This charming, family-run hotel is in the center of Vielha, just a short drive from Baqueria Beret ski resort, and is ideal for a relaxing skiing vacation.
After breakfast in the morning, you can head out to the nearby ski slopes from Albares. In the summer, you can go trekking in the beautiful surrounding mountains.
Return to Albares in the evening and do some light exercise in the on-site gym, before going for a relaxation session in the sauna.
In the evening, unwind with a drink in the bar or enjoy a read in the lounge area. There is also a game room, where you can keep the little ones entertained.

Review 1：The room was small and the bed was too soft.

Review 2：Wonderful location at a hill overlooking the countryside. Charming little village. Views of the mist rising in the morning.

Review 3：very nice decorated and clean rooms right in the center of the town. great breakfast. the staff was so nice and helped us with everything we needed. we had to leave early before breakfast time so they opened breakfast earlier. great hotel!

Review 4：The Hotel Albares is excellent in every respect. The welcome is warm and friendly. The hotel is located on a pretty square in the centre of town. Despite this, parking is not a problem, as there is free parking just round the corner. My room was comfortable, well-heated and very pleasant. Good breakfast selection and freshly made coffee.

Review 5：Wifi is not working, other hotels in the village have very good Wifi. No soundsproofing at all, you hear your neighbors speak and flushing the toilet. The rooms needs to be updated, very old. I do not understand the rating of this hotel that it got so good, choose another hotel. We stayed at other hotels in the village and they are much better (at the same price point).

Review 9：The hotel is situated in the center of the town, very near to just everything a tourist wish to see and explore by feet. The parking is free and very near. The hotel owner and staff are exceptionaly helpfull and friendly. Breakfast is great. Everything is well maintained. I would wholeheartedly recommend this excellent hotel

Review 11：We received a very warm welcome & the woman who runs the hotel was really kind and helpful. For example, we had to take a bus to Barcelona on the morning that we left and she walked us almost to the bus stop. That was so nice and much appreciated. The breakfast was great, with a large selection, including fresh fruit. The location of the hotel is also great; although we were only there one night, this looked like the best location in the village, in a lovely pedestrianised square.

Review 33：This is an excellent hotel. It is situated in a pretty pedestrianized square in the centre of town, close to half a dozen tapas bars. Free parking is readily available just around the corner. The owners could not be any more friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-decorated.

Review 36：Hotel Albares is tucked into a popular plaza in downtown Vielha. TheAranese family who owns the establishment (and lives there) is warm andwelcoming and does their very best to make you feel like you've beeninvited as a guest into their home as opposed to just renting a hotelroom. This facilitates not only intimate interaction with them and theirspace but with other guests as well — it feels like one big family! TheInternet is fast but only works well in the lobby, although, like Isaid, given the atmosphere of the establishment that the ownersfacilitate, it feels more like a living room than a lobby. Vielha, andthe surrounding Aran Valley of which it is the capital, are worthvisiting for anyone interested in nature, mountains, and Europeanculture. The towns are a whimsical blend of old Romanesque and Pyrenean(which feels a lot like Alpine) architecture, the skiing, hiking and mountain-biking is sensational, and the local language, Aranese, feels like ablend of French and Catalan. Go!!

Review 40：Well located in Vielha. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Very goodvalue for money and very clean and comfortable. The lady owner was verypleasant and helpful, although I don't believe she speaks English (not aproblem for us as we speak Castillian and French).
