Reviews for Hotel Apartamentos Dabarca

Review 1:Could do with an electric kettle to make tea/coffee. Not a great kitchen setup if you are trying to self cater.

Review 2:Great location, helpful staff, great having a washing machine (but you have to ask for one), quiet.

Review 3:We were given our room very early as we had been walking in the rain and were soaked. Backpacks included. The staff were friendly and helpful and we felt warm and dry for the first time in days.

Review 4:We were greeted on arrival by a very rude unfriendly man who told us to come back the following day despite the fact that we had booked room 3 months in advance all in all a terrible experience.

Review 5:The location is very good and the rooms are very clean

Review 6:- probably wouldn't recommend coffee/breakfast at the cafeteria - maybe a few basics in the kitchen (i.e sponge) would be helpful

Review 7:- clean, well equipped apartments - location close walk to old town - helpful staff - added an extra bed for a friend on the day of the booking - free street parking but be careful about leaving the car on the busy street as our car was hit. - cheap - great value for money

Review 8:The only thing we would have liked would have been a few really minor improvements in the kitchen- the fridge needed to be defrosted - the freezer was thick with ice also a sharp knife and a cork screw would have been welcome. Otherwise no complaints at all.

Review 9:A very comfortable stay. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was close to the old town and the river. Apartment was spotlessly clean. Would certainly come again.

Review 10:Very limited crockery and cutlery, but as we only boiled water to make coffee or tea, it wasn't much of an impediment. However, you would be pushed to do much more than that!

Review 11:Great location for visiting the old town. Very helpful staff who advised on the use of public transport, including buses to visit nearby beaches.

Review 12:It’s not really up to any more adventurous self-catering than preparing a light breakfast. Kitchen equipment is very limited, and in our apartment, one of the rings on the two-ring electric hob didn’t work, and the tap was hanging loose from its mounting. There were several other similar problems that didn’t inconvenience us desperately, but gave the impression that the hotel is in need of a touch of maintenance. Shame, because the Dabarca is in an excellent spot.

Review 13:Very easy vehicle access via the N550 Vigo-Santiago road. Free parking usually available in street immediately outside hotel, or there’s a reasonably cheap public car park close by. Very central, five minutes pleasant walk along the Alameda to the town centre. Reception staff welcoming and helpful, particularly Patrick, who is English. Spacious apartment for two people. Wifi was good once we changed rooms.

Review 14:For the 3 nights we where there, the aircondition did not Work. With very nice summer weather this is a problem. We did sleep with Windows open, and there where some noise from the street. The wifi did not Work while we stayed there. The staff was friendly enough, but no action.

Review 15:Size of Apartment.

Review 16:The wifi did'nt work during the whole 5 days we were there. Although the double glazing worked well for the outside noise, the inside of the hotel is very badly insulated and we could hear everything from the other rooms.

Review 17:The location is central yet it was easy to find a parking space. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and it was nice to have it on the outside terrace. Good value for money.

Review 18:Nothing....the facilities were excellent.

Review 19:We liked everything about these facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The appartments are fab, big, lovely kitchen and sitting area. Having a washing machine was an added bonus. Lovely place to stay an extra night or two when walking the Camino.

Review 20:None

Review 21:Yes, we did

Review 22:No kettle or electric jug for making hot water. Coffee/tea cups too small.

Review 23:Comfortable apartment in good location for exploring Madrid.

Review 24:Quiet room and friendly service.

Review 25:Good value, great location

Review 26:Remember to book a non-smoking room as the smell of our bedroom was like an old working men's clubhouse!!

Review 27:The city of Pontevedra was fascinating

Review 28:Bed not too comfortable

Review 29:excellent staff

Review 30:Sparsely furnished kitchen. Could use a knife, a cutting board and a serving bowl.

Review 31:Roomy and convenient.

Review 32:Redecorating going on , noisy at times .

Review 33:Hotel situated near everything, lovely cafe' out on terrace. Staff very accomadating.

Review 34:Wifi very weak. Parking hard to find.

Review 35:The location. Staff. Cleanness. Good breakfast. Washing machine.

Review 36:No wifi

Review 37:Big room,washing machine,nice staff

Review 38:Very helpful English speaking receptionist, he helped as with local travel.

Review 39:If you want a sponge and soap for washing dishes in the little kitchenette they will sell it to you. WIFI only worked the first night of our 3 night stay the end of May.

Review 40:3 nights in a 1 bedroom with living space & kitchenette. Nothing fancy, minimal kitchen supplies, but comfortable sleeping, quiet, clean and good value. Easy walk to the old town.

Review 41:Nothing - additionally there is free parking on the road outside available.

Review 42:Very well located. Patrick on reception spoke exellent English and was very helpful with local knowledge.

Review 43:The wifi didn't work for 4 days soon after I checked in - extremely frustrating given I was there to race a world championship that week and I had to continually walk to one of the few cafes with wifi [when open] to communicate with team mates, check the weather forecasts and radar for training, manage my business and communicate with family and friends.

Review 44:Close to the old town yet very quiet, with blackout-roller blinds, laundry, and kitchenette. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable.

Review 45:Our room had a few maintenance issues: stove didn't work, safe didn't work, toilet seat was loose. They offered to move us though.

Review 46:Central location, nice cafe for breakfast, friendly staff

Review 47:included Breakfast was only a croisant - not enough and even offering to pay for sandwiches was not easy (wait 20 mins).

Review 48:Rooms were exceptionally large and comfortable. only wish we had more time to appreciate. We were met by someone who only spoke Spannish but any minor administration errors were sorted out next morning by the english staff member.

Review 49:Actually no Wi-Fi, poor sound insulation.

Review 50:The staff were perfect: very helpful and friendly, especially Patrick, who solved the problems promptly and efficiently.

Review 51:Plenty of space. Location adjacent to the old part of Pontevedra was great. An easy 500m walk and you were there. A very nice old town area. A surprise packet.

Review 52:Another member of staff was not only unhelpful but rude. He only seemed to be interested in whether we were checking out and if we had paid. We on the other hand were going out for the day and wanted the access door to the street unlocked. He also was not at the front desk but outside when we went to ask for the door to be unlocked.

Review 53:Patrick at Reception was excellent he went out of his way to assist us. He was always friendly, efficient and is certainly in the right job

Review 54:We are unable to think of anything that we did not like about this hotel.

Review 55:This apart-hotel is a few minutes walk from the old city of Pontevedra and the shopping area. We stayed in August 2013 while attending a wedding. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It was spotless with every facility you want including a washing machine and it has family rooms. The staff are polite and extremely helpful. When we arrived a member of staff called Patrick was at reception and he was able to answer all our queries about car routes to beaches, restaurants etc. We had a great time and this hotel contributed greatly to our stay.

Review 56:very spacious and well equipped apartment, within easy walking of the town, with good public parking nearby, incredibly good value for money and with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.

Review 57:Would be helpful to supply mini washing powder pack even at a charge for convenience One sharp knife would also be useful

Review 58:Nice to have extra space with apartment living - washing machine and space for drying is useful addition

Review 59:Basic continental breakfast - tea or coffee, juice and either toast or croissant.

Review 60:Good location to old part of city with lovely park across the road. Nice to have a fridge in the apartment and ability to cook, eat in if you wanted to. Cafeteria/bar on 2nd floor good.

Review 61:I cannot invent!

Review 62:We stayed a night in this hotel during our pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in May 2013. According to my experience, here you pay not for the sleeping room but for the sleeping room with additional hall and kitchen where you can cook you own food according your own test. You also receive additional small room with the washing machine. This is very important thing for the pilgrim. Everything was clean. Room had air conditioner and additional electric heater. All these devices were working properly. Breakfast was in the French style, I mean coffee or tea with croissant and butter. Amazingly but that was enough to feel fed up. That type of breakfast organized here probably because the tourists have they own kitchens in the rooms. All personnel at the reception desk and restaurant spoke fluent English and were very helpful. For me it was the best hotel between Porto and Santiago. I would like use present opportunity and say thank you to all good people of that hotel who made our stay there comfortable! God bless all of you.

Review 63:Although the parking was very secure it was 5 mins. walk from hotel

Review 64:Excellant spacious accomadation. Conveniently located to walk into old town. Well worth a visit.

Review 65:Breakfast was unsufficient considering it's price (6.5 euro) but itwas included in the cost of our room (special offer).

Review 66:We stayed in this hotel on 3 nights duriong our trip over Galicia. Thehotel is very convinient for visiting Pontevedra historical center anddriving to S.-De-Compostela, Bayonna etc.The guy at the receptionPatrick was extremely friendly and helpful. We used free parking alongthye river near hotel.

Review 67:No cutting board utensils need to be updated to wash tableware you need to buy stuff from reception

Review 68:Easy acceess from the level of the city. Good parking facility almost in the city center.

Review 69:I imagine parking could be tricky but I found a spot that was free ofcharge right outside and there is plenty of parking available over theriver if you don't mind a 20 minute walk.

Review 70:Excellent spacious accommodation with everything you could want. A suitefor the price of a single closer to the old town, which is walkable

Review 71:the room seemed to get really hot and the aircon didnt sem to cool it properly

Review 72:nice staff - good value and location. if you get the chance to do a day trip to the Isle de Ons its worth doing and the jetty is only 5 mins walk away.

Review 73:Apartments were excelent and the location was very good. Staff extremely helpful. This was an ideal stop half way through a three week holiday. Excellent spot for touring surounding area

Review 74:My mother and I (son, 44 years old) stayed one night in Dabarca, touringthrough Northern Spain. We had a very pleasant stay in Dabarca. In steadof a hotelroom you will get a small apartment, equipped with kitchen andwashing machine. The hotel is located in a quiet area with free parkingpossible near the hotel. The lady at the reception received us in a veryfriendly way and her English was good. The old city center is at walkingdistance and when you take the exit at the third floor of the hotel, itsafes you some climbing stairs...! The breakfast in the café wassufficient. A good place to stay in Pontevedra. Bart from TheNetherlands
