Reviews for Silken Alfonso X

Review 1:Great location, parking availiable under hotel, friendly & serviceminded staff with language skills. Large clean rooms with great terraces and lounge furniture. Will definitely come back to Silken Alfonso X and Ciudad Real, which was a nice town.

Review 2:Very difficult to find as building work on adjacent site hid the entrance.

Review 3:Very comfortable and at €40 for a double room, outstanning value. Location in centre of the town.

Review 4:For a 4 star hotel there was no restaurant, no bar, no pool and the towels were threadbare. More like a Spanish hostel than a four star hotel.

Review 5:Location and had parking but it was access was difficult especially with a big car!

Review 6:None of my request concerning bed preference and parking reservation had been confirmed or declined by the hotel, so consequently none was provided. I think the hotel has a problem communicating with Booking. Arrived in town during saturday procession and since my parking reservation was declined ended having to park in the street. Usually wouldn't complain about such thing but since apparently everybody was at this procession the streets were packed. Ended parking a kilometer away from the hotel. While I was in the parking adventure the hotel managed to charge my credit card for the stay without even asking or me seeing the room first which I find a rude way of handling your guests! My iphone was unable to join their wifi network, and it usually works fine on other networks.

Review 7:Location of the hotel was perfect, just off the main city square. Good value for the money.

Review 8:Bed rather hard but I do have back problems.

Review 9:Location in centre of town. quiet room with good aircon. Clean. excellent en suite. Secure underground parking with direct access to hotel floors

Review 10:Many things, unfortunately: A) we arrived at 1 AM, my wife pregnant and my 6-yr old sun sleeping. The clerk did not even bother to help with our 6 pieces of luggage B) beds horribly uncomfortable and hard, pillow too soft and thin C) towels old, torn and ugly D) bed linen dirty and with holes

Review 11:Nothing

Review 12:Several requests have been made before our arrival with no response from the hotel, including parking that in the hotel they said we could use the public one for same price but it was the double. Also we should have been informed before arrival that it was a public festival during all night long (until 07:00) on the hotel street, and we asked for a quiet room.

Review 13:I didn't like the rooms too small and old fashion. The bathroom was destroyed because the water from the bath came out into the bathroom floor and got everything on the floor destroyed and wet. The shower very bad.

Review 14:It is nicer the building outside than the rooms .

Review 15:The car lift to the car park I found a complete nightmare, and had to leave my husband to drive our Opel Astra into the lift and the garage. The car was a very tight squeeze in the lift and the pillars in the garage were difficult to negotiate.

Review 16:The hotel is central, easy to find, with easy access to the arterial roads when leaving The staff are helpful and the hotel was beautifully presented We had the 3euro breakfast, which was good value for money

Review 17:No room tea/coffee making facilities

Review 18:Great location, quality and value for money , will recommend.

Review 19:situation ideale

Review 20:The parking b cause we hace a big car and was a complícate the parking the test was pk

Review 21:For the price was ol

Review 22:The underground parking

Review 23:aitcon not too effective

Review 24:location superb and staff very friendly

Review 25:Very small room wi-fi inefficient bathroom small it's in Ciudad Real, which is not a nice place to visit

Review 26:It had a roof and walls

Review 27:Nothing to dislike! Perfect!

Review 28:Everything! Amazing price, clean, comfortable, big room, amazing bathroom!

Review 29:The hotel is well situated in the town centre and quiet. We did not eat in the hotel

Review 30:Very noisy early morning, and electrics need attention

Review 31:Location is good

Review 32:Everything is good.

Review 33:No pets

Review 34:Location

Review 35:To use the hotel's car park you would be advised to drive a very small car.

Review 36:The hotel was well placed in town. All in all a good place to stay.

Review 37:Location is excellent. The parking is interesting, a little challenging but directly under the hotel.

Review 38:parking availability

Review 39:location, price were excellent finding the hotel was challenging and parking was a bit annoying but overall we would recommend.

Review 40:Lack of bar or refreshment of any kind.

Review 41:breakfast, location

Review 42:under ground parking which they have is horrible, its so narrow & very difficult to park

Review 43:very centrally located.

Review 44:The hotel carpark could cause a problem for some people as it is accessed via a very small car lift. A very old fashioned TV.

Review 45:The hotel is in the heart of the city and yet is quiet as it is situated in a pedestrianised street

Review 46:The wi-fi did not work. The garage is Very small and the entrance is too small. A big car can not enter. we were forced to park on the public park nearby.

Review 47:Central location but Very quiet, as the area arround is interdict to cars. confortable beds and excelente cleanning.

Review 48:Prior to booking I was told that the on site garage would accommodate a car under six metres. I have this in writing. I think they meant 6 feet. I had to park in a public garage at twice the price. The room was dirty with chewing gum stuck to the carpet. the restaurant is a local take away. Nothing like the advert. I had the superior room. Nothing superior about it.

Review 49:Friendlyness of receptionist

Review 50:Well appointed rooms with a wonderful breakfast buffet..lots of choice and the hot food is actually hot! Spotless parking garage, well lit and unbelievably clean!

Review 51:A/C was off and restaurant closed for the off-season (this info not available when I booked and I booked specifically because it had a restaurant that got decent reviews). Stuffy and overheated rooms faced a tiny courtyard and it was very hard to cool the rooms down and get air circulating. Terrible typical Spanish long and low 2-person pillow that is impossible to use if you are used to North American or British pillows. If you're in a courtyard room when windows are likely to be open then expect to hear everything coming from all the other rooms facing the courtyard.

Review 52:Good off-season price (45 Euros) which included an excellent buffet breakfast, with a central location off interesting squares, in a real central-Spain town. Lots of toiletries (if you're into that) and a bidet in the bathroom.

Review 53:Kubi Wireless sucks! Connection was slow, inconvenient and limited to web.

Review 54:Internet is very poor and the parking is very hard to find and the internal parking is expensive

Review 55:The location and the area around

Review 56:It hasn't a room for disabled person with accessories. Only abig bedroom.

Review 57:It is in a good position.

Review 58:The noise and when something was not working it was not put right

Review 59:The ambiance and comfort
