Reviews for Hotel Puerto Resort by Blue Sea
Review 1:Too long to wait at the reception for any kind of informatiom Very bad Internet Bed linen hasn't been changed in 8 nights swimmimg pool towels never changed, you get them for the whole term No breakfast boxes in case of early departures
Review 2:Food View on the Teide and the ocean
Review 3:Room only cleaned 2 times over the week. Swimming pools were cold. Wi-Fi slow and only available in reception. Lots of residents appeared to be on full board stay, lots of quantity avilable, quality just ok.
Review 4:Very spacious room, with balcony and nice view.
Review 5:The staff in the reception were terrible. Wifi was really slow. The drinks was 90% water. Don't order all inclusive. Do half board and eat lunch out. The entertainment at night were noisy and very British.
Review 6:Value for money. Really nice pool areas - pools were nice and chilly! The cleaning staff was excellent! Happy and smiling.
Review 7:the front line staff were unhelpful, and couldn't even produce a smile. Not happy about that. Especially the two ladies.
Review 8:The foods was excellent, would go again
Review 9:During our stay there was big Polish tourist group (~30 persons). There was too loud late at night when they were sitting in terase till 3 oclock in the night. The food cool be better
Review 10:Good place, nice staf, good rooms
Review 11:Fitness center; equipment and weights are all broken, all the equipment is faulty, disaster, pictures on the website are not real! Food: hams, cheeses, other raw materials from the cheapest grade class, all the food is undelicious, fish out of the freezer! Free Internet only in Lobby, very slow, unuseful!
Review 12:Swimmingpools area
Review 13:- rooms are extremely old, probably 25 or more years - stains and odd fixes in bathtub and whole bathroom in general - prehistoric TV with almost no usable channels. Although watching TV is not a high proirity for us on vacation, sometimes you want to lie down for an hour and watch something. - aircondition did not work at all. Talked to reception around 3-4 times. After two days of explaining, we got new room - In the new room the fridge did not work, same procedure. Five or more times at reception - receptionists have a huge language problem, they barely understand english. You try to explain a thing, they keep repeating the sentence they learned without any logic. With some luck, we got receptionist later who was able to speak a bit of english. Perhaps they merely have non english speaking guests here. - aircondition has a schedule, it works from 14:00 till 02:00. So mornings and nights are hot. But if you go out for the day as we do, it is not so big of an issue during the day. Although I would expect from a four star hotel to have aircondition also at night, so you do not wake up at 5am and go opening the balcony because you have 27° in he room. And this is the superior room, for which we paid the upgrade fee. - mattress on the bed insanely needs a replacement - cockroach in a bathroom this night also drastically reduced our opinion about this hotel, he was big and by big I mean almost 2 inches (4-5cm). - spa needs to be renewed. Sauna has broken wooden parts, I fell into bench after sitting onto it. Smells bad. Jacuzzi had dirty water.
Review 14:This hotel has a few good factors: - the food is tasty fresh and diverse - pool and surroundings are nice - free parking around the hotel - free wifi at reception, although it is very very slow. But that is understandable due to the number of people in the reception
Review 15:don´t think so many bars should be closed all at the same time. Bit disappointed at this.
Review 16:good value for money, friendly staff, rerturn time and time again.
Review 17:The night time entertainment was a little poor. I speak English and Spanish, the karaoke really only catered for the Spanish so I think the English were not happy as they couldn't participate.
Review 18:Food was excellent. The waiters were very nice and polite and nice to see older people working.
Review 19:Rooms though good size.... Beds very uncomfortable....poor wifi.... TV only 2 channels and sparking....thought it was going to explode.
Review 20:the location and some staff were friendly. Rooms were of good size.
Review 21:Food was a little sub standard, didn't like the 'help yourself' all inclusive style during the day, lunch was poor.
Review 22:Location was good, room was clean and tidy
Review 23:don´t have any complaints this time except maybe you should try and update the wi-fi.
Review 24:We like everything cos we only live down in Torviscas Alto but it gets us away from everything and we love the hotels
Review 25:The breakfast waiters are not nice and want to put you off the room at 10:30 strict One of the recepcionists is rude( just one)
Review 26:The rooms are big and confortable The vew from the room balcon is beautiful
Review 27:Nothing really!
Review 28:Everything, apart from the weather! This was relatively cold (for Tenerife!) - 20/22 deg (max) and not very sunny. The staff were friendly and very helpful; the quality and choice of the food was excellent, although we did tend to eat at the Canarife Palace Restaurant which we had experienced last year. In our opinion this restaurant had a wider choice of food and was slightly better run.
Review 29:You have to pay for the TV channels and the internet. The free Wifi in the foyer only worked when I was the only one using it. The beds were very poor quality and the indoor pool was not heated.
Review 30:The buffet was good value and the staff great. There is plenty of street parking and the location is lively with shops and restaurants.
Review 31:- Unfriendly only lady at reception. - No gym as declared. Small room and bad quality broken equipment and lack of equipment. No running lane. - No proper sauna. You need to book in advance and the quality of it is horrible.
Review 32:- Location - Fair price
Review 33:No free wifi in the room The buffet wasnt worth the money. Had same type of food and not many choices for children Need to have cash in the bar if you dont have all inclusive The staff dont translate fluent in english
Review 34:Pool was nice Good view from the windows
Review 35:Not clean room at our arriving. The room maid was forgetful (leaving her working accessories in room). Need more explaining about the Blue card from staff. The registration is in one hotel, the staying is in another. The catering service isn't understandable. The Wi-fi is free only in reception and it's weak.
Review 36:Location (just a 20 minutes from main bus station in city); Quite (not loud at nights); Few young people, more older people - 90% of them are from Germany. 24h reception.
Review 37:Hotel needs refurbishing as a little tired but clean and staff were helpful. Meals could be a little more exciting but all inclusive seems to mean chicken and chips or pork chop and chips in many resorts
Review 38:For a low cost night away in the north it was perfect for us
Review 39:Payed in cash while checking out at the morning, but hotel took money from card used for booking as well! Thatd disgusting! Re-check your card if book this hotel.
Review 40:This is not a four star hotel. We booked for one night thinking we would have a nice meal in the restaurant. It was horrendous. An all inclusive bun fight on plastic chairs. Couldn't even get a decent drink. Pay 2 euros and help yourself to a pump on the side. Food quantity over quality. Beds so hard I thought I was sleeping on an ironing board. Walls so thin I knew when several rooms were using the toilet. There are some lovely four star hotels in Puerto de la cruz. This not one of them.
Review 41:The only thing I liked about this hotel was the size of the rooms.
Review 42:Couldn't find hotel as name changed to Canarife Hotel - and were put into Bonanza Hotel. All drinks were in plastic glasses as only bar was outside - no indoor bar open - not very comfortable sitting on plastic chairs for evening. Met some people on half board which didn't include juice or tea/coffee with breakfast and were charged 2€ per drink each.
Review 43:Rooms were clean tidy. Food OK. Staff and animation team friendly. Entertainment ok some nights better than others, day time activities were fun.
Review 44:If you search, ypu can really find sone problems in the hotel, small, but annoyingsing and you have to know it in advance. IThey are made to take from you some euros more.- The price DOES NOT include drinks! You have to buy tickets for drinks, two euros per day, if you want with the food even water! Not so big deal, but if the price for a room was 44 , and not 40 euro, i should pay it again and drink freely, and now we all feel misused and angry to the staff...- the drinks are not good. There is water, papsi products and tree cheepest wines. Thats all, and very samll glasses and drinks too far away.- There is no Internet for free. Be sure about that. I had lot of work to do, so i got to the lobby first with the telefon, where i sau that the telephone got connected to network, but not to intyernet, so i understood that there is a limiting of the connection from the hotel. Most users where with Samsung types of telephones, so i got the next day down wit the laptop, wich has very.. owerwhelming WiFi. Got Internet! But battery got down, so i switched my cable with a cable of portable lapmp in the lobby. The next day tried it again. The laptop was not charging and was down shortly. Hm, i firstly thinked, that the recarger was dead. No. Swithed on the lamp and it was now working. Swithed on every lamp, no result. The guys removed the central swich of the additional lamps of the lobby just to be sure hat i wont use Internet again .What a idiotism... Internet does cost 6 euro per night in the hotel. A pre payed Internet card with 1 gb costs 8 euro a mounth - from Orange or another dealer.- the plates weighted over a kilo and were absolutely flkat. So you can not fill them and the kid can not use them at all. The idea is t onot eat to much - visibilly. And when you fill a plate, there comes a serviteur, wich begins "kidding", that you will become fat... How funny!- hot water is changing temperatures. Slight problem, but you can feel this with the douche.
Review 45:You really do not have to look after the bad comments. THey look like people, who got to Teneriffe just to stay for free in the hotel bar, and after 10 days they get bored and the food looked similar to them. Advantages of the hotel: - Best price, aboslutely worthy, and even more; - Largest room i ever seen for a double room in hotel; - Great food. Absolutelu untrue that it was equal every day .Yes, the breakfast was almost the same, wit more than 50 things to choose. The dinner was with some 50 thing the same, and around 20, that changed every evening! One evenng it was a sea food evening -so there were 4 fihes, calmars of two types, sea salads, fish fingers etc - other evening it was meals of pork and lamb etc. Good food, even for the kid. - Good view, to the ocean ad to the mounteens - that what we got. - Friendly stuff, speaking english, russian, french, spanian, german and perhaps more. - Beautifull rum, convinient bad and sleeping. - It is written, no parking, although i used the parking of the hotel almost every night; - TOurist bureau by the recepcion with usual prices. - near to the Lago Martianez and Loro Park, though you have to know, that for Teneriffe near is not a good word. It is really near but over, because beach is to high and you have to go round around a kilometer if you go on foot. Still best for travelers.
Review 46:Wifi and TV chanells were expensive, it should be for free in a four star hotel. Self service bar with low quality of drinks (all inclusive).
Review 47:The pool area, room with the sea view, friendly staff at the restaurant, quality and diversity of the food, animation, we had a great stay!
Review 48:There were signs in the swimming not allowing to reserve sun beds. But you go at 10 am and all sun beds are full of towels, i went to the reception to complain and the answer was we cant do nothing if we take the towels the costumers will get angry with us, and the lifeguard suggested me to lay on the floor, there is plenty of space. The lifeguard is a useless and arrogant person, this isn't an answer to give a costumer. We were at the swimming pool and there were sun beds for no use for hours, and no one did anything about it. I suggested to have somebody between 7 and 10 am not allowing people to reserve sun beds, that way everyone will respect the rules. Its a shame because the hotel is very good.
Review 49:Food was great and locatioon
Review 50:Pool area very busy, to be expected in August. Sun terraces needed cleaning.
Review 51:Excellent value for our weekend break. Lovely quiet room with comfortable bed, also view of Twice.
Review 52:Poor WI-FI connection but that seems to be general in that area.
Review 53:Good outdoor facilities, particularly the pools. Plenty of choice in the dining room.
Review 54:Old buildings
Review 55:People
Review 56:Only entertainment was a childrens disco
Review 57:Friendly staff Food excellent
Review 58:Entertaiment in the evenings and childrens club not as good as last year
Review 59:Good food , clean and plenty to do for kids
Review 60:the beds were uncomfortable and could do with extra pillows x
Review 61:Fantastic stay great hotel
Review 62:WIFI only in one building and very spotty. Mostly didn't work
Review 63:Pools and breakfast
Review 64:Only give free Wifi in reception, other than that it costs 6 euros for 24 hours per device.
Review 65:Everything except Wifi problem
Review 66:Staff in the reception and management
Review 67:Great food and helpful kitchen staff. Good location and beautiful view from the top floors
Review 68:Too loud room, cold
Review 69:Sea view, good amenities
Review 70:I stayed at Bonanza Palace and I didn't like the Reception for this Hotel being in another building up the street.
Review 71:It had a Spa.
Review 72:No wifi
Review 73:room cleaning was minimum at best
Review 74:the pools location for walking
Review 75:Very bad never again found cockroach in my room room was a mess
Review 76:No name of hotel on the building! Took an hour to find due to name change!!
Review 77:not having tea or coffe available at dinnertime variety was not much choice
Review 78:the comfort and friendliness were excellent staff very friendly
Review 79:No bar in the lounge area
Review 80:It was fantastic value for money most of the staff were helpful and friendly and we will be going back
Review 81:having hip problems I find the mattresses a bit too firm.
Review 82:location,friendliness of staff, able to use all three resorts.
Review 83:Everything about this break from beginning to end was fantastic excalant value for money will be going back again
Review 84:Breakfast not as good. No shower hat or shower gel provided. The room was not serviced during our 2 day stay, so no clean towels on day 2. Hotel shuttle-bus only Monday to Friday.
Review 85:Large comfortable room. Dinner good quality for the price.
Review 86:Internet was 6EUR per day and was not available in our room, just in the hall and around the pool - very disappointing.
Review 87:Location, food selection, free shuttle-bus between hotel and city center, nice and spatial room. View was just perfect - part sea, part mountain!
Review 88:Some activity, my room-cold,humidity,not enought clean in some places and corners if we are talking about four stars...!
Review 89:Restaurant,Food,the most of waiters,place...
Review 90:The room and bathroom was dusty and bed linen was never changed in 6 nights.
Review 91:I've asked for a view and got a perfect one, just the best I could imagine. The location of the hotel is very comfortable, one can find everything nearby. The breakfast is excellent, the dinner is outstanding, we've never seen two same dishes in 6 nights. The restaurant's staff is really special, we would like to thank just everyone, but particularly Pepe, we absolutely fell in love with him, and Victoria, always so helpful and welcoming, and two stagiaires Radu and Marian. The organization and atmosphere during the meals is amazing.
Review 92:The room we were given was nothing like what we had booked and only after being shown a third room was it acceptable although still not what we had booked. The room was dirty to begin with although it was rectified once we made it known. Staff in general were unfriendly and unhelpful and the food was of a poor standard. It is definitely not a place I would return and I think it should have a 3 star rating not four.
Review 93:The Hotel is situated in a quiet part of Puerto in a picturesque suburb with views of the sea and mountain. The hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk to the main town of Puerto
Review 94:The free television channels available. In fact, we only found one; BBC World News. We expected to have at least the BBC and ITV terrestrial channels free.
Review 95:We liked our room, spacious and comfortable with a good view of Mount Teide. The hotel was spotlessly clean, both inside and outside, all the time. We found the staff we approached friendly and very helpful.
Review 96:For a 4 star hotel and the price paid, there are a couple of unacceptable things. TV with just 4 channels available and the rest of them only as a paid service (4.5 EUR/day). No free wifi, which is almost the standard in every 1 star hotel in the rest of the world and, moreover, if you pay the extra fee for it (6 EUR/day), the quality of the internet connection is horrible. Breakfast with fair variety but not necessarily the best quality.
Review 97:All quality is cut off. The hotel(s) must have earned their stars back in the days. It's three hotels put together, and you need to cross the street to get lunch. The food is the worst all inclusive food I've had. The buffet looks nice, but it's bad prepared and the highest review of a dish was "ok" or "eatable". I also asked a few other guests what they thought and they had the same opinion. You might take the breakfast, but don't spoil your stay with the rest. Because the rest of the all inclusive is not much to pay for. The usual low quality copyalcohol is self service (!) in some kind of shed while the real bar outside has no guests at all. (It could have been a nice hangout) and some of the snacks, like burgers and pizza slices are dried out and looks like something ready for recycling. I had two extra days on Tenerife where I stayed at a three-star hotel. They managed to have happy staff, laughing guests and a similar buffet-concept where the food was really tasteful. Also: Beds of poor quality and there was no lock on our balconydooor, and we had a roof and a stair right outside of it.
Review 98:Staff is overall friendly, but not enthusiastic. Very nice and positive cleaning ladies. The rest of the staff is dominated by middle age and older men. Poolarea at Bonanza is nice.
Review 99:The name of the hotel in Booking.com des't match the name on the hotel's bulding, which make it quite dificult to find. The reception is extremely busy and almost all the time you need to wait 20 min to ask a question. The staff doesn't speak a good enough english. For me the quality of the service match better 3 star hotel then 4 star. All the 4 days I've been there they did not change the towels or linen. The weather in this part of Tenerife is cloudy almost all the time.
Review 100:It is a nice hotel for the money you pay. All inclusive was good enough.
Review 101:Entertainment with live animals not acceptable though I saw no animalwelfare issue. Snakes do not deserve to be so exploited. Entertainmentwas strictly for the kids not adults or teenagers and could have beenmore imaginative and not so stereotypical Spanish
Review 102:Access to three hotels' facilities and their proximity to bank andsupermarket/s
Review 103:Understand with all inclusive costs need to be watched but the alcohol served was very poor quality and was no option offered to pay extra for better quality
Review 104:Jose in the restaurant was superb - great attention to detail and very friendly.
Review 105:The reception staff didn't know what they were doing, it took almost a hour to get booked in. Our room was not serviced during our 3 days stay, I complained to the reception but they were not interested.
Review 106:The food and drink very good. The hotel in General was ok
Review 107:Food:Food was almost always the same, and they overserved leftovers;Poor deserts; The waiters often took our plate from the table without any premission, and sometimes while we were taking our last bite (this happened a few times); One of us actually found a piece of plastic in the food.BAR:The "All included bar" was a mix of poor quality alchool (bottom quality alchool actually) and regular soda - If you wanted some nice beverage you had to pay extra, and it wasn't cheap;FACILITIES:There were 3 pools - 2 outside and 1 inside - and they were always dirty. Eventhough there were many signs saying that you were not allowed to reserve the pool chairs, by 8 a.m. 90% of the chairs had a towel above it, and no one to be seen around it - this was a practice that hotel staff overlooked and we never saw them caring about it.The sauna was broken - both of them - so was one of the pool tables (the best one).ROOMS:On the second day, we were awaken by someone successfully forcing entry on our room with another card. Luckly it was just the neighbour's son getting his room's door wrong, but still, we got a bit aprehensive. The cleaning wasn't so bad, but still, more than once we fond liter in our bedroom that wasn't ours - like a razorblade cap, where none of us had a razorblade. The room's door had a major gap of 4 inches, through were all the noise and light could pass. The walls were very thick and you could ear everything that was going on in the other rooms. One of the rooms we ordered was to be a double bed, and they got us twin beds.Only 4 tv channels were free, the rest you actually had to pay for.ANIMATION:Animation was almost always the same.Same activities (darts, throwing spoons into the pool, petanca and "waterpolo") and the same music (that actually was popular, in 2010) everyday.GENERAL:In the first day, our flight arrived at Tenerife at 8:25 p.m., and we only managed to get to the hotel at 10 p.m.
Review 108:Staff was quite nice; Animation staff did their best to overcome theirgeneral lack of skills and resources. You could use the facilities ofthree differente hotels Breakfast
Review 109:ordered double bed , was fobbed off with twins,
Review 110:excellent breakfast value for money, Would go again for longer ( with a double bed ) would have stayed if the staff had changed the bed after my request
Review 111:Most of your other guests..... We are adults ranging from 27 to 42 fromteacher/electrician/tiler uk and holiday complex managers incala llonga ibiza so you can see we did not expecting to be in a hotelthat was full of all older miserable people. It was very clear theholiday is mainly geared up for a certain kind of client. That a sidethe few people we mananged to raise a smile and conversation with werevery pleasent. The entertainment lacked direction and imagination ashame really as they were a nice bunch .
Review 112:Puerto de la cruz was beautiful, lots to see and do lovely restaurantsand bars in and around the area. The hotelbonanaza/interpalce/canerife blue sea resorts were clean andwell maintained. Food good . staff mostly friendly.lovely grounds.
Review 113:Cockroach in bathroom.lot of pensioners
Review 114:Puerto de la cruz
Review 115:The hotel room was terrible, air conditioning that did not work to twinbeds Pushed togeather.
Review 116:The food was okay.
Review 117:No coffee, tea or water in room...
Review 118:Staff friendliness
Review 119:crappy hotel
