Reviews for Hôtel La Rencluse
Review 1:We had the basic room, which only had a hand held over-bath shower, but this is a 2 star hotel and we did go for the basic room.
Review 2:Fantastic view from our bedroom window. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, well used by locals. The free car pak has limited spaces but there is always the road outside if necessary.
Review 3:Not allowed to eat there wearing shorts. No walk in shower and a bath the size of a shoebox. Primitive washing facilities and pompous rules don't work for me!
Review 4:It was clean.
Review 5:We enjoyed our stay, room was tidy, comfortable, there was an outdoor deck for a view and a glass, you could walk to the park, town, hiking trails, staff was most friendly. Dinner menu du jour at 18 E was very good value.
Review 6:The breakfast room was a little cramped, but the variety and quantity of food was fine.
Review 7:Patron was very friendly and welcoming. Room was superb, and the evening meal excellent. A very enjoyable 2 day stay, we'll go back next year.
Review 8:The only two faults I could find with La Rencluse would be their Wifi which was pretty slow in the room we were in – you also need a code for each device you wish to connect which is a bit of a nuisance. The hotel carpark is also a bit on the small side but there seems to be plenty of free on street parking and we never had a problem finding a space.
Review 9:Really enjoyed our stay in La Rencluse. We were given a very warm and friendly welcome by Francoise to her homely hotel. We were a little disappointed when we were shown to our room as it was actually outside the main hotel building (less than a minute walk!), but we couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. Our room was spacious, quiet, and the décor was lovely. Also had a great shower! Would definitely recommend eating in the hotel’s restaurant – great choice and very good food! I would recommend this hotel for anybody wishing to walk in The Pyrenees as it is an ideal base for Superbagneres and many other great walks. The hotel is situated about five minutes walk from the baths and town centre. Would definitely recommend this hotel for great value, a friendly welcome and nice food!
Review 10:A perfect little hotel that offered very clean and pretty alpine themed rooms. A cosy bar with quirky decor and good choice of food and drinks. Great beer! The owners and staff were helpful and friendly . Would go again for a few days for exploring nearby attractions. Great bikers road leading to Spain. Thank you
Review 11:This is not a comment about La Rencluse. It is just that Luchon needs to raise its game concerning the area to the south of the thermes, where the properties are run down, the sidewalks rough, and the park unkempt.
Review 12:The view from the bedroom was great. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The hotel has recently been upgraded, but the bath needs a shower curtain. Despite Luchon not attending to the upkeep of the area between the main street and the hotel, it is worth choosing La Rencluse on its own merits.
Review 13:Nothing really, except perhaps the absence of a lift, but the staircase is wide with easy, shallow treads.
Review 14:Quite a good sized well appointed bedroom with a well equipped very clean en suite. Old style hotel but sympathetically modernised to meet current expectations. Lovely view out the back of the Pyrenees. On site parking. Restaurant serving well cooked food at a reasonable price. Our "magret de canard" was the best we tasted throughout our travels in the south west!
Review 15:If you arrive late at night you could find the carpark full but parking is free at all times on the road. Limited tourist brochures but the town information office is marvellous.
Review 16:Comfortable, close to town, seems brand new, clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant had good food but large portions. Jean-Marc speaks enough English and also some Spanish - language was no problem.
Review 17:Breakfast exellent
Review 18:Good was excellent and great value
Review 19:Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Great restaurant.
Review 20:The restaurant was great and the room was comfortable. The area has an alpine flavour. Our room was more clean-line modern alpine with a lovely new bathroom.
