Hotel whala!beach sells fast on our site. On Mallorca’s Arenal Beach, 800 feet from Arenal Marina, whala!beach features a rooftop terrace with beach views and a seasonal outdoor pool. There is also a seasonal indoor pool and sauna.
The air-conditioned rooms include a satellite TV and a balcony. Some rooms offer sea or street views and some are interior-facing. All rooms have a private bathroom with a hairdryer.
Breakfast is available at whala!beach, as well as a buffet restaurant and a bar.

Review 1：- No cleaning service during one week: wet towels - Cold water in indoor swimming pool - 1st room: smelt of sewage 2nd room: smelt of cigarettes. - Charged for internet for ONE device: €40 a week or €10 a day. Quite shocking how a hotel doesn't have free wifi in 2015 - Rooms did not look like in pictures, very basic, simple, walls were dirty. No sea view. For 4 people, we only received 2 duvets. - During dinner, you had to pay for drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic). For breakfast it was free - Deposit of €10 for the TV remote - A lot of mosquitos - Apartment room (our 1st room): shower didn't work, fridge was broken, separate building from the main hotel, uncomfortable mattresses, hotel didn't provide any shower gel etc. but my mother received it all, very loud noise from the street (cars, buses etc.): my wife couldn't sleep at all - 2nd room: horrible smell of cigarettes, the smell didn't go away after we bought air fresheners and candles, the door lock was broken but was fixed the next day, we didn't have clean towels for an entire week!! We complained to the reception but nothing was done.

Review 2：- The food was nice but boring, everyday we had the same food: chips, fish, ice cream etc. Payed €13 for one day (one person), breakfast + dinner - Easy and quick decision for room change due to bad smell - Very nice smell just in the reception - There were 4 swimming pools: 1 indoor, 1 outdoor, on the terrace: 1 for children and 1 'big' pool - Good location: very close to the beach

Review 3：Very friendly staff, good price for the buffet and you can use the local transportation to go to the airport, city, aquarium, etc. Buses fares are cheap.

Review 4：Staff very unhelpful was there due to an emergency my mother had a heart attack whilst on holiday so wasn't sure how long stay was studio room was dirty and cramped they eventually agreed to move us. But charged us twice for all inclusive food

Review 5：Do not trust in photos!!! We booked one bedroom apartment for 4 people,in photos it's seemed large and comfortable, with dining area, restarea and one bedroom, We got something different: one bed was directlyin front of entrance and toilet doors, in our dining area was chairsonly for 3 persons, 4 person sat on couch (which was also bed). Thatsmean there was no space for fourth chair. Bedroom doors we could closeuntil one of beds we moved aslant. Swimming pool was half empty. Afterthat we went to reception and asked for other apartment, we got ananswer - you are paying only 11 euros per night per person... (Thatsall, I didn't know what to answer). Man in reception was quite rude.About 11 euros - I'm quite confident, that hotel gave the price andit's not my business how much or little money I pay, but if hotelpost their photos, then thats mean that I will get something like that.But this time, photos was far away from reality!!! So be careful withthis hotel!!!

Review 7：The reception was very friendly and patient. A man taught me how to say "Ich brauche Briefmarken für die Postkarte" in spanish. A girl can speak good german and english. The location was great.

Review 8：I came with the group of people to do yoga and Pilates on the beach. My guests left very happy, had a good rest, they did like the beds and pillows, had a good night sleep, the food was good, staff friendly, the reception area was really beautiful and stylish, always had a nice smell. Review 9：It's unthinkable that an hotel does not have free WiFi, in 2015. The room should be cleaned everyday, instead of being cleaned once in a week. The bedroom sheets were old and used.

Review 10：The persons who worked at the hotel were very nice. The location was very good, near to the beach.

Review 15：i was kept awake every night by drunk teenagers until sometimes as late as 7am in the morning. the hotel took no accountability for this, nor control over it. this happened every night ! i think you should warn guests before they book that this is a "teenagers backpackers party hostel/hotel" so to speak. i would never have booked to stay here had i known ... i'm a 40 year old business woman from cape town south africa on a business trip ! i was incredibly dissapointed to be kept awake every night by drugged drunk party teenagers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review 16：First day we got small and old furnitured room, which doesn´t mach with pictures at booking.com...room didn´t respond the price. After we complained at the reception, we got adequate room in the newer part of the hotel. Young Germans did every night noise in the rooms, drinking, shouting, play music loudly, banging doors during whole night, it was impossible to sleep in peace. After a complaint at the reception, nothing happened.

Review 17：Location. Near the beach, bars, restaurants, shops. Some rooms have views of the sea, breathtaking views of the bay from the rooftop terrace of the pool.

Review 18：Large groups of Spanish teenagers were very noisy at night and spent two whole nights drinking and shouting in front of the hotel until 7am. Small lift.

Review 19：Most of the staff were friendly. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of variety. Great views from the balcony. Really close to the beach and plenty of restaurants.

Review 20：Nothing is updated. need to pay too much for wifi and even beed to pay a deposit for a TV remote. Hotel is full of teenagers that do not respect others privacy. Cleaners never replaced shampoo and shower gel.

Review 28：The apartment was not cleaned once in the week we stayed. We had to argue about it. The walls where thin even the appartment was high up. So if you look for solitude and sleep not the best hotel for that. The wiew was amazing. Breakfast tasted rubbery but the fruits were good.

Review 42：The hotel was indeed refreshed but only superficially and looks much better on photos than in reality. You need to pay in advance otherwise you do not get the keys! For drinks you can pay cash only. Wifi is expensive. Beds are terrible. Walls are so thin that you hear all the neighbours talks and the type of travellers that come to this hotel are quite noisy (lots of young people) so you will not rest much, even out of high season. All in all this was a great bargain for the price we paid but would not come back again...

Review 43：Location is great, breakfast food was quite monotonous but dinners were pretty good for 3* hotel (every night fish and even seafood). Because we missed dinner due to late arrival we had a snack left in our room. Friendly staff and very helpful.

Review 48：The room service is terrible. We was there for four nights and only in one morning at 8. (some peoples are sleeping on their vocations at this time) Room service come to clean the room and to change a towels. So for these four nights we have no room service at all. We had to take towels form room service stroller which stand near our room all these days.We were 4 persons so at the end of the journey we had about 25 towels in our room. In our room was a little kitchen so I think she needs a maintenance. But we don't use them so I can't say something it's works or not.

Review 49：Location is really good. The beach is 30 m, the main district is on 10 m, very easy to go to Palma or airport. I can't say that it was very noisy because our neighbors was a couple old German lady's.

Review 50：i didnt liked , that u must pay everythere for everythink, internet for day 10 euros, its nonsence, in other places its for free, and people in reception was not so nice -just in the end when they taked the key. Review 52：The room was dirty and run down, the hotel beyond the lobby was old andrun down and dirty. The fact they charge 10$/day for each device forwifi is insulting. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly when wecame in to look at the hotel but once we booked it on line and not withhim he was very grumpy and not helpful almost like he resented us forbooking on line ( which was cheaper) than directly with him. We asked toswitch rooms and were willing to pay much more for a view of the oceanbut he would have none of that since we booked on line. We had manyheavy items of luggage and no one would help us up the 2 flights ofstairs to an elevator that took us to our room. Our room had a view of agrubby house roof top and an old dirty pool of another hotel. All in allthe hotel was pretty grubby but the location was great. We could getfree wifi at the cafe del sol just down the block while drinking a veryinexpensive sangria.

Review 53：The lobby was clean and looked very professional. The shower had greatpressure and was hot. We got a room with a kitchen for two nights for 96euros but it didn't include breakfast. If we booked at the lobby wecould get a room only for 25euros ( 100 euros total ) each per night butdid include breakfast.

Review 54：Accommodation doesn't resemble the pictures. Very basic & dirty corridors. Maid services apartments only on Saturday & Tuesday so had to use same towels for four days & had four days worth of rubbish piling up. Very noisy hotel & guests at time of my stay.

Put in wrong room to start with one that had obviously been doneup if apartment done up like that we'd be very happy to stay thereagain in fact would do anyway.

No food available at lunch/snacks unless you were All-inclusive, as we were half board we had to go out to the supermarket and bring back our food to eat on the terrace, crazy!!!!! Some reception staff not so helpful, other very good. Frustrating when you got the bad ones. No information on local restaurants/attractions. Food not so good, layout of buffet disorganised and very hot. Restaurant seating area very stuffy and unpleasant. Could not linger over meals, air conditioning switched on totally at random. Paying for wifi, these days you expect for free. Paying for safe in room, happy to pay deposit for key but do not expect to be charged by the day to use. Lounge area very clinical, quite often hot and stuffy, decor and chairs all white, like a hospital.

Review 115：TV was not in order. After seven days of complaining I was offered a new room. But not before the next day... I had all inclusive. In the bar I got beer and Pepsi in paper glass. Why? If it is to separate the guests, drinks should be given in glass of plastic. Put up signs from elevator to the buffet. Miss a sign or ten showing stairs, in case of fire.... Carpet from elevator to buffet was full of spot.

Review 124：The long walk to the lift was filthy. The smell of paint in the room gave my wife headaches daily. The food was awful, I didn't mind the breakfast but my wife couldn't eat anything. The supposed cold meats were warmer than the hot meats. The choice was very bad and we were forced to pay €2 for a bottle of water to have with whatever we could manage to eat for dinner. The staff didn't seem to care and disregarded us everytime we spoke to them. Total waste of money paying for half board.

Review 134：This hotel was the worse '3 star' hotel I have ever been. I have my doubts if this hotel can be called 3 star. First: You have to pay for the wifi which is very expensive. Second: On the website they advertised as having a gym but when you check for it they say the gym is 500 metres away and also you have to pay to use the gym. Third: This hotel have only one small social lift which take ages to come and if 5 people gets inside it it does not move at all so you have to wait again.Fourth: Its been advertised that there is a sauna but it was closed and the indoor pool was very dirty. Finally: there is no car parking and if you rent a car we have to spend one hour or so to find a space in the street which can sometimes be far away from the hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
