Reviews for Al Lago
Review 1:Everyone of the staff I was able to spend very kind during the stay pleasant.Restaurant and the Bar of the cuisine was delicious. Location is also the best.
Review 2:The staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble for them and they always had a smile for us.We also enjoyed the food and wine in the restaurant which was first class.
Review 3:Internet signal was weak and breakfast could be a bit more varied. But just minor issues. M
Review 4:Great spot. Very very pleasant friendly staff and really...some of the best and freshest food we ever tasted. Bed is large. Room is large and cozy. Nicely decorated. Location at lake is beautiful.
Review 5:The hotel and the staff were not as warm and welcoming as would be expected in such a village. The facilities are good though there is no common area except for the restaurant. We didn't get the cosy feel we were expecting from a hotel in a small village. Dinner im the restaurant was good though by far the most expensive meal of our entire trip in Andalucia.
Review 6:The city of Zahara de la Sierra is a lovely place to stop on the "rota de los pueblos blancos", we very much enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is conveniently located at the entrance of the village and impossible to miss. We had a nice dinner on the terrace made from local produce. Good breakfast buffet.
Review 7:Confusion over price of massage. This was, however, addressed promptly and an explanation provided.
Review 8:Location and friendly staff
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:All the staff and owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Very comfortable and enjoyable. Would highly recommend
Review 11:The dinner at Al Lago Mona was perfect. Especially Fried avocado salad was amazing. Espresso is highly recommended!!
Review 12:Food in the restaurant is outstanding. Rooms very pleasant and tastefully decorated.
Review 13:Glorious location, friendly and efficient staff. Will certainly return.
Review 14:Air conditioner was not powerful enough and the room was a little hot.
Review 15:Beautiful views and room. Great breakfast.
Review 16:For this level of accommodation I would expect Wifi in the rooms. The "lounge" is in fact a sofa area that is part of the restaurant. The main focus of the business is the bar/restaurant. I would describe Al Lago as a restaurant ( good quality) with 4 rooms (equally good quality) above rather than a boutique hotel as described on this website. Their description on their own website is more in line with this.
Review 17:The hotel is in a lovely village with easy access and parking. Having said that, it is quite removed from the centre of the village which has a charming atmosphere. All the staff were courteous and friendly. The restaurant meals are of a high quality.
Review 18:Peaceful location over looking the lake. Nice terrace to sit and have drinks on. In house food of high standard Lovely rain type shower in bathroom
Review 19:Superb staff. Friendly, efficient, just superb people. Food was excellent. Location is stunning in every direction. Parking very easy and close (a real relief after dealing with the miniature-maze streets in the old towns of cities for two weeks. I'm going back for sure.
Review 20:Every thing was good
Review 21:We arrived on a cold winters day. The reception and our room were warm. Comfortable sofas down stairs where wifi worked. Very good dinner. Some Moroccan dishes. Good wine list. Pretty Restaurant, bar meals and good tapas. Live music.in the bar. Good relaxed breakfast. No rushing to clear away. Lovely views of the lake with good outside seating for summer days. Even towels to take to the village swimming pool. Very relaxing.
Review 22:I can't think of anything to dislike.
Review 23:This was recommended by a fellow motorcyclist in my club. brilliant place to stay. great roads around and within striking distance of the south coast via Ronda. Fantastic food of all sorts, lovely staff, just great. We liked it so much we stayed for two nights. The bikes were reasonably secure parked round the back and visible from the upper corridor.
Review 24:No English speaking staff. Bed was hard and therefore did not get arestful night compounded by loud music outside bedroom window in themorning coming from car parked outside bedroom with 2 guys chatting.Dinner reservation seating was given away and Paella was much too saltywith London prices. A request for an adaptor was made twice to Mona andshe said she will look into but never got a response. All in all a verypoor experience.
Review 25:Great views over the lake and directions getting there
Review 26:nothing, would go back again,
Review 27:situation, friendly staff, excellent rooms with all extras, good food, looked like a cosy winter place with wood burning stive in dining room
Review 28:Bathroom extractor fan was really noisy. Restaurant dinner missed the mark in some respects. Others thought it was great, so maybe we didn't make the best choices from the menu.
Review 29:Focussed on walking in the Ronda mountains with guide books available and the ability to make reservations for the restricted walks in the national park. Restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Good breakfast
Review 30:The room and bathroom was excellent. The veiw spectacular. The staff lovely
