Reviews for Mister Bed Berck
Review 1:It wasn't really a bad experience but we found the receptionist wasn't very helpful when we checked in. We had stayed at this hotel three days earlier and the receptionist was excellent, she was friendly and gave us a warm welcome, the second receptionist did not.
Review 2:We have stayed at this hotel before and find it really good. Nice to see that you have put bigger towels in the bathroom. Lovely nights sleep and great breakfast.
Review 3:No we were very pleased with our whole experience and will definitely come back again.
Review 4:We were very impressed by the receptionist who was very warm and welcoming. She gave us a room at the rear of the hotel as we had requested. The room had been newly refurbished and was in pristine condition.
Review 5:Unable to get Wi-Fi connection the first evening.
Review 6:Clean, basic and inexpensive accommodation for a solo traveller who was out all day. Reasonable restaurant next door.
Review 7:You'd need to be very picky to find fault with this hotel.
Review 8:Easy to get to. Clean and comfortable. Ok breakfast. Very keenly priced. Right next door to good restaurant.
Review 9:The bathroom was very small but useable but the shower cubical was the smallest that we have ever seen and hardly useable. If the shower and bathroom was slightly bigger everything would have been perfect. Do you provide a upgrade room with a larger bathroom?
Review 10:Very clean room and bedding
Review 11:Several kilometres from town centre and coast. Difficult to find at night - unable to locate with (old) GPS.
Review 12:Small but reasonably comfortable room. Clean and well maintained. Easy parking.
Review 13:Could do with better pillows.
Review 14:Simple hotel - makes a good cheap overnight stop - and can visit Berck seafront for a stroll and eats (although was ridiculously busy the night we were there)
Review 15:My car was punctured so I had to fix the spare in. After finishing, I asked the staff if I could wash my hands but I was refused as the check out time was just over
Review 16:The hotel open 24/24 so it is convenient for some one who check out late, like myself
Review 17:Nothing bad was just a bit further out than we expected, 50 minute walk to Berck beach or taxi busses were unreliable. The bathroom was rather snug to say the least Very limited space to hang clothing, only 4 hangers on an open rail.
Review 18:Staff were very helpful as they did nto speak English and we didnt speak french. We stayed for 4 nights Plenty of hot water in the shower Bed was comfortable Breakfast was basic but plentiful, and well organised considering such a small space.
Review 19:the staff very polite and helpful .the dining area was well equipped for breakfast, There was also an outside area with picnic tables which were useful as the weather was very hot,
Review 20:A good price for an overnight stay to or from Calais. The facilities were clean and of a good standard for the price paid. Very good value. Staff always friendly and polite.
Review 21:Only an hour from the Calais port and tunnel; a great place to stop after your crossing on the way south or on the way home. Excellent price, comfortable bed, clean. Not the Ritz but the Ritz wouldn't let you through the door for only £25. Bathroom is small but I'm 6'1" and 18 stone and I fit - just. Breakfast is ample and reasonable value unless you want to go next door to the supermarket (opens at 9am). This was our 3rd stay here
Review 22:No real issues. Pre booking system worked well.
Review 23:Reasonable late night travelling time from Ferry port. No issues with late time of arrival. (4am)
Review 24:The open reception space is also the area for the breakfast tables. Can result in early morning disturbance for those in the nearby rooms.
Review 25:Reasonably sized room, ample free parking.
Review 26:First room smelled of smoke so had to complain -quickly resolved.
Review 27:I like that you can eat your own food in the foyer.they even provide a microwave. The breakfast is no better or worse than some hotels at double the price.
Review 28:2 rooms are on the outside of the corridors and overlook the mezzanine, they suffer from terrible noise, and the main door banging. If you get one of these rooms ask to change
Review 29:Great location, restaurant next door and a small shopping centre which also has a supermarket. Clean basic room, ideal as a base.
Review 30:We only stayed here overnight on the way to Calais, we arrived late and left early, wifi was a bit slow but overall pleasant enough, bit The hotel called us a few times and asked to be there by 10 which we had already explained wasn't possible as traffic was bad but still had a pleasent and helpful welcome so all in all I would definitely stay here again'
Review 31:We've stayed at Mister Bed in Berck on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The rooms are basic but comfortable and it is well placed not far from the motorway. There is a Poivre Rouge restaurant next door for good, reasonably priced meals. All in all a good one night stopover point on the way to or from the UK.
Review 32:Nothing. It totally met our expectations and is a good alternative to F1 and premierclasse
Review 33:The price and location The breakfast The restaurant next door Reception and breakfast area Free wifi
Review 34:For us, Berck sur Mer is not a destination but rather a halfway point. We went there the night before a morning ferry from Calais and it served that purpose well, which is what most other guests did. For that purpose, Mister Bed Berck does exactly what it says on the tin. If you want a nice hotel in a scenic location, then keep looking. If you need an economical but clean stopover point just before or after the channel ferry, than this is it. Recommended.
Review 35:The rooms were small, basic and not very clean. there was little in the way of soundproofing so activites going on in other rooms could be clearly heard. My son was ill and the woman on the reception threatened to call the Police because we were moving around between rooms during the early hours. Even when I explained why she offered no form of help and shut herself back in the office.
Review 36:We booked the hotel for an overnight stay on our way to the Vienne. It is conveniently located on the outskirts of Berck a short distance from the A16 motorway. There was a restaurant and other facilities located beside the hotel and off road parking in front. Reception was bright and airy.
Review 37:Quite noisy, dogs are allowed in the hotel and unfortunately the one in the toon opposite us was a 'barker'. We were next to the restaurant which added to the noise
Review 38:Facilities were ok, compact but adequate
Review 39:Bit too far away from beach, didn't want to get in car again after travelling for 7 hrs but would loved to have looked around the area. Not very good for giving dogs a good walk before travelling again.
Review 40:Value for money for one night stopover while travelling.Dog friendly. Cleanliness. Only just over an hour to Channel Tunnel. All in all I would definitely use again while travelling.
Review 41:No English TV channels, not much space for luggage or clothes, the mattress was not very firm. The extra bunk bed made the room seem claustrophobic and I hit my head on it.
Review 42:The price was reasonable, staff were professional in attitude, the room was functional.
Review 43:Cleaning was not 10/10, perhaps a bit rushed. There was quite a bit of noise in the ground floor corridor outside our room and the overnight temperature got too warm as the window couldn't be opened much.
Review 44:This hotel is well located, next to a decent little restaurant and a large supermarket. Staff seemed efficient and pleasant. The bed was reasonably comfortable, the room was very small but functional. Breakfast seemed quite popular, although we didn't try it. All was ok for a budget short stay.

Review 96:The bedroom and bathroom were very small but this was expected at the price.

Review 120:loc\tion and staff
Review 121:looked old and smudgy, particularly the bathroom was unpleasant.
Review 122:free wifi
Review 123:Although the price to stay here is excellent, it was very noisy for a during the week stay as it appears to be used by a lot of workmen
Review 124:Easy to find and on the outskirts of Berck.
Review 125:The main criticism which I commented on before is a VERY DANGEROUS and strange type of ladder to the overhead 3rd. bed where the treads spiral round and even children with us had to jump down onto the double bed to avoid twisting their legs. Internals beginning to look a little tired now and could do with freshening up. Breakfast generally quite good -could do with some cereals though and maybe some cold meats on offer as some "help yourself" breakfasts offer in France for foreign visitors. Shower/toilet cubical is very good- a bar of soap and shower gel bubble would be a nice touch
Review 126:Have been here before 2yrs ago when we found it good value for money. This trip, about the same-Mr. Bed is a "no frills" travel lodge offering the essentials for an overnight stay or two Very good location for an excellent restaurant Poivre Rouge and Intermarche supermarket just across the carpark.
