Reviews for Hoposa Costa D'or - Adults Only

Review 1:A little far from the nearest village, however the bus services are very good - if a little scary on the mountain roads

Review 2:Very relaxing. Wonderful facilities

Review 3:The restaurant was ugly. Also there is no beach. Don't believe the signs. A few pebbles only and very difficult to access, but a lovely walk. Crowd was bourgeois with little style. A few exceptions.

Review 4:The outside dining area was very pretty. Good view but not a great one: close to the water but can't see Deia town.

Review 5:i wold have liked a cookere in the room, for selvservice for tee and cofe the picnic was good, but to sweet, and the sandwich schould have been with dark bread

Review 6:the staff was very smiling and helpfull

Review 7:didnt like that we are a young couple and had twin beds , rather than a double. we felt a little young for the hotel.

Review 8:location as great and the views are very special. Hotel feels very dated though, could do with updating and making it a bit more charterful like the feel of the area, architecture etc... feels like very dated modern. hotel was alwasy clean and immaculate.

Review 9:Pay extra for better view over the sea and more quiet rooms. They can afford to have more ecological food.

Review 10:Enjoy nice rooms, excellent restaurant with chef Christian from Germany, very friendly personel, a quiet stay with a lot of walk possibilities.

Review 11:The room was very small with one very small window against the mountains. The price of the rooms was to high.

Review 12:The restaurant, the food, the location of the hotel and the Mallorca style.

Review 13:Driving from Port d'Soller on the winding coastal road to the hotel was a bit stressful. Left the car in the hotel parking and walked!

Review 14:Beautiful ocean views from the pooldeck, good food and friendly staff. Lovely walks to Cala Deya. Being an adults only hotel was a big plus for peace and quiet!

Review 15:Only disappointment was the lack of bars or restaurants within walking distance, exacerbated by lack of local taxi service. Bus service is reliable but infrequent. Hotel is superb in all other respects.

Review 16:Fabulous setting, elegant hotel, friendly staff, wonderful food. One of the nicest hotels I've experienced.

Review 17:Room lacked character and bathroom smelt a bit damp. Would have liked my breakfast orange juice to be freshly squeezed as the rest of breakfast was great.

Review 18:Fantastic setting, beautiful views. Lovely dinners.

Review 19:Very noisy... Constant clatter of plates, glasses and cutlery from the bar area, if in main building..Basic rooms with thin walls and doors, noise from corridor.. Small bathroom and poor toiletries.

Review 20:Fabulous views, nice pool, great breakfast taken on lovely terrace, friendly staff.

Review 21:A beautiful building, peaceful location, great view and very nice staff. It is very central if you want to explore the Tramontana mountains, which are worth the while.

Review 22:I'd asked for a room with a sea view but didn't get it. Would have been nice to know in advance but this was minor. The parking lot can be really difficult to get in/out. I suggest they offer to help park for you if possible.

Review 23:The location, the setting, the facilities. The staff were very nice and helpful. The food was excellent

Review 24:Though the location was quiet and serene, the walls were paper thin and their housekeeping staff started early and were quite loud.

Review 25:Nice location though hard to get anywhere without a car and far from airport.

Review 26:Amazing location on the cliffs overlooking the ocean below. Beautiful sunsets! Relaxing, quiet and warm atmosphere. Perfect for visiting Deia, Soller and Valdemossa as well as for all the coves along the western coast. Great breakfast and a la carte menu.

Review 27:Location,location,location! What a great view of the mediterranean from the swimming pool & restaurant terrace. Eating dinner out on the terrace with wonderful views of the sunset was a delight. The bedroom was excellent with separate bath & shower enclosure.

Review 28:Bed a little hard for me, a little niggle the head waiter a little stuffy, seemed to be more responsive to certain guests .

Review 29:Beautiful location, quite

Review 30:Would have liked some tapas at the bar at lunch time and early evening, to have a change from the restaurant. Surprised there were no mini toiletries in the bathroom.

Review 31:Fantastic setting with wonderful views and beautiful sunsets. So peaceful and quiet with wonderful friendly staff.

Review 32:The so called Finesscenter was definitely not worth the name.

Review 33:The fantastic views. Having breakfast and dinner on the terrasse with this view is something extra.

Review 34:The worst part was the access road to the hotel and horrendous parking - but I managed it (my husband doesn't drive) and as I'm used to an automatic - driving a gear change rental car on hairpins and steep hill starts was hardly relaxing, but definitely fun!

Review 35:The best part of our stay was the view and the pretty outdoor restaurant where you could have a lovely meal watching the sun set.

Review 36:There is a stop on the road above the hotel for buses to Deia/Valdemossa and Soller and there are plenty of walks but because of the location a car is very useful for exploring the area more widely.

Review 37:The character and atmosphere of this hotel combined with plenty of places to sit quietly and relax make this hotel.

Review 38:Unfortunately were only able to stay 1 night, due to hotel being closed for health and safety reason ( unsafe balcony). Staff couldn't have been better or more helpful and arranged alternative accommodation, which they paid for. No seconds thoughts about going back.

Review 39:Location, comfort quietness

Review 40:Restaurant was good, but menu did not change. If I tipped via the food and drink bill -- it did not seem to work -- tip was not in the computer. Would have been useful to know this beforehand.

Review 41:Location is exceptional with views back to the mountains and overlooking the Mediterranean. Staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way at times. Restaurant was of a high standard.

Review 42:The restaurant for evening meals is 'fine dining' we wished there had been a more relaxed traditional rustic restaurant, if so, we would've eaten there every night - but this is just personal taste!

Review 43:The hotel is perfectly situated, cradled in mountains, olive groves and an uninterrupted view to the sea. It is calm, quiet and perfect for relaxing, reading, walking and sunbathing. The rooms are not overdone, simple and comfortable, which is wonderful.

Review 44:Rooms are small, decoration is old fashioned and depressing. No isolation of the walls so you clearly hear the neighbours, which makes sleeping difficult when you have bad luck...price to high for the rooms they offer.

Review 45:Beautiful view from the room! Breakfast is good.

Review 46:Restaurant too limited in formal menu in evening. Rooms decor a little too basic. Unheated pool. A little out of Daia - car need to visit restaurants about 5 minute drive. Overlooks the sea but very difficult walk down to the cliffs - swimming

Review 47:Stunning sea views and best location in Deia for scenery. Great Staff. Brilliant pool area. Very pleasant rustic style hotel with some modernist design. Relaxing, calm and peaceful hotel.

Review 48:During a September thunder storm the rain came through the door and also through the roof. One twin bed was soaked and there was a puddle on the floor. No apologies from the manager. During the second storm, two days later, the electricity went off and the hotel was without light or water for most of the day. Again no apologies from management.

Review 49:location, food and staff

Review 50:It was impeccably clean, a beautiful location and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good and the food delicious. It was very very quiet so a great getaway from it all.

Review 51:Guest were putting their towels on the sun beds. Nobody at the pool, but no available sun bed. Even we are Germans, we hate that ;-)

Review 52:Awesome location, nice view. Excellent restaurant, reasonable prices!

Review 53:Proximity of rooms to bar/restaurant area Far too many smokers and no way to segregate them away from those of us who value our health and lungs

Review 54:Location, views, setting, staff, food

Review 55:About the hotel - nothing. During our stay, an adjacent property (outside the hotel's control) was occupied by a noisy family with children.

Review 56:Peace and tranquillity. Great for chilling out. All staff were friendly and helpful. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent.

Review 57:I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with my friend and we had a lovely time. It is very calm and peaceful with incredible views. Apparently this hotel has the best sunset in all of Mallorca! The rooms are spacious and clean - all you need really. The restaurant is also very good - lovely food and again, great views. Would recommend to others. My only comment is that it is hard to get around if you don't have a car (which we didn't). The beach isn't really walking distance, neither is the town (as the roads are dangerous to walk on). Taxi's are impossible to find for some reason. So I would suggest getting a car!

Review 58:The actual public beach is still natural Mallorca coastline - untouched an undeveloped but this comes complete with tricky entrance to the sea on slippery rocks and very rocky foreshore / beach - ok but could be vastly improved with a little work. There was also a litter problem starting around the beach head. Cala Deia was a much better bet and easier to navigate!

Review 59:The brilliant views from the pool and great breakfast and of course the warm welcome and helpful staff

Review 60:We didn't like the interior design of the room. It felt like a standard hotel in a small city. Poor choices of furniture. Too much wood, and the door the room...the feel was not modern. And the hallway with the dark carpet was terrible. Please tell the management to brighten up the rooms with more modern interior design. But then again everything outdoor is so beautiful, if it is warm and sunny!

Review 61:The calmness! Good rule -adults only. Calmness by the pool area. Bathrobs are great!

Review 62:Not really a dislike but would have liked a balcony and our room didn't have one

Review 63:Excellently location. Beautiful views especially whilst having dinner. Food very good

Review 64:The difficult path to the small beach - only the very fit can scramble down to the seafront and that is a pity. Proper steps would help access. The car park is small and difficult to use. On our last day, we discovered another guest had scratched our hire car although it was parked carefully and drove away without admitting it. When I told the member of staff on duty at reception, he just shrugged - no expression of sympathy or apology.... the only example of poor customer service during our stay. As there is nowhere else for dinner within walking distance, you are dependent on the hotel restaurant. More changing daily specials would give more choice if you are here for more than a short stay. Or a shuttle service to Deia would be perfect - even just one return trip each evening for a few euros would make a big difference..

Review 65:The peacefulness, the view from our balcony and the sunsets from the restaurant terrace. Lovely waiter service. Our 4th visit and it didn't disappoint.

Review 66:Bit over priced but all in all a very nice hotel Will stay at the same place if we visit again!

Review 67:Very private and relaxing, very helpful and lovely staff.

Review 68:Getting around is rather difficult as there is only 2 taxi's in Deia. It is impossible to walk down to other restaurants as the roads and very narrow and have no room for pedestrians.

Review 69:The view were amazing!! I've been to a lot of places but this place everywhere I looked around me was picture perfect. The rooms were very clean and immaculate, I was very happy with all the staff.

Review 70:leaving.

Review 71:all of it

Review 72:Decoration a bit outfashioned, particularly in the bedrooms, which are poorly isolated.

Review 73:The location, stunning view, overall charm

Review 74:Getting taxi's to Soller is difficult

Review 75:The breakfast was excellent but the evening meals were quite expensive

Review 76:The location, the generally peaceful atmosphere and helpful staff

Review 77:Rooms basic and small

Review 78:Location

Review 79:rooms could be larger,

Review 80:location and staff

Review 81:Breakfast was great, Dinner good - but the lunchean Spagetti Bolognese just fair!

Review 82:Quiet, beautiful atmosphare - really relaxing

Review 83:Wonderful location

Review 84:triple room a bit small, not enough sun beds, difficult to walk anywhere

Review 85:View, breakfast

Review 92:Watch out for the wasp frenzy at breakfast

Review 93:The view is just amazing.

Review 94:the room - terrace was amazing!

Review 95:The staff were excellent, even gave you their own cigarettes!

Review 96:Staff unatentive. No bar area for the evening. Lack of ambience.

Review 101:BEAUTIFUL location. So quiet and peaceful. Tomeu gave me some terrific recommendations in the surrounding area, and staff in general was stellar.

Review 102:Wonderful location.

Review 103:The location of the restaurant terrace is phenomenal. There is little to do there, which was great as far as we were concerned, a bit of escapism.

Review 104:Not usual that you need to leave a deposit for towels at this kind of hotel.

Review 105:Beautiful views!!!

Review 106:Rooms were modern for a rustic looking building but overall very good hotel . Would go back .

Review 107:Location and food .
