Review 1：the room that was offered to us was nothing like the photo we had booked. No widow, no shower door/curtain, dilapidated condition. After a number of complaints our room was reluctantly changed.
Review 2：The walls are extremely thin, bring earplugs if noise bothers you. That said, the night we were there, all the other guests were very quiet, we didn't have a problem.

Review 4：The worst possible experience from all the years I've been a Booking.com user: 1) the hostal is located on the 2nd floor of a building. You have to ring the bell so that someone opens the entrance door of the building, which sometimes took 5 minutes or more until someone bothered to do it. 2) there was a single employee for taking care of everything on the hostel!!! And by that I mean the same person for the reception, cleaning rooms and whatever other tasks that are supposed to be done in a hostel. 3) we arrived at 5pm and one of the booked rooms was still not clean and ready for us. I arrived at Lugo after trekking for 30km and that was really not good to know. Moreover, when I asked when the room was going to be ready, the (single) employee replied that she had no idea and that it was not her fault that the room was not ready. When I asked her to take care of our room ASAP, she turned her back on us saying that she wasn't going to stop cleaning rooms in another area of the hotel because she did not want to switch back and forth and that I had to wait. We eventually got our room ready about 1 hour after we arrived and although we contacted booking.com for some help on this issue, they (the hostel) couldn't care less about it. Booking suggested them to apply some kind of discount, but the (only) employee said she was not authorized to do it. 4) we specifically asked for non smoking rooms. Nonetheless, both booked rooms were stinking with a horrible cigar smell. 5) the bathtub sink was clogged and the bathtub protection panels were completely loose. 6) don't get fooled by the included breakfast. It is served on a café in front of the hostel and consists of a hot drink (milk, coffee, etc) and a toast or some bakery. Never again!

Review 6：As pilgrims we needed to do some route planning as decided to use the lobby area since it has numerous tables. The very passive aggressive cleaning person decided to keep turning up the music on the TV until we had to leave the area when we couldn't even hear each other talk. Very bad.
Review 7：The location. The staff were happy to allocate my room, even though I arrived much earlier than the official check-in time. Very spacious and adequately furnished - given the price.
Review 8：Accommodation is very basic, and walls are thin so there is minimal sound proofing. It could certainly use some upkeep and updating.

Review 10：The host wasn't kind. I took a single room and in the toilet room there was no space to move!! The sink was just over the toilet which was very next to the shower. The bed was maybe clean but a lot of stains on the sheets. And the last think is the smell of the lemon aconomica all over the place.

Review 12：The walls are paper thin (you can hear EVERYTHING), there's no wifi, the rooms and bathrooms are tiny, the bathrooms are not overly big (I'm small and I couldn't get the shower door closed when I was inside), there wasn't a light over our shower, there's only an overhead white light in the room, when you opened the window the smell from the courtyard below was awful, the breakfast is one croissant / piece of cake and a tea / coffee across the road

Review 44：This is not a three star hotel. The owner looked horrified when we opened our English speaking mouths. The room was very basic. Very poor lighting and light bulbs gone. The ancient TV didn't work and we had to close the window to block out the smell of sewage and the sound of plumbing. It was one of those places you do not have good memories of and it coloured our experience of Lugo. On the plus side we did get a free breakfast in their cafe across the road and the girl serving us was very nice to us.
