Reviews for Inter-hotel Neptune
Review 1:We booked a studio apartment but when we arrived we were told that access to the kitchen facilities were subject to a supplement. The internet should make this clearer. Very dismissive staff. When we checked out we had to wait for the kitchen area to be checked by another member of staff otherwise they would charge us another 30 euros. Everything had to be in EXACTLY the same place within the kitchen otherwise you have to wait to have it changed. Be warned as in busy periods this could delay departure significantly and could mean you may miss your channel crossing.
Review 2:Location and facilities
Review 3:As this was the last weekend in November the weather was not good. Wet and windy with terential rain. The rain came through our patio door even with the shutters down, causing a stream of water along the length of the window and door and it also ran under the settee where a tall lamp was standing. Reception gave us towels to put down and soak up the mess. The wind caused a noise on the roof and it sounded as if someone was in the ceiling drilling. we made the most of our wet weekend and would go back in the summer.
Review 4:We had a superior room 505, with a small balcony and a view over the sea, this would be ideal in the summer. The bedroom/bathroom were very spacious and there was also a kettle provided. The restaurant food was excellent with a varied menu at reasonable prices. Breakfast is not included in the price, but again very reasonable, it was continental which you helped yourself to and as much as you wanted. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Review 5:the noise and the smell of cigarettes for the kitchen staff smokes in the courtyard and I slept in a room on this side. The noise that cleaning ladies are making in the morning.
Review 6:To be close to the sea
Review 7:Kitchenet Did not expect to pay.should be included in studio accommodation Also unable to make toast. No grill or proper even-only had microwave
Review 8:Nothing
Review 9:Parking is a problem if you come by car. I later found out that you could book the car park attached to the hotel but it was full when we arrived.
Review 10:The location is ideal for some time on the beach as well as a short walk into the town. Next door is an indoor leisure centre if the weather isn't good
Review 11:Hotel restaurant full on both nights I stayed due to block booking of 50 plus people. At check in they should have informed me the restaurant was full or they should keep some tables for guests.
Review 12:Lovely room with beautiful views.
Review 13:Parking!, busy weekend, no parking, had to drive round and round town trying to find a space. Room was basic and not nicely decorated, not at all like the pictures when we booked online. Balcony yes, but we faced a side street so no view, and only I bed made up so had to do rest myself!, not great after hours of travelling, and there was 5 of us!
Review 14:Right on beach, happy to allow dogs, clean with a balcony. Helpful staff.
Review 15:Restaurant food was good but staff weren't very organised. We put 2 dinners on our bill but we weren't given a bill for what we had eaten or anything to sign for it to be added to the bill. When we asked we were shown the amount in the computer screen. Hotel a little tired in places, our room could have done with being painted, bath trim was falling off but this was sorted during our stay. We had a 'superior' room so thought if would be a bit more up together. We were happy with our stay and would go there again but improvements could be made with a little more effort.
Review 16:Can't fault the position of this hotel, it's directly across from a long sandy beach There is parking along the road or a free public car park behind the hotel. Easy stroll into the town, where we ambled for coffee & croissants, so we didn't try the breakfast. Nice to have a balcony as even when it was wet we could sit out there and enjoy the view. If travelling with children there is a good swimming pool and bowling alley next door. Lots of other restaurants close-by if you don't want to eat in the hotel.
Review 17:Stayed in the apartment/ studio and had to pay an additional ( albeit small ) daily hire of the kitchenette facilities One of the double beds was in need of replacement as every time you moved it creaked .
Review 18:Great location for beach and a few minutes walk from shops .. ice cream places and cafes all very close . Staff were helpful
Review 19:Booked 2 rooms one room was very shabby indeed.nothing like the other room more like a run down hostel both were pretty small but done the job breakfast was dull at the very least staff never spoke English pillows smelled of b/o
Review 20:Good location peaceful
Review 21:The lifts are not good, please speed them up and make work better , using stairs to 5th floor is not good.
Review 22:Excellent view from room , wanted to make future booking , reception said no !! Good value
Review 23:Single bed had a mattress protector sheet but even that was put onupside down so the plastic side up. No cases on pillows, bathroomsmelt, blankets on bed were from th 1970s. Bed was hard, we were put inseparate building buy the bins was very tacky and not like photos onthere site at all! Our balcony was right opposite a smoking chimney andif you had a giraffes neck you could just about see the see. Wouldnever stay there again and in fact if we weren't delayed gettingthere and arriving after 11pm we would have looked for somewhere elseto stay. The area it self had some loud dance music festival locallyand every chav in france was present. The next day we went for a walkbefore leaving Berck Sur Mer and spent the whole hour dodging dogs messwhich somes the place up.
Review 24:It was open at 11 pm when we got there
Review 25:Our second stay in room 404 was a room that needed major refurbishment, the smell of food from nearby restaurants was not welcome but the smell of mold in the bathroom was dreadful.
Review 26:Our first one day stay we were given a newly refurbished room 414 and the stay was excellent.
Review 27:You might need eye protection - throughout our stay a strong wind off of the sea blew sand just about everywhere. The reaction of the staff suggested that this was not unusual. There is no aircon in this hotel and in hot weather you may well suffer. Breakfast is only average.
Review 28:Sea view room was exquisite if a little expensive. The hotel is right on the sandy beach and there is an indoor swimming pool next door. The hotel restaurant does good seafood plus you have a wide choice nearby.
Review 29:Berck looks rather like some of the English south-coast towns, slightly past it's best
Review 30:The superior suites on the top floor were lovely. Didn't look at other rooms.
Review 31:Nothing!!
Review 32:Very good location for a family. Right opposite the beach and plenty for the kids to do to keep them busy. Breakfast was fantastic value for adults and especially for the kids.
Review 33:When really hot could do with a ceiling fan or air-conditioning, as located on the road unable to open windows.
Review 34:Great location overlooking the beach close to all amenities.
Review 35:Studio view is of parking lot and airvents, never come across a locked kitchenette before, rooms not cleaned at all during 3 day stay. Just one key card
Review 36:location next to pool and beach is great. Friendly staff
Review 37:No car parking left, toilet dirty, ants on balcony, air con failed or was turned off centrally during the night
Review 38:Location was good, bedroom area lovely with very good mattress and safe a bonus
Review 39:We sometimes had to book to get into the restaurant, which we were not told of, so we learnt the hard way. but otherwise everything was good.
Review 40:We had a balcony overlooking the sea. The room was excellent and the food was very good and reasonable.
Review 41:The balcony overlooking the beach was absolutely perfect, the room was luxurious and the staff very helpful. The restaurant was on the ground floor with views of the beach and the food was absolutely delicious. The lady on the reception with the blonde hair couldn't have been more helpful, thank you for a wonderful 5 day break.
Review 42:Poor servicing of toilets and shower rooms. No working vent in bedroom WC. Soap dispenser empty. No soap or towel in wheelchair WC. Window wouldn't open more than two inches
Review 43:It was clean friendly and generally ok. Very much in a Skegness environment.
Review 44:The restaurant manager should be sacked for gross rudeness. And photos don't show hotel overlooks a busy road - noise could be a problem in height of summer
Review 45:The view from the balcony of the beach was fabulous and the room though very small clean and Ok. Reception staff friendly and helpful.
Review 46:Only the rooms at the front are as advertised and we were put round the back of hotel that overlooked dusty car park and room very old and dated. Restaurant had pleasant staff but asked for my steak well done and it came with a pulse.
Review 47:Near the beach
Review 48:Guests are required to empty their own rubbish bin!
Review 49:Hotel is situated on the seafront but also only a short stroll to the centre of the town which has many shops and restaurants. Adjacent to a swimming pool. Rooms fairly large and comfortable.
Review 50:Lift signage could be improved, we struggled to find it and staff did not volunteer their help.
Review 51:Good location on the sea front, good facilities, clean, lifts welcome as on crutches. Decent breakfast. Excellent stop over on our return to England.
Review 52:The carpet in the corridors was dirty and looked like the same carpet that has been there for the last 5 plus years. You only get one keycard, which also works the electricity, making it difficult to go out at the same time, unless you went together. There is a daily charge to use the kitchenette but it's only available if you stay more than 2 nights
Review 53:We stayed in one of the studios, which have been refurbished since our last stay a couple of years ago. There was plenty of space and a small balcony. We got clean towels every day, something we have never had before. The maids were very friendly but not intrusive.
Review 54:Kitchen area shut off with a blind although we wouldn't have used it anyway. Other travellers might be disappointed to be charged extra for this. Not a problem for us as we ate out
Review 55:Proximity to beach. Friendly staff. Facilities for bicycles. Clean apartment. Fridge. Good shower and bathroom. Breakfast buffet good
Review 56:The plywood partitions seem a bit unfinished. Paint or wallpaper needed. Lack of kettle. Sheets and blankets as opposed to duvets
Review 57:ideal location, right on the seafront. The restaurant was fine. Studio 28 seemed perfect for balcony and the ability to bring down the shutter to shut out the light but let in air.
Review 58:Bathroom tub needed caulking water-mould will form here.
Review 59:great location on the beachfront. Local restaurants were pricy and trying to get a normal meal from 3-6 pm was impossible. Many restaurants had a fixed number of items [very limited] at this time.
Review 60:We stopped in Berck en route back to England from the South of France, and had an enjoyable time on the beach, eating at a lovely local restaurant and staying at the Neptune. Much nicer than the alternative budget hotel on an industrial estate next to motorway!
Review 61:The rooms have been refurbished but we still had damage to our bathroom door and bath .
Review 62:The view of the sea and beach is perfect. The parking is so ample but its the location why We return to this hotel. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was great !
Review 63:That. They did not act on two issues, shower had mould and they did not clean it off and one of the bedroom lights were not working and they had no one to fix it as it was the weekend!
Review 64:Well positioned to the beach and other amenities
Review 65:Decor. Room was hired for 4 people. It was fine for one night, but not much room. ensuite was upstairs.
Review 66:Value for money. Helpful Staff. Location Very comfortable beds
Review 67:There was no kettle or enough glasses for the three of us, even thoughthe room could sleep 6 people! I thought we were able to use thekitchenette as we booked for four nights but we would have had to pay.Quite noisy at night. You have to pay to use their car park. Limitedview of the sea from the side aspect of the small patio. Web site seemsa little misleading as I thought we would have one of the super lookingrooms shown on it Cleaner only came in once and when we said wedidn't need towels changed she sneered as if we were dirty and shedidn't have another glass for us when asked. We never saw her or hadanyone clean or make the beds in the remaining three days!
Review 68:It is on the beach a brilliant location, Berck is very nice. Lots to seein the area. Restaurant quite pleasant, staff very nice. Did have use ofa fridge, but freezer section did not work.
Review 69:Room too small - had to take it in turns to get dressed. No shower curtain - mould round the bath. Only one chair in room and no table - no room to put a second chair. Cigarette ends on the balcony. Could not reserve a table for two for lunch unless we wanted to eat before 12:45 even though 'last orders' was about 14:00. Would definitely not stay here again !!
Review 70:Large balcony with view over the whole beach. Balcony doors soundproof. Restaurant food was reasonable - charming staff.
Review 71:first room were were allocation was awful - a small room with chipboard dividers to make into a 6 person room - no sheets and very grubby - away from main part of hotel which was seafront - instead a grotty appartment at the back. We went down for sheets and complained it was not very pleasant - not yelling or shouting, just deliberating if we should go, and then were were shown a very acceptable top floor room, in the same block but very different finishes, only one bed made but we found sheets, most clean, in wardrobes - had to go back to reception for towels. Not bad for a quick stop over but geared up for longer stays - good value for money in the end, but the first room was a bit of a nightmare.
Review 72:second room we were allocated - sea view, good sized accommodation, mostly clean sheets
Review 73:No table available for dinner

Review 97:No air conditioning If opened balcony door for air was deafened by a mobile disco playing on promenade.
Review 98:Position and view from window
Review 99:The bedroom is in need of up grades. The bathroom was grubby and in need of modernising.
