Review 1：It was quite cold in the room (17.5 degrees Celsius) and the heating (on max power) just managed to increase this by one degree... Front desk could have been a little more helpful: my access card didn't work and she sent me four times to my room ("it should work"). If you walked along/around the lake, there aren't many other hiking trails. The bed wasn't clean (blood spot).

Review 2：Nice place for hiking (walk around the lake, about 25km); great breakfast buffet; friendly staff at restaurant. Unlike most other hotels that offer free WiFi in the region, this WiFi actually worked and you could even stream videos.

Review 3：This hotel is very comfortable and the food is superb. All of the staff are very friendly and all areas within the hotel and outside are very clean and tidy. The gardens have some lovely features and are well maintained. We didn't get to use the pool as we went out of season and the weather was a little cool, however, it did look very clean and inviting. This hotel now has spa facilities and we did participate in a few treatments which were amazing. Well worth the visit and would definitely return. I would struggle to find anything negative about this hotel and it's facilities and services. Personally I like to have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but this wasn't a huge problem as room service was available. Thank you for an enjoyable stay we look forward to staying with you again soon.

Review 4：Had to ask staff about hot breakfast, not offered 2 days out of 3. A bottle of wine was meant to be sent to the room as a gift from management but never arrived.

Review 9：Stunning location and hotel matches the location. Everything is in top condition, tAsteful Andalusian style decor and great outdoor areas to eat and lounge. Even looks good at night with extensive garden lighting

Review 10：The food on the menu although tasty is very rich.A little more variety would be good. Only one English channel on the TV, the BBC News, considering there are a lot of English people who use the hotel, they could be better catered for.

Review 11：We upgraded to a suite and it was lovely, the room was fabulous. The only minor let down was that, although the private rooftop terrace had stunning views it was spoilt by being rather noisy due to the close proximity of the ventilation plant on the roof.

Review 12：It was not at all a "bad" experience, but there is not enough room nor comfortable seating for overnight guests to sit in in public areas. Our "superior" grade room had only one small 2-seater sofa and no separate armchair, so there was nowhere we could both sit down and relax and, say, read a book comfortably.

Review 29：Excellent stay at the hotel with my wife and 14yr old son , great to go to the well manicured and managed pool area and to share it with like minded courteous people . Hotel room was great as a triple and the breakfast on the terrace was a great start to the day . The hotel doesn't exploit guests with extravagant prices for food or drink . I must mention the exquisite quality of evening dinner , the presentation , tastes and service from the staff was magnificent and my three days here at the end of my holiday is exactly what was needed to round off a great holiday.

Review 33：Room a little cramped for the 4 of us but ok. Surrounding area was quiet and peaceful but nothing much to do or see apart from the lake. Only stayed 3 nights so we were fine chilling by the lovely pool.

Review 35：one or two of the newer staff do not smile or give great service. we stayed at the hotel October 2014 and the waiters came to the tables and asked if you wanted any cooked items. We had to seek out a waiter/waitress and ask them so the breakfast experience was not as good as last year. First impressions are very important and if you see a waiter who looks as though he would rather not be there it reflects on the whole hotel. The staff who were there last year are excellent. Friendly and very helpful.

Review 36：The location of the hotel is superb. The hotel is very peaceful - no music around the pool so you can just relax quietly. The comfort rooms are spacious and some of lakeside views. the gardens are beautiful. it is a popular, local wedding venue.

Review 54：We liked just about everything at the Hotel la Vinuela, the staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful, our room was very comfortable with a good sized bathroom with shower and had a nice little terrace overlooking the gardens, pool & lake. We thought the prices in the restaurant were very reasonable, being about the same as you would pay in a roadside venta, and the quality of the meals we had was excellent.

Review 55：Main reasons for booking La Vinuela was to explore the area on bikes and to play tennis. The hotel had only 2 bikes with 1 available for the 6 of us. Tennis court playable but in poor shape. Unsure if most facilities only available in high summer ( we went at Easter).

Review 58：Booked this for 1 night at an excellent price. In arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite with a fantastic view over the lake. After returning from a walk in the lovely countryside there was some work building a new spa going on in the grounds which was very loud but we were brought a complimentary bottle of very nice cava to the room and a free bottle of wine with our dinner. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff very professional and friendly Our lunch and evening meal were superb. Some of the very best food we have had in Spain. The hotel grounds are beautiful and I'm sure we will revisit if only for lunch on the terrace now we know how close it is to where we stay in Nerja.

Review 59：We all booked to stay and arrived for drinks on the terrace (lucky the weather was lovely) and then a light lunch. Lazy afteroon and then the birthday celebration meal. Rooms were excellent - own balcony and lovely and comfy. Food for lunch was very good, food for dinner exceptional. Excellent service and reasonable priced wines. Well worth a visit.

I just do not understand how much walking one person can do in such a small area as such in Hotel rooms. we had this 'noise' early morning and late evening. I really do believe that 'warning signs' asking Ladies to remove 'high heels' when in the room for any length of time.

Review 83：More staff needed at breakfast time as service very slow and cups for tea and coffee need to be replaced regularly as non available and I had to go into the bar area to get them. Small jugs for the milk would be helpful as there was only one large jug and you had to wait for the tea to brew before then adding your milk and taking it back to the table. Eco options for the rooms were admirable such as option for not changing the sheets and towels unnecessarily each day which of course meant you were not disturbed unduly. Nice welcome in the room of towel sculpture and petals on the bed for our anniversary which we thought were a nice touch. If you enjoy sitting on your terrace then Room 205 would have the smallest terrace with unfortunately very little room to sit. Ample gardens and the pool downstairs.

Entertainment was very good and food choices excellent but can be on he salty side if that bothers you so ask for salt free when ordering and that will not pose a problem. Breakfasts were ample and cooked options good.A lovely outside terrace for dining with amazing lake views made it special for a celebration.
