Reviews for Cortijo Las Piñas

Review 1:One of our favorite places we've found during our road trip through Spain. Lovely apartment, great location, we would love to return for much longer than three nights we stayed there!

Review 2:The owners don't speak english except the young one but he was not around most of the time. A lot of ants in appartment

Review 3:The pool was nice but a lot of Wasps. But the dunes are so spectacular...

Review 4:The apartment did not have air conditioning and it was sometimes difficult to keep it somewhat cool. Other than that we loved our stay and had a blast!

Review 5:Perfect location: only minutes driving from Valdevaqueros beach, right around the corner from the exit to Punta Paloma, and right in between Tarifa and Bolonia. Great atmosphere, lovely garden and patio, peaceful and tranquil (only disturbance is the lovely sound of the birds).

Review 6:Wardrobe was in the bathroom so everytime a bath was had the clothes were damp. They were selling out of date beer, they shrugged their shoulders. There were live wires under a lamp on the mantleshelf. Gas cooker on sink unit was not fixed so kept sliding about. Guests dogs barking at all hours.

Review 7:The setting was not bad, grounds and pool area were very nice

Review 8:Breakfast has been quite poor in terms of choice, buy hey, we woke up around noon so couldn't have high hopes. WiFi is just at the reception, but again, if one chooses a cortijo, you shouldn't be expecting perfect high tech supply. Both aspects where minor. We had a perfect stay.

Review 9:I'll surely return. It is indeed like being the guest of a family, the whole atmosphere of this cortijo is insanely intense, as if one would be on the scene of a movie. Perfect maintainence and cleaning, new furtiture and super comfy bed.

Review 10:Bumpy drive up to Cortijo but not a major problem!

Review 11:Rustic but with all basic facilities, Quiet and away from all the frantic rush of life Can book horse riding Near the beach Swimming pool

Review 12:Lack of privacy as there was no private balcony to eat dinner or something like that. This was especially felt as few our neighbors had children... But at the same time it was a nice opportunity to engage in talk with other people and we were happy about that.

Review 13:Friendly staff, good location if one has a car. Apartments are nice and feel domestic. Tennis court right on territory and one can get corresponding equipment for free. Horses on a backyard with a possibility to arrange a ride.

Review 14:Nothing

Review 15:Ideal rural setting, friendly staff, comfortable room

Review 16:We loved That it was in The countryside. Away from The town But Walking distance to The Beach. Close to windsurfing paradise...?? valdevaqueros ✌️

Review 17:We had visited for years!! It feels like you have been invited to a Spanish friends farmhouse. Authentic, comfortable and peaceful.

Review 18:The room was good, the people were friendly & the pool was perfect for relaxing. Very enjoyable.

Review 19:Rural retreat within close proximity to the beach!

Review 20:Even with the very good wire gauzes on all windows it is impossible to keep out all mosquitos, so take your mosquito repellent with you.

Review 21:Cortijo Las Piñas is a good place to stay. The appartment is pleasant and comfortable, to sit outside it in the green garden makes you feel like the owner of a small farm. The sights around are great: the hills with the windmills, the view on the sea and the African coast.

Review 22:Somewhat close to the road, although the noise is limited

Review 23:Relaxed atmosphere, the setting in an extended garden; closeness to the sea, not too far from Tarifa

Review 24:It was suppossed to have been a 2 bedroom but our boys had to sleep in the small kitchen. Beds too small for them and there was a safety issue they slept with a gas hob beside them. We were worried so left the window open.management should do something about this urgently.also they should spray the rooms regularly as there is a mosquitos problem. Lots were squashed on the walls and curtains. Cleaning not great either. We wouldnt stay again

Review 25:Near to beach.

Review 26:It's necessary to have a car to go to Tarifa. Ants and small lizards can enter into the rooms if you let the bathroom window open (the ony one that hasn't a window screen) or the door of the apartment which overlooks the patio: not a big deal, but a little annoying. No hair-drier.

Review 27:Quiet countryside setting, house with a nice patio, rustic furniture of the apartment, clean rooms. Close to Valdevaqueros Beach that you could reach on foot (15 min).

Review 28:I wasn't too happy with the reception staff.

Review 29:I liked the look and size of the room. I also liked the outside area, where I could sit down and relax. Had a natural, country look about it. I felt it was good value for money.

Review 30:We had to leave at 12 but could not stay to use the pool which was a shame.Other places like this usually let you stay on as long as the room is cleared.

Review 31:Peaceful, tranquil. Good facilities. Beautifully restored old Spanish farmhouse. Kitchen in room so saved loads of money on eating out.

Review 32:This is a lovely little place nestled atthe base of a mountain just outside tarifa and about 15 minutes walking to the beach through forest. We had just come back from tangiers and were desperate for some peace and quiet and there is plenty of that here! Rooms are basicand clean, most rooms have a kitchenette with a fridge and 2 ring camping cooker, all have their own bathroom and comfirtable beds. Rooms are all ground floor set around courtyards, one word of advice is to bring some mosquito repellent as you will get bitten. There is a small but very sunny pool area, breakfast is again basic if you want it but the family who run las pinas will try and accommodate most reasonable requests. We didnt go on the horses but plenty of other guests did and really enjoyed their treks along the nearby beaches. I will be back to las pinas, the family is friendly, the location is beautiful and we are leaving here well rested for the next leg of our trip

Review 33:The rooms are a good size and the kitchen facilities adequate for our short stay. Microwave, fridgefreezer and a 2 ring gas top utlities/crockery plentiful. The location is very tranquil although you do need a car, they are plenty of parking spaces near the rooms. The area is lovely and the beaches great and quite quiet for August. Having read the earlier reviews re mossies and ants the management do seem to have taken notice. There are anti mossie machines in all the rooms and a warning not to leave food out as this attracts ants. Living in a hot country with food laying about I totally agree and actually took some ant killer with us just in case! The kitchen and rooms were spotless clean when we arrived and no ants! The swimming pool was clean and although the apartments were full the pool never got very busy. We would stay again.

Review 34:mosquitos but a spray took care of that

Review 35:everything really will return in the autumn

Review 36:Everything! Such a lovely place, we would recommend it to everyone. The apartment is fantastic and has everything you need.

Review 37:Rural location

Review 38:Kitchen facilities and bathroom

Review 39:Location and gardens, pool area

Review 40:Country side, quiet, feel of nature, air

Review 41:Nothing we would stay again

Review 42:The location and freedom. Our own apartment and the use of a swimming pool
