Reviews for Hotel Rústico Spa Finisterrae

Review 1:It is very comfy and warm. We were upgraded to a better, first-floor room, due to availability. Lovely staff at front desk. Very close to the Mar de Fora beach: a hidden gem, perfect for sun set watch.

Review 2:the location seemed perfect to me , it is in a quiet area and just minutes from town, right next door is a wonderful beach where you can watch the sunset. I recommend it.

Review 3:(Only a note: hotel description says that the lighthouse is only 5min walk... In real its a 10min drive by car... But we fine with that)

Review 4:Everything was Nice. We received a a free room upgrade. (Ok, it was low season and I think we were the only guests that weekend) :)

Review 5:You really cannot check in until 3. Though they do tell you upon making the reservation.

Review 6:Beautiful vista! Excellent breakfast! Loved the huge skylight in my room!!

Review 7:wonderful place to the end of a rough road . The facilities were very correct for a rustic house and the sea view at breakfast make this a special place.

Review 8:Food options were expensive so expect to have to walk up and down the hill for cheaper alternatives.

Review 9:Very comfortable room, lovely view, and good breakfast-again with a great view.

Review 10:Cost of meal was expensive with lack of good choices

Review 11:The room was extremely comfortable. The furnishing were all wood. Loved the bath. Breakfast was the usual bread/toast with butter/ jam but also Santiago cake, apple pie and lemon cake with icing

Review 12:Fluent Spanish speakers appeared to receive preferential treatment such as morning check-in. The male in charge did not seem to enjoy his job, often looking impatient and irritated. This created tension in an otherwise relaxing environment. There was no WIFI in our third floor room until the last two days of our week stay.

Review 13:Quiet! Most nights you could hear a pin drop. Made for great night's sleep. Female staff members were friendly and helpful. One-eighty degree view from enclosed porch where breakfast was served. Ten minute walk to secluded Atlantic beach.

Review 14:We liked everything.

Review 15:It was a beautiful hotel at the end of our Camino and a wonderful included breakfast. The walk up to the hotel was challenging but oh what views.

Review 16:Hotel is located uphill & out of town. Staff were not v friendly or helpful. Long wait to get someone at reception

Review 17:Reasonably priced Quite comfortable Not too far from lighthouse in Finisterre

Review 18:We had a ground floor room which was comfortable but it opened straight onto the pool area which we were not aware of when we booked.

Review 19:Very quiet and peaceful during our stay.

Review 20:On arrival (we were early as we were biking and it has rained heavilyall day so we could not stop). It was 1:30pm and the owner/managerlooked at us (we were cold & wet) and simply said "check in is3pm" & ignored us. There was no welcome, no suggestion to leaveour bags. We went towards their cafe and again, we were told abruptly"It opens at 3pm". He was so incredibly rude. We had to get onour bikes and cycle down the very steep hill (ate hotel is not in thetown but up a very very steep hill from the town) & the first hotelwe found we had something to eat and warmed up by the welcome/friendliness and the warmth of the cafe. I would certainly notrecommend this hotel. There are numerous hotels & B&Bs inFinisterre that you can get without booking in advance. The money paidfor this hotel was certainly not good value but the very poor customerservice was the worst I have experienced in my 6 weeks around France& Spain! Absolutely do not go to this hotel!

Review 21:NOTHING BAD WHATSOEVER, but dinner and breakfast have set times and there's no wiggle room. I would have liked to have had coffee/breakfast earlier than the set 7:30am start time.

Review 22:I've stayed here twice and will always stay here when visiting Fisterre. The steep hike up the small hill makes the views from this place well worth the cardio workout. Quiet and cozy, make sure you get the top floor ocean view rooms.

Review 23:Inflexible check-in. Had to sleep in the lobby while we waited. Not allowed to check-in until 3pm exactly. No snacks or drinks available. Breakfast was very minimal. No towels for the pool - Sauna was off the owners room next to the kitchen. Not at all desirable to use. Felt like you were invading their personal space. Asked to book a massage but they never got back to me with an available appointment.

Review 24:The view and patio

Review 25:no wifi in my room, even in "lobby" wifi was very slow breakfast is just coffee, cereal, yogurt, and bread, omelet or eggs are additional 5 EUR access to the hotel goes thru very narrow and steep gravel roads my next to pool room was dark, and could hear pool pump all night

Review 26:comfortable bed

Review 27:breakfast could have been better poor wifi at the top of a steep hill

Review 28:nice staff and comfortable we were there for the second time die to its views

Review 29:Only little pickle is that WIFI does not work in the room. Otherwise a fantastic place to stay :-)

Review 30:Lovely room, friendly staff, great food, and oh boy, that view is unbelievable. I warmly recommend to stay here

Review 31:Staff were quite cold, chatting in Spanish and laughing as I checked in which made me feel unwelcome. Hotel is up a steep, gravelly track - not ideal if you have a heavy backpack. Some towels weren't clean in room. Lacking in any atmosphere and overpriced.Nice breakfast but served late 8:30am, not ideal if you want to get out walking. Would not recommended for Peregrinos!

Review 32:Nice building, close to the lighthouse. Bath was full length which was nice and there was a hairdyer in the room.

Review 33:Nice and cosy 19th century house with a garden perfect to relax. Loved my room, very comfortable, on the top floor with a great view to the ocean. Staff was very friendly, made me feel at home, hard to leave.

Review 34:Bath was too small. Owner hates pilgrims and made it very obvious thatwe weren´t welcome. We ididn´t get to use the jacuzzi/steam room, because when we asked, he told us we should have booked 2 hrs inadvance. Left in disgust, next morning without breakfast. Horrible man.

Review 35:The bed and the view from bedroom

Review 36:Breakfast was average, bread was hard and cereal was stale Limited english, but besides that was quite abrupt at the reception, not so welcoming

Review 37:The room was as pictured in the photos, very spacious, clean and tidy The hotel itself was very nice

Review 38:Service a bit lagging probably due to slow winter time. Breakfast minimal.

Review 39:Decent hotel uphill from small town of Finisterra (the end of the world) Nice big garden, small pool and a nice comfortable room When I left I got a certificate stating that I had visited the end of the world

Review 40:The owner was rude, chastising guests in the lobby for taking too loudly at 8:30 at night. He seemed extremely stressed. The heater in my bathroom and one of the bathroom lights didn't work. It was up a very steep hill, and my room was on the third floor, but that is the price you pay for the excellent views.

Review 41:The hotel is beautiful, the room was nice and warm, bed was comfortable. Bathtub in bathroom was a plus.

Review 42:The staff at the hotel were rude, curt, unfriendly. We felt too afraid to ask for things because of the bad attitude.

Review 43:Being in Finisterre, finally. Gorgeous location.

Review 44:Missed dinner one night through poor communication and other night dinner was excellent but expensive.

Review 45:Central to harbour, surf beach and able to walk to the lighthouse as well as other places. Still 30minutes or so

Review 46:Out of hot water, unfriendly manager bordering on rudeness. Leaky in the rain. Poor lighting and dampness reminded me of a dungeon cellar. Only window opens to the bottom two feet of the street.

Review 47:Seclusion and breakfast is included. Nice yard. Had a hair dryer.

Review 48:Great location close to the beaches, very cosy rooms, amazing view, helpful staff, silence and nature. If you want to enjoy magic atmosphere of Fisterra it's the best solution.

Review 49:- Included breakfast was the poorest one we've ever had: coffee, milk, bread, couple cuts of old pie. Eggs/sausage/hamon/cheese is extra and 5 euro per position.- No AC, no kettle, no fridge - strong smell of old furniture - smallest TV ever

Review 50:Nice place with great sea view free parking quick wifi

Review 51:We were there for a week and got the same breakfast each day, with watery honey and stone hard bread (which changed to fresh one when we asked not to toast it); while the interior was quite attractive with white and stone walls, the normal rooms had only a roof window

Review 52:From the hotel you can reach a lovely beach and wild natural coast line in about 12 min by foot, and you can walk into the village on the other (bay) side in about the same time where you find several fish restaurants at the harbour

Review 53:No actual bar. The proprietor is happy to get you a drink but the prices are not advertised, so you take a risk on how much you will be charged. The approach to the hotel is extremely steep so take care not to burn out the clutch if you have a hire car!

Review 54:For us the location was great; on the hill midway between the town on east side of peninsula and superb beach on the west. Quiet, peaceful location with pleasant walk to beach and various walks to the southernmost tip. Pleasant garden with small swimming pool.

Review 55:Room on the top story has a lovely view of the ocean. Nice garden and delicious breakfast.

Review 56:The hotel's location is very good as are the views, the staff is friendly and attentive and the quality and full breakfast.

Review 57:very quiet and beautiful views

Review 58:the way leading to the hotel is a steep climb but worth it.

Review 59:a place I would definitely , peace and tranquility , it is ideal for rest.

Review 60:in my opinion nothing

Review 61:a truly beautiful serene location, views from the dining room , friendly atmosphere and exquisite

Review 62:hotel to rest and escape your mind , one of the most peaceful places I 've been .

Review 63:I was very comfortable , the decoration of the rural environment , peace and tranquility , is a good place for the end of the Camino de Santiago .

Review 64:The room is very comfortable and resting well because it is a very quiet, the breakfast is complete , quality and facilities are well maintained.

Review 65:The reception by the staff was friendly to someone who comes tired of the way, full breakfast and household products.

Review 66:Reception process was a bit abrupt and not so warm.

Review 67:Beautiful property; good breakfast; lovely views.

Review 68:All very nice!!

Review 69:Very quiet place in a beautiful landscape

Review 70:The room is very comfortable and friendly service

Review 71:Hotel estupendo

Review 72:room and breakfast is wonderful!

Review 73:Miserable owner

Review 74:Room Breakfast Bath

Review 75:Beautiful facility with a stunning view of the coast. Staff were very hospitable. Plus a very yummy breakfast!

Review 76:Staff busy

Review 77:Location, view and facilities excellent

Review 78:Ifyou are walking the Camino this hotel is up a very steep road past the town centre.

Review 79:Great hotel. Lots of character. Lovely place.

Review 80:It was a long walk uphill to the hotel, but once you got there, it was great view.

Review 81:Good signs showing how to get there from the village.

Review 82:Staff/ Owner takes rules extremely serious. A smile would help!

Review 83:Nice place to go to Finisterra!

Review 84:the location of the hotel is up on a heal, and it is too hard to walk down and back to the city center.

Review 85:the rooms were very nicely decotrated.

Review 86:Terrible breakfast, cold tea, stale bread, poor service.

Review 87:Wonderful Bath!

Review 88:Meals over priced and no one else eating dinner

Review 89:Location and the building

Review 90:It is not very clear when you book that the room on the ground floor is outside the main building and in front of a swimming pool.

Review 91:The view.

Review 92:Friendly staff, excellent room and amenities. Very pleased with our stay.

Review 93:An absolutely beautiful hotel with perfect views of the harbour. A great place to stay and relax after a long walk!!!

Review 94:breakfast is very basic and the price for any extra ridiculous i.e. fried eggs -10 euros

Review 95:location next to a lovely beach, pool, room was amazing

Review 96:nothing

Review 97:location; staff; views from the rooms

Review 98:The breakfast was ok, but not brilliant value for money.

Review 99:The view from our room was amazing, and the room was so peaceful and welcoming.

Review 100:Near beautiful bay Great located Vert friendly staff Lovely rooms and great food Good value for money

Review 101:Nothing

Review 102:Great view, fantastic place to rest and enjoy serious local gastronomy. Best location in town.

Review 103:Had to pay to use the spa.. I assumed it would be in price. Breakfast ordering was slightly confusing. The basic was included in price and the three other options weren't. They way it was communicated I got the impression it was the finnestre breakfast that was included. To sum up there is a lot of extra costs if your not careful.

Review 104:The room, bed very comfy, the view, Good views saw a beautiful sunset from the window. Staff helpful, friendly.

Review 105:-breakfast!! cold coffee, a bit of marmalade, and 3 tosts. - I had to wait for my room, even I arrived at the hotel long after he started my stay.

Review 106:- view - room and bathroom

Review 107:Breakfast was poor especially the lukewarm tea and disappearing staff at that point. Need to make a hot cup of tea at the very least!!!

Review 108:staff very helpful when we were stuck in town late at night they came to collect us Thanks

Review 109:The spa facilities were rediculoulsy priced and everything, such as breakfast on the terrace evoked an extra charge, not user friendly.

Review 110:Our room had a big bath tub in a big bathroom with a heated towel rail, very nice for Camino walkers.

Review 111:Spa limited and very expensive.

Review 112:Great rooms with views of the sea. Helpful owner who gave us a certificate for staying in the westernmost point of Spain!

Review 113:I used the spa and the water in the jacuzzi was only lukewarm and I was not provided a towel.

Review 114:Really enjoyed the delicious breakfast of traditional Galician pastries and the filloas prepared by Rosa. The staff was also really helpful and friendly. I loved the views from the Spa, so beautiful.

Review 115:No WiFi in rooms and lobby/library very loud all the time so impossibleto use wifi there without getting a headache. Ceiling in 85% ofroom/bath less than 5 ft in height: only space I could stand up (I am5'5") was 2 ft path on one side of bed and the shower. Ceiling overtoilet less than 6 ft. No window. Had to climb over two arm chairs andcrib stored in hall to get to room. Cold showers (@ 600, 1200, and2000). cafe/bar but serves no food or drink during the advertised openhours when I asked, but served male guests outside of open hours--DO notgo here if you are a female traveling alone! At each complaint theirsolution was just shrugging their shoulders. 20-30 min walk to food andreturn is up steep hill. 40 min walk to lighthouse if you walk quickly.Other hotels closer, better view, wifi--skip this place.

Review 116:The woman who owns this is nice but that doesn't make up for the lack ofhonesty in advertising and the deplorable room

Review 117:We could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and the heater did not suffieciently warm up the large room.

Review 118:The staff is friendly and helpful. Also, the hotel is set on the hillside and has an amazing view of the water and countryside. The breakfast is quite good and ample for only four euros.

Review 119:Nice location, great dinner.

Review 120:The service, whilst obliging, felt impersonal & disinterested.

Review 121:The view of the coastline. Good breakfast. Nice building and garden.

Review 122:The road to the hotel was a bit difficult to navigate.

Review 123:Wonderful attentive staff and excellent vistas!

Review 124:None

Review 125:A 5-star view. Good, convenient room. Wish we could stay longer.

Review 126:Staff super friendly and helpful. We even got a nice chat about the town and the people. Very good! Views from 1st stage are awesome!
