Reviews for Aux Armes de France

Review 1:Our triple room was very spacious, it was 2 times bigger than the rooms we had before, even the bathroom is the size of the standard room in other hotels - it was really good to have so much space. We enjoyed the solid wooden furniture - it feels very appropriate for this place. There was a great view from our windows - old streets, ancient towers. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful.

Review 2:The reception is closed most of the day and it feels like you are in an abandoned castle... No elevator in the hotel and the rooms are located on the second and third floor.

Review 3:The room was clean and the the location is good, 15 minutes from Colmar and 15 minutes from Riquewihr.

Review 4:in the morning : The lady at the reception wasn't very kind - she said -I do my work and do not ask me more-I am not from here ! She was also quite angry to us that we didn't take breakfast ( we had had a good meal the night before ;-). Otherwise all STAFF very very kind and helpfull

Review 5:Excellent food - the reason we go here on a regular basis- staff very amable - rooms are fine - cosy -with all comfort - good value for money. As we arrive always packed -it is nice to be able to put our car in the closed garage (behind the hotel). We used to come with a pet-who was always wellcome ;-)

Review 6:All the staff were delightfully welcoming and helpful, whether at the Front Desk or in the dining room. Our room was comfortable, clean and a good size, if a bit old fashioned - the TV had no English channels. The greatest strength of this hotel lies in its dining room where we enjoyed some outstanding meals - it should be noted that the dining room is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays (apart from for breakfast)

Review 7:No bar, no lift. Had to lug suitcases up 3 floors. Restaurant has fine dining aspirations but sent back rack of lamb as it arrived raw. No coffee or tea making facilities in room and no bar to buy any. Room clean and bed comfortable but very old fashioned and out dated

Review 8:Staff were friendly. Good location to Colmar.

Review 9:No lift and bedrooms began on the second floor Dinner was disappointing

Review 10:Staff changed room to accomadate a walking stick user Private free parking

Review 11:A well located hotel, good comfort and excellent cooking. In the heart of the "Route des vins"

Review 12:nothing!

Review 13:Fabulous hotel with staff who are attentive without being obtrusive. Hotel is great and restaurant is fabulous. Would recommend anytime.

Review 14:Good food and the baby alarm gave perfect reception in the dining room so we could have a lovely meal without 10 month old child !

Review 15:Wonderful location. Easy to jump down into Colmar, Kayserberg and the rest of the Alsace. Kind, friendly and professional staff. Super value.

Review 16:Restaurant and breakfast pricey

Review 17:nice comfortable room, quiet location. Friendly staff. Room excellent value for money

Review 18:The old hotel, with excellent facilities. Pleasant helpful staff, and an amazing menu.

Review 19:Friendly, attentive staff in old Alsatian hotel. Delicious food. Great location.

Review 20:- great traditional hotel building - very large rooms - great restaurant

Review 21:Great location. Close to Colmar, and the wine road. Plenty of parking. Very friendly staff and excellent service. I speak very little French, but they found someone to translate and could not have been kinder. The restaurant is excellent, and my room #4 had a terrace which we used after a day on the wine road to enjoy wine, cheeses and french bread! Wonderful!

Review 22:Nothing. All perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 23:Wonderful staff and perfect location for the Alsace wine road. Amazing breakfasts and excellent in-hotel chef dinner.

Review 24:hotel is old and "worn out", all rooms need refurbishment, I had a room under the attic and no airconditioning, no elevor (on 4th floor) so all in all the rooms are too expensive; not enough value for money but compensated by friendliness and good restaurant and breakfast.

Review 25:Very hospital, excellent restaurant and outstanding ratio quality/price

Review 26:The staff was quite pushy with offering other services like breakfast and dinner in the restautant attached to the hotel

Review 27:The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and parking is for free

Review 28:digging up the road outside without prior warning. No fault of the hotel!

Review 29:The food was outstanding and service excellent from restaurant staff. Reasonable price for relative luxury

Review 30:Good location along Routes de Vin which was easy to reach while traveling by auto.

Review 31:A little dated but no big deal.

Review 32:Great location, nice small town with a few good restaurants, clean hotel, good wi-fi.
