Reviews for Hostal Aznaitin

Review 1:This two star hostal was better than many three star hotels we stayed in. It even has a pool and exercise room, although I didn't check these. Breakfast was included and was very good, and location was perfect, in the middle of the historical centre.

Review 2:We could not find the hotel as the streets were too narrow for our car. We phoned the hotel and asked how to drive there and where to park and had absolutely no help. Eventually we found our way by asking directions. When we arrived we found adequate free parking just 2 minutes walk away. The hotel's card (which was left in our room) described this free parking; Why could receptionist not have advised us? It would have made our arrival trouble free rather than the stressful end to a long journey

Review 3:The location in the old town was superb

Review 4:In the room have been smoked. I returned to the reception desk and reminded that I had booked a non-smoker room. The lady just told me that this is a non-smoker room, without offering me another room or revising the situation. It surprises me that the room service had not noticed the heavy smoke odor. In the US you pay a 200 bucks fine for smoking in non-smoker rooms. The safe did never work although I claimed that the first day. An additional blanket would have been nice, since nights in October started to get cold.

Review 5:Very quiet town and so also the hotel. Nice design, nice building, very comfortable the bar in the same building. Breakfast menu for 5E is recomendable.

Review 6:An immaculate little gem of a hotel. with character. Good location, nice staff and a reasonable breakfast @ 5 euro. Our room had a nice little Juliet balcony overlooking the street. Parking is limited but free and we had no problem. Super little secluded swimming pool and gym within the property

Review 7:The service and location! So friendly and helpful! Were upgraded to their suite for one night due to failure of the sitcom! Next day got a nice room! Also location , great tapas just at other side of street in Paco's Bar!

Review 8:Location perfect to explore the Historical centre of Baeza. Plenty of street parking close to the hotel. The hotel recently refurbished to a high standard.

Review 9:Liked everything.

Review 10:Everything...staff very helpful, room spotless and a very good size bathroom with great shower.Such comfy beds too!! Walking distance to all sights and a nice little bar right next door.

Review 11:Parking is always a little iffy. We managed to find parking near the hotel every day, but usually it was the last open spot.

Review 12:Very affordable hotel in the old part of town, just around the corner from the cathedral. Very clean and modern facilities.

Review 13:just wanted to have more selections for breakfast, but it was only 3 Euro. Probably, I should not be so demanding.

Review 14:Very clean and spacious room furnished with modern furniture. Bed was very comfortable to take a rest after a long day of walking. Great value for money!

Review 15:Hotel was good but it was difficult to find anywhere decent to eat in Baeza. We stayed for 4 nights and did not have a decent meal despite trying 4 different restaurants.

Review 16:Excellent value for money

Review 17:Well, at a push, as I'm gluten free, just a little "something" more at breakfast for us? (Although there is a great cafeteria in town that does gluten free toast!)

Review 18:What more can we say? This "hostel" needs to taken as an example for the rest of the world, there is simply nothing wrong with it! And as for the price... I can't work out how they do it!

Review 19:Only one hitch, the support for the shower was broken, so had to hand hold to wash, a bit of a fiddle!

Review 20:Ideally situated for visiting , if a bit tricky to reach by car. No parking outside but street parking in street to side of hotel. Charming attic type room good shower room, pleasant staff . Good bar of same name in street parallel. Great place for a cheap G & T and tapas!

Review 21:Perfect location. Really good if you are travelling by car.

Review 22:everything and wifi is really good! kind staff who helped me park my car in right place!

Review 23:Excellent position. Fortunate to be able to park outside. Breakfast more than adequate.

Review 24:Very nice hotel in charmy city

Review 25:Nothing

Review 26:Nice!

Review 27:La decoration

Review 28:Location

Review 29:Difficult to find with a car

Review 30:Great location, easy parking, excellent breakfast. Very nicely decorated room and bathroom.

Review 31:Good Value, quiet, good bed

Review 32:New, incredibly cheap and breakfast for 3 Euros. Nice location.

Review 33:1. The pool did not open until our last day, 18 June, even though the weather had been good for some time. This fact was not made clear in advance. 2. Only after we had left did we discover that our credit card payment had been taken in GB pounds rather than euros. This increased the cost - we should at least have been given the option.

Review 34:Good location, price and quality.

Review 35:The breakfast was not sensational but extremelely reasonably priced.

Review 36:The accomodation was everything that other reviewers have highlighted. If the standard is maintained and the price remains the same you would find it difficult to find a better value hotel

Review 37:No soap or shampoo shelf in shower and as what the hotel provides are in packets, this was an inconvenience. Average breakfast.

Review 38:Comfortable, modern room. Quiet location

Review 39:Parking in Baeza is a nightmare, and given Hostal Aznaitin has no parking lot, the problem is even worse. The region is particularly chilly during winter; we had problems turning the heating on, and the bathroom has an exhaust vent which lets the air in, worsening the problem.

Review 40:Hostal Aznaitin is very well located. It is close to Baeza's main attractions and restoration areas. The hotel serves a good breakfast for a competitive price, although such information is not available in booking and it is impossible to book room and breakfast together. They offer free olive oil tasting, which is a plus, given Baeza is within one of the most prominent olive oil production areas in Spain, therefore oils are rich and unique. Besides, it is possible to buy the oils directly from the hotel at very competitive prices.

Review 41:Can't think of a thing!!

Review 42:This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and no doubt we will use it again when visiting the area. It's in a great position for exploring the delights of the historical city of Baeza. Although the rooms are not huge, they are very nicely appointed and the bathroom was great. The staff are very friendly and helpful when enquires were made. The breakfast was a good continental style with plenty to choose from.

Review 43:Bathroom was a bit cold - no heating in there. Breakfast is okay, but not as good as some other places we've stayed in nearby - a few more choices for those of us who are gluten free would be good!

Review 44:This was our second visit, and nothing has changed - still an amazing place for the price. It's small, but smart and wi-fi is excellent, Baeza is great, we love it! Should be used as an example to any old fashioned place that wonders why tourists aren't booking.

Review 45:The appalling smell from the bathroom! Sewer problem made worse by a horrible air freshener. Smell kept me awake that night. Bed was not comfortable.

Review 46:Location was great - very central but quiet.

Review 47:Air conditioning switched on automatically during the night.

Review 48:Hotel was spotlessly clean. Rooms were well designed with adequate storage space and facilities.

Review 49:TV made an annoying wistling noise when the sound was on, impossible to watch unless the air cond. was on (which just made its own, louder noise). Take notice that Baeza is kinda tourist trap, good for staying maybe 1-2 days max. (as a base for Ubeda and surroundings)

Review 50:Location was good, pretty close to anything you'd like to see, stuff was helpful, room was very clean and comfortable, bathroom great. You can park for free not far away from the hotel, but it was hard to discuss with the stuff due to a bit limited English on their part. I just did it and it worked.

Review 51:Not having hot water one morning. This was due to a 'human failure'. I very reluctantly mention this... intend to keep the hotel on its toes.

Review 52:Everything about this hotel is excellent and it thoroughly deserves its high ratings. We could leave a large bag of perishables in the fridge of the hotel's kitchen.

Review 53:nothing much really to say in the negative. Some onsite refreshments maybe after the long journeys that many have behind them. Parking a bit of a problem.

Review 54:An excellent beginning to a cultural journey of andalusia. Super competent staff - proud of their home and well informed. Nice little swimming pool. For the modest price top accommodation.

Review 55:Disappointed that the pool was closed.

Review 56:Well presented room with very good facilities: clean towels, large shower, toiletries, pleasant décor. Very good breakfast at a great price.

Review 57:Nothing.

Review 58:Hostal Aznaitin is positioned on the edge of the monumental centre of Baeza. Everything was fairly new, our bedroom was spacious and the beds much more comfortable than most in accommodation at this level. the shower was large and powerful. It was quiet at night. The cold breakfast buffet was good with plenty of fresh bakery goods. Excellent value for money.

Review 59:Pool not open yet - May not warm enough for the locals! Though as there were storms all over later, they were probably dead right! Prefer if booking.com would show def pool opening dates, as this happened elsewhere too.

Review 60:Charming staff welcome, service & helpful map orientation. Excellent breakfast variety and best coffee of trip. Nice room & a fantastic bathroom even by our high standards. Contemporary design so clean but with soul and charm. Ideal location, don't miss the walls, esp at sunset. Baeza has fabulous majestic gem of an old town, best if you appreciate quiet and views.

Review 61:First night room on 2nd floor had no view - only skylight. Breakfast very basic, but as it was only 3 euros it wasn't really an issue.

Review 62:Great value. Even better when we were moved to a room on the first floor which had windows you could look out of - and open. Staff were very helpful.

Review 63:Everything. 5 star! The receptionist speaks English which is extra point! They look after the place very well. Very good rooms, perfect mattress! Pool and gym available! Great breakfast!

Review 64:Nothing. Thanks!

Review 65:The Hostal Aznaitin is a great find in Baeza! The star rating is only 2-stars, but could easily be 3. The hotel is on the inside edge of the old city, so walking anywhere is no problem. We asked for a room with a balcony, and were given a fabulous rooms with 2 balconies; one with a view of the bell tower of the cathedral, and the other with a view of the mountains in Cazorla national park. The room itself wasn't huge, but very modern and clean. The large bed was very nice, and the bathroom was great. Breakfast was also very good for a couple of days. The staff is also extremely helpful and willing to assist with any asked. Definitely a great little place in Baeza!

Review 66:Noise of other guests, notably crying children and an alarm clock inanother room which went off and was quite audible.

Review 67:Clean, modern facility just outside the historic area of Baeza.Would recommend spending a few euros more for the junior suite, which was spacious.

Review 68:Stench and smoke from olive oil factory ruined it. If any respiratory problems avoid baeza!!

Review 69:Beautiful town and buildings

Review 70:Very good location, close to the cathedral. Buffet breakfast.

Review 71:Close to old town and to good views over the valley.

Review 72:Superb location Friendly staff Nice decor Excellent value for money

Review 73:Perfect

Review 74:Great beds, good breakfast

Review 75:Very nice little hotel. Despite being in the middle of the old town, the interiors were modern with the best quality. All in all, a great experience.

Review 76:good value for the money. great location, ithin walkng distance to everything.

Review 77:nothing

Review 78:Nice room, nice people, good breakfast, location very well.

Review 79:Great position to explore Baeza very clean with friendly staff

Review 80:Everything esp the staff French windows Good value

Review 81:Location and reception services were A1

Review 82:Billing didn't conform with offering in reservation confirmation

Review 83:AC blows on the bed and the controller doesn't work right = cold.

Review 84:very clean and affordable
