Reviews for Hôtel Azur Bord De Mer

Review 1:Thought the rooms were tired looking and the furniture shabby. No shower screen, although when mentioned, was told it broke last week !!! No coffee or tea making facilities ,which you would except from 4stars. Breakfast much too expensive for a continental plus charging extra for orange juice, 14 euros + 2:50 extra for the orange juice !! Per person. Long list of rules , example :- not to use cushions on bed to lay on....

Review 2:Location was good and pool area pleasant .

Review 3:The room was small, furnishings were old and worn, chairs and table on balcony was in poor condition, this didnt seem like a premium room and in looking at the floor plans (via the escape route) it was by no means one of the bigger rooms.

Review 4:Easy walking distance from La Grande Motte centre, and beach. Pool was ok and at this time of the year not crowded.

Review 5:The room was tired with very poor furnishings - the bathroom consistedof a shower and a toilet with a sliding door to cover one or the otherbut not both. The toilet area was so small that the pan had to be setdiagonally across the space. We were only stopping off on our way backto the uk by road so the bed was ok but that was about it.

Review 6:The parking spot outside on a very busy day in La Grande-Motte

Review 7:The location was amazing, right on the marina. Beautiful view from room and nice size swimming pool. Lovely restaurants nearby and also lovely walks along the beach.

Review 8:Stayed in a 'family 2 bedroom' as had adult son and a friend neediing 2 single beds, the only toilet opens directly into thair bedroom as does bathroom door.

Review 9:English speaking happy staff Excellent housekeeping of our rooms.

Review 10:Single bed was too small for my daughter who is 1.75 metres tall so she did have a good sleep. No food is allowed in the room so there was no facilities for tea or coffee. We paid 1400 euro for 5 nights which we thought was a little expensive and did not include breakfast which was 13 euro.

Review 11:Location, great friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located next to the boat harbour and a great variety of restaurants. The city is clean and beautiful and very close to Montpellier which has great shopping.

Review 12:The hotel location is fantastic, pool area so quiet with plenty of sun beds .Snacks and light meals excellent value for money.Staff really helpful gave us lots of useful information.

Review 13:WE SPENT OUR TIME IN A NICE ATMOSPHERE. THE STAFF IS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THE ROOMS IN A HOTEL WERE CLEAN. LOCATION IS ALSO GOOD WITH A BEAUTIFUL SURRENGINGS. I HOPE NEXT YEAR WE ALSO COME BACK THERE.

Review 14:- Bed linens & pillows could be better

Review 15:+ A small boutique hotel + Quiet location overlooking port/sea + Personal touch as family run + close to beaches + seaside + touring bikes available

Review 16:The bed. No internet.

Review 17:He staff.

Review 18:Sloooow wireless network...

Review 19:Pool side loungers need up dating

Review 20:Very good and Frendly Staff

Review 21:Decor dated. Breakfast outrageously expensive.

Review 22:Location and view from bedroom.

Review 23:Really good place in a lovely location

Review 24:Everything

Review 25:friendly owner & staff, with a very convinient location 2 mins walk from all facilities

Review 26:Few facilities . Very closed but it was December. No tea / coffee in room

Review 27:Location

Review 28:Breakfast is not good value for money and consists of various food items delivered on a tray. A buffet with a better selection would be far better and represent better value for money. Not representative of a 4* hotel.

Review 29:The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful and are a great asset to the hotel. The hotel is small both in room numbers and building size which makes for a nice intimate experience.

Review 30:The breakfast was the least exciting we have seen in a while but mor importantly Le Grande Motte can be missed, it's just not a great town when there are so many nice towns along the coast why come here unless you need to.

Review 31:Great location if you need to be in Le Grande Motte for any reason.

Review 32:Very noisy on Friday & Saturday nights due to music from nearbyYacht Club & beach party. Noisy on Monday night due to party infunction room above. No shower curtain or shower screen, so had bathsevery day to avoid flooding bathroom. Entrance to bathroom/toiletwas via kids area. Toilet was in separate cupboard which was so smallyou could hardly move. La Grande Motte is not the prettiest of resortsdue to lots of 1970s concrete, so hire/take a car for days out.

Review 33:Good sized family room with separate area for kids. Walking distance tolarge number of restaurants in La Grande Motte. Very friendly welcome& receptionist spoke excellent English. Staff were helpful insuggesting restaurants & days out, & even provided maps. Roomhad balcony overlooking sea & marina. South facing heated swimmingpool perfect for relaxing after a day out. Good French style breakfast.

Review 34:The room was a little cramped. The bit downside was that there was a smell of stale cigarrettes - just horrible.

Review 35:The view from the room was stunning. The hotel is ideally situated for the beaches and the town centre.

Review 36:poor service, not very friendly 4star rating must be a mistake for the special booking.com price we paid it was just ok, if we had paid the full price we would have been very upset.

Review 37:the location

Review 38:The welcome: very friendly and helpful. The room: comfortable with good view across the bay. The location: in centre of La Grande Motte, close to numerous restaurants and beaches. We will definitely be back. Great hotel and good value for money.

Review 39:On the Booking.com website the hotel is cited as having a restaurant, but it doesn't. There are, however, plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is delivered on a tray and was basically the same items each day, there didn't appear to be any choice. Seemed rather expensive.

Review 40:Central location and very friendly staff.

Review 41:We had a wonderful stay - made easy by the fantastic owners and staff who were always happy to help with advice and suggestions - they found us an amazing restaurant in the Carmargue and lots of great days out. Hotel is very comfortable and in a great location over looking the marina - it is simply decorated but attractive and very comfortable - would thoroughly recommend!
