Reviews for Rias Bajas
Review 1:The location is great but it's such a central location that there's plenty of traffic, so it takes ages to drive there and it is not easy to find parking.
Review 2:The coffee bar was really nice, a good meeting point. Room service was good too.
Review 3:The room was quite hot. It has air conditioned, but I don't like to sleep with it turned on.
Review 4:The rooms are very large and good, with a classical decor. It is located in the center and you can walk everywhere. 20m walking to the university.
Review 5:Car park is located under the opposite building - not very convenient, very average breakfast.
Review 6:Great location, very helpful staff, Internet was working very well in our room.
Review 7:Staff weren't overly welcoming. they gave us the impression that everything was an effort.
Review 8:The room was clean, spacious, and in a great location for the Camino. It was good value for money.
Review 9:Beware that double room does not mean double bed room. We have booked a double bed room with balcony and offered a twin bed room. We have no option during booking to indicate a double bed option. After a long winded conversation with the staff, we have swapped to a smaller room without balcony. They went with their booking and blame the problem with booking.com not understanding what the double room option meant.
Review 10:Chambermaid is nice. Location is decent.
Review 11:Located on a noisy corner with no A/C & poor ventilation so sleeping was difficult.. Ugly orange carpet. Overall kind of drab.
Review 12:Very close to historic core. Parking lot available right across the street. Nice bathroom (shower only, no tub). Cafe in lobby..
Review 13:Located on the edge of the old town it is easy walking to the old centre. Clean, comfortable hotel with are the necesssary facilities including good wifi. The car park directly across the road from the hotel was easy to access and roomy by european standards. Staff were freindly and helpful - even helping us move when they found we had some noisy neighbours.
Review 14:Although I requested a non-smoking room, I was booked into a room that smelled foul of cigarette smoke. I was allocated to another room but on the 8th floor - where there was no wi-fi signal.
Review 15:Good Location
Review 16:My room was almost a suite, extremely comfortable and nicely appointed. Parking across the street very convenient. Nice location easy walking distance from the sights in old town Pontevedra.
Review 17:It is bordering parody, how much even front desk clerks don't speak English. This particular hotel perhaps should invest in sending their front line people to take some English courses, where they would be taught at least the number in English. Wake up Spain, the lingua franca in neither French, nor Spanish!
Review 18:Great location.
Review 19:Rooms are a bit dated, would say it needs to be modernized a bit. Its very Spanish in taste of which the rooms are decorated. Its sufficient for what you pay. The reception was a bit hard on our IDs/ Passport for no reason. Don't know if it was racism or just curiosity.
Review 20:The lobby was modern and welcoming.
Review 21:Some noisy residents over night--had a disturbed sleep. Should have reported to reception. Reception staff were non-welcoming bordering on being surly.
Review 22:Near to all town centre attractions. Very spacious and comfortable room. Good breakfast. Secure parking opposite hotel.
Review 23:Room was quite noisy from the street and other guests coming in late.
Review 24:Great location. Lovely room was spacious and well appointed. Staff were friendly.
Review 25:Bar facilities and dining room very 'spartan' in concept and food quality not so good. No buffet meals served and cuisine did not have that 'cosmopolitan' standard one usually finds in hotels in Spain
Review 26:Our bedroom, 'superior double room', was excellent for comfort, quietness and cleanliness. Bed linen was freshly changed every day and of beautiful quality. All staff very helpful and cooperative. We would stay again here when visiting Pontevedra.
Review 27:Very slow service at poor to average breakfast.
Review 28:Location & convenient parking. Big comfortable room with balcony facing rather uninspired building.
Review 29:It is a very old and tired hotel. It was very hard to find. Parking is a7 minutes walk from hotel and it costs 17 euros. Rooms need upgrading.
Review 30:Very good location.
Review 31:Decor was drab and the restaurant was awful. I was offered pineapple for dessert and it was two slices out of a tin. Disgraceful. Staff in restaurant miserable. Didn't try the breakfast but there were plenty of places nearby with good coffee and croissants.
Review 32:Hotel was a 2 minute walk to the old town and cathedral. Room clean and tidy but not very inspiring.
Review 33:Nothing
Review 34:Everyone on the staff extremely helpful and friendly from the reception desk to the lovely lady attending my room. In fact I found everyone in Pontevedra very open and friendly. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent. The room extremely clean, well furnished and comfortable. Location brilliant, right on the edge of the old town. Wished I could have stayed longer.
Review 35:The price of the park is quite high.
Review 36:The rooms are pretty good and the location is really in the city center.
Review 37:Great location Excellent value for money and the staff were very helpful

Review 39:Comfortable room.
Review 40:Too noisy at night but no problem
Review 41:good location
Review 42:Excellent location. The local feria franca was amazing. The old town is beautiful with a great choice of tapas bars.
Review 43:Good stalk and excellent location and reasonably quiet being in the centre of town

Review 47:location
Review 48:Wifi only worked in the reception.
Review 49:Comfortable, clean, balcony on 8th floor with a view at the oldtown was lovely.

Review 55:Great location. Good value.
Review 56:A lot of noise from the street during the night
Review 57:excellent location
Review 58:clean, comfortable
Review 59:Close to the old town.
Review 60:Spacious room, cleaness, good restaurant inside the hotel, location.
Review 61:fantastic location less than a minutes walk from cathedral on Portugese camino route
Review 62:-Rooms outdated -Breakfast -No A/C
Review 63:-Location -Secure parking
Review 64:Breakfast and welcome
Review 65:Location
Review 66:They dried our walking boots overnight in the boiler room. Breakfast was very generous and the room were large.
Review 67:Big rooms, felt clean all around, sheets were clean, bathroom clean. Location is excellent
Review 68:A bit dated in the decor and could do with a spruce up. The Cadillac had huge difficulty negotiating the narrow tight entrance and ramp into the underground car park but a more sensible car might find it easier.
Review 69:Large corner room with a small sitting area and balcony overlooking pedestrianised street. Quiet with double glazing. Good shower. Plenty of shops, bars and cafes nearby. Short walk to old town where the best tapas bars were located.
Review 70:The room was very spacious and comfortable and I had a lovely view onto the main street with a small balcony. I had very little Spanish/Galician so interacting with the staff was a bit difficult but they were always friendly and helpful - the problem was mine with lack of language skill, not theirs! Did not use their restaurant for breakfast so cannot comment - I was visiting my son in Pontevedra (who did speak Spanish/Galician!) and I had meals with him outside the hotel.
Review 71:the bar & restaurant bar meals were particularly good and value for money. One of our party left an important document behind afer our departure. A phone call to a very helpful "Loli" had the documents returned to England within the week.
Review 72:Breakfast in the cafeteria attached to the hotel wasn't great, but there are very few places nearby which open early for breakfast.
Review 73:Great location on the edge of the old town. Pontevedra itself is a lovely city.
Review 74:No air con in the bedroom.
Review 75:All the staff were very helpful, pleasant and courteous. We were particularly impressed with the quality of service given at all times by the reception desk staff. Our room was very spacious with separate lounge and balcony and excellent facilities. Hotel ideally situated to explore the old town which was accessed literally on the opposite side of the road. Breakfast (served in the public bar area) choice limited and somewhat expensive but in general ok. The 'old town' of Pontevedra is a real gem oozing character with plenty of restaurants to chose from. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel and also Pontevedra as a place to visit and use as a base to explore the nearby coastline. Would like to return here again some time.
Review 76:They could add a kettle and tea and coffee to the room. Wifi was patchy - had to stand in the right place in the room to receive it.
Review 77:Very clean, helpful staff and well equipped room. Good price.
Review 78:We liked everything. Our room was huge, it had a living room and a very big corner balcony (we asked for a smokers' room) and everything was just great. Plus, we had our car parked in the garage and they let us keep it there the whole day after we checked out so that we could spend the last day without any worries. We had a wonderful time and will be coming back!
Review 79:Poor bar / cafe and poor breakfast facilities.
Review 80:None
Review 81:Excellent, big room. Located within the historic city.
Review 82:Wifi was slow
Review 83:Comfortable beds n lots of room.
Review 84:The water was charged extra during breakfast. The variety of breakfast was poor.
Review 85:Very clean and well located hotel in the city centre.
Review 86:Large clean room, excellent location, facilities, parking.
Review 87:restaurant exceptionally good for a 3* city hotel. P/Q OK.
Review 88:Noise from nearby rooms.
Review 89:Very convenient location, near most city attractions, bars and restaurants.
