friendly but all joking apart we were well pleased with everything if you go we ate at Fano very good food not expensive
Review 18:Was informed on booking this hotel that there were plenty places for anevening meal. We walked quite a way but could not find a suitablerestaurant.after travelling 300 miles that day ended up making do with asandwich in the bedroom! Receptionist on our arrival was oblivious toour request.do the french not eat on sundays.?. Disappointed.
Review 19:Garage facilities. Cleanliness
Review 20:We were in disabled ground floor room and the bed was so hard that we could not sleep. I have no idea why hotels think that disabled people need beds as hard as a rock. Room 27.
Review 21:Liked everything about this place except for our bed. The breakfast was outstanding.
Review 22:The hotel is very friendly and English speaking. The rooms are very clean and breakfast although an additional cost is very good. The hotel is ideally situated for walking into the centre of Alencon.
Review 23:Bar closed at 9.00pm. Would have liked to have had a drink after eating out.
Review 24:Ideal for an overnight stop. Lovely garden for sitting out. On site safe parking.
Review 25:Very comfortable room, bathroom spacious & well equipped. Rarely do we get tea/coffee on continental hotels - this makes a big & welcome difference.
Review 26:The hotel let itself down badly by providing 2 waxed paper cups for tea and coffee in the room. 2 small uncomfortable foam chip pillows. 2 bath towels only. Had to request a hand towel.
Review 27:Clean bright modern room in convenient location for the centre. Lovely outside area
Review 28:Availability and selection of room teabags could be better
Review 29:Easy access from motorway. Secure off road parkiing . Good sized room with good free wifi. Nice bar across road and several restaurants within a short walk.
Review 30:Quite an acceptable hotel and value for money. Close to the railway station and with secure parking. A short stroll into town, and our room was quiet with a view over the garden. Staff were friendly, although it was a little challenging as the he's working that day did not speak English, and my French is almost non existent, still we managed okay. Diego the Labrador is adorable, and Duchess the cat was on hand to help check us out in the morning. Breakfast was minimal but fresh.
Review 31:The hotel was for a stopover,on route to the south of France. And was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was of a very good standard. We had a room looking onto the Railway station, but it did not bother us, we did not even hear a train, the room had everything needed for a stop over.
Review 32:Great small hotel, good location and easy to find. friendly owners and dog- good safe parking . Will definitely use this hotel as a stopover again. Continental Breakfast also excellent. There are some good places to eat in the centre of town (about 10 mins walk away)
Review 33:Spotlessly clean hotel, very comfortable room and beds, lovely garden with outside seating area. Free private and secure parking and a 10-minute stroll into the very attractive town of Alencon.
Review 34:easy to find. Great private parking/would be ideal if travelling on a motorbike. Very friendly staff who recommended a very nice restaurant. Comfy beds in very clean room. Fantastic breakfast! We will definitely book again!
Review 35:If one has to nitpick: we would have prefered a bath instead of a shower and the hotel bar does not offer evening-meals and closes fairly early.
Review 36:The location is perfect: close to the centre and easy to reach by car (private parking is availible). The staff is very friendly and helpfull (even when you do not speak more than a few mouthfulls of French). Rooms are comfortable and quiet, though a bit warm.
Review 37:The rooms are not air-conditioned, and we visited at the end of August; it would be nice if light-weight bedding options were more readily available. On the plus side, you can open the generously-sized windows quite wide if need be.
Review 38:The front desk manager was friendly, helpful and kind, and his dog "Diego" was a good boy! The on-site bar was good value and convenient, though we never had breakfast in it during the morning. As well, the terrace in the back was quiet and pleasant -- a good place to relax with an aperitif before dinner. It's also well within walking distance of several good restaurants and brasseries, and the bar just across the street was great for a stimulating café crème in the morning.
Review 39:secure parking with an easy walk to town centre ,friendly helpful owner, english spoken, good breakfast, easy detour from motorway, tea and coffee facilities, clean modern bathroom. large, quiet room even though it was on ground floor. We enjoyed exploring the town for a few hours. We would certainly stay again.
Review 40:No lift. Large car park, mostly uncovered, which was no problem, but it was covered in pebbles so it was not possible to wheel your case.
Review 41:Easy to find. Parking on site. An excellent restaurant, "No 64", was given as a suggestion for dinner. Being close to the station may be an advantage to some people.
Review 42:Good car parking, Nice garden for dog and clean, Staff very friendly and spoke good English and were very helpful. A nice relaxed atmosphere. Close to city centre.

Review 44:The breakfast is a bit expensive.
Review 45:Staff are friendly. It's like owned by a family. The location is just in front of the station and 10 minutes walk to the centre. The room was spacious and very confotable. They have a cozy garden.
Review 46:Diëgo in the kitchen, noise other rooms, no airco, crowded breakfast-room.
Review 47:Spacious room, lits jumeaux beds (parents room), soundproof streetnoise, secure parkingspace, sweet labrador Diëgo, good breakfast, minutes walk from citycentre.
Review 48:Nothing
Review 49:A great place to stay when driving down to the South West of France. Rooms were very good and breakfast was awesome. Also has secure free parking.
Review 50:Convenient, excellent value for money, spotless and the owner and his wife couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend.
Review 51:Breakfast could be improved with fresh milk, freshly squeezed orange juice - we had to squeeze the oranges ourselves, a choice of something hot, like eggs, toast
Review 52:Lovely garden, friendly staff, secure parking
Review 53:Very good hotel within 5 mins walk of town centre. Secure car parking which is very important to us. We had a room at the front, traffic became very busy about 6am weekday. Lovely quiet resident dog
Review 54:Have stayed here before.Fantastic hotel run by a very welcoming couple. The rooms are clean and comfortable.Great secure parking.Fantastic hotel too stop off at going south or north.Highly recommended.
Review 55:Free secure parking avoided having to unload the car for a one night stopover en rout South. Staff pleasant and made a good restaurant recommendation. Hotel easy to find and walking distance from many restaurants.
Review 56:Small room, Poor shower. High prices for drinks small beer €7, Small glass of wine €8 No accon
Review 57:Location good for walk into town centre. Staff friendly
Review 58:Would have preferred china cups in bedroom for coffee not paper. That said we were given them on request. Coffee machine would have saved delays at breakfast time when it was busy.
Review 59:Loved our room (no.28). Great to open doors to patio area. Beautifully decorated hotel. Friendly welcome and departure.
Review 60:Excellent atmosphere.Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Location opposite rail station - easy to find. We were sent entry codes and a suggestions for a restaurant as we would be arriving on Sunday pm, without having requested them - very helpful and an excellent restaurant. Good, secure parking.
Review 61:Lovely hotel, good location and very quiet with on-site parking. It was well organised, clean, friendly and the breakfast was good. Perfect for an overnight stop or a longer stay. The owner recommended 'restaurant 64' nearby where we had a lovely meal.
Review 62:An excellent hotel. Great location within a few minutes walk of the old town centre. Secure parking and a beautiful and tranquil garden. Perfect for overnight or a short stay.
Review 63:My only negative point was our room was very hot. No fans or AC.
Review 64:Lovely clean friendly hotel. Car very secure in hotel car park so did not need to unload as we were only staying one night on our way to Euro Tunnel. Lovely garden to sit out and enjoy a drink. Would highly recommend and definitely use again.

Review 66:No lift. No restaurant and nearest one recommended was ok but not great.
Review 67:Very nice hotel. Lovely pictures on walls!!! Very good parking. Considerate manager.
Review 68:Our motorcycle broke down when we arrived at the hotel. The staff Ema & Lilley were exceptional in there help and care, both very friendly and patient. , suffered a breakdown
Review 69:This is not a complaint only a suggestion ! It would have been nice to have tea making facility as we arrived very late when everything was closed up .
Review 70:The car parking facility was very secure . Also a very nice garden to sit and relax after a long drive .
Review 71:Wi Fi details not given until asked for and no mention of sauna on arrival.
Review 72:Good size room with double bed and single bed, table and chairs and view to garden. Good size shower area. Car parking security within the locked garden area. Breakfast was adequate and reasonable.
Review 73:A great find I stumbled across last year. Directly across from the railway station, but with a lovely enclosed garden and terrace. The owner is unfailingly helpful and cheerful. He and his wife provide an outstanding breakfast and maintain the lush garden beautifully. They share the laundry facility at no charge. Our room this year was even better than last year's room. Easy walk to town.
Review 74:Might have been nice to have had an evening meal there as not much seemed to be available elsewhere.
Review 75:We picked it because it was just what we wanted near the centre of Alencon
Review 76:There was a bar but it never seemed to be open! I could only use WiFi on one device (by the time I realised I needed a second sign on, reception had closed)
Review 77:Nice bedroom, convenient location, secure parking
Review 78:Nothing to report.
Review 79:Friendly welcome and reception. Free off-road parking and very comfortable room. No restaurant but an excellent recommendation for a local place, the Soixante Quatre.
Review 80:No one around at reception unless you rang the bell and reception closed at 9pm Only 1 wifi code given - we had 2 devices.
Review 81:Enclosed garden and secure parking. Easy to find from motorway and close to town centre
Review 82:The breakfast room was a bit tucked away - it would have been nicer if it had overlooked the garden. Breakfast was quite basic.
Review 83:The size and aspect of the room, overlooking the garden.
Review 84:If I could pick at anything the bed was a little on the firm side but that's only because I like a soft bed.
Review 85:The hotel is lovely, small, welcoming and personal, the gardens and seating area are fantastic for a drink after a day riding our motorbike and at the Le Mans race track. Its perfect for the racetrack, easy to get to by peage or a nice run down through Le mans town. The rooms and bathrooms are really luxurious, lovely white bed linen , contemporary decor in a beautiful house. Also especially good is the kettle for a cuppa! Great safe parking which is free, the hotel manager/owner recommended a restaurant to us called 64- fantastic food and atmosphere all a 5 minute walk away. I would definitely recommend this hotel
Review 86:Charming Receptionist, nice location, ample safe parking at the rear, accessed by up and over garage door, accessible from the hotel via the garden. Lovely garden, decked area for a sunny day. Clean pleasant bedroom, just a stroll to the old Church and a few restaurants and bars. A tabac style bar directly opposite. Generally enjoyed our stay and will definitely return
Review 87:The bed was extremely hard. There is no restaurant on site.
Review 88:Stylish decor, a lovely terrace at the rear, good secure parking. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality. A spacious room and the p,easing owners have a fabulous dog.
Review 89:Room 11, although lovely, is situated above the automatic gate for the parking so when latecomers arrived after we had gone to bed we were woken by the noise of the gate.
Review 90:The location of this hotel is great - near to the centre of town. The gated parking means we didn't have to worry about our loaded van overnight. Hotelier very friendly and helpful.
Review 91:Early closing bar, as were all those in near vicinity.
Review 92:The location was perfect for exploring Alencon. Very large comfortable room. Opposite station but good double glazing obliterated train noise. Great secure parking
Review 93:We had three rooms. Very quiet overlooking the patio area. Rooms were large with KING beds..Breakfast was nice. Free safe parking. Would recommend to friends and family. Very nice and helpful staff!
Review 94:Was not able to use wifi as we checked in on a sunday and there was no reception to let us know the password. This was a very minor inconvenience as all else was very good
Review 95:Very comfortable bbc tv channel secure parking very clean
Review 96:Nothing to dislike. If you're arriving on Sunday make sure you read the important advice on the Booking confirmation about checking in.... It works fine though!
Review 97:Neat and tidy hotel with very safe parking. Good breakfast and we took their recommendation of nice restaurant in town which was excellent.
Review 98:No restaurant for evening meal, but we were recommended to a local restaurant, which was excellent.
Review 99:We had a most enjoyable stay, comfortable room, friendly staff, restful night. We would be happy to stay there again when travelling.
Review 100:We didn't sleep too well - the problem, as so often - was .... the pillows!
Review 101:The room was very light and airy, with plenty of space (although I think we had one of the larger rooms). The staff were pleasant and helpful. It suited us to have a short walk into town (20 minutes), especially in the evening after having eaten in one of the many restaurants in the town centre.
Review 102:Great location with secure parking and lovely gardens and lovely welcome. It is situated near a train station and round the corner to the lovely town of Alencon with lovely shops/tourist information/great toy shop! Staff /owners very friendly, Diego the dog was always happy too.
Review 103:Very secure parking for loaded vehicle, large and modern rooms and proximity to town centre restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Important to let owner know in advance if you are arriving on Sunday afternoon.
Review 104:No tea and coffee in the rooms and we were charged (1x cup of coffee and tea) Breakfast only available, so to us more of a B&B and not a hotel; with young children having to find a place to eat in the evenings was a struggle as most don't serve until 7/730pm.
Review 105:Liked the garden and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The parking was also very secure and safe.
Review 106:Nothing really but you do need to plan your arrival to arrive after 4pm otherwise you might be standing around waiting.
Review 107:Perfect location for stopover, or longer, if required. Superb modern room with first class facilities. Very helpful owner, providing details of local restaurants as well coping with a late running window replacement at the same time. Breakfast was typical but perfectly adequate and good value. Hotel is on my list for a return visit. If you have time do walk down the road into the town centre which is well worth a visit.
Review 108:Not sure the wifi was very good?
Review 109:enclosed courtyard was ideal for car and dog!! All spotless, lovely helpful staff. The restaurant recommended was great.A little way from the centre, could walk it though I'm sure!Stayed here twice and would go back again.Thankyou all very much.
