Reviews for Es Moli

Review 1:The evening menu at the hotel was expensive. The nearby restaurant Can Quet - owned by Es Moli - which is highly rated had recently closed for the winter so we missed that option. Poor shower gel.

Review 2:Room was excellent. We were in the annex but upgraded to the superior so were on the top floor with balcony. Worth tackling the steps for. The hotel's cove and the free transfer to and from was good and the lunch there enjoyable.

Review 3:The Deians (not Es Moli) have a daily habit of open air fires in the morning that fill the valley with acrid, eye watering smoke. Surely there's an alternate means of disposal.

Review 4:Deia itself is lovely and tranquil The landscaped grounds of Es Moli complement it well with flowers and fruit trees throughout its terraces. The staff at Es Moli were friendly and helpful and I enjoyed engaging with several of the other guests as well. Breakfast was bountiful and good and a special multi course dinner was superb. The long pool was a delight after a day of hiking and exploring.

Review 5:We stayed in October, and only one restaurant was still open, and to get to it from the third floor without going back down to reception and up in a different lift, it was necessary to cross an open terrace in the rain. The food in the restaurant was "international", and frankly pretty boring and tasteless, and there was very little choice available. Wines were also pretty average, and overpriced. Our room was too hot, and when we requested that the air conditioning be switched on, the staff were very dismissive and told us that as it was now winter this was not possible!

Review 6:Good view of Deia from our balcony, and comfortable, quiet, room. Pleasant grounds.

Review 7:we planned to catch-up with work whilst taking time out to holiday. Poor internet made this impossible :( Bathroom cleaning wasn't always up to scratch but overall ok.

Review 8:front of house staff were very accommodating, chatty :) and efficient. Jamie at breakfast always asked if we were ok and had a lovely smile every day. Ana was exceptionally accommodating above and beyond her call of duty :) her special touches in remembering our favourite pastries for breakfast to the type of tea and how it is taken was excellent. lunch by the pool side was delightful especially the lamb chops were delicious! overall it was a great holiday experience and Hotel Es Moli added to that experience in many ways. thank you to all the staff that made us feel very comfortable and happy. from John & Hema. Review 10:Perfect location if you seek for peace, amazing views & outstanding food. Yes, I have to agree outlook is slightly outdated, & as we usually look for modern design hotels in any of our travels - we were very suspicious - how this our hotel experience will turn out. & this is place worth to visit for sure. Rooms are spacious & view from our 5th floor room was amazing. All small details ( comfy bed, soft towels, spacious bathroom) was just perfect. Very high quality meal - probably one of best you can get in this area. Sincerely suggest to have dinner there. Yes - as all hotel restaurant might look a bit outdated from appearance but food is excellent & service is outstanding as well.

Review 11:The hotel is rather dated and initally this took me by surprise as slightly different to some of the photos I had viewed before. We stayed in 2 separate rooms during our stay and the balcony room we had didn't have a view and was overlooked by next door so much by a temporary barrier that it wasn't really a private balcony you would use. The swimming pool gets crowded even in mid September and unless out there early doors you won't get a seat

Review 12:Really liked the fact it was quiet without lots of screaming children round the pool. The staff were super helpful and helped us navigate food options as I have several severe food allergies and they took care of it no problem. Really enjoyed the breakfast and lunches around the pool. The front desk team are also really helpful when it came to restaurant reservations. Hotel has some wonderful views looking out to the sea and the mountains, you can even see donkeys grazing in the distance from the pool bar :) great place to explore Deia as only a 10minute walk into town

Review 13:B&B rate is expensive, but Deia is an expensive place to visit in general.

Review 14:Deia is s beautiful place and the hotel is in the perfect location to explore. Staff were just wonderful! So friendly and helpful.

Review 15:We have been before, but preferred not to be in the rooms up the hill. we were not aware we would be so far away from the old building, these rooms should be cheeper.

Review 16:The noisiest hotel we've ever stayed at, when trying to sleep. We were on the 5th/top floor. Very busy with "other europeans and their towels" ! Will be writing a letter to the manager. This is not a "boutique hotel" nor was the balcony private.

Review 17:The Staff and service were excellent. The gardens are delightful.

Review 18:The most relaxing stay you could ask for. The tranquility of the location was fantastic. The hotel was warm and homely, and the staff are very friendly. Found the hotel to be very clean throughout and the buffet breakfast offered a fantastic choice. Enjoyed the menu choice offered in both the main restaurant and the tapas terrace. The village of Deià is only a 10 minute walk and offers some excellent restaurants with idyllic scenery. The village also offers a mini supermarket and pharmacy to pick up any essentials. Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Review 19:the stuffiness of the guests attracted to this place-ok if you're middle class, and of course, British.Really spoils the ambiance of the hotel

Review 20:the location and food

Review 21:The breakfast room was pleasant.

Review 22:Very poor value for money. 309 Euros for 1 night. Basic room. No balcony. Staff in pool bar unfriendly. In the restaurant the staff were excellent. (We were there for a friend's birthday).

Review 23:Nothing!

Review 24:The peace and quiet was something very special. It felt like staying in someone's beautiful home rather than a corporate hotel. The atmosphere was relaxed and unobtrusive.

Review 25:Parking; difficult to navigate around hotel; Main bar did not open till 7.00pm and terrace refreshments closed at 3.30pm; step from corridor into foyer and steps in front of elevator!

Review 26:Views from Hotel; staff friendly

Review 27:Cold food at pool bar. Returned to us with hot chips but still cold toastie. Luke warm tea each day. Soiled table cloth at breakfast.

Review 28:Convenience to Deia. staff at Can Quet restaurant. Joan (waiter, very polite and helpful)

Review 29:The bed was uncomfortable. Too many wasps on the Deia terrace! Breakfast food could be improved and more food covered to prevent flies landing on it.

Review 30:The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Beautiful dining areas and views. Great pool. C'am Quet restaurant was superb!

Review 31:The wasps on the breakfast terrace were a pest.

Review 32:Can Quet Restaurant food and staff excellent as were all the staff throughout the hotel. The reception staff had excellent English and anything that you wanted, you only had to ask.

Review 33:The WiFi was quite slow at times.

Review 34:The service was excellent, the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself is lovely, with great rooms, wonderful swimming pool set in beautiful gardens. We can see why so many people keep coming back to Es Moli.

Review 35:Bathroom was a little old fashioned, but clean and large.

Review 36:Very lovely hotel. Built into the hillside. Lovely pool area. All staff speak perfect English. Location is lovely.

Review 37:Nothing that I didn't like

Review 38:Really fabulous location. ! Facilities are really good , staff are always friendly and vety accommodating , will definitely return at some point

Review 39:Rooms are rather tired - more like 3 star in quality. Hotel needs to invest to improve quality of these. Significant and perennial problem with wasps in their nice breakfast terrace. Should be tackled as they can make the experience unpleasant around the food. Price- expensive

Review 40:fabulous location, friendly staff and large pool. Food is very good indeed. Private beach is very nice and worth a trip in their coach. Quiet location near to iconic village of Deia. Exceptionally nice reception staff deserve a mention

Review 41:Do not go to this hotel however. The room, balcony, non existent view were sub standard and not worthy of the superior double name or price. When we politely asked to change rooms, the receptionist Tata was the rudest most insulting unhelpful hotel worker I have ever met in 43 years of travelling. There were rooms still unoccupied but reserved for the precious regulars (this is our 3rd visit in 5 years!).To be told to shut up,that she didn't like us and to put the phone down on us was unforgivable. We left the next morning.Deia is amazing, but please don't stop at Es Moli unless you want shockingly rude and unhelpful service. We ended up with an amazing week in a wonderful hotel in Soller, the Jumeirah, sublime.

Review 42:This is third visit to Deia which is absolutely stunning.

Review 43:Only the fact we were led to believe no children stayed here We have children and we love children but sometimes it's nice to have a quiet holiday with like minded people

Review 44:Location Muleta Cove Staff friendliness

Review 45:Kids, red carpet , signs not clear, pricey for food, wifi bad, no balconey and was not advised, phone in eatery rang and could be heard at night in our room,

Review 46:I loved the location, loved the hotel the grounds, the quiet, ithe town clowe by, thtrqnsfer to their beach, thr setting, the peqce, the sheep bells, the church bell....staff fantastic,

Review 47:I would prefer an a la carte menu for dinner and the imported wine choice is limited

Review 48:The staff were very friendly and always helpful the location is wonderful

Review 49:Lack of attention to detail especially considering we were in a suite and paying a lot. Dirty glasses not removed or cleaned up. Didn't empty ashtrays. Coffee etc not properly restocked. Nesspreso machine water was full of ants. Small things but they add up when you consider how much you're paying. Would have been nice If there was complimentary waters. Also wanted to have a couples massage that was advertised, but they were not able to do more than 1 person at a time. Called for ice during the night and told it's not possible because room service closes at 11. Surely it's not hard to get a bucket of ice from a machine?

Review 50:We had originally booked a dbl room in the annexe building, but it was stuffy, had a bad smell and had no view at all. So we paid to upgrade to a suite (all that was available). While it was very expensive for what it was, we had a lovely verandah and a gorgeous view and lots of fresh air. Arrival bottle of wine was a nice touch. Loved the jacuzzi tub. Comfortable bed. Also enjoyed the private cove.

Review 51:The cleaning service starts their job at 8.30/09.00, knock the door and open it, while you can still sleep - could be arranged later, when mostly all guests get up (10.00-10.30).

Review 52:The hotel is sooo beautiful! You will enjoy the interior in the rooms, in hotel's coridors, etc, the views at breakfast, the garden - everything is more than great. Every time I was at reception there came guests, who said it was their second/third, etc time in the hotel or it was recommended by friends.

Review 53:All the sun beds get snapped up and booked for the day so be quick.. Not very authentic loads of English and German tourists - feels like a cruise ship.

Review 54:Good location

Review 55:Despite signs asking guests NOT to reserve sunbeds around the pool this was clearly not adhered too. When the hotel is full and sunbeds are at a premium this is annoying/frustrating for those who play by the rules. Meal at Ca'an Quet ( Es Moli's a la carte ) was well below the standard of the other restaurants in Deia

Review 56:Friendliness of staff, good facilities, nice surroundings and good breakfast

Review 57:Everything is perfect! The staff are attentive but not intrusive, the food is excellent, the accommodation very comfortable and the swimming pool is wonderful - large enough to exercise and for all to enjoy

Review 58:Pillows not great, bed bit too short - but then I am 193 cm. Other than that..great.

Review 59:Location, staff, relaxed atmosphere. Love hotels that lack pretension.

Review 60:Nothing! It was all perfect Just to note that there are buses but only 4-5 a day so worth hiring a car if you plan to explore (only 2 taxis in the area as well!)

Review 61:Friendly and helpful staff (especially Adolfo and Chris) Huge variety at breakfast, everything was beautiful Incredible scenery 5-10min walk to Deia, great restaurants for dinner Peaceful swimming pool and gardens Incredible massage treatments

Review 62:Poor food in hotel but excellant meal at the external site. Piano music was far too loud and sounded bad. Hotel appears to be dated and needs upgrading

Review 63:Excellant staff, Swimming pool

Review 64:Wonderful staff create a calm, relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Gorgeous large and deep pool. Beautiful gardens. Views from every part of the hotel were stunning.

Review 65:There wasn't anything not to like.

Review 66:The staff were extremely friendly, the room was immaculate and the whole experience was extremely relaxing - just what we wanted.

Review 67:Buffet dinner was let down by the staff first helping themselves to the food and then clearing it away when we were only half way through our meal.

Review 68:Had a really nice, spacious room in an annex building. Was quiet and out of the way.

Review 69:Except I thought breakfast was not great.. Loads of choice but quality of product not great. It could be fabulous.. Less choice but better quality.. Would really help.

Review 70:Loved everything except

Review 71:evening meals were excellent but if your appetite is not always in top form they seem a little expensive if you only need two courses

Review 72:breakfasts --- the pool and general ambience

Review 73:Bathrooms very dated . Also feel in a 4 star establishment the toiletries should be of a better quality and shouldn't be expected to use same carton of milk for three days !

Review 74:Pool area and gardens stunning . Spotlessly clean.

Review 75:No bad experiences at all. But we did think the restaurant in the evening lacked real ambience and atmosphere. A real shame, as the food, price and service was good. Just change the seating layout, and they MUST change the lighting.

Review 76:Location was lovely. Already a good value deal, we were upgraded to a sea view room at no extra charge. Room was large and extremely comfortable. No hint of a chain hotel here. Reception staff were exceptional too. Could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Review 77:The only thing is due to its mountainous location, the roads to and from are very tight and windy and not for the feint hearted.

Review 78:The grounds of the Es Moli were lovely

Review 79:Nothing

Review 80:Staff were amazing, food fantastic, clean friendly and our every need anticipated. We felt very special and cared for and will definately return.

Review 81:We may have liked bath rather than shower, but there was nothing wrong with shower.

Review 82:Everything... Nice room. Upgrade on arrival. Lovely breakfast. Wonderful view from terrace with outdoor heated pool. Weather was lovely in April too, a great time of year for walking and enjoying the true beauty of the island.

Review 83:The sun never came to our balcony. Duvets on the beds would be better than the blankets. An "a la carte" menu for evening dinner would be helpful.

Review 84:The trees the flowers and the lovely warm weather even in October. The views were super and all the staff were polite and always helpful. The breakfasts were outstandingly good.

Review 85:The dinner menu was limited to a fixed set 4 courses at euro 45 -- no other option. A La Carte would be welcome. That said the food was excellent.

Review 86:The location, views and the Muleta, beach club. Very comfortable.

Review 87:The arrangements for acquiring pool towels and lack of towels at beach cove,

Review 88:Helpful staff Immaculately clean Very good value for money The private cove and shuttle bus

Review 89:Not the best curtains for blocking sun in the morning and shower pressure not the best but in the whole would definitely recommend!

Review 90:Stunning location, hotel for adults, lovely heated pool, quality breakfast and friendly staff.

Review 91:We had a late flight home and requested late check out, but this was not available as the receptionist didn't know what time new guests were arriving. Bedding was very old fashioned.

Review 92:The location of hotel in beautiful gardens with spectacular mountain views. Helpful and friendly staff, great food and facilities.

Review 93:Our room in the annex was a bit dated, but it had a nice view and the bathroom was newly renovated. We didn't spend much time in the room, so that was fine.

Review 94:We enjoyed our two nights on this beautiful property. Set in the hills near Deia, the hotel grounds are filled with terraces that hold every kind of Mediterranean plant you could imagine. The pool and pool bar were a welcomed treat after our days on the bicycle, but nothing beat the private cove that the hotel shuttles you to. The breakfast had everything you could ask for and more (meats, cheeses, breads, eggs to order, fruit, vegetables, juices, coffee, tea-- etc.), complete with a great view. We stayed in October, so the hotel wasn't crowded, and we always had our choice of where to relax. We wished that we could have stayed longer.

Review 95:The friendly, professional staff. Attention to detail. Everything was well maintained - all areas were immaculate including the vast grounds. All staff were attentive and more than willing to help when needed. It means a lot to visit a hotel that does not have the 'hotel' smell.

Review 96:Room 405 has dated bathroom. Noise travels easily throughout so at night you hear a toilet flush, a bed creak... But our big complaint was the terrible food served by the pool, we tried twice, each was awful, as a result we avoided dinner. As we obviously arrived out of season there was no Al a carte menu on offer, instead a 45 euro table dote with 30 euro bottle of wine.

Review 97:Location.

Review 98:Dining room for dinner lacked ambiance and staff (dinner only). Rude and not experienced. We arrived OMG with 2 other couples late one evening. (Not traving together). Would not serve salad to one couple took salad bar away and would not let it be used. We ordered from prefix menus One regular and one vegetarian waitress could not comprehend what we ordered. Suggestion: to make your dining room more intimate at night close 1/2 off to make smaller. Lower lights and get rit iff cafeteria style appearance. (Night time only. Breakfast was very good and staff accommodating. We would consider staying again hope this input helps.

Review 99:The beds were too hard to sleep and the pillows were too hard as well dinner menu too few courses.

Review 100:Great staff! Beautiful large rooms beautiful surroundings! Great breakfast great pool great massage

Review 101:Price, small balcony with no privacy, endless steps if you stay in the annex, & well - the guests all seemed to be retired Brits who looked like they came every year .......

Review 102:Location, setting, quality of hotel & grounds all excellent.

Review 103:The restaurants - choice of Tapas, which was rubbish or a la carte @ 45euros. Very disappointing.

Review 104:The room was very comfortable with great views from the balcony. The pool area was excellent but the swimming pool was freezing cold. The breakfast was excellent with a choice of eggs cooked to order.

Review 105:NO REAL DRAW BACKS.

Review 106:BREAKFAST WAS GREAT AND THE ROOMS VERY COMFORTABLE. STAFF WERE REALLY FRIENDLY AND MADE OUR STAY VERY PLEASANT. WOULD DEFINETLY GO AGAIN.

Review 107:Having to sit at dirty tables and set my own cutlery for the first two mornings !! On my 2nd morning having to wait 20 mins for coffee having said that once I had some harsh words with the waiter the rest of my mornings were faultless past reviews said it was very clicky with people who had been going to the hotel for many years TRUE!! To all of those people yes good hotel open your eyes there is much better out there

Review 108:Private cove is fantastic Tapas bar also very good Regardless of my negative comments I would visit es moli again iam 47 my partner is 44 think we were possibly the youngest couple in the hotel if the new owners want to succeed has we'll has the last owners new customers are your future look after them same has your old faithfuls

Review 109:Gym in hotel not particularly good

Review 110:Attentive but discreet staff Deia is beautiful Very relaxing setting High quality hotel but has family feel to it

Review 111:Lack of taxis in this area.

Review 112:The sea view from our balcony room was lovely. Lots of choice for breakfast and beautiful views from the breakfast area. All the staff very friendly especially the receptionists. It was a lovely hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Review 113:Think the hotel could update main building. They have done so in the rooms, but feel the corridors, stairs, & bar by the breakfast area could all be re-vamped to match the rest of the hotel. Also, the quiet room in the annexe building is very dated, so would really benefit from a re-vamp too to bring the decor in line with rest of hotel.

Review 114:Bedrooms very nice and clean, ac very good, bathroom nice and modern. Breakfast was lovely on the terrace, bit of a trek from your room (we stayed in the annexe), took about 10 minutes slow walking and stairs up and down, ok for us in our late 30's but maybe not for an older person. All hotel staff nice.

Review 115:The neighbours in the next room who complained constantly and made a atmosphere whenever they were around.

Review 116:Breakfast was delicious. Loved the chickens meandering around the place. Very relaxed atmosphere

Review 117:Too many rules for example, you are not allowed to put a bottle of water in the mimi bar. Ours was taken out which we thought was petty.

Review 118:Good size pool and beautiful gardens.

Review 119:Evening meals at the hotel were €45 pp and wine €20 a bottle. Lunch by the pool was about €15.

Review 120:Nice room with fantastic views (3rd floor of the annex) and a good sized balcony Excellent staff Lovely pool area

Review 121:Couldn't fault a thing.

Review 122:Beautiful Gardens and well maintained pool area. Fantastic location and amazing views from 5th floor main hotel Good choice of restaurants in the hotel and also close by A great choice at breakfast Good spacious rooms in the main hotel. Attentive service

Review 123:I wasn't a fan of the food as I believe the fish and prawns I had were frozen. This is being very picky but I like my seafood fresh!

Review 124:The pool was huge and the gardens were stunning. Even though it was very busy I could find a spot in the sun or shade to relax. The staff and all the facilities were excellent. The Cove was beautiful and a nice change from the pool. The breakfast had great variety.

Review 125:The quality of the food at the restaurants was excellent although sometimes we would gave preferred a lighter meal.

Review 126:Superb facilities with friendly helpful staff. Plenty of space. Great air conditioning in the room

Review 127:Only minor niggles: the ubiquitous, dreadful plastic flower arrangements throughout the hotel; there never seemed to be fresh pool towels available at times when I wanted them.

Review 128:Almost everything. Particularly the always friendly service and reception services. And the absolutely phantastic pool.

Review 129:Wonderful hotel, great service, nice rooms, private cove La Muleta with direct transport provided by hotel, good food, excellent breakfast, the gardens, the pool, very quiet atmosphere, surrounded by nature,...we did not need anything else, just perfect, will come back!

Review 130:The service at the cove bar and restaurant was variable and one day quite poor.

Review 131:The location and view from breakfast terrace was excellent. The private beach and cove is stunning .

Review 132:The wifi in our room was patchy.

Review 133:Great situation, and helpful staff. We were there with a six month old and they were very receptive to washing feeding bottles etc.. Breakfast wasn't as great as many comments we saw beforehand, but was still good. The cove at the sea is beautiful, and we wished we discovered it earlier.

Review 134:All fabulous

Review 135:Just returned from most relaxing break in years. Great hotel 5 minutes walk from village with its wonderful restaurants and cafés. Beautiful walk to local cove and courtesy bus to hotels own cove .

Review 136:The staff

Review 137:everything about the location and quality

Review 138:The perfect place to relax

Review 139:The uncharacteristicly unfriendly staff.

Review 140:the location

The Fine Print

In the restaurant in the evening long trousers are required for gentlemen.Hotel's "exclusive rocky cove" Sa Muleta is open from 10 am – 6 pm.Please note that the bar on the terrace opens every evening (except Mondays) from June until the end of September.
