Reviews for B&B Domaine Le Clos du Pavillon

Review 1:The directions were inadequate for us and with a tiny bit more information the place would have been very easy to find. This is something we pointed out to Lady L over breakfast.

Review 2:We approached the establishment from a slightly different route and to be honest the directions were a bit challenging for us. The house is lovely and the room a gem. There were a few confusions regarding dinner but that was overcome and we found a nice place in Brignoles to eat. We were offered a lovely glass of wine from the nearby vines. There had been bad weather so a few hiccups regarding internet but that is nobody’s fault. Compared to all the places we stayed in after this one we felt that the welcome was a little bit abrasive, maybe it’s something to do with languages!

Review 3:The animals could sometimes be a small hindrance at mealtimes, and one must be prepared to accept this isn't a hotel, but once this is understood, it's great.

Review 4:Lady L is a real individual, and the experience of spending time in her version/vision of a Provençal vineyard, her family home, was truly inspiring. The place is unique, a lovely country house set in acres of vineyard, with a delightful courtyard dining and breakfast area. The furnishing is eclectic, much collected by her over the years, and others there for years. The place is somewhat dreamy. It makes you want to slow down time, and just relax. Plus, there is the managerie of animals, mainly a collection of dogs and cats, all tame and friendly. Her food is of the region and well made, her rose wine is surprisingly good, even more so considering the traditional methods employed in its manufacture. The room was large and comfortable, a trip into her past, perhaps? Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and with her. However, be aware, this is her home and not a hotel.

Review 5:None.

Review 6:Lady L. was a great host and her place was beautiful and peaceful right in the middle of vineyard. My family enjoyed everything at the place, the clean and cute room, pleasant breakfast at the pool side, refreshing air, sharing some of Lady L's life story, the cats and dogs, her wine and more. And don't miss the stars at night if you are from a city! She even wrote a day trip plan for us and it was very helpful! There were many interesting places to visit nearby. We highly recommend this place if you want some relaxing time and to see the real Provence!

Review 7:The most amazing place to stay if you're in Provence and looking to stay at a wineyard! Lady L is an amazing woman who takes extremely good care of her guests. It is a beautiful setting just hanging out at the wineyard and when there she makes sure you're not missing anything. She served us, breakfast and dinner (and in bewteen that we got wine snacks and whatever we wanted). She loves animals and takes care of animals who had a rough start in life. The dogs are very social and as soon as we went out to the garden they came up to us and then stayed right next to us until we left. We stayed here for two nights and we also went to see some villages close by. Lady L gave us very good recommendations on what to see in the region and also maps to follow. Would definitely recommend this place!

Review 8:The beautiful decor in our room and the entire house, a quiet walk through Lady L's vineyard at sunset, and the private gourmet dinner by candlelight she prepared for us.

Review 9:Authentic French lifestyle experience. Great breakfast served in the beautiful and chic courtyard. The host is very friendly and her pets are all made our stay very enjoyable and memorable.

Review 10:Although we were the only guests in the B&B, Lydie made us very welcome and we had a really enjoyable stay. This is proper french hospitality at its very best and we thoroughly recommend you try it

Review 11:Really remarkable place. The house is surrounded by a vineyard which looks pretty much like a movie. Lady L is an awesome host. You must and I mean must follow her travelling suggestions, try her wine made in the facilities, and order her dinner. Amazing place to relax and enjoy.

Review 12:This home is charming French old school. Lots of wonderful and chic object d'art. The owner does all she can to make your stay memorable. If you like the thought of stayibg in a 16th century Bastide you cant go wrong. Its a wonderful place for a wedding to!!

Review 13:Unique place to feel the ambiance of Provence life.Lady L is beautiful, strong and interesting woman. The bottle of rose, wich she gave us as a present was actually really good. The old nostalgic house, big key to the entrance door ,dogs and cats, vineyards, very nice long breakfast. Stay, talk to Lady L,and just feel it. Nice experience!

Review 14:This is a very lovely place!! Lady L, who is running the B&B is wunderful!! She really made our stay a memory for for us. The chef made a gourdious dinner (with 4 dishes!). Lady L maked the table in the backyard while we were trying the wine from the yard in the beautiful light from the sunset. All the animals in the yard make the stay even more genuine. 5 cats (one with a blue and one yellow eye), 2 dogs and a lots of chickens. All the food and wine were ecological! It flelt like we were invited into a real Provence home. We make our best recommendation of this place!!!

Review 15:so so so nice a B&B,even though the traffic is not that convenient, but we rent a car when we visit provence,so it is not a problem.i book 9 hotel when i travel in Italy and france,it is the most beatutiful and unforgettable ,laly L is so kind and took good care of us,and the dinner is delicious ,too, especilly her wine, haha ~living in this house,i have no regret about my travel, the house is so amazing!!!if there has a chance , i will go back to there again, hope there has a chance to meet lady L again

Review 16:Nothing, except may be the passing-by cars at night if the wind is blowing the wrong way... This being said, we slept perfectly!

Review 17:Lady L is a very nice and welcoming person, who loves her home and nature. Thanks for all tips you gave us for discovering the area: Cotignac, Collobrieres, etc. Fantastic breakfast outside, on the terrace. Bed was very comfortable. A nice get away in the heart of pure nature!

Review 18:Très bien!!! A wonderful place with surroundings as taken from a movie scenery. Our room was truly special and the food that was served was very high class, with ingredients picked from the garden minutes before the cooking started - a gourmet experience! Do take the opportunity to buy a couple of the delightful Lady L rose wine! We look forward to stay here again — T & M, Sweden

Review 19:The owner was very attentive and hospitable

Review 20:This is more like staying in a private house than a hotel. We had an excellent evening meal, al fresco, with the excellent domaine wine.

Review 21:Lots of historic atmosphere in this genuine Bastide complete with antique furnishing, set in quiet location amongst the vines Lady L was very helpful advising on places to visit and routes to take. Overall a very memorable experience.

Review 22:The dinner was over-priced, it should have included the wine

Review 23:Stepping back in time with real ambiance. Lady L & Jean Claude were very hospitable. The food and wine were great

Review 24:A magical place. Lady L is a gracious hostess and was very kind to give us ideas for our day trips from Brignoles. Have at least one gourmet dinner at the maison. Jean Claude is a terrific chef and the presentation was beautiful. Candlelight dinner in a 17 century bastide...perfect!

Review 25:It wasn't the main destination for us when we travelled to Provence but when I found the house I felt it is something different. And I was right, it is a miracle, Lady L with five cats, Klo the painter who cooks excellent, comeing from a ferry tail. The house is full of antiks everything is original not destroyed with renovation. And for half an hour driving you can find lots to see as Cotignac, Lady L will give you tips what to see. Don't miss the dinner, it is completly different experience here than a restaurant. It was a surprise for me because I do something similar work at Sarffy House. If you are looking for a special place it is that. Everything is different, but the best way.

Review 26:İmpossible to say anything negatif what so ever....

Review 30:Beautiful old chateau set in vineyards. Lady L lovely host. A memorable stay.

Review 31:We were welcome very warmly by the owner, Lady L, and we found ourselves at home. The mansion is splendid and the service at top level.

Review 32:Very quiet and well located, would come back. Wine is a must try, i wish i bought more !
