Reviews for Hotel Parque
Review 1:Paper thin walls meant noisy neighbors were a sleep hazard. Also I would have preferred a view onto the park.
Review 2:Friendly staff, excellent location. Restaurant has a great view of the see and the San Telmo park. Near the bus station (guaguas).
Review 3:Great location and really helpful staff. When we arrived they gave us a nice room as we told them we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Nice choice of different food at breakfast.
Review 4:noise, but thats ok considering how super central it is
Review 5:-mega location - 30 meters from the bus station, good breakfast, clean rooms, gym, friendly staff, close to the main shopping street and historical center, good wi-fi
Review 6:Double charged for my room and haven't heard anything back from management in over a week, not even an email reply. This destroyed my stay at Parque
Review 7:great staff
Review 8:Twin beds (maybe they were out of double beds or don't have) and no covers for duvets. Closest Las Palmas beach is a 10-15 minute hour drive away (around 8 euro for taxi).
Review 9:Nice 3 star hotel with fresh bathroom (with bathtub) and great curtains for total darkness. Window can be opened and when closed it is soundproofed. Neither much sound from hallway or neighbours. Good breakfast wih both some warm and a lot of cold cuts. Great wifi. Just outside is a nice small park and further away a shopping street with lots of small bars and restaurants. Walking distance to the old town (colonial part). Convenient parking on the streets nearby when their garage is full.
Review 10:the water pressure in the shower was very poor plus we missed having the facility to make a warm drink in the room
Review 11:We stayed 4 nights, excellent value for money in a really good location. But If you want to travel anywhere else on the island the bus station is directly opposite for only a few euros.
Review 12:If I have to nitpick, the water pressure in the shower wasn't great and the coffee at the breakfast buffet could have been a little stronger. But we had no real complaints at all.
Review 13:The staff was very helpful and gave us some great tips (such as Pinchos night in the old town and where to park for free). The locations is great, right in front of San Telmo park and just a 5 minute walk from the beautiful old town. Good beds too!
Review 14:We felt that reception was understaffed. One person when a hotel is at capacity is not enough.
Review 15:The location was great within a short walk to the cathedral in Vegueta.
Review 16:Wifi was poor and unreliable and the staff seemed a bit slow to address a small issue we had.
Review 17:The location is perfect: just by San Telmo park and all the great restaurants in Triana and Vegueta. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location by the sea is also an advantage for runners.
Review 18:This Hotel is absolutely ideal for its location close to the central bus station of Gran Canaria. If you want to explore the island on foot while using buses to get around - you cannot do better than to stay here. All hotel facilities and services are of a good standard and staff is very helpful.
Review 19:Excellent location - one block from seawall (biking/jogging paths that go for miles). Across from Parque Telmo. One block to pedestrian shopping zone of Triana/Vegueta. Suite was well-appointed and great value for the money. Could not have been better.
Review 20:This time we found our room was not as soundproof. We were aware of traffic noise which we hadn't been on our previous stay.
Review 21:Location was great. Breakfasts were supberb. Staff on reception very helpful.
Review 22:Only one person on the small reception deck. Thus checking in can be a little slow when busy.
Review 23:Always as for rooms at the rear, they are generally quieter.
Review 24:Miserable, slow staff on arrival desk. No warm welvcome...A dreadful noisy girl in the coffee shop. Awful...She crashed every plate, cup saucer. She was like a noisy whirlwind. Just awful. The breakfast area was absolutely freezing. Aircon there was ridiculous. Everyone was complaining about it. Also, why such small plates???
Review 25:Location. Standard of all overall. Good value. Comfortable beds. Staff let you down...
Review 26:I found someone else's dirty socks in my nightstand!...
Review 27:Very helpfull personel, great breakfast and nicely located near center and next to bus station and taxis
Review 28:Excelent location, in the city center. Main bus station - at 100 m. Good breakfast, in a room with panoramic view over the ocean. Clean and nice room.
Review 29:No outside sitting areas or terraces. Breakfast poor. Limited hot food and tea machine not hot enough. Choice very limited.
Review 30:Large comfortable rooms. WiFi excellent. Reception pleasant and helpful.
Review 31:Bath slippery, Shower support loose on the wall needs attention. (Limited English news on TV) Sadly no other English programs.
Review 32:Spacious room, large TV (limited English news) no other English programs. Excellent choice at breakfast time. Dinner could be better? Inexpensive Japanese restaurant with a first class menu next to the hotel. Opposite San Thelma Park. Bus station with half hourly service to the airport. 9limited English programs
Review 33:Breakfast was rather disappointing. Quality of the food was not so high, in particular the coffee and the fruits. Staff was competent, but not super friendly.
Review 34:Good location near park and close to pedestrian shopping district. Internet was working properly.
Review 35:Bed mattress too soft, patchy WiFi, in-house parking not possible - full. Luckily there was an underground park place just opposite the hotel, however quite pricey - 18.80 per day.
Review 36:Location, breakfast.
Review 37:-great selection of food available for breakfast, with nice views from breakfast room -free wifi, aircon -balcony -excellent location beside nice San Telmo park, central bus station and a short stroll to the pedestrianised town centre streets with restaurants and shops
Review 38:Appalling state of the bathroom with pubic hairs all over the bath tub. For a hotel that considers itself a three star hotel, this is a massive no no. Absolutely unprofessional and a shame for a hotel for this standing. Breakfast was very disappointing with orange coloured juice (no real juice), fried eggs sinked in oil, poor choice of fruits.
Review 39:Very central location, close to San Telmo bus station and Triana area, one of the main shopping areas in Las Palmas. Very efficient and smiling front desk professional who managed quickly the check in process.
Review 40:All that comes to my mind is the elevator. I was staying in a room at the upper floor, and found the elevator a bit slow.
Review 41:I would say everything. Hotel location, cheerful and helping staff, cleanliness of the room and hotel, breakfast,...and goes on.
Review 42:No sound isolation, I can hear the other guest. Rooms with windows toward street very noisy. A general feeling that everything was used and old but clean. I would not recommend it for families.
Review 43:nothing to not like at this hotel
Review 44:everything...beds comfy. good breakfast and wide range of choice. staff so friendly and helpfull. location is excellent for buses, taxies, shopping.
Review 45:Brilliant location, close to transport and plenty shops and bars/restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable, decent size with effective air conditioning. Large bathrooms with a bath. WiFi speed was excellent.
Review 46:Slow internet
Review 47:Near San Telmo bus station, within walking distance from seaside, shopping street and old town, helpful friendly staff, breakfast included, packed breakfast for me because I left early.
Review 48:Breakfast buffet was average - substantial choice and quantity, but not of the highest quality (especially the fruit juice).
Review 49:Conveniently located next to bus terminal for airport and south of Gran Canaria, but overlooking tree-filled square. 10 minute walk to original old town. Some way from cruise port and commercial centre, but with convenient local buses to get you there.
Review 50:Being able to check into our room on arrival and the helpfulness of the reception staff in advice on where to change money and in arranging a taxi to the airport.
Review 51:The walls were a bit thin.
Review 52:I stayed 7 nights at this hotel in April, 2015. The location is excellent, right beside San Telmo bus station which has connections to all over Gran Canaria. There is a beautiful view from the breakfast room on 6th floor. This hotel is very good value for money.
Review 53:Breakfast tasted like poison . The cook needs to be changed urgently. Better to serve just bread & fruits than the poison on the buffet. Can't imagine why anyone cannot cook simple breakfast ... I.e scrambled eggs
Review 54:Everything except breakfast.
Review 55:Noise late at night from adjoining room, but dealt with quickly by night receptionist when I complained. The usual exhortations in the bathroom to save water, but no plug in either bath or basin.
Review 56:The location in the heart of the old city, next to the bus station and the sea, lots of bars and restaurants nearby, good shopping and sight seeing.
Review 57:A good range and variety of food at breakfast is let down by watered down orange juice and stale cornflakes
Review 58:Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff in an ideal central location
Review 59:Traffic very noisy. Take travel kettle if you want drinks in the room.
Review 60:Very clean and comfortable. Great location for bus station. Easy to get anywhere on the island.
Review 61:Never book a superior apartment. It is outside of the hotel don't have any facilities like wifi or a phone to call to the reception and is expensive! Awful and terrible never book that!!!
Review 62:It have a nice location
Review 63:Plastic mattress protector immediately below the bottom sheet. Lukewarm water in the shower. No shower cap.
Review 64:Large room and bathroom, the latter with natural light and ventilation and a magnifying mirror. Reception staff helpful. Great location for the old town with lots of bars and restaurants - we had the best meal of our one week trip at the Hosteria del Teatro (great food, pleasant staff and attractive decor). Parking (E10 a day) is probably worth it and is in a garage a couple of minutes walk away. There is a place to pull stop in front of the hotel so that you can unload bags and pick up your pass for the garage. Breakfast is OK for the price and taken in a sun filled room on the sixth floor with a sea view. The hotel is on a busy road but we asked for a quiet room and were given one on the side and had no problem.
Review 65:Some noise on mornings from chambermaids. Strong odour of detergents after cleaning.
Review 66:Cleanliness, good beds and wifi. Good location close to bus terminal and old town. Quite nice breakfast room with view on 6th floor. Breakfast otherwise OK, but no proper tea available.
Review 67:Was not happy with breakfast (processed food, bad coffee, but big plus for fresh fruit!) and my room was very noisy. This was an ok hotel, but next time I would propably try a different one.
Review 68:Excellent location (close to bus station), wifi worked ok.
Review 69:We were on fifth floor directly under the restaurant where furniture was moved every morning at six o'clock. Very noisy!
Review 70:Our third visit. Location perfect for transport, shopping and eating.
Review 71:Excellent location, on edge of a small park and very close to bus station from airport and to all parts of the Island. Good value, classy black and white decor and friendly and helpful staff. We'd go back again if the chance arises.
Review 72:Taped music never changed all week..breakfast each morning was like Groundhog Day with Roy Orbison & Sinatra same again... Having said that food was OK.
Review 73:We travelled by bus quite a bit and for this the location was ideal.
Review 74:No English TV Channels. Breakfast better at weekend. Not quite so good during weekdays
Review 75:The price was excellent for the high standard of accommodation. Location excellent, just opposite a park, walking distance of many shops, close to port, close to bus station, taxi stop.
Review 76:My partners luggage was delayed from the arirport so she got it from the reception of the hotel. My partner asked for a paper (to get Insurance compensation) telling when she got her luggage from the reception but the reception and hetel manager refused to give her that althougt we asked for it several times.
Review 77:Quite a lot of reception staff spoke English really poorly and made us feel unwelcome at times, purely because we don't speak Spanish. The room cleaning service was shockingly bad on some days too.
Review 78:The location is great if you're interested in the city and historic side of Las Palmas. Not bad value for money and lovely breakfast. Rooms are spacious.
Review 79:- very friendly and lovely personel - everywhere was so fresh and clean - good location and v safety - nice breakfast and was nice that there was small gym Thank you v much!
Review 80:Location is great! Close to the centre, restaurants and the bus station where buses take you all over the island. Nice and friendly staff. The room was quiet despite the traffic outside.
Review 81:Dinner in the restaurant was not that exciting, but there are plenty of choices nearby.
Review 82:Perfect location close to the bus station, Triana and the old town. Nice big rooms. Not too fancy, but very good quality for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast ok. Free wifi.
Review 83:The useless hot drink machine in the hotel restaurant. I stayed for 4 nights and every morning it was faulty. Long waiting times for that essential morning coffee marred an otherwise good all round experience. Buy a new machine, no . . . buy 2!!!
Review 84:Hotel staff were very helpful with my lack of Spanish language skills. The location was a pleasant walk to and from the old town where great bars and restaurants were located. Directly across the road was a beautiful park with a relaxing outside bar under the trees, highly recommended. Great, would stay there again.
Review 85:Wifi wasn´t working the whole three days we were there - possibly the aftermath of extreme weather. When we´ve stayed before it has been OK.
Review 86:Love this hotel - great location, comfortable, clean, friendly helpful staff and good breakfast choices.
Review 87:Very little.
Review 88:Convenience of location near to San Telmo transport hub. Pleasant room, decent shower. Delightful breakfast room overlooking Parque San Telmo.
Review 89:We complained about a shower that leaked and flooded the bathroom and also the bedroom floor and out into the corridor. It wasn´t mended on the day that we complained or the next day. The electric plug had bare wires showing and the bedside plug didn´t work. The dining room was laid up for breakfast, there were now table clothes, napkins, cutlery etc.etc. We complained to the manager on our day of departure and asked why they hadn´t offered us a different room or mended the shower and were told there was a lack of communication on the part of the hotel. she said she would sort out some type of reclaim for us, but although I have written to the hotel again by e.mail I haven´t had any reply to date. We explained that the flooding was totally unnacceptable and dangerous. My friend actually fell in the bathroom due to the water on the floor and she damaged her wrist. When I told the receptionist this she actually said we had been drinking!!! We are two elderly ladies who only drink tea or coffee.
Review 90:I suffer allergies, and it seems that they got worse while I was there. Rooms were generally clean (nothing to complain) but they might not had been properly aired for a while. The hotel is right in front of a busy street, and the window in the room (although it was a double glass to reduce noise) had not been properly installed and noise would come in through the cracks.
Review 91:location-location-location, right in front of Triana shopping street. The hotel has views to the ocean and to the mountains
Review 92:The ONLY was that the Hotel Parque could have been better, would be if it was free!
Review 93:The hotel Parque was VERY centrally located on downtown Las Palmas. It was within walking distance to historical sites, old Churches, restaurants and cafes, and a vehicle-free shopping area. The hotel staff were friendly and ALWAYS ready to accommodate me. Also, the free breakfast buffet was delicious with hot foods, fresh fruits, assorted juices and pastries!
Review 94:The parking situation was not good. There is a public parking lot at the park across the street, but the receptionist could not tell us about it because then the hotel would be responsible to pay for our parked car!!
Review 95:Osama; the night receptionist, was outstanding!!! He helped us with millions of questions we had. When we came in at midnight, he told us about the Chinese restaurant next door and when we needed a car, he got one for us. The hotel was great---clean, quiet, with a nice breakfast and near everything.
Review 96:no parking
Review 97:good breakfast although uniform ,friendly staff, good location near San Telmo park and autobus station, there is around sops, supermarkets and pubs
Review 98:Nothing.
Review 99:Extremely helpful staff. The receptionist on the night we arrived, despite the fact that it was 23.30hrs wnt out of his way to give us very useful information regarding places to go and how to get there. Location. Two minutes walk from the bus station.
Review 100:The poor soundproofing of the rooms and the 3 lane ring road right outside the front of the hotel where the rush hour begins before 7 in the morning. If you want a lie in make sure you close your window at night
Review 101:the staff were extremely helpful on the front desk. The restaurant staff were very polite an efficient. Rooms were cleaned to perfection.
Review 102:If you have a car to park, parking is expensive, 10 E a day
Review 103:Old town is within walking distance. It is a decent boutique hotel with reasonably sized rooms.
Review 104:The WC in our room took ages to refill - 20 minutes, so not very nice for two people!
Review 105:Very reasonable price, convenient for shopping and old town, room furnishings good quality.
Review 106:Breakfast did not have much choice. Lack of English tv channels.
Review 107:The most comfortable bed ever, and nice fluffy pillows. Free electronic safe. Great location, right next to the Bus station, major shopping area and historical district. Very quiet room.
Review 108:The apartment is not direct part of the building so my opinion is only about the apartment. The location is noisy. Not only from the streets. Also from the neighbours so the night is not very funny. And the mattresses are not very convenient for a long stay from 3 weeks.
Review 109:Excellent friendly and very fast staff. If you have a problem they do everything to solve it immediately. Not far from the bus station, shopping street Triana and a side few to the ocean.
Review 110:Located in the park across the street from the bus station, just 2 minutes from pedestrian zone and heart of the old city. Good breakfast, excelent value for the money.
Review 111:No tea or coffee facilities n your room was a let down. Poor form one could not have a little snack in their room. First ever hotel we couldnt do this.
Review 112:Location, comfort, beautiful park, bus stop taxi rank. A brillant hotel and would cone back. Top class breakfast with lovely staff. The hotel made our stay a terrific one.
Review 113:Wifi was not working Parking option outside too expensive Bad inside acoustic insolation
Review 114:Good price-quality relation Room was well decorated even with some old furniture Nice view to green park and sea from the top floor restaurant Breakfast was nice Acoustic insolation to the outside was OK (at least in my room orientated to a back street). Close to the highway, easy to reach
Review 115:Told wifi would be on next day but wasn't available for our stay. The meal we had for the evening was very basic for what you pay, I would recommend going out from the hotel to eat dinner. (Tea if you are from North!)
Review 116:Brilliant location. Staff excellent. Breakfast good. Room excellent, comfy bed.
Review 117:Coffee!!
Review 118:Helpful and nice people at the reception, great location next to the bus station. Nice breakfast with salty and sweet choice served on a terrace, big room with perfect wifi connection.
Review 119:A little bit expensive.
Review 120:Whole experience was great.
Review 121:Great location and realy nice staff.
Review 122:The breakfast was quite late.
Review 123:The hotel was close everything! The room was very clean.
Review 124:Rooms could be slightly updated
Review 125:Location and great staff
Review 126:Wifi wasn't completely reliable.
Review 127:Very cheap, nice area.
Review 128:Hotel bar was nice but expensive
Review 129:Great location, helpful staff, good value
Review 130:spacious rooms, clean, convenient for old town and bus station
Review 131:There was only one person at reception and it was very difficult for her to handle everything.
Review 132:Our rooms were very nice and large.
Review 133:Staff were fantastic
