Reviews for Hôtel La Petite Auberge
Review 1:No sound isolation, very noisy in the morning, free WiFi didn't work/was very slow, water in the shower was only lukewarm on arrival
Review 2:Friendly reception, secure room for bicycle, good location, shops and restaurants in walking distance
Review 3:no sound insulation no lift (could help when loaded with many luggages) Rooms were far too hot, and difficult to turn the heater off.
Review 4:free car park available nice situation in the city nice old hotel and architecture friendly host Good breafkfast
Review 5:inside retro-plushy floor, room with 1st generation brown wallpaper (1950s?), saggy mattress massive sink in the middle (room #9). the electric 'jet' system at all toilets is loud and we also got notice when neighboring rooms finished their business (at night). why the housekeeping tried to enter our room at 8a30 to clean our room? 8a30? probably strict breakfast time was 8a which we didn't used. okay, it is one star, but rooms don't have to be ancient and interior should be maintained. for that price you can get better sleeping in germany (we don't expect comfort and 5 stars, but maintenance) well, other guest were at least retired and seem to feel happy with the outdated apperance.
Review 6:appereance from outside. short, but nicht welcome.
Review 7:Everything else. The padded cell's were fitted out around 50 years ago and have not seen even a lick of paint since then. The blanket on the bed made me feel almost sick - it was that horrible and old. No restaurant No breakfast unless you like burnt toast Almost no staff The bathroom was filthy
Review 8:The location and Luchon The parking
Review 9:Not a brilliant room, but very cheap by UK standards.
Review 10:The hotel is in an excellent central location for visiting this interesting spa town, twinned with Harrogate, and the surrounding countryside. Good, off-road parking in front of the hotel.
Review 11:Not been painted or decorated for many many years ( 30?) and judging by the cobwebs in our room, not cleaned for quite some time either. Bathroom fittings falling apart. Darent eat anything there and couldnt wait to leave
Review 12:A fantastic building, you think you are going to stay in a Chateau and exterior. A wonderful old building. Clean sheets on the bed, bathroom fairly clean. Very cheap but would rather pay more and have a better quality room.
Review 13:The room and bathroom were tight for space and grubby. Even hotels which are cheap to stay in should be clean! The breakfast was pricey at £6.50. The restaurant was not available to our party - and yet I swear it was not fully booked.
Review 14:The architecture - an old manor house, the gated parking
Review 15:This place could be charming if it was totally updated and renovated. Itis an old building in need of a fresh coat of paint. No ac and no WiFi.Shoddy would describe this place. Flushing the toilet produced a soundsimilar to a jet take-off...twice for each flush. Neighboring rooms werequite audible throughout the night. The shower was not large enough toturn around. A small bar of soap was provided, not"toiletries". Breakfast was sparse. The beds/mattresseswere thin and uncomfortable. The owner overcharged us at checkout. WhenI pointed out the amount for the room in the reservation, he becameagitated and yelled at me, saying the rate had just gone up! When Iprotested, he disappeared for a few moments, only to return and throw afew coins on the counter. This was obstensibly a refund, but itdidn't cover the differential. A very unpleasant experience, to saythe least.
Review 16:Nothing!
Review 17:Hotel is quite old, no renovations made. No possibility to handle reservation in english.
Review 18:Close to main street, but hotel is in quite small village.
Review 19:The view of the mountains from our window and the quietness of the hotel and surrounding area.
Review 20:No evening meal available. Breakfast breads left out overnight.
Review 21:Everything else.
Review 22:Location
Review 23:Good location, close to town. Very French looking and good value for money
Review 24:on arrival I was told I did not have a booking. Showed him my confirmation then he decided I did have a reservation
Review 25:Suited my needs very well
Review 26:it was cheap and convenient. just don't expect a 3 or 4 star hotel.
Review 27:The room was dated with a small shower which had to be held by hand, the light was above the hand basin which had a shelf above the mirror which made it difficult to see whilst shaving. After driving for 10 hours I arrived to be told the dining room closed at 19:30 and therefore I had to venture the short distance into town to find food and drink. Breakfast consisted of one small piece of bread and one croissant flies were landing on the food at other tables.
Review 28:Close to town centre.
Review 29:We chose this hotel primarily for the secure parking. It is only a one-star rating and levels of comfort are appropriate. It is a lovely building architecturally and merits investment for modernisation and upgrading. The rooms are seriously outdated, there is no lift, soom rooms are not en suite. Breakfast is very basic. The Wifi did not work well.
Review 30:The location, close to the town centre and access to the ski slopes. The free private parking. Staff - principally the owner and his wife were friendly and helpful.
Review 31:Design and ambiance a little "old", but shouldn't be a criterion as it is perfectly located and pretty cheap.
Review 32:Decent hotel, excellent value for money, perfectly located, comfortable.
Review 33:Bed uncomfortable Hand held shower No wifi in bedroom and could not connect in public spaces
Review 34:Hotel is just off the centre of the town, close, easy access to the town centre and skiing Friendly and helpful Price Resort
Review 35:Nothing
Review 36:Comfortable and friendly. Close to the main part of town
Review 37:Breakfast was not OK, hotel needs some updating, no elevator available
Review 38:Central location, parking in front of the hotel
