Review 1：the only problem we had was that we were the only people staying there. It was very cold through out the property and no heating for which the owner apologised and gave us a small electric fan heater which was of little help

Review 11：It's a fine place to stay for a couple of nights. We chose a the family room instead of the appartment by mistake. The host is a darling and did anything to please us! We got addition facilities like use of the breakfast room during lunch and supper time. The pool is good with lots of balls and other stuff to play with in the water. The area is ok, not that special. NP Wissant is great and a hike along the beach and dunes towards the south is also great.

Review 31：-We actually booked this for the swimming pool which turned out to be closed. Not the hotel's fault though, as apparently they are closing throughout winter. Booking .com should have picked this up and have it on the comments. - very very basic English. - No bath tab. - No toiletries. - No tea/coffee or facilities to make a tea/ coffee in the room.

Review 33：In our room the shower room/lavatory were in a portion of the original room and the doorway was a loose-fitting curtain - it helps if you know each other VERY well in these circumstances. Not much in Berck-sur-Mer to tempt us back.

Review 48：A lovely former mansion complete with sweeping staircases, bevelledglass, tapestries etc. The owners were straight forward, helpful andfriendly, and where things didn't quite work to plan, they were thefirst to explain and apologise. Thus, our sleep was interrupted by adreadful squealing sound as someone elsewhere in the building had a 6amshower, but at breakfast 'Madam' came over to explain that therehad been a problem with the pipes and she was genuinely sorry. Theentire place had an air of shabby chic to it...genuine shabby chic, withsmall patches of damp, bits of peeling wallpaper here and there etc. Butit didn't matter. The hotel belonged to a real family, not a hotelgroup, and it was easy to see how a glorious building like that neededmore repairs and money than they could necessarily throw at it. Beforeanyone gets turned off by that, however, the room was impeccably clean,the breakfast simple but fresh and agreeable, the parking easy, and thebed one of the more comfortable and large that we have slept in inFrance (a country not know for its large comfortable beds!). It feltlike we were being allowed a glimpse into a home which had once beengrand and much loved, and we throughly enjoyed the honour for what was avery reasonable price.
