Reviews for Les Jardins de Ramel

Review 1:i refuse to complain about lack of WIFI as quite frankly :live without it for a few hours!

Review 2:wonderful location;spacious, clean, well equipped room with lovely balcony and view;perfectly situated;very helpful staff.excellent value for money.

Review 3:The glasses in the cupboard were dirty. The corridor looks a bit low-class ("youth hostel") but that's ok for the price.

Review 4:Small walking distance to centre of Bagnères. Clean and well-kept apartment. Quiet location.

Review 5:It came as a surprise that we had to bring our own sheets and towels and clean our own apartment much less the advertised free wifi which was between 50-60 metres away in the main foyer only (they need to investigate the new technology which utilises the power circuitry to connect to the wifi).

Review 6:This facility falsely advertises boutique facilities whereas the reality is very poor amenities quite a distance away from the main hotel facilities.

Review 7:Towels and sheets cost 5 euro each per person, which was not indicatedbefore I booked as well as having to make our beds. Wifi was notavailable in the rooms, ,we had to go to a small room near receptionistto use the internet. We also had to ensure the kitchen was clean beforewe left otherwise we would incur a fee - this also was not indicatedbefore booking.

Review 8:The apartment was spacious, modern and clean. The receptionist was veryhelpful when we required directions.

Review 9:As a stop over for 1 night it was OK but I can not imagine staying for longer. Too basic, too "do it yourself" style. If you're looking for a little bit more - move on...

Review 10:The beds were uncomfortable but this was the only thing that I would complain about. We also had to pay for the bedding as extra which i was surprised about because it wasn't so cheap but all was reasonable quality and clean.

Review 11:Had all the facilities a family with young children needed and staff were helpful. It was great to have plenty of hot water too.

Review 12:It's true no wifi in rooms. But on a skiing holiday I didn't have time to miss it really. I have stated that the supply of hot water is good and this is true but the mixer taps used allow for scolding hot water to be supplied so should be monitored for young children's use.

Review 13:The room was a good size and looked modern with all furniture and facilities working well and with a nearly new look. There was always plenty of hot water on demand. Lots of storage space available.

Review 14:If you are a wi fi freak, which I am not, you need to be aware that the laundrette is the only place for accessing it. Tables and chairs are provided. There are three apartment blocks, and if you are in the furthest apartment block it means a walk each time you want to use it which if you are on the top floor as we were would mean a bit of an inconvenience.

Review 15:Within 5-10 minutes (max) walking distance of the town centre and ski lift if you are going in winter, so an excellent location. Room was spacious and reasonably well equipped, though if flying, bringing cleaning equipment, bedding etc (not provided) is not really practical, though it can be hired.

Review 16:Wifi connection is on in the laundry room - which is not a nice place to do your surfing or emails as the machines are frequently in use. In addition the connection frequently broke down and the wifi server wouldn't allow me to connect with my e mail server - so I had to go to cafes anyway to do this anyway.

Review 17:Nice clean flat with large south facing balcony that opened onto both the living and bedrooms. Adequately equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed

Review 18:The complex is a bit stark and the hire of sheets and towels were extra. We stayed only two days - would be more suitable for longer stays of one week. Have to clean the apartment on leaving. For short stays a hotel room would be better.

Review 19:The apartment was quiet and mid-way from the main street and the train station.

Review 20:No complaints.

Review 21:This is a modern and well equipped flat in a series of apartment blocks built into the garden of a former grand house that is now a hotel (although shut for refurbishment). The location is quiet and very attractive. The living space is pleasant and reasonably spacious, including a balcony. It was good value too.

Review 22:Rooms were very basic, absolutely no frills. Bad smell from cleaning products or somewhere, though apartment was clean. Kitchen very small, very little worktop space, had to ask for kettle. Views not great, but apparently they give those staying a few nights the poorer views. Was it good value at £200 for 3 nights plus £30 linen hire? I don't think so - will be using other apartments in Luchon next time.

Review 23:The beds were comfy. There was enough space in the apartment for 4. Nice green space between the blocks. Easy car parking.

Review 24:Supher smell of the spa. Apartment was pretty basic, no comfortable seating. Grounds a bit on the scruffy side. 1 apartment key between 4 adults. Booking.com directions would have sent us to a street at the other end of the town.

Review 25:Location, the town, the mountains, cafes and restaurants

Review 26:Facilities could best be described as 'Spartan'. No Wi-Fi in rooms. These days, this is a must have. Accommodation felt like 'dormitory style', for 'hotel price'.

Review 27:Location.

Review 28:Hard beds, poor shower and reluctant cleaner. We were transferred from the Hotel Majestic due to flooding, but they tried to charge the same price. Unfortunately the only accommodation in France I visited where not a word of English was spoken by the receptionist, which made negotiating a discount for the basic facilities difficult.

Review 29:Room size, kitchens, location

Review 30:Bed linen and towels are not included, office closes early so if you come later you are left with no sheets and no towels. They left us a phone number but we had a very hard time making contact. This facts should be emphasized in the hotel description.

Review 31:Clean spacy apartment. Kichen well equiped. Wonderful view. The lady in charge very nice and helpful, once we managed to contact her.

Review 32:Inside hallways feel like a dormitory. No ambience or atmosphere. Apartments are large but have no soul. I rented sheets and they had holes in them. They do not make the bed for you if you rent. There is only wifi in the hot laundry room. Very inconvenient.

Review 33:The location is good.

Review 34:No WiFi, no swimming pool, no direct reception. Had to check in at the hotel next to.

Review 35:The appartment was very clean, good location, complete kitchen

Review 36:No wifi Only in two areas and it was incredibly slow. Poor lightening in the apartments.

Review 37:Very good and quiet location. Lovely gardens.

Review 38:wifi in public area only.

Review 39:The view from the balcony was fantastic, the apartment was simple but perfect for our needs.

Review 40:No wifi could be locked into.

Review 41:Clean and reasonably comfortable.

Review 42:Fantastic location in a beautiful town with good restaurants and so close to the mountains

Review 43:It has no character and the floors are thin, so you can hear all that is going on above.

Review 44:Big appartment

Review 45:staff très arrangeant

Review 46:Excellent value for money , great location , loads of space

Review 47:nothing

Review 48:room view at the mountains

Review 49:Nothing

Review 50:Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Just an easy five minute walk to ski lift, bars and restaurants.

Review 51:No wifi in room, had to walk and stay in a different building. Booked this place because advertised free wifi.

Review 52:Very clean, spacious and well-equipped rooms - 5 minutes walk to the main street in Luchon. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

Review 53:Everything

Review 54:Complex not very inviting No staff available on Public Holidays

Review 55:Fairly spacious units Close to town

Review 56:Basic apartments - suitable for cycling/hiking holiday, kitchen equipped above the expectation. Very good

Review 57:We stayed there for four nights, wonderful place worth every penny. The location is just perfect. Clean, peaceful and nearly all of the furniture is brand new. It's a pitty about the wifi

Review 58:Linen was extra The first appartment we were given had a broken attachment so the shower would not stay fixed to the wall. The second appartment that we moved to smelt of dog. Wi-fi was free but only available in recrption.

Review 59:Location, free parking and size of appartment

Review 60:We were put in building 2 which had no ramp for push chair whilst building 1 did.

Review 61:Clean, well positioned, a little expensive for out of season but acceptable for 1 night stay.

Review 62:very small beds , hard matrasses. all hangers in cupboard were broken. toaster was broken. paper pilllowcases, no cotton pillowcases available so we requested extra sheets to cover the pillows with. approx. 700 mt from cable cart so walking with ski equipment was no option (to heavy to far) , so we had to go by car but there are few parking facilities, resulted in a lot of waiting. all together a very basis apt. we had no other option because when we booked in oct. everything was already fully booked. tip; in school holidays book everything!! well in advance! ski lessons (very few english speaking instructors), restaurants, hotels, etc. although the pistes are great we wouldn't go to Luchon. In general, (with a few exceptions) not a very welcoming atmosphere for other nationalities than the French...

Review 63:great pistes! we stayed 1 night in Hotel Le Concorde, the owners are warm and wonderful people who made us feel very welcome.

Review 64:Unfortunately (and out of the residence's control) there had been a major flood a month before so the grounds (lawns) had washed away which affected the aesthetics of the complex.

Review 65:only a 5 minute walk to the main street. excellent rental property - clean and spacious enough. We arrived late and they had done everything for our arrival despite the reception being closed. Well equipped apartment.

Review 66:Apartment was basic, comfortless and could of done with a good clean.Looked nothing like the photos. Balcony dirty and littered thick withdebris. Beds too hard.

Review 67:Not much, good location easy access to village centre.

Review 68:Very small point- we all found the beds a bit hard. Otherwise perfect.

Review 69:Everything- very comfortable quiet well located appartment, looking out on a lovely park with wild rabbits jumping around at night. 5 mins walk from the main street of Luchon, easy acess to everything. Front desk lady at the majestic hotel pleasant and very helpful. I would definately stay there again.

Review 70:Despite the garden was not too much neat and tidy the dog was not allowed to go unleashed (what???). The common facilities were really dirty and it seemed the apartment had not been cleaned for years.

Review 71:The environment is really peaceful, the apartment was close to the city center and the beautiful surroundings.

Review 72:Park was very dirty and neglected. A shower grip was missing to hold upthe shower spray

Review 73:Apartment very spacious. Furniture was new. High water pressure. 10%discount on meals at the hotel restaurant. Could have dinner till 22:00

Review 74:That the cleaning is not included and you have to clean the apartment. Check-out time is very early.

Review 75:I like everything except the early check-out and that the cleaning is not included

Review 76:We only learned after making the booking that we had to take our own bedlinen & towels which was lucky as the charges for hiring these wasexpensive. Also we hired what we believed was the best value apartmentfrom Booking.com but on getting there we could have hired a 1 bedroomedapartment which would have been ideal for us and much cheaper. So verydisappointed with Booking.com

Review 77:Easy walk to centre. Aparthotel so gave us independance and next door toThe Majestic Hotel which is also owned by the same Group the artment wasquite well equipped.. Th

Review 78:Lack of service: 1) You need to pay for towels & bedsheets (30-35 euros per 2 people) 2) WiFi is only at the reception (another building) and was not available for the most of time 3) No air condition! 4) Rooms are not cleaned, you need to bring your garbage to another building and throw it there 5) Checkin is late (4 pm) 6) No soap, shampoo, cleanser for dishes

Review 79:Large rooms with good furniture, kitchen and balcony

Review 80:It was a spacious bright appartment with good self catering facilities, clean and comfortable and well located near the centre of the lovely Bagneres-du-Luchon

Review 81:Practical. Has everything you need to be independent.

Review 82:No wifi in the appartment.

Review 83:The appartment ist clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet. Good location.
