Review 1：Absolutely stunning place! Perfect location, million hiking trails around, breathtaking view, super clean, new and cosy apartment, good wifi, amazing host Karin - attentive and very helpful. By the way Karin has a very very good restaurant Mamma Luccia with outstanding pasta and decent prices (especially sea food pasta, and pasta with crab meat!). 100% recommended! Would definitely come back!

Review 6：We loved everything about this property. We had a beautiful view from our two terraces. The apartment was beautifully prepared for our stay - fresh flowers and chocolates, rugs on the couch for staying cosy, a few treats in the fridge - beer, water, juice. We felt at home from the minute we arrived.

Review 7：Ever since I was a teenager, I had wanted to experience the pleasure of having good Darjeeling tea on a lawn overlooking a Himalayan peak. In a way, a somewhat similar experience I could have having tea with my wife in a little balcony of Schweigart Apartment number 5, looking at the massive Kerwendel mountain.The Apartments have already received raving reviews; indeed our choice was based on these. We were not disappointed. Apartment 5 was on the top floor of the second building, behind Karen’s home. It had three small verandas adjacent two bedrooms and one adjacent to the kitchen. The rooms were on the east and west sides and the bath (well ventilated) and kitchen in between. If one opened the doors of the bedrooms to the balconies, the cross ventilation was very welcome; indeed we had to since Mittenwald had become very hot during our stay.The décor, beds, towels and the kitchen facilities were excellent and we four had a wonderful rest after miles of walk along the mountain trails as well as in the small town. Schweigart Apartment to the heart of the town was no more than 5 minutes by foot, yet the immediate neighbourhood was very quiet.The town was picturesque and my son and daughter in law could not have enough of photo opportunities. Their best shots were late at night of the reflections of the closed shop windows after a shower, along the mountain trails, at lakes Lautersee, Fersenzee and Lentel waterfall, and at the small cemetery nearby when the dark clouds were playing with the sun over the Kerwendel mountains.Karin was very friendly and was always available in the mornings to suggest experiences for us. At the outset, she arranged four ‘Guest cards’ that enabled us to go up a ski lift and avail free bus rides to a small village Krun (we saw a table in front of the Information Centre displaying a copy of the cooperation document that President Obama had recently signed with Ms Angela Merkel).

The bathroom and kitchen facilities were all very modern and exceptionally clean which we highly value. The views of the Alps from the deck are amazing.

The apartment was a short walk to town on a quiet street. Karin was very helpful and we had some treat conversations. We really enjoyed our four night stay.

Review 21：My wife and I stayed four nights at Haus Schweigart in September 2014. We were in the top floor one bedroom apartment. We enjoyed having the kitchen and dining area separated from the bedroom, and the views from the terrace were excellent. The location of the house is ideal (only a 5-minute walk from the center of town and very close to the Kranzberg lift and trails). Superb hiking. And dinner at Da Mamma Lucia was excellent. We highly recommend this property.

Review 25：We stayed in an apartment upstairs and the apartment had everything we needed. The mountain views from the balconies off the living and bed rooms were stunning and the balconies were great extra rooms to read and either sunbathe or watch the thunder storms roll by. The location is very quiet even though it is so conveniently located within a few minutes walk of Mittenwald town centre and the train station - with a great variety of mountain, lakeside and valley walks all around. The owner, Karin, is very friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to stay and we'd thoroughly recommend Haus Schweigart to our friends.

Review 47：Our stay here was amazing. We were here for 3 nights in mid-May 2014. Great apartment. The view of the mountains from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking. The place was clean and well decorated. We had fresh flowers on our dining room table. The Wi-Fi signal was very good. The kitchen was very practical. Our host (Karen) was friendly and welcoming; she suggested different places to visit in the area. There is a trail about 5 minutes away to the west that follows small waterfalls and leads to a stunning lake (Lautersee), it's very romantic. You can also take a ski-lift (about 7-8 minutes walk from the hotel going north-west) for free with a coupon that Karen can give you, it's well worth it. It is well located, 10 minutes away from the train station and close to restaurants and shops. There is also a nearby grocery store. One of my favourite places to visit in Europe, we strongly recommend it!

Review 48：In almost 50 years of world travel, we have seldom met a more engaging, thoughtful and accommodating inn keeper as Karin Notz. Her refurbished apartments are wonderful...we stayed 4 days in number four which has a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed. We did not utilize the kitchen; however, you could cook meals and everything is included. There is room for parking on site and you are within walking distance of the town. This was our first stay in Mittenwald. In the past we have stayed in Garmisch, Fussen and Innsbruck. Mittenwald is much smaller than the previous three and much more delightful. It would remind you of a movie set ideally small to walk, dine and shop. Karin and her hubby, an Italian chef, own a fabulous Italian restaurant in town. We ate there twice and you can find our review under restaurants in Mittenwald. Incredibly good Italian food. A WONDERFUL TIME, WHICH INCLUDED EVERY ASPECT FOR A GREAT STAY!

Karin was absolutely fantastic - she made us feel very welcome and made sure that we felt at home. This apartment in this town is a gem and should be considered by anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in this region. We did day trips to the Zugspitze and Innsbruck and had a wonderful time. When we arrived the apartment was clean and there were nice little touches like fresh flowers, chocolates and water and Bavarian beer in the fridge. The view from the balcony is amazing and the location is perfect as the we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see in Mittenwald. I always try to experience different places and stay in different accommodation but if I ever went back to Mittenwald I would definitely want to stay here.

Review 71：- The heater was centrally controlled and was not warm enough on the first night. Could not turn warmer because of its own limitation. We wore warmer clothing and its ok the following nights. - Need to learn to separate the wastes - organic and unorganic ..a bit of trouble for people from countries without such concepts. We managed to do so but could not find the disposal bins in the backyard when we checked out. Sorry to leave the bags of garbage behind for follow up. - Location of the apartment is a bit difficult to find because they all look similar and are lying in small streets without much light expecially during the night. So, bring your own torch if you want to return in late night.

Review 72：-Very lovely apartment. We got a room on the 2/F with windows facing the mountain side. Landlady was kind enough to drive us back from the train station when we were worried about the location. she even prepared fresh flowers for our dining room and offered complimentary drinks in the fridge for us ( a lot ...from beer to juicies). The kitchenette was complete and useful. It is like a home.

Review 74：This summer, we came to Haus Schweigart for the second time and we had a fantastic week – the best of our vacation. Karen was absolutely marvellous as we expected. She helped us with any touristic details and information about the region. The centre of town, Mama Lucia restaurant and REWE are very close. We enjoyed several excellent dinners at Mama Lucia – everything was delicious. Saltimbocca, pizza, cotoletta milanese and all anipasti are like in Rome. Mittenwald is a special Bavarian town, not very far from GaPa or Innsbruck and Haus Schweigart is the best location we had in Bavaria in the last 10 years.

Review 75：An exceptionally kind and friendly atmosphere maintained by Karin, who really makes her best for her guests so that they feel they are staying with good friends.

Review 76：Not so much a dislike as a caution to others. If you plan on doing a lot of cooking you may find the facilities a bit lacking. The entire kitchen (range, fridge, prep area and sink) is only 48" wide (the sink is a single 9" wide sink, the fridge is an under the counter unit under the range, and the range is only 2 burners). It was fine for us as we only did breakfasts and snacks there, but if you were planning on cooking meals it's a bit limiting!

Haus Schweigart is in Mittenwald, the most wonderful mountain location, and the apartments within this very beautifully kept house, which is owned by Karin Notz, are a joy to stay in. They are spacious, spotlessly clean, exceptionally well equiped and extremely comfortable; and in spite of the weather being very cold during our recent visit, our apartment was very comfortably warm at all times. Karin herself is very cheerful and most welcoming, and she was always keen to ensure that everything could be done to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible; to her credit, she manages to achieve this without being at all intrusive. We don't think that we could find holiday accommodation any better than Haus Schweigart, and consequently we have already booked to stay there with Karin for this coming Christmas, something we are looking forward to very much indeed.

Review 90：The apartment is in a traditional Bavarian house yet is well appointed and there were stunning views of the mountains from the windows and balcony. Karin is a great host and always ready to answer queries. The house is a very short walk to lovely walks and close to the shops and restaurants in Mittenwald. Review 93：The weather was not really a winter-like due to a heat wave, but it wascertainly beyond Frau Notz's control! Really can't findanything negative about the appartment. If you are looking for a wildpartying or adrenaline skiing Mittenwald is not for you, but otherwiseit has a lot more charm than nearby GaPa or Seefeld. Just make surethat you check opening times of the restaurants before hitting theclosed doors - people eat there around 13 and 19 o'clock and not atMcD's 24/7.
