Reviews for Hôtel Le Hussard
Review 1:To the Staff and especailly the owner, you were truly lovely. Thank you. The room was very comfortable and your resturant food was excellent. Will reccommend.
Review 2:The mattress on my bed was a bit uncomfortable but everyone else is fine.
Review 3:It was easy to find from the motorway for an overnight stop on way down to our holiday gite. We had two triple rooms for our family of three teenagers, us (the parents) and a 7yr old. The staff were friendly and rooms clean and bright. I thought it might be a little noisy as its on a junction but it was fine. We had a lovely meal in their restaurant. Food was very good and set menu good value. Breakfast was extra but was worth it - lots to eat and nice fresh bread and croissants. A good find for our journey.
Review 4:The owner was very friendly, his English very good. The rooms weren't large but they were clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was very, very good and resonably priced. It was the perfect stop over on our way down to Bergerac.
Review 5:Some confusion over the type of room we'd booked, hotel was reluctant to sort it out but after a phone call to booking.com it magically resolved in our favour. Rooms are compact but if you're just staying a night that's all you need.
Review 6:Convenient location off the motorway and pleasant, short walk into centre of town. Quite acceptable as a stopover on our way back to Le Havre (only 2 hrs from port)
Review 7:Hotel is lovely and very clean, The owner Gigi went out of his way to make our stay as pleasent as possible. Food great, huge portions! Will definitely be going back!
Review 8:Abandoned appearance Hotel locked when I arrived Smelly bathroom - no proper plumbing - digester system Can't leave window open - road noise Wafer-thin walls
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:Double room was very small and smelled as though it had been cleaned with a dirty rag. As a result we felt this was poor value for money.
Review 11:Owner was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating.
Review 12:Again as seems with the budget end breakfast wasn't great, very basic and if you don't like just bread and sweet stuff it's not good, I also only drink soya milk, option of toast, eggs, cheese would have been better.
Review 13:Hotel was good basic and clean, great to hVe free wifi, unlike the big hotels or like to rip their customers off by charging a fortune!! Our evening meal was fabulous and there was so much of it, both our meals could have been for 2 people each!
Review 14:Friendly welcome, excellent food. Very nice breakfast, with cordial service. Good value.
Review 15:Attentive & friendly staff. Good meals. Overall, excellent value for money
Review 16:AII staff extremely friendly and very helpful. GI GI the owner could not do enough for us
Review 17:Room clean, Friendly staff, value for money, would use again. Food freshly cooked to order, good menu choice, value for money. .
Review 18:Small room
Review 19:Good location and value for money
Review 20:Location,price,staff
Review 21:Location on a main roundabout meant that you either get hot with windows shut to cut out traffic noise, or stay cool with noise! Stairs quite steep - no lift.
Review 22:Staff and facilities were fine, handy for walking into Alencon centre. Was able to park on street near to hotel.
Review 23:Nothing really, I always expect an hotel to be good value and Le Hussard was good value.
Review 24:The owner was very helpful, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and when choosing a wine to match the food (which was north African) we choose two and he offered to open both bottles and we could have the one we liked best! You can't beat that type of service.
Review 25:Nothing To dislike,
Review 26:Good Value, GiGi the owner very pleasant, Had dinner in the Resturant, very good and reasonably priced , would not hesitate to stay again, Parking was not a issue, all the staff very friendly,
Review 27:Restaurant closed for latter part of August (and hotel thereforedifficult to spot in the dark with all the lights off!), as were most ofthe shops/restaurants around when we arrived late evening, so beararrival time and access to food in mind.
Review 28:Simple but clean and comfortable, staff very friendly and a goodbreakfast as well. We would stay again.
Review 29:Booking advertised with different price (lower) than the hotel, whichresulted in a discussion with the owner. The owner took the loss andsolved it, compliments for that. In terms of price/quality I wouldrecommend.
Review 30:Just a simple hotel, good beds and linnen. Friendly staff. Bar opentill late and drinks are very affordable. Unfortunately we did nothave breakfast or lunch, so I can't tell about that. Menu lookedgood anyway.
Review 31:Nothing really to dislike. No secure parking but not a problem as able to lock up bikes and was assured correctly that there was no risk!!
Review 32:Arrived after a very long motorbike ride. The welcome was friendly rooms were great. has its own restaurant and bar so no need to go out for anything! Food excellent owner very helpful and good company! Had a glass or two with him after the meal. We could not have chosen a better hotel. Although on busy roundabout no road noise as double glazed. Do not be put off by slightly flaky exterior paint work this place is a diamond!! We plan to return in August on way to Southern France.
Review 33:It's looks, outside, are a bit against it BUT the rooms are very clean and that is far and away the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept it. Would happily stay there again.
Review 34:Noisy location and fighting in the bar below on this one Friday night. Also, plastic mattress covers made for less than perfect night.
Review 35:Good value, and delightful and friendly new owner/host. First-class breakfast.
Review 36:I stayed overnight to break a longer journey across France. The hotel room was relatively spacious, the bed comfortable, the ensuite shower and wc were not cramped at all, and the room was quiet. I left before breakfast on my way. It was a good overnight stop at a reasonable rate
Review 37:It was easy to find, the hotel had a triple room, which was tricky tofind, although it was in the centre of town, it was quiet. It had a goodfrench breakfast, and a decent menu for dinner, at a good price. Theowner was very friendly and helpful.
Review 38:The staff were very nice food not bad, rooms clean. I problem you as an agent did not have correct price on internet for the stay, owner says he has informed you that it was more exspensive than advertised.
Review 39:Nothing. It was up to my limited expectations.
Review 40:I wanted a hotel in Alencon which would allow me to leave the car and walk into town and find a restaurant. This hotel supplied that requirement. It was basic but adequate.
Review 41:Friendliness of the staff, making us feel welcome
Review 42:One of the best couscous I ever ate in France. The staff was very friendly. Very attractive price for a room.
Review 43:Clean, good location, very friendly staff
Review 44:Traffic noise in front facing rooms. Only a problem on hot summer nights
Review 45:Location, price and food, and major redecoration since we were last there
Review 46:Push button toilet ! I had to ask how to flush it!
Review 47:Very clean, where can seak very good English, staff very pleasant and efficient
Review 48:N/A
Review 49:Excellent value, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, food was excellent
Review 50:The manager was a really nice guy who went out of his way to be helpful. It's fairly central so easy to walk around the town from there.
