Reviews for La Posada del Moro
Review 1:Our stay was very very disappointing. The hotel seems to be empty, very few guests. They did not bother to prepare the beds at the pool or run the fountains. The hotel seemed to be in winter sleep while it was mid September. We booked a superior room with view on the gardens, when we arrived we got a standard room with a view on a terrace. When we complained, we got another room with a better view. In the village all restaurants were closed. Dinner in the restaurant was horrible as well.. If you like French fries drowning in fat this is your place to eat. When we arrived we asked to cancel the second night. They agreed, this was not a problem. However when checking out they told us to pay 50% of the cancelled night! We were very happy to leave here. Worst stay of our holiday
Review 2:Room was clean
Review 3:We had two lovely evenings at the beginning of June having our evening meal and drinks on the patio. There was no written menu and the hostess spoke as much English as we did Spanish but that was part of the charm - guessing what we'd chosen to eat!!!
Review 4:El hotel tiene un jardin muy bonito y tranquilo, no se escucha ruido ninguno, salvo el de los pájaros. El lugar ideal para descanzar. La comida excelente, y la hospitalidad de Julia y Lucia inmejorable.
Review 5:nothing
Review 6:we liked the old building a lot. The rooms are great as well. The food prepared by the two sisters is really good. All local ingredients. It was low season when we were there so there were no other guest. we did not mind it as it was just very relaxing.
Review 7:Breakfast was disappointing but should not expect an English breakfast in Spain.
Review 8:The family running the place and the hotel and grounds are all lovely.
Review 9:extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, clean and nicely furnished room, beautifully decorated public areas, diverse and fresh breakfast. Best place to stay in summer as the outdoor areas are very green and heat isn't intense. Free parking outside. Dinner is delicious with homemade food.
Review 10:No WiFi outside public areas.
Review 11:Very friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Review 12:no wifi in rooms

Review 18:Big room
Review 19:Friendly staff, good location, very clean. We were there in the offseason so it was quiet but everyone was very accommodating to us.

Review 23:Lovely place to stop, relax and enjoy. Great family run hotel with an environment to ensure all guests are made welcome and special. The town itself is very interesting, very little English spoken. Great Tapas bars and restaurants to choose from with friendliness met all around.
Review 24:Very nice getaway in the mountains. It was recommended by a friend of mine and I too would recommend it. A wonderful spot and city for Senderos and aguardiente!
Review 25:The room wasn't ready when I arrived, OK I arrived early but it still wasn't ready an hour after check in time started. Staff sometimes hard to get hold of.
Review 26:Very friendly service. Beautiful house and grounds. Good WiFi. Good food available in the restaurant/cafe. too s very good size and we'll equipped.
Review 27:Staff very difficult to locate - very little English understood, hencean incorrect bill and no breakfast available on two mornings - thefirst morning the breakfast, charged extra, was extremely poor nohairdryer in our room
Review 28:Swimming pool and lovely garden covered patio comfortable sitting areas
Review 29:Very limited English spoken, rooms dark, no refrig, somewhat difficultto get to..best access is only from Seville. Recommend gps just becauseof poor signage. Staff friendly but scarce. Breakfast included andplentiful but a bit "rustic." Outdoor areas are not wellmaintained..not dirty just "shaggy."
Review 30:The facility itself is stunning..marble, glass, fountains, pool, loungeareas w/ sofas/chairs/reading material, terrace, large pool.Rooms are spacious & pleasant w/ good beds but old fashioned anda bit dark. Quiet and relaxing Spanish mountain town
Review 31:The breakfast is awful. The staff are incompetent. The standard rooms are disappointing and overpriced.
Review 32:The grounds and public areas of this hotel are delightful. The swimming pool is wonderful.
Review 33:Not all the rooms overlook the gardens. Some are at the front overlooking the cafeteria and I imagine they would be noisy in high season.
Review 34:The staff were extremely friendly, the grounds were attractive and spacious with areas to get away and relax. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Location slightly away from the centre of town was good.
Review 35:The hotel doesn't look much from the road but it has some charm, with a nice garden and pool at the rear. Its a short walk to the town, which has some charm in a quiet low key sort of way. Some good walks near by.
Review 36:Sachets of shampoo in the shower. Completely lowered the tone of what was a lovely room
Review 37:The setting is excellent and walking distance to the village as well as being close to the countryside.
Review 38:The hotel location the decor, friendliness of the staff, cleanliness, quality of the food and the comfort of the rooms. A very special thank you to Julia and Lucia for making our stay as pleasant as possible, and for all their advise of places to visit in the surrounding Sierra Morena which are absolutely awesome. As for the town of Cazalla de la Sierra a great place to visit with wonderful tapas bar and good restaurants, a place to return for sure, highly recommended to everyone who loves nature.
Review 39:The friendly staff always at your service and recommending areas tovisit as the surrounding Sierra Morena are extremely beautiful, thehotel food is excellent and value for money including a goodbreakfast to wake up to,. I will highly recommend the hotel toeveryone. Thanks to Lucia and Julia for making our stay so enjoyablewe will definitely return.
Review 40:No dislikes; would have preferred there to be a safe in the room, for convenience rather than because we felt in any way insecure.
Review 41:We loved the quality of decor and facilities in the room, the lovely spacious gardens and pool, the secure parking and sitting outside the bar in late afternoon after a long day's drive, listening to music and enjoying a drink (or three).
Review 42:The breakfast was dire. It was served by a miserable woman who was more content on getting her own food than the paying guests. Also the gardens and swimming pool were in need of some care. I know it is only April, but we still paid!!
Review 43:The room was spacious with a lovely view over the garden.
Review 44:The hotel was freezing cold with no central heating switched on in acold march weekend. The breakfast was of poor quality and limited choice
Review 45:The location and friendly staff
