Reviews for Molino Del Santo
Review 1:We loved the relaxed atmosphere and vibe of the accommodation Lovely couple Mel and Gary who run it are really "chilled out." friendly people....Great value for money!....
Review 2:Internet was a bit hit and miss but not enough to cause a problem. You could always find somewhere on the premises with a signal.
Review 3:The location is beautiful and ideally placed to visit Ronda as well as the stunning local 'white villages'. The staff cannot do enough for you and the food is to die for. This was our first visit but we will be back
Review 4:The Molino staff was welcoming and assured us from across the Atlantic that everything would be perfect and ready for our late arrival. Our room was inviting and our table for dinner was set for whenever we freshened from travel. The hotel is small, quiet, very uniquely designed, and each room has a private patio joining the lush gardens. Small pathways wind you through gardens, fountains, and the beautiful pool side oasis to the excellent restaurant with a mountain river below, providing cool air for dining. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered many choices with great service. WISH WE COULD RETURN, there was so much to see in the area! The staff provided individual maps for many hidden trails through the mountains. Our favorite was the recommended trail which lead us to a cave that had a fall of beautiful water. We were quick to swim in the pool of COLD, but beautiful water below the fall. The maps and details of the walking, driving, and shopping helped us make the most of our limited time in the area. PLEASE VISIT, you will not be disappointed.
Review 5:Room 5's air conditioner sounded like a 747 taking off and wasn't all that effective
Review 6:Location was stunning. Very helpful staff. Very relaxed atmosphere although we felt slightly under pressure to keep our children quiet.
Review 7:It was totally different hotel than normal , so peaceful with a lovely mountain stream bubblying along . A nice pool to chill in , and the food was superb . Very enjoyable .
Review 8:Wonderful location to hike to Pileta Cave and visit white hill towns . Very pleasant staff and environment with great variety of meals, from sandwiches to tasting menu.
Review 9:We stayed in five hotels around the Grazalema park. The Molino Del Santo was the most expensive but still totally worth it. The food in the restaurant was especially good
Review 10:This was my second visit to Molino-everything was excellent again facilities, stuff, service, delicious food in the restaurant.Great place for relaxed stay for a couple of days.
Review 11:The derelict property on the approach to the hotel was somewhat depressing !.Otherwise we are looking forward to our next visit
Review 12:The clever design and setting of the hotel is unique. The paintings throughout the hotel were very pleasing . The food was up to what we expected and the service was most friendly and efficient.
Review 13:Very poor WiFi reception and speed.
Review 14:Extraordinary staff who went the 9 yards with ease. Quiet location with generally older xpat British guests. Great heated pool area.
Review 15:Hard to think of anything.
Review 16:Our third visit in 10 years. Beautiful location, very convenient for Ronda, (one of our favourite towns in Andalucia). Rooms a good size and very comfortable, excellent modern bathrooms. Gardens extensive and well cared for. Staff courteous and welcoming. Breakfast excellent choice, hot food always available. Evening menu eclectic, chose carefully and you will be delighted, only had one disappointing dish in five meals. We know many people who have stayed here and will certainly visit again.
Review 17:A lovely, relaxing country getaway in the mountains. It is easy to get to via train. The facilities and restaurant were great. The room was charming and very comfortable. There are a lot of nice walks in the area.
Review 18:It was a enjoyable relaxing stay nothing negative to say.
Review 19:Hotel grounds and pool. Pacco on reception very wecoming friendly and helpful during our stay. Good choice at buffet breakfast. Good value delicioud three course table d hote menu for 27 eoros with two AA Rossett standard food. Hotel pool and shaded areas.
Review 20:Molino Del Santo is an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding areas. There are plenty of places, both urban and rural within a reasonable driving distance. However, even of you don't plan on setting foot outside the hotel, Molino Del Santo will surely be a delightful place to stay. The rooms and the grounds are beautifully maintained, and there is a good selection of walled garden areas, sun bathed areas and shaded areas. The idea of basting myself in the sun next to the pool is not particularly appealing, but even I managed to spend some time relaxing under the shade of a tree whilst reading a book. Occasionally dipping into the cool pool was most refreshing. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. They not only tolerated our terrible attempts at speaking Spanish, they encouraged and helped us too. Thanks to the fantastic food, we had plenty of opportunity to practice. Be warned though, the food was so good that we didn't venture out as often as we should have. Instead, we made whatever excuses we could to stay in the hotel for just one more meal. We went to Spain for a friend's wedding, and due to my dislike of hot weather, I wasn't looking forward to it. However, we had such a great time that I am now really looking forward to visiting Molino Del Santo again.
Review 21:Our superior double room was very basic, over-priced and was far from superior. We were led to believe the restaurant would be outstanding. This was far from the case. The first night we both sent back our main courses. The second night was the same. The only reason we did not send the meal back again was because we were celebrating a special occasion and wanted to have an evening without complaining. All in all, what should have been a memorable weekend for us was ruined.

Review 74:The wonderful gardens, excellent food and a good sized pool made our mini break very relaxing. We will be back next year to do some walking.
Review 75:Nothing really! Maybe a bit pricey for 2 star but feel it deserves better. Husband thought shacks across water were bit of an eyesore.
Review 76:Staff very friendly. Food very good. Lovely setting. Quaint!
Review 77:Sliding door into toilet makes a rumbling sound when opened - wakes up partner in the middle of the night!! (Not major concern)
Review 78:Beautiful, peaceful setting of the hotel, - within a couple of minutes you're out in the heart of the countryside and at the start of several walking routes or travelling by train excursions. Staff very friendly, attentive and efficient, food of high standard and well presented. Hotel clean and tidy throughout.
Review 79:The setting of Molino del Santo is breathtaking! Beautifully landscaped and nestled between mountains, this hotel is an oasis! We enjoyed hiking right from the hotel up the mountainside and into the charming village of Benaojan, swimming in the pool, touring the nearby Cueva de Pileta and eating delicious breakfasts and dinners. The owners were charming and helpful as were the staff. We couldn't recommend this hotel more highly!
Review 80:Secluded hillside location, perfect for walking and bird watching. Excellent restaurant. Comfortable room with lovely vistas. Warm pool. Ethical and ecological values. Helpful staff.
Review 81:Good choice of cold buffet for breakfast but hot food limited and disappointing. Evening meal a bit mixed, most starters excellent but main courses too complicated. Perhaps chef is trying too hard, should stick to doing simple things well. Overall, a bit pricy for standard of hotel.
