Review 2：Amazing beach villas on amazing beach. Great food in restaurant.snorkelling,corals and colorful coral fish, sea and giant turtles.Free soft drinks in minibar,Jacuzzi in garden and steam bath in villa, infinity pools,large villa and large villa pool, TOP quality SPA

Review 3：some staff didn't give us the correct information about opining hours of the turtle reserve and when we wanted to visited they were closed, bummer coz we really wanted to visit. Breakfast wasnt as good as expected, the labeling on the dishes were wrong , eg not stating that the grilled tomato had ham or the chicken fries rice was labels veg. fried rice. So always ask. our villa (208) wasnt completely private, the dressing room of the next villa was looking over our pool.

Review 4：the villas design is amazing ( hill top villa ) with the pool facing the sea, but be prepared to see some lizards and cockroaches because your in the middle of the jungle. you either have to ignore them and enjoy the luxury or not visit this amazing resort. the beach is breath taking but somehow very hard to swim in coz the waves are rough. we were very happy with the late check out that they gave us.

Review 7：Transfer from hotel reception/restaurant to villas by golf buggy car was tough. Fast without any safety. Also the swiming pool was so cold. There is no temperature control. Activities were very poor

Review 9：The beach is very dangerous to swim. Breakfast was just good. The villa was clean but we saw many insets in the villa, but it is Seychelles as the end. WiFi was just good and slow most of the time. Private pool was always cold and I couldn't swim for the whole period and when asked the staff, they replied that they don't heat the private pools and you have to come in a hot season ?!!

Review 10：Great Privacy in the Hillside Villa. Amazing views. Nice and helpful staff. Amazing food in Saffron restaurant. Buggy Service is available. Free bicycles are available which we enjoyed with the nice views.

Review 11：Extremely expensive price of the restaurants in the hotel. You need to get out of the hotel to find normal price (and good food too). The quality of the breakfast is slightly lower compared to other similar hotel. We were disturbed by other guests who where smoking just in front of our table.

Review 17：We spent a 7 nights at Banyan Tree Seychelles in mid may and were really disappointed with the facility and the customer service. No where on the hotel's site is mentioned that the beach is very dangerous and you basically cannot swim all year long ( Anse Intendance) due to very strong currents.Whats the point in going all the way to the seychelles if you cannot enjoy the beach?? Only two restaurants available and food is very average for the price. We ordered meat and had to give it back three times in order to have it properly cooked. The baggy service for transportation from and to the hotel lobby is a total mess. We had to spend over an hour waiting on our second day for someone to come and pick us up whereas it shouldnt take more that 5 mins. We found the hotel truly and totally overrated and regret spending our holiday there.

Review 18：Everything about the Banyan Tree was comfort and relaxation. The wonderful staff certainly helped make it a brilliant holiday. I really cant think of anything I didn't like (and that doesn't happen often)

Review 22：I recommend to be booked on half board as otherwise there are no other restaurants around and the prices in the hotel's restaurants are exorbitant. Extremely high prices on food and drinks plus the extra 25% on top of it.

Review 23：We had a beautiful hillside villa with an amazing view of the ocean and of the beach below. Comfort and tranquility at its best. Sunk- in bath with a wonderful view of the ocean !! Own private pool also with the amazing view. Villa 406 is just perfect.

It's true that the price is high, but the intimacy of our private pool, the impecable service and the general atmosphere was totally worth it. It was the right choice for sure.

Review 36：As in many Seychelles hotels service can be a little slow.Also as other Seychelles hotels they don't always have all the ingredients to make dishes/cocktails etc... frustrating in a 5* hotel. The hotel is really not near anything else being in the south so if you plan on doing more than lazing on beach or pool like seeing Victoria or the rest of the island you really need a car or plan for a taxi/guide to take you around, nothing is within walking distance, which wasn't a problem for us as we had stayed in the North at the start of the trip and seen the other places then. The walk from hillside villas to beach & restaurants etc is a little far. Though there is a buggy service, sometimes with a little wait at busy periods. This was the best hotel we stayed in in the seychelles but be warned service even in 5* hotels isn't the same as Europe, USA or Asia... Not a cheap hotel, & perhaps a little overpriced for the level of service ( running out of ingredients, slow service etc ) & age of the place which although has been kept well for 20 or so year old hotel is beginning to look a little tired round the edges... I guess you pay for the pristine beach, views & individual pools, overall a great hotel though if you can stretch to it!

Review 37：The beach is fantastic, fine white sand & turquoise water, if alittle choppy at times.Amazing infinity pool with hardly any people - even in August! Well designed with an authentic colonial/creole feel in keeping with the country. Breakfast was good, great selection Having a private pools in all rooms is a nice touch. On checkout we had till 9.30pm till we had to leave for our flight but the hotel let us change to another room free of charge which was right on the beach, a nice gesture where many hotels would charge for this service. Thai restaurant very good. Buggy service to take you to villas. Villas well spread out giving privacy. Great view from breakfast room/ one of the restaurants & the bar looking over intenance bay. Polite & helpful staff. Overall a lovely hotel with good well planned out communal areas,nicely designed choice of restaurants & nice touches.

Review 69：With BOOKING.COM. once you commit there is no going back...and then you don't get what you paid for. We booked a 2 BR villa for 4 nights, but got it only for 3 nights, and instead were given separate 1 BR villas for the first night which didn't suit us at all. Banyan Tree told us it was a "booking problem", and gave a token discount. I loved the beach because it was rough, but everyone else didn't like that because they couldn’t snorkel. There were also a few problems with locks not working on the rooms, but they were fixed quickly enough.

Review 70：Beautiful location. We had a 2 bedroom double-pool villa with butler. Very nice, very spacious, beautiful beach, excellent service. The butler prepares your breakfast at your outdoor dining table (included in the room rate)...

Review 71：The fact that the pre cancelation is 15 days prior to cancellation and the fees is 100% of the room charge and that i couldnt check out late before the flight which costed me 1000 euros

Review 73：After a long flight I would expect my room to be ready and if it is notbecause I arrived early I would expect to be told quickly and to begiven some alternatives. It has taken the receptionist more than 30minutes to tell us that our room was not ready and she was not friendlyat all. I will leave this experience aside so it does not influence myother comments. The resort/hotel could do a lot better using itsincredible location and beach. Unfortunately location and beach aloneare not enough if they are expecting people to pay this much! There areno available hotel cars and if you need to go to another locationoutside the resort you will have to wait for a taxi for 10 – 30 minutes.I do not mind paying but make the service available. There was a lot ofsand over the carpet by the bed from previous gusts possibly waking onthe carpet after the beach walk but was not vacuumed properly before wewere checked in. The Jacuzzi and the swimming pool were not clean and wehad to ask them to come and clean the Jacuzzi but it has taken a fullday for it to be ready again! The level of the resort cleanness isreally poor and they could do much better work to make it cleaner andfresh. The landscaping and garden maintenance is not so good. They claimto provide 24 hours room service and housekeeping service but when Icalled once during my stay after midnight to ask for coffee and water Iwas asked if it was ok to deliver them the next morning! Only when Ioffered to come and collect it myself did they agree to deliver it andthey delivered it after more than an hour. A nice hotel manager (we methim twice) but he need to be more firm with his staff and possibly needmore staff and resource to make a good use of the resort.

Complaintletter sent to Banyan Tree Seychelles and Head Office - 2 months havepassed and still no response. Same price bracket as Four Seasons, butinferior in every way. Not a swimming beach (in comparison to the restof the island)
