Review 1：it was an off season , but we expected to have the same services nevertheless , the breakfast was absolutely rubbish and felt like sitting in a cheap motel. Not sure if they serve that breakfast or was it because we were only 8 guests in the entire hotel.... the restaurant was closed, it looked like a ghost hotel .. but thats ok. booking.com itself projected while booking as if there were no rooms available after some numbers , where as the whole hotel was absolutely empty ...what does that mean ??

Review 2：the staff was nice , allowed us to stay couple of hours more. the hotel overall is nice and comfortable, the swimming pool was well heated. good location and the town itself is really very beautiful.

Review 8：This is a lovely hotel with friendly, very helpful staff. The receptionist helped me with information about trips I could make in the area, including bus and train information. I was so pleased! Mittenwald is a quaint pretty town. The room I was given had a balcony with a mountain view and breakfast was served in a very traditional attractive room and was generous and delicious.

Review 9：Mittenwald is amazing, I definitely recommend it! The hotel is a bit older but has alot of character. The room was large, with a sitting/tv area separated from the bed.

Review 11：There is the hotel in the historic aesthetic area, and access is good. The history is old, and the hotel is wrapped in a solid, chic atmosphere. We can be relaxed on the lounge. The rooms are unified with a classic atmosphere and clean. It is all splendid.

Review 21：Very nice clean room; beautiful views from our balcony. After a long hot day of taking in the sights and sounds of the Bavarian region, it was nice to come back and take a refreshing swim. We enjoyed the personal service from the front desk to breakfast in the mornings!

Review 22：TV was very old and had NO english chanels, this makes a TV completely useless for english speaking people. No free Wi-fi anywhere. We paid €7 for 24 hours, but then only 2 devices could connect! No AC. Uncomfortable pillows. Old decor.

Review 24：We stayed for two nights in June 2015, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We got a room on the first floor with a balcony, with a view of the church tower. Despite being above the parking area and side entrance to the hotel, it was not noisy. The room was clean, nicely styled and up to date and the beds comfortable. The hotel is in a great location central for dining and shopping. The breakfast included with the stay had a good variety of choices.

Review 25：Not really a bad experience, just a remark really. The bathroom was very narrow, and the bath quite high to step over, therefore a little dangerous for older people. (My husband is 82, but fit, and we are not fat, luckily). Otherwise, everything was comfortable, and worked properly.

Review 26：We were welcomed, and assisted with our luggage to our room, which was spacious and comfortable. The outlook was pleasant, and it was quiet, being at the back of the hotel. Our linen was changed every day, altho' we did not need or expect this.

Review 29：The staff was friendly. The breakfast room was difficult to access because of so many guests. We enjoyed the restaurant in the evening. When I hurt my back, a staff member told me how to get to an emergency facility in Garmisch about 20 minutes away.

Review 30：The beds were so hard that I couldn't get comfortable. My back hurt for days, but I'm not sure if all of the beds in most hotels in Mittenwald are this way. Also, it would be nice if front office staff could be more helpful with things to do in Mittenwald. Give some suggestions...One last thing, it would have been nice if the bar was open...

Review 32：This is definitely an older hotel -- long, dark hallways with older furniture here and there. A little musty, but okay. The room was clean but could use a little sprucing up. Safe was locked from previous guest. Wifi free for only 15 minutes.

Review 33：The location is what really makes this place. We opened our window to find that we looked down on the walking area with restaurants and the church in the distance. Slept with the window open to hear the musicians playing in the courtyard.

Review 40：Location is a 15 minute bus ride from town and it's beautiful! Breakfasts are excellent. Dinners are excellent. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The owner-family run the guesthouse and it shows!! We had Room 1 (on the ground floor). MASSIVE room. Being on the ground floor is very helpful in warm weather as the higher floors get hotter - there is no air con. Room 1 does not have a great view as it fronts onto the parking area, but it's still pleasant. As the room is next to the lobby, there is a risk that early sleepers will be disturbed by diners. However, from about 10:00PM it's all quiet. We saw one other room, and Room 1 is excellent compared to it, in all respects. An outstanding place to stay! Definitely would highly recommend.

Review 86：I think that charging for the internet (and charging a lot) is nowadays unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. Simply dissapointing. As well as charging 5 euro for a swimming pool robe!

Review 87：Great hotel. Alpine decoration, great view of the mountains from the rooms, from the pool area and from the breakfast area. Nice and traditional breakfast, excellent and helpfull staff (liked the fact that they were dressed traditionally during breakfast). Location very nice, in the centre of Mittenwald, which is a nice and quiet traditional village. I loved the swimming pool area and its view. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 112：The Post Hotel is absolutely gorgeous. We had a lovely balcony with views of the alps. The pool and sauna were fantastic. We happened to be at the hotel on May Day and were treated to a traditional celebration and raising of the Maypole in the town square. Mittenwald was fantastic.

Large very comfortable room and hotel is decorated in the tradisional alpine way, so you feel you are in the Alps even if you are inside the hotel. great few of the mountains. I will deffenitly stay there again if (I hope) I go that direction. .

The front desk staff knew the area well and weregreat at helping us with directions and suggestions.The hotel lobby was a gathering place in the evening with groups playing cards or just visiting. We enjoyed watching a soccer match on TV with several other hotel guests. Breakfast was very good. Wonderful breads, cold meats and cheeses, fruit and even scrambled eggs. We stayed in one of the "older" rooms of the hotel. It's charm and character were just what we were looking for. The room key was attached to one of those old-fashioned heavy key fobs that just about assured you returned the key to the desk when you left the hotel for the day. All and all, this hotel has great charm and ambiance. Combine that with the beautiful setting in Mittenwald and the friendliness, helpful staff and you can't go wrong.
