Reviews for Hotel Bichlerhof
Review 1:The room was very small. It was hard to get around without bumping into each other. That made it uncomfortable for us.
Review 2:We liked the view from the room. Lovely mountain. Nice balcony. Breakfast was nice. Staff was helpful.
Review 3:The Hotel Bicherlof was a great typical German mountain town hotel. Specifically, that meant a very friendly staff, great breakfast and dinner, charming traditional decor and natural wood details, cozy rooms, and great views from our private balcony. Note that if you read "cozy" to also mean small, that would be accurate, but we loved it. The hotel has remodeled their basement to include a sauna, pool, and jacuzzi, which we found very convenient. We would gladly stay there again.
Review 4:The lightning in the room is too weak for reading (if you don't read an e-book). The dining room was small, but it was very cozy.
Review 5:The staff was very helpful, the breakfast excellent. The location could'nt be better: near the services and the pedestrian area. The decorations in public grouds are pretty. The hard mattress is suitable for me.
Review 6:The hot tub was not worth the time, 5 euro or effort to get it set up. It really detracted from an otherwise nice pool and sauna facility.
Review 7:Very traditional with great ambiance.
Review 8:Mittenwald is soooo beautiful!!!! The area, the little town and all the things you can do there, winter or summer. A trip up the Karwendelbahn is a must, the Violin Museum and the Obermarkt with the beautiful paintings on the buildings.
Review 9:Our booking .com reservation was placed at 1700 however we were unable to get in. A guest opened the door for us. We had two nice people help us contact the owners. Eventually we had our rooms. Accommodations were very nice and clean. Friendly staff once we saw them. Excellent breakfast.
Review 10:Just a minor issue, the pillows. Were just not use to flat feathered pillows. But besides this one little thing I would still definitely recommend this hotel! :)
Review 11:We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were always happy and helpful and welcomed you at breakfast with a smile which was lovely. Breakfast was delicious with variety. Located a very short walk from the main town and other attractions and station.
Review 12:Artificial flowers in room. They need to specify pet and non pet rooms due to fact that sone guests have allergies.
Review 13:Very helpful! The owner went out way out of her way to make sure we had a great visit.
Review 14:The heavy keys Small bathroom - very difficult to get ready in. No outlets available outside of the bathroom
Review 15:The views of the Alps Carolina was so sweet and helpful! The breakfast was amazing! The hotel was easy to find and in a good location
Review 16:No negative memories
Review 17:Overall all was very good thanks to the owners. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Very close to city center, all furniture, line and the guest house in very good condition with great touch of antiquated decors.
Review 18:Nothing!
Review 19:We came in at 11 pm and were able to easily find the hotel with the directions we had been given. Room was very adequate, and bathroom very efficiently laid out. Breakfast was also very ample. Bed was comfortable.
Review 20:Hotel Bichlerhof is a good place to stay - everything was clean, staff was very friendly (despite being VERY busy). The town center is a short walk away (other reviews seem to make it sound like a trek - it's at most 5 minutes...) and is a nice, though touristy place, which was actually nice after a week+ in "real" small towns in rural Austria that didn't have a fraction of the dining and shopping facilities as Mittenwald (not that I'm complaining about the other towns - they were great and we loved the Zugspitze Arena and Hohe Tauern - it was just nice to have more than a couple of places to choose from for a night).
Review 21:breakfast room a bit tight, but breakfast is great
Review 22:great location, very friendly and helpful
Review 23:Excellent base for walking holiday. Quiet. Breakfast more than adequate.
Review 24:Great location and great staff. Cozy and friendly atmosphere. Loved the swimming pool and the view from the balcony.
Review 25:The bathroom had a bad smell
Review 26:The location was ideal
Review 27:- Hot tub was small and tepid
Review 28:- Friendly staff - Excellent breakfast - Sauna and pool very nice
Review 29:Not far from the shopping area.
Review 30:Very friendly owners and staff. Nice sauna.
Review 31:The snow ☺
Review 32:Helpful,friendly,clean,comfortable...a fine breakfast buffet. Simply faultless.
Review 33:No wifi in room
Review 34:Closeness to Old City
Review 35:Helpful staff, breakfast was good, swimmingpool and spa
Review 36:Breakfast was OK. It would be nice if it was kept up until the close of breakfast.
Review 37:We were surprised to receive even better accommodations than we booked and for the same price! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfectly located for walking to the Obermarkt and hiking. This was our 10th time visiting Mittenwald, and it was the best experience!
Review 38:The staff were helpful but I felt a bit disorganised and overly stretched (maybe understaffed ?)
Review 39:Excellent location, lovely pool and room was unexpectedly spacious with plenty of windows and a balcony overlooking mountain, which was an added bonus. Breakfast good also - I will return as the hotel was excellent value for money
Review 40:location quite far away from train station. arrived there at night. the way going there was all dark and very very quiet. advise lady travelling alone should check-in at day time.hence, pls note it's NOT 24 hours check in. room is ok but very small. no lift.
Review 41:nice staff. good wifi. old style guest house.
Review 42:The staff was super friendly. The room comfortable and clean and the sauna department good. Plus points that you can make a recervation without a creditcard number. That's safer when you make a reservation on a market place's hot spot area.
Review 43:The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing very wide choice of food. Spacious room (3 people) with a little balcony. Very close to Mittenwald centre.
Review 44:Everything was great.
Review 45:View from balcony of the Karwendel peak. Radiator heating that can be regulated (I was there in winter and sometimes old-fashioned is better). Pool and wellness facilities considering the price. Located very close to walking/shopping zone. Hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood and the rooms are well soundproofed (or my fellow guests were very quiet).
Review 46:It is difficult to climb the stairs with the luggage ant there is no lift.
Review 47:We went to Mittenwald with a group of friends and stayed at the Bichlerhoff which is close to the main restaurants and shops of the town. They gave us a very small room without window which they changed when we complained.
Review 48:The staff were friendly, helpful. The room was comfortable, with a lovely balcony. Breakfast selection was better than most. Very easy walk into center of town. Violin museum quite interesting. Would stay again.
Review 49:We could only dine in the hotel if we had made a reservation; but we had not.
Review 50:Were late for breakfast but if anything was missing we could ask for it. Good breakfast. Had apartment (no 123) instead of triple-room. Very spacious. Marvelous view on the mountains. Lovely village. Live music during diner in hotel. Also lots of live music in other restaurants (Tiroler music). Swimming pool nice, open from 7 am till 8 pm.
Review 51:The advertised spa is actually very limited. Many machines seemed to becoin-operated.Limited hours of front desk mean that visitors should be careful to anticipate what they need ahead of its closing. Some improvements could have been made to ensure check-in went smoothly - information of the staff members and access to the room.
Review 52:Fantastic location and perfect access to the mountains in Mittenvald. Awell-equipped hotel with a very nice breakfast and pleasant staff. Veryquiet in the evenings we were there - a great place to relax and preparefor a day of hiking. We had a truly stunning balcony with a view of themountain. We very much enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony.
Review 53:No English tv channels. Climbing stairs with luggage.
Review 54:Very scenic hotel and town. We liked the Alpine feel and views are spectacular. The food for breakfast was good. Parking was available and we had a balcony. All good.
Review 55:The lady who runs the hotel is amazing. She is so hardworking doingreception, serving breakfast etc. She even works at night at a localbeerhall/resturant and served us there too (it is very nice for foodand drinks). The hotel is very traditional, warm and welcoming. Niceview from our room with a balcony. Free parking and closer to town thanI thought (don't pay double the price for other hotels in the'centre' as this one is literally only 3 min walk as the town isvery small) I won't put any negative comments because we loved itthere but a couple of things to know - a triple room is quite cramped(but we didnt spend much time in there anyway so it didn't botherus). Also wifi only worked in the hall/stairway and breakfast area. The town itself is quiet, pretty and in an amazing location. You MUSt catch the cable car to the top of the alps... its insane! :)
Review 56:The hotel really needs updating. It is very "tattered" and worn. You must have reservations to eat dinner there and the kitchen closes at 7PM.
Review 57:It is very quaint and in a good location to get into the downtown area. Breakfast is good. The staff is friendly.
Review 58:The dining room and our hotel room were a bit cramped. The shower was not sealed so water could get everywhere.
Review 59:the staff was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Review 60:The room was a bit small but perfectly adequate and, had the weather been better, we had a balcony. The breakfast room was probably a bit small for the number of guests and we shared a table every morning.
Review 61:Location was good, close to town but quiet. The pool, sauna and gym looked excellent but we didn't use them as we were there for the walking.
Review 62:Everything was perfect. The room was charming and quiet clean and the breakfast offered at the hotel was great The best thing about Bichlerhof is the view from the balcony... Location is best and very good value for the money. Absolute will recommend to friends. They have their own parking, very good near hotel.
Review 63:Nothing bad to say.
Review 64:You can't beat the view from the patio. The staff was wonderful, helpful in every way. Breakfast was great. The hotel is in town but on the outskirts so driving in and out was easy, they have free parking and only a short, beautiful walk to the center of town and all the activities. If we go back to Mittenwald we will stay at the Hotel Bichlerhof.
Review 65:Extremely small shower. Could not turn around, water leaked out under door all over floor. Beds have footboards which are bad for tall people. Room cluttered with fake roses and other kitshy stuff that take up space and don't add anything. Lots of bad edges to bump into. dark, dreary poor lighting. No lift, no one to help with bags other than nice middle aged woman. Tight parking in lot required blocking other cars-- no parking allowed on street.
Review 66:Great location. good breakfast, nice balcony
Review 67:Excellent staff. We arrived early by train and by request via email ourrooms were ready when we arrived. Staff was very helpful in answeringany questions, bus stopped in front of hotel for Fussen and easytransfers to Luge and gondola.
Review 68:Room was a bit too small but very well done.
Review 69:Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Room was small but the room service was great. Breakfast facility was crowded but food was very good. Location was perfect by being off of the main street, but everything was a comfortable walk.
Review 70:I would like to see the room/hotel information found in the room to be in English. We were not able to determine if the hotel had a laundry service or what other services were available.
Review 71:Very convinent to downtown Mittenwald. Great breakfast in the hotel featuring a typical German fare. Our room was very large and comfortable. The balcony in our room had a very nice laundry drying rack. We also had 4 chickens in the area under our balcony. It was fun to watch them and nice to wake up to their clucks in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 72:The owners were warm, friendly and helpful. The hotel was immaculate and the rooms were large with a balcony. Large bathroom and shower. Free breakfast was very good. Dinner by reservation, also very good. This hotel was close to all nearby attractions. Must use a GPS to find it, up a winding mountain road. Beautiful. No internet, but who needs it when you are in a place like this.
Review 73:Wifi was a little troublesome
Review 74:Location
Review 75:Beautiful view. Nice, big, clean room. Good breakfast. Good car parking. I love this hotel.
Review 76:I loved our stay here! The staff was amazing and the food was wonderful! Best chicken soup ever!! Our view was amazing and we will stay here again!
Review 77:There are not enough places at breakfast for all the rooms. There is also no hot food served at breakfast. The hotel does need some updating.
Review 78:Exellen service
Review 79:Barbara lent me her sons bicycle as it was a holiday. Staff were very nice. It was a great German experience.
Review 80:nice staff, nice location, nice room and nice food.
Review 81:The staff is nice and helpful, recommended a great hiking path for us. Great location just near the town center.
