Reviews for Hôtel Les Corallines – Thalasso Spa
Review 1:no dogs in restaurant so didn't eat in;
Review 2:the views, the gently heated swimming pool, the location, the beaches, our room, relaxed vibe, dog friendly town, other nearby places, great Mojitos!
Review 3:Not much breakfast options for a vegetarian:( Can suggest mushrooms, tomatoes on toast or French cheese toast as an alternative given choice:)!!
Review 4:Location, spa, pool side and bathroom areas with great sea view !
Review 5:Needed a kettle in the room as I don't drink coffee. Pillows were a little hard.
Review 6:Hotel location is superb. Staff were excellent even though our French was not brilliant.
Review 7:The only thing I didn't like was the shower curtain. just change them to glass screens and ban smoking on the terrace where people are eating.
Review 8:The staff were really friendly and helpful, I didn't have any hair conditioner so asked for some olive oil, they thought I was strange but I did get my olive oil, thanks chef! The pool is fabulous, the terrace was lovely, The hotel is so close to the beach. We only stayed 1 night but will be back. Thank you. It was one of the best hotels I have stayed in.
Review 9:All Treatments were well done when you forget the environment and the fact they are not connected although sold as one ritual.
Review 10:The main issue of this hotel and spa is communication or better lack of it. The staff did not provide any information unless you specifically ask and you ask after you got stuck which is already unnecessary hussle. Both hotel and spa receptions gave us incorrect information and we had to come back to check. We were told by one very rude receptionist that employee responsible for breakfasts who convinced us we have breakfast included when looking in her papers, that it was not her job to know and it was our problem and we were charged 30 euros for very mediocre breakfast at our departure. The spa is not very welcoming, it feels like a hospital with no music, decoration, ...etc. the staff never introduces themselves. We bought rituals with several steps and only realized after first treatment and being left standing in a corridor and then asking the reception that the are 1 hour gaps between each treatment because they are too busy and you have to wait while there is nowhere to sit and relax. The only terrase for spa did not have enough sun beds and chairs and turned to be a smoking corner. So the ritual which in their prospects looks like a nice holistic experience turned to be three treatments with gaps in between where you could not relax and the overall outcome was half of what it could have been. Pity.
Review 11:The staff in the bike hire. We wanted to hire a bike and she said she's to busy to help us because it's the weekend it's impossible!
Review 12:Pool and beach location
Review 13:Bedroom with sea view, La grande Motte is not the sexiest coast but it was very nice, the pool is lovely, and only 50m from the beach for a morning swim. Just what we needed and wanted. The Thalasso center looked very good as well. we did not visit it.
Review 14:The staff weren't the most helpful, but not awful. Probably too busy
Review 15:Position is lovely, right on the beach.
Review 16:nesting birds
Review 17:location, accessibility
Review 18:really nothing
Review 19:Hotel is ok but nothing special. Very good for spending some time on the beach.
Review 20:We had no hot water for 2 days. There was no mention of this by themanagement or offer to compensate. I mentioned we didn't have hotwater after 2 days and only got a "terribly sorry".I have since learned that since I didn't complain (which I did, but I guess not harsh enough), there is no retro compensation even though the hotel compensated other guests during this time. There is a huge roosting bird problem. Swallows all over the garage and birds nesting on the deck awnings. There was bird poop all over the property and our balcony. Constant chirping and activity around the sliding glass door out to the balcony. The hotel rooms need to be updated. It's really stuck in the 70's with original carpeting and bathroom fixtures.
Review 21:Breakfast and pool area were very nice. Hotel staff friendly and someenglish spoken by the staff. The housekeeping staff was particularlyattentive. The location is good with easy access to the boardwalk andbeach area. About a 15 minute walk to the centre ville. The internet was free of charge and worked well.
Review 22:construction site; no signage to say you were at the right hotel. no credit card machine working on departure, poor breakfast layout too much money for what was provided. could be a really classy hotel but failed.
Review 23:airy, large room, nice outlook
Review 24:The area in front of the hotel is undergoing a major restucturing:it's like entering in a construction site. With the main hotelentrance obstructed, you really don't know how to enter in thehotel! Once you realize that the only way to park is in the garage, youwill have to make lot of maneuvres to have you car fit in there. Thehall is almost nice but it's only a bad facelift of a 70s hotel. Theroom seem to be clean but again, they look like being from the 70s, andif you need to use the toilet, I hope you don't suffer fromclaustrophobia! The first night a came back at 23 at the parking gatewas closed (a construction site gate). No way to enter in the parking! Ihad to break down the closing string! Incredible. Breakfast was notincluded and with 15 Euros with get no scrabled eggs and no cappucino.I could write more but this is enough: the hotel should have informed the visitors of their current status. This is 2 stars hotel not 4!
Review 25:Terrrible experience! I'm hardly able to find something positive, really one of the worst place I've been so far! Only the lady at thereception was friendly enough to understand the situation.
Review 26:The Hotel needs some refreshments. The carped floor and the falseceiling are relics of the 70' and 80', same as the design of the Hotel(concrete block). Unfortunately most hotels of La Grande Motte (seaside)are similarly designed and not of my liking. Considering the spa areawasn't open, the Hotel could consider this and adapt prices. Also theconstruction site at the front side of the hotel could have beenmentioned before arriving to the Hotel. To expensive to fulfill thecriteria of recommendation to other people/travelers.
Review 27:We did like the location near the sea and its access directly to theboardwalk where we did long promenades with our 3 month old baby.Located directly near a little park, we could relax underneath the treesduring the hot midday hours. Easy access to lots of restaurants andshops of the city and port of La Grande Motte (at 1-2 km). The heatedpool was great.
Review 28:Soundproofing in rooms could be improved. Spa out of use for 2months-important as it rained heavily in summer season. Building site by reception (The Rains n'Cranes stay mainly in...) Ok they were 2 beautiful cranes.
Review 29:Friendly staff, large 25m S shaped swimming pool, 50 metres from the beach, 200m from usual beach restaurants, other sandy beaches
Review 30:After a fire in March 2012 half of the facilities were unavailable(until August 2012 we are told) however there was nothing on the website about this. Therefore no spa, massage, second pool, hairdresser, infact they had laid off half their staff. The description still mentionsthese facilities. No reduction was offered, and the rate for the hotelafter completion is the same. Also the car park is now a building site, and you have to take an underground parking place (if one is available)otherwise your car shares the muddy area with trucks etc, and the hotelis overlook by two large cranes. The area for fire safety was alwaysblocked by white vans of the builders !
Review 31:A reduced number of people staying at the hotel means it was quieterthan normal but this was caused by lack of facilities, others must havegot to know, somehow !!!
Review 32:The computer is often not working and paying the bill in the morning is a nightmare!
Review 33:The Coaralines is a pleasant fairly modern seaside hotel with clean and modernised rooms and is particularly good in summer
Review 34:none
Review 35:staff and food
Review 36:Some attention should be paid to pool area furniture cleaness. Nice pool, though.
Review 37:Nice and peacefull small Hotel in a good location.
