Reviews for JUFA Hotel Graz

Review 1:no dislikes at all !!! As I always travel with earplugs in my bag I could not be bothered by the noise coming from the main through road nearby.

Review 2:Close to Main station Graz, modern and good price for the value, pleasant for people with allergies, nice breakfast buffet included

Review 3:water in the shower was switching from very cold for 3 sec to very hot for 3 sec, it was impossible to take shower. There is not enough light in the room, it has a working desk, but no light ..... Bed is uncomfortable, as well as pillow. Internet connection was poor. Later check-out costs 7 euros !!!

Review 4:Breakfast was relatively good

Review 5:Only one key card unless additional deposit is paid ( unheard of before). The key card is needed to turn on electricity so this is a problem. In comparison, highly overpriced.

Review 6:Easy parking, nice staff, comfortable beds, big rooms and good breakfast.

Review 7:The parking lot was very expensive and had very few parking spots free. Efectively I was afraid to leave the hardly found parking spot. I paid the full price for a triple room and got the comfort of a duble room with two beds and an uncomfortable couch. :-( The remote control of the TV was missing batteries and I was surprised that I had a safe deposit box, but no fridge in the room, which was a dissapointment.

Review 8:The location, near to City Center; breakfast was very divers, with lot of options. We loved the deck in front of facility. The AC works well.

Review 9:The warm breakfast options (eggs / bacon) were very unappetizing, on both days Staff seemed pretty unengaged, though professional It would have been good to have proactive information about things for families to do, perhaps even excursions - I felt that there was underused potential in the place

Review 10:Family-friendly Play areas outside and inside Bar open later for drinks and snacks Breakfast variety

Review 11:Not really, but finding a nearby eatery open after 8 was really a challenge, despite its proximity to the train station.

Review 12:This is really a 2 star hotel in terms of hotel and room facilities, not a 3 star.

Review 13:Breakfast was a full on breaky with eggs and juice, toast, cereals, coffee, salads, bacon. Just up the street there is a cheap restaurant thats open late and has great food. Its a short 12 minute walk to the train/bus station.

Review 14:Just to reach to the main street you need go through few secondary streets which are not the best to walk late in the night..so better to take a taxi to go back to the hotel...

Review 15:15 mins walk from the center ..good service and very nice and clean building..close to a tram stop...

Review 16:The wifi is not really good in the room

Review 17:The hotel's staffs are really nice and willing to serve and help you! The facilities in JUFA hotel are more than sufficient! The breakfast provided by the hotel gives you various choices and it is really great!

Review 18:quite dirty bed sheets and room floor, not much light in the room

Review 19:good value for the money, rich free breakfast, good cleaning in the toilet and bathroom, free and fast WI-FI

Review 20:There was no lamp next to the bed, and the overall power of lighting was a bit low (not much trouble). Minor problem was, that there were no plugs next to the bed. The corrior had a special smell. Since the toilett and the bath is at the same room it would have been nice to have some kind of ventillation system. All in all these are just minor priority things.

Review 21:Rooms are freshly renovated and perfectly clean and airconditioned. We liked that the beds stood on wheels so it was easy to join them to have a double bed. The breakfast was really wonderfult, and outstanding in case of a hostel. The location is also quite OK. I very much recommend this hotel, I would definitely stay there again if I stay in Graz again.

Review 22:Lights in corridors were not working, what was really disappointed. Hotel is in immigration neighbourhood, a little bit scary at night. Staff is more polite for german speaking guests.

Review 23:Nice, clean hotel. Private parking, but cost a lot - more than 8 EUR, even for invalid people. 1, 5 km to the city center - beautiful place especially town hill with clock tower. Is possible to get rooms only for 2, 3 people. You can meet people from around a world. In my opinion for 1 night.

Review 24:There was construction going on right next to the hotel with machines operating from 6:30am till 7:30pm. All sorts of people live in the neighbourhood, however, it is not too bad.

Review 25:I had a very calm room with comfortable bed for a good night sleep. The breakfast is excellent and plenty to choose from.

Review 26:Even I noticed and approved by hotel reception there was no stuff when I arrived. I waited 30 min and then difficult check-in. Some other guest were too loudly.

Review 27:parking quite expensive wifi poor working sometimes

Review 28:very nice breakfast spacious room, entrance, and garden you can park the park nearby (outside the green zone)

Review 29:More like a hostel then a hotel. A good 15-20 minutes walk to town. Extra costs for parking. Some building work going on.

Review 30:Reasonable value and room neat and functional.

Review 31:Too much noise in the corridors until late at night (kids running around, people talking loudly and slamming doors) and unexpected visits in the middle of the night by a "night auditor". The result - sleep deprivation.

Review 32:I initially had problems with prepayment of room. My bank blocked my card so after I unblocked it I re-added my details to booking.com but got emails for days from receptionist threatening to cancel my booking if I didn't give them my details. 24 hrs before arrival they finally confirmed my booking. On morning of checkout I was intending to leave 15 minutes before deadline since I didn't want to wait long for my train at the train station. Cleaning staff would not leave me alone, which was very annoying when trying to pack up. Very far from city centre.

Review 33:Room was clearly newly renovated and very clean and comfy! Close to train station. Good breakfast.

Review 34:The girls in the reception could smile a bit more - but maybe that's just the way Austrians are :) Nevertheless, they were kind and helpful...

Review 35:New rooms and the climbing gym next door is great. Breakfast is superb.

Review 36:Staff at the receprtion desk was quite unhelpful and in general not very friendly. Most of the times they would not even greet you properly, let alone help with something (directions, etc)

Review 37:Location is fairly central room was comfortable enough and cleaned regularly. Wifi connection was excellent.

Review 38:Furniture a bit worn out. No shops in the neighborhood work on Sunday afternoon.

Review 39:Good value for money. Location 15 min walk to the center, 2 bus stops. Friendly staff. Clean.

Review 40:Expensive parking (8.5 euro/night) and welcome at the reception which starts immediately from payment issues))).

Review 41:Breakfast with tasty and healthy food (e.g. soft cheeses, blue cheese, prochutto and sundried tomatoes). Spaceous room (20 sqr.m for 2 people). Friendly and comfortable environment. Natural materials in the room interior.

Review 42:Price of private parking is simply ridiculous. There are parkings not too far away that are cheaper (nonsense). "Standard" WiFi is quite slow. Having to pay an extra for a normal-speed one is disappointing. Excessively high temperature in the room - and I couldn't lower it. It was something like 30 degrees, and all chocolate I had with me got melt soon.

Review 43:Outstanding comfort in the room. Excellent breakfast, perhaps one of the best I ever found. Structure is wonderful, as well as position in the city.

Review 44:There was the WC separated from the rest of the bathroom, and without aspirator. In the toilet there was no soap for the hands. The breakfast didn't have so much choice. Not nice location

Review 45:Very clean, bed were confortable, good for young people or families

Review 46:We found a little bit far from the town centre. With our 3-year-old daughther, the pushair was essential. The cleanliness and the towels in the bathroom can be improved, considering the price.

Review 47:This place is a good choice for families with children, because there are excellent play rooms there. The breakfast was also very good with a lot of options.

Review 48:No refregerator given. We were travelling with a kid for whom we need to store the milk. Struggled a bit with it. The room given to us more like a business meeting room. When asked about a family room, they said they dont have.

Review 49:Size of the room,

Review 50:checking in was not polite, not nice..charging more than was written on the bill....next morning another person made it better...but bitter taste ramains...

Review 51:nice atmospfere...a .lot of green space..

Review 52:The hotel itself is great, however, the surrounding could be better - obviously, the area around the central station is not the best one of Graz

Review 53:Big rooms, good breakfast buffet, nice garden, restaurant terrace, play-room for children

Review 54:Before traveling, I received an e-mail that if I don't pay in advance, they will delete my reservation, which was contrary to the details I received on booking.com. I wrote an e-mail and I was right and they apologized but still it stressed me out. When I arrived they asked if I reserved 3 rooms for 1 night when I reserved 1 room for 3 nights... It was not a problem, but what if they are full? At night, the area seems a bit scary, I was uneasy when walking home from dinner around 10-11 pm. You have to go down to the lobby to connect to the internet, after going up to the room you will have net for a while but not long

Review 55:The rooms are great, clean and comfortable. Great shower, good breakfast.

Review 56:Lacked atmosphere - staff weren't particularly welcoming either. Was quite a long walk to the town center through doubtful area. We also scraped the car on the rock at the exit barrier to the car park and received no reply to our emails concerning this hazard.

Review 57:Clean, comfy room and plenty of options at breakfast (including take-away sandwiches)

Review 58:Internet signal, if you drop the signal, then you have to go to the reception area in order to obtain the connection again.

Review 59:Value for money. A great place to stay, specially the third floor. My room was ok.

Review 60:There was no fridge in the room. And also I didn't like that you have to pay for the parking.

Review 61:The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choices

Review 62:The price is a liitle bit too high for this kind of hotel ( youth hostel ), there could be more variety for breakfast.

Review 63:The hostel is located within walking distance from the old town, with spacious rooms ( family rooms ), comfortable beds, nice indoor and outdoor playground for kids, nice and polite staff.

Review 64:it's a family/youth hotel. so expect early signs of life :) bad wifi signal in the room.

Review 65:friendly staff, good location, good breakfast. simple but good accommodation.

Review 66:Location is not just in the centre of the city but 20 minutes walking is not much. Taxi is not expensive.

Review 67:Very nice for having a rest. Excellent breakfast. Clean and large rooms.

Review 68:No bedside table AND no power outlet near the bed! Watery orange "juice" for breakfast. Air conditioning blows directly onto the bed (got a bit chilly in the night).

Review 69:Very clean, tidy and modern room! Very friendly staff! Quiet at night! Good, rich breakfast! Powerful air conditioning!

Review 70:The room looked old. The towels and bed sheets also looked as being used for a long time already (clean but not new)

Review 71:Great indoor playground for kids. Good breakfast.

Review 72:my door slammed quite frequently upon drought, and the bed was quite narrow. But this was in no way serious, annoying or otherwise disturbing. Everything was alright!

Review 73:very friendly staff, rich breakfast buffet and good location (15min walking distance to city centre), and large parking lot. Excellent value for your money

Review 74:Dysfunctional aircon in a hot summer night, no reading lamps, no soap for washing hands - just a small bottle with shower gel that a family of five had to use for washing hands... The surrounding neighbourhood surpirsingly neglected.

Review 75:Cleanliness, nice garden with playground, big, although paid, parking, well reacheable by a car.

Review 76:I think the parking was a little bit expencive.

Review 77:The hotel is excellent. Maybe it is the most perfect hotel for a familly with children. We were a group of friends and it was great also for us. The room is very spacious and very very clean...! the brekfast is also very nice. I totaly recomend it and i will definitly go there in my next trip in Graz.

Review 78:You can not check in until 15:00.

Review 79:Clean rooms, very good breakfast, great value for money, parking.

Review 80:Expensive car parking

Review 81:Very kind staff, good breakfast

Review 82:Bathroom and WC has the glass wall. It seems to be a problem in the night because light disturbs other people in the room.

Review 83:A location is near the railwaystation. A good breakfast. A peaceful place.

Review 84:Relaxed, very pleasant atmosphere, kind personality, youthful energy.

Review 85:The little garden where tou can sit an enjoy a beer is super relaxing! The beds are clean and comfortable!

Review 86:none

Review 87:easy

Review 88:Excellent value for money, outstanding breakfast buffet, great for young families with kids.

Review 89:Rooms are small.

Review 90:Very good location - 10 mins walk to Graz Old Town. Clean rooms, nice staff. Breakfast was great - good choice of food.

Review 91:Wifi almost always dead. Almost impossible to use
