Reviews for Hôtel de Provence

Review 1:Wonderful older hotel in the heart of the village. Lots of personality. As a bonus, it has a fantastic restaurant, where we ate some of the best meals we have ever had. It was easy to walk everywhere.

Review 2:Wifi was iffy at best. parking could be an interesting game or you may get lucky and park in the public lot directly across the street. No elevator, which was no big deal for us though we were two flights up. No A/C

Review 3:The staff was very friendly and though I speak some french they did not mind when my wife would try a few french words and then revert to english. The hotel is set up in what I view as a classic french style (garish colors on the wall but it all seemed to work and look nice). The beds and rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall it was a very comfortable experience that we would do again.

Review 4:First impressions not too good. Location on the corner of bust road, but went quiet in the evening.

Review 5:Very warm welcome. Very clean, excellent food. The restaurant was full of local people. Breakfast was delicious.

Review 6:This 19 century hotel is in the old town of the ancient summer capital of Provence. If you are looking for a real provencal experience, this is it. Rooms are comfortable, clean and functional. All the expected facilities are there in the retrofitted style that is typical of these old buildings. The staff could not have been more accommodating. In a word, charming.

Review 7:Note that there isn't any elevators and you have to carry your bags up all the stairs. No aircon. There was no actual allocated parking spaces but free parking all around the area but be prepared to walk a bit to park.

Review 8:Location was accessible and value for money was good. It's good for a place to crash at the end of the day. Clean and friendly staff.

Review 9:No air conditioning, dated decor

Review 10:Friendly proprietor, good restaurant

Review 11:The helpful staff and the dinner was excellent.

Review 12:Food was excellent and very good value. Restaurant quite busy with locals for a November Fiday night.

Review 13:The hotel was on a very busy corner with main traffic and as all the rooms seem to be facing these streets it was very noisy . room was very small.

Review 14:Bathroom door from kids room didn't close properly.

Review 15:Friendly helpful staff.

Review 16:Hotel is on a busy junction in the middle of town so quite noisy.

Review 17:Owners very friendly and helpful. Room OK but nothing special. The restaurant is in the square oppersite and was very good.

Review 18:I'm not too demanding, as this is indicated as a 3-star hotel. But the bathroom facilities were terrible. I had to maneuver around the sink to sit on the toilet. the shower stall was too small for me to enter easily; I had to gently move in and out. The carpeting could be replaced, and the bed was a bit too soft for my back.

Review 19:The picture is misleading, as it is there outdoor cafe in the summer. The hotel with the restaurant on the ground floor is across the street. The people were quite nice and helpful; the owner let my dog into the restaurant with me! The restaurant is really very good; try it even if you're not staying at the hotel.

Review 20:The hotel is just a few kilometers away from the motorway. There is a basilica and royal convent in the neighboring village st. maximilian, that worth seeing. Perfect local food and vine are served in hotel restaurant in the evening.

Review 21:Hotel would have been hard to find without our gps. On main road, butactually in middle of the town, with one way streets confusing.

Review 22:We were given the family suite for three people. Two connecting roomssharing one bath. Their own restaurant with terrace was quite good.

Review 23:Shower head needs attention, getting in and out of the shower was a bit tricky, I'm not as agile as I used to be.

Review 24:Everything was pretty good. The evening meal was great and breakfast was good too.

Review 25:No complaints! Historic building missing some non-essential elements(lifts, aircon) which we did not require.

Review 26:Wonderful, cozy, last minute discovery. Friendly and competent staff, lovely Provençal setting, located on a shaded public square in thehistoric centre of Brignoles, steps away from main points of interest, shopping and an amazing Saturday market.

Review 27:The Bed was very uncomfortable.

Review 28:Staff spoke no English whatsoever, which. this being France, you can expect, but still.

Review 29:Friendly staff helped us out as much as they could.
