Review 1：The hotel did not have an indoor swimming pool but that it is only a small grump in the enjoyment of my stay.

Review 16：Rooms looking a bit tired - could do with a revamp. A very needy and clingy shower curtain that insists on wrapping itself around you. But nothing that would spoil a short break.

Review 17：Great Location. Busy and lively but no noise at night. Great Variety of food. Nice friendly and helpful staff. The biggest safety deposit box I have ever seem in a room. Never mind a lap top, cold fit a desktop and monitor in there!! Very clean.

Review 26：Although the hotel was the first to charge my creditcard (succesfully), upon arrival they decided to refuse the payment and I had to pay cash again for the one night!! Very strange! Thankfully I only booked 1 night here. My point; A lot of waiting and hussle when just arriving here!! In none of the other of 12 a13 hotels I booked this happened. Hotel n room are oke, nothing special but not bad either.

Review 27：The hotel passages stunk of smoke people smoking in the rooms,I did ask for a no smoking room did not get one I paid extra for a terrace,the door was so narrow that It was impossible to walk out there noprmally, I had to squeeze out side ways and I am not that large in the first place. The room could have been cleaner,I had to buy a room fragrance as the bathroom had been cleaned with dirty mops therefor smelled/,also did the shower curtain.Behind the seens does not reflect the outside and foyer. Three of the bar staff had no idea how to make a cup of tea, I had to show them on lady tried by using cold milkthis is supposed to ba 4 star hotel.

Review 28：The staff were very pleasant and helpful the garden and pool area were good the food was ok a good enough selection for me to choose what I liked.The location was good.

Review 29：A group of 10 people went I realised when reaching london we hadn't been given the room with terrace only some. No vegetarian meal apart from chips and salad when asked for refund advised no. Time restrictions on when drinking water available too!

Review 30：Property is outdated, it would definitely need a refresh. Bed is too hard and too small. Breakfast is quite poor: no selection of dark bread (except some toast with a very bad taste), fruits are not very good, and you only get powder-based (orange) juice: this is a shame for a 4* hotel!

Review 32：Parking is a problem. The hotel does not have parking facilities and finding a free place in Puerto de la Cruz is the favorite sport of locals and tourists. I have to say that we were lucky most of the days, but if you end up in the nearby mall (Martianez) parking lot, be prepared to pay a outrageous sum for a night. Nearby restaurants have outdoor music until midnight. Not a problem for us, but may be annoying if you want to go to bed early.

Review 33：The location is excellent. We got two rooms with balcony and sea view, although we had not reserved that type of room (sometimes you are lucky). The staff is also very helpful, and breakfast buffet is excellent. I cannot tell about lunch or dinner. Although temperature was not high (around 25º C), having air conditioning in the room was helpful.

Review 35：The location is perfect: lots of bars, restaurants right on the hotel's street. Several beaches right 2 minutes away from the hotel. The room was good: it was cleaned every day, had a fridge, air conditioner, bath tub, nice TV even with Russian channels.

Review 42：Our room strongly required maintenance, though I know there are some recently refurbished rooms in the hotel as well. But the main problem was strong smell of kitchen (especially during breakfast times). This problem seem to be mostly critical on sea-facing rooms of lower floors (we were staying on the 3rd).

Review 64：The Hotel is situated right on the sea front and is ideally situated for a walk into town . The free shuttle service to the Loro Park is right outside the front of the hotel.The breakfast was excellent but the evening meal needs a bit more flair and quality.

Door to the balcony was not keeping the noice outside however it was very quiet after 10PM so no harm done. Hotel WiFi didn't always work but when I was able to connect it was OK.

Review 68：The location of the hotel is very good just a step away from the sea. Sea view from the balcony was very nice and room was also otherwice fine and clean. TV had international channels. No noice from the corridors or other rooms. Fresh fruit and vegatables available in the diningroom. Breakfast was good, dinner was O.K. I would recommend this hotel to everybody whose is not looking for luxury but is happy with good level of facilities anf friendly service.

Review 69：The hotel was cold, the bar area especially, the fact that guests were sitting having a drink with their coats on should have alerted staff. Also the bar area not big enough for the size of the hotel.

Location is fantastic if you like being in the centre of things with easy access to lots of bars and restaurants and the promenade along the sea front. Little toy train to Loro parque departs from beside the hotel. Reception and pool bar staff were enthusiastic and helpful.

Review 77：On arrival whilst trying to book in I had to complete with the noise from the bingo being played right next to reception. The hotel has lots of space for this activity which I think could be re-located especially at check-in times.

Review 78：Catalonia L.V. is situated in a very central location. The hotel rooms, staff and food were all very good. Staff helpful, rooms clean and very comfortable. Great balcony overlooking the pool which attracted the sun until 5.30pm. Loved the selection of food at breakfast and again at dinner. I also had a couple of snacks at lunch by the pool, also very tasty and fresh. Would have no hesitation in recommending and would like to visit in the future.

Review 79：the stupid rules that it was not permitted to wear the bath gown from the room to the hotel swimming pool, the safe didn't work and the buffet was really poor

Review 85：The SMELL. The restaurant is terrible, there is a stench of food in the whole place, that gets in your clothes, eyes and hair. It makes breakfast and dinners are horrible. I complained and the restaurant staff said they agreed it was horrible but said they could do nothing, only the owners. The reception staff said they never heard of it, obviously lies. Only wifi in communal areas. Rooms pretty old, and we stayed in the refurbished bit. Considering it costs 100 Euro per night it is EXPENSIVE for what you get.

Review 91：This was our 29th visit to Puerto however our first stay in this Hotel and can not recommend it enough. The receptionist Elliana gave us an exceptionally warm welcome and throughout our stay We were always greeted with a smile. Our room was of a high standard and the mini fridge was a welcome addition to the rooms facilities. The food was delightful and if we requested any alterations to the food on offer, this was met with a positive "of course" nothing was too much and it was evident that all the staff were there to make sure you enjoyed your holiday. The facilities were also of an excellent standard, the pool was clean and was there were ample sunbeds to those who wished to relax. The bars and entertainment were also very good and had something for everyone. In summary a hotel worth every penny and we'd definately return.

Review 93：Our room was on the 10th floor and the view to the ocean was marvelous. Every morning the sounds of the ocean waves woke me up which was amazing, I can only recommend it. The staff was very nice and the food (breakfast and dinner) was great, nice selection. The inner garden of the hotel is very lovely. There was a free public parking place not that far from the hotel (15 min by walking), so parking was not a big problem.

The bed was very very comfortable.

Review 102：Definitely not a 4-star hotel. Big, communist-style building but tiny rooms, w/ a stale, musty smell. The bathroom was not properly cleaned before we got in - you could still see some hairs of previous guests in the sink. The breakfast offers very little choice - v tricky for vegans or vegetarians to find sth decent to eat. Wifi only in the reception area. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. They charge the credit cards beforehand, when you make the booking, and they keep all your credit card info in their system - I tried to have mine secured but they refused. Would definitely not recommend it to anyone or go back there again.
