Reviews for Hotel Naturaleza Mar da Ardora Wellness & Spa

Review 1:Nothing not to like

Review 2:The attitude of the staff, from Angel the owner to the two young ladies, Maria and Renata, who managed the facilty. Angel picked us up from the bus terminal as a welcoming gesture. Renata drove us back when the taxi failed to arrive. Brilliant!

Review 3:A great base to explore the Fisterra / Muxia area and with direct access to a beach and cliff walks. It has a contemporary feel, ocean views from rooms, the terrace and the breakfast area and it has spa facilities. The friendly staff were very helpful with local directions, restaurant suggestions and my weak Spanish.

Review 4:I can't say enough about the owner and staff who did everything to make me feel welcome and make my stay so wonderful. The property is outstanding and though it has a 2 star rating, another guest and I couldn't understand why as we both thought it deserved 4. The amenities, decor appointments, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality were first class and I would return to and recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Review 5:(Not really things we didn't like, but that could be improved) - Noise from the kitchen reaches the ground floor bedrooms early in the morning. - Matress is too soft. - Spa hours only start at 12pm. - Hotel can only be reached by car, parking places could be better. But we loved our stay.

Review 6:- Amazing sunset view. - Reception with appetizers during late afternoon. - Warm and friendly reception by the staff, including the owner. - Nice breakfast. - Cozy and intimate feel of the hotel. - Very helpful instructions on how to enjoy your stay in Finisterre. - Quiet environment, very nice to relax on the balcony.

Review 7:Outstanding boutique hotel overlooking Atlantic beach. Every room has view of ocean with balcony or patio. Excellent, friendly staff, spotlessly clean rooms, very welcoming atmosphere. Evening wine and tapas made with locally grown ingredients as well as very good breakfast. Wonderful location to walk to beach or in to town.

Review 8:The owner and staff are delightful. Although the hotel doesn't offer a full restaurant they provide free drinks and a lovely evening snack that is made from home grown produce. The food is beautiful and substantial enough not to have to go out for dinner afterwards. Breakfast is generous and we were awoken by freshly baked croissants first thing. The views and closeness to a wonderful beach were compensation for not being in town. The hotel is a short walk away from the port.

Review 9:Andrea,Angel,Maria,Renate and Soraya were the most welcoming and helpful Hotel team we have ever experienced. The Hotel is perfectly situated to make the most of the light ! And sea view from each room

Review 10:Charging 10 euros per hour per person to use a spa in a "spa hotel" at this price is crazy ! It would also be helpful if staff advised you that code needed to get in after 1030 We had to climb up onto a balcony and ask people in bedroom next door to let us in as no one answers phone ! Trapeze artist at 57

Review 11:New Relaxed feel Different view of the coast Free juice and beer

Review 12:This boutique hotel is located in a convenient position with a magnificent view of the ocean from each room. 5-10 mins walk to the beach and 15 mins walk into the village. Hotel is spotlessly clean with expresso coffee machine, home baked cake, a water or a beer available for free anytime! 8pm daily is Tapas outside on the terrace with a delicious selection of home grown produce by the owner all cooked and served for free! The staff are always ready to help. An amazing experience!

Review 13:The spa was an extra cost which we hadn't realised so we didn't use it.

Review 14:After 2 weeks on the Camino this was a beautiful oasis. Lovely staff, clean soft beds, view over the ocean, great tapas in the evening and breakfast, help yourself drinks from fridge and coffee tea machine downstairs.

Review 15:nothing what so ever

Review 16:We had a perfect time here: very warm welcome, nice room, breathtaking view. The "aperitive" at 8PM with the other guests was superb.

Review 17:Nothing!

Review 18:Small, boutique-like all rooms with view to the West and the Atlantic Ocean. Rain or shine, a restful place to stay. Breakfast a delight & evening 'tastings' of fresh foods while watching the sunset a real treasure

Review 19:The room key was difficult to turn getting into the room.It did not turn at all in the morning and we were trapped in the room for half an hour and had to shout for help. Another english guest came to our aid and fetched a man with some tools who broke open the lock.Staff attitude generally poor and coffee machine mainly dispensed cleaning fluid

Review 20:The location and views were excellent. The breakfast was also fairly good ,buffet style. Peaceful and quiet and comfortable.

Review 21:Wifi did not reach to our room. Needed to go downstairs to the lounge. Use of pool is at an extra cost 10 Euros an hour.

Review 22:After a drive of 357km from the Bares Penisula, enjoyable but lengthy, we arrived in Fisterra in the early evening sunshine and were delghted to find Hotel Mar da Ardora. We were given free access to the drinks cupboard and immediately retired to the balcony to relax in the sunshine looking across the bay! The small hotel is everything that it says: boutique, light, bright and very clean with a panoramic view of the ocean and boats fishing out at sea.The bathroom is tight but offers a very moder shower. Both Renata and Maria were very helpful. Specially recommended.

Review 23:Some small fittings would need repair, but those are minor détails.

Review 24:A beautiful newly built boutique hotel facing the ocean and offering amazing sunset views from the rooms. Staff is very attentive and makes you feel right away at home. A shared bar provides drinks for free. Breakfast was good for a 2 star hotel and served promptly.

Review 25:The location is stunning and peaceful, the beds are amazingly comfortable, and being able to lie in bed and watch the waves crash on the beach is great! The staff are great, breakfast is very good, the evening wine and snacks cannot be beat. Tea and coffee are easily available and the spa is lovely. 5 minute walk to town so easy to access restaurants but it escapes the Camino craziness! This is the place to stay!

Review 26:It was perfect. I can't wait to return!

Review 27:I loved every second of my stay. I stayed for 4 days and could easily have stayed longer. The owner, Rosthio and Renata were fabulous! The view and sounds of the ocean sublime. The food was delicious.

Review 28:That we had to leave after only one night!

Review 29:The location and the view... Waking up in the morning and watching the surf roll in.. Walking on the beach near by. The evening snacks and wine tasting. The breaskfast! Everything!

Review 30:TV in my room was not in normal.

Review 31:Good view with a heartfelt service. Clean and quite place. Simple but impressed breakfast. I like their complimentary beverage buffet.

Review 32:The most welcoming experience in a month of travel. I felt so taken care of and the generosity and attention to detail of the owner and her support team is beyond words. Truly the highlight of my time spent in Galicia

Review 33:Something was funky with wi-fi, but I don't know if their network was having issues or if Facebook was. They were very quick to troubleshoot any question or problem I might have.

Review 34:There are six rooms--the night I stayed, I was the only guest, and the staff still pulled out all the stops for me! Beverage bar (water, beer, sodas), full breakfast buffet, and light supper with locally grown ingredients (tomatoes from their own greenhouse!) included in the price. Bicycles available if you want to ride around the area. Beach within walking distance. Sunset views from every room.

Review 35:The staff at the Hotel Naturaleza Mar da Ardora Wellness and Spa were fantastic nothing was a bother. From the moment we arrived they were on hand to help with all our needs. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone and thank them for making our stay so wonderful.

Review 36:The staff were particularly nice. Room ready when we arrived at 11 am just to leave our bags. Complimentary bikes. Complimentary beverages very welcome. Complimentary glass of wine and home grown delights from their organic farm at sunset. Breakfast lovely. Lovely balcony overlooking beach. Quiet and peaceful..the only sound that could be heard at night were the waves crashing. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Review 37:The staff were very friendly and very helpful. I loved the attention to little details. The owners even offered its clientèle a taste of some of their products from their organic farm with a little glass of wine? Loved it! I must say for me the ocean view from my balcony was the most amazing thing! I would go back in a second!

Review 38:Sinage for location bad

Review 39:rescieved such a genuine warm welcome.Nothing too much trouble. Great value with little extras such as drinks and cake on demand and a charming soiree every evening.Delightful setting and decor. Staff so thoughtful! Thanks for the birthday flowers and champagne. Maire &Dee Cork

Review 40:This hotel is so lovely and relaxing and well-located, and the staff was great! We loved Rocio--so helpful and generous. The food is amazing, definitely the best we had at any hotel in Spain or Portugal on this trip. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. There are also lovely hiking trails in walking distance from the hotel, in addition to the beach. Loved it!

Review 41:Very helpful and friendly staff. Spectacular view. The delicious meals prepared with the freshest ingredients and served in a beautiful setting.

Review 53:Everything

Review 54:The view

Review 55:We very treated to a small meal consisting of the owners homegrown tomators and spinach. What a treat!

Review 56:THE snack we recieved in THE evening

Review 57:Our view of the water was incredible. Beautiful sunsets every night.

Review 58:WiFi in the room was sketchy.

Review 59:Beautiful views of beach; west facing balcony to watch sunset...or easy walk to the beach for the same...did both.

Review 60:Staff, facilities

Review 61:We had a room with a wonderful view. We were able to sit and watch the magnificent sunset. The place was clean and spotless.

Review 62:loved this quiet location. What a treat after walking the Camino!

Review 63:The nightly degustation was a feature and the friendly welcoming staff who went out of their way to ensure that all our needs were met.

Review 64:very friendly staff

Review 65:The owner and staff were exceptional! They could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast and aperitif were produce from their own garden, home baking, and the aperitif of tomatoes, cheese, bread etc was almost enough for a meal.

Review 66:Shower was clean but not all the functions (multispray) were functioning.

Review 67:Enjoyed the quaint atmosphere, the location with a terrific view. They had snacks and drinks available all day, and it was great to show up and have a couple of beers and a bit of cake before the late dinner after a long day of travel. The young woman who was there the whole time we were (one night) was very cute - worked hard at English, always smiling, happily served us breakfast. Really a wonderful night (before our Camino began)

Review 68:The view is spectacular. You can help yourself to drinks at anytime. The facilities are amazing. The staff was the most friendly and gracious. We loved Rocio - she will treat you like family.

Review 69:Initial signs to get there can't be read easily. But once there, nothing I didn't like.

Review 70:The whole experience was excellent with the staff being really helpful and the west facing room overlooking the sandy bay and rocky headlands. Ideal for sundowners on the terrace.

Review 71:The shower door was broken and several of the outlets did not work in our room. Wifi was available in the downstairs lobby but not in the upstairs rooms.

Review 72:We had a gorgeous view of the ocean which afforded us the opportunity to enjoy beautiful sunsets and a full moon over the water. They served delicious light dinners and beverages at night and a lovely breakfast spread. The food was fresh and much of it was grown on the premises. 20 speed bicycles were available for us to explore the town.

Review 73:Honestly - absolutely nothing at all.

Review 74:We had just finished the Camino de Santiago and wanted some luxury whichwe got here in bucketloads! Staff treated you like family, freeaperitifs at night - organic from the garden Delicious! We took thebikes up to the lighthouse and had a great ride. We spent the afternoontreating ourselves, first the shower is something to behold! Then we putmasks on and had drinks (which were free and you could take whenever youliked from a little bar along with homemade cake!) outside the room inthe sun on seats. We wished we had of stayed longer, but had a nice timetalking with other guests and the owner (Adriana I think?). She also ranafter us to give us a hug when we left! I felt as though I was leaving agood friend! I couldn't recommend this place highly enough - by farand away the best place we stayed in Spain (we stayed in 19 differentplaces around Spain).

Review 75:Nothing. Not being there anymore.

Review 76:Everything!! The friendly staff. The evening organic sunset starter. The dolphins jumping in the surf we saw from our balcony. The help yourself fridge. The bikes. The restaurant recommendations. Best place we stayed in after 14 months of travelling the world.

Review 77:The location is a bit out of the way and a little difficult to find.

Review 78:The staff were wonderful and the evening tapas from the garden were fantastic. The view was great.

Review 82:Leaving!

Review 83:What's not to like? Fabulous location overlooking sandy beach with wonderful sunsets. Hosts that offer excellent service, for instance, I mentioned an allergy when booking and received an email back from the owners immediately assuring me they would accommodate my dietary needs. A kitchen where we were welcomed to help ourself to drinks and home made cake. Nothing was too much trouble.

Review 84:Having to leave :-(

Review 85:The setting, rooms, staff and amenities were far above expectations. We were pampered with extras included in the rate. Most gracious and generous "hotel" (only 6 rooms) experience I can ever remember.

Review 86:v new and swanky, the building felt a bit impersonal but that's just a matter of taste i'm sure

Review 87:spa shower was fab, lovely balcony looking out at sunset, v comfy bed, staff very friendly and helpful

Review 88:A bit difficult to find on foot. Not a long walk, but the route from the Fisterra bus stop could be more clear.

Review 89:Friendly and helpful staff. Ten minute walk from a terrific beach. Delightful food and scenery. Excellent room.

Review 90:If Wi-fi in your room is extremely important than like many hotels we have encountered in Spain, it was not dependable. But in their comfortable common area it was. However they did advertise wi-fi in rooms.

Review 91:Very comfortable boutique hotel with great view of the Atlantic from upper rooms. Nice breakfast included and very helpful staff.

Review 92:This hotel was the highlight of our trip. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - suggesting walks and an excellent local restaurant for lunch. Our room had spectacular views and a balcony. Breakfast, afternoon tea and tapas were all included in the price - great value for money.

Review 93:Absolutely nothing. We didn't expect the evening meal so I would suggest making more of this as it is a pleasant surprise!

Review 94:This hotel was absolutely spotless, fantastic design, only 5 bedrooms so very small and very designer finish. Food was all from their garden and was fantastic. It is a ten minute stroll out from the main town in Finistere.

Review 95:Everything was perfect!

Review 96:Beautifully designed spaces, gracious and helpful host and staff, delicious home-made cakes and fresh produce from the Hotel´s garden, fabulous views of the ocean, hillsides and beach - an oasis tucked away not far from town where you are pampered and made to feel that this special place is your home. It was a real find!

Review 97:Fantastic hospitality. Owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Felt like a home from home - but then a super clean and luxurious home with amazing views from the room! Could help ourselves to drinks and snacks, and were treated to a great breakfast and home cooking in the evening.
