Reviews for Palacio de los Salcedo
Review 1:Nothing to do with the hotel, but on the journey home we discovered the paintwork on the car had been vandalized in the underground public car park. We know this as there was a smell of paint thinners in the car park , the day before, but we did not notice it applied to our car.
Review 2:The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel has amazing architecture. It has an exelllent location in Baeza with a near by municipal car park which offered a special rate for weekly parking.
Review 3:Parking is a bit difficult - you have to remember to keep buying from the parking machine. Pillows not so good.
Review 4:The architecture and the courtyard in the middle of the building
Review 5:Parking nearby may be a challenge but underground parking is just about 5 minutes walking, so it's not a real problem.
Review 6:Very nice feeling of staying in an old palace; almost parador :)
Review 7:You couldn't close the window of the bathroom because the lock was broken. It was a problem because it was very cold (-7) outside. The Room itself was quite warm.
Review 8:Beautiful building and very affordable price.
Review 9:The beds were quite hard. They could benefit from a thick quilted topping to mitigate the hardness. No parking on premises and while the public parking was nearby, it was a little auckward to get to it. The room had a musty smell to it but that is fairly common in rustic style hotels. All the key cards had to be reconfigured the next day. Shower head would not stay upright.
Review 10:The look and feel The position was excellent, right in the middle of town Staff was helpful Breakfast was adequate.
Review 11:Discription of the room. Private terrace turned out to be public and facing the beautiful inner courtyard. Other cheaper rooms have no windows at all.
Review 12:Peaceful and beautiful
Review 13:Very centrally located in the old town, near many bars/restaurants and the historic sights. Public car park 5 mins walk (€10 per day) but drove the car to the front door to collect our luggage. (Pedestrian street but can drive up for loading/unloading). Beautiful old building, very grand. We had a lovely room/bathroom and the central 'courtyard' for breakfast was stunning.
Review 14:Nothing to tell
Review 15:Nice hotel Good location Very quiet
Review 16:la petite fenêtre donnant sur le patio nous a surpris au début puis nous nous sommes accoutumés Le personnel est vraiment très gentil
Review 17:The staff was really friendly.
Review 18:I had to leave the hotel early but the breakfast was served only at 8:30. It maybe normal in Spain but very inconvenient.
Review 19:Atmosphere
Review 20:Nothing!
Review 21:Stunning building, beautifully restored, lovely rooms well maintained and so close to the main Plaza
Review 22:Given the super dining room, a shame that it was not used even for breakfast. Difficulty finding the hotel due to poor signing/pedestrianised areas and no parking.
Review 23:Beautiful building/rooms, spacious and elegant, tastefully modernised. Convenient central location in an extraordinary and wonderful town.
Review 24:Not much comfort in the room. Nowhere to sit except on the bed.No central heating, but they brought us a heater when we said we were cold. Not up to the usual four star rating.
Review 25:The building. A 16th century listed building. The friendly and helpful staff
Review 26:Water temperature is set at just hot enough for a comfortable shower. Too bad if you like a hotter shower or want a soak in the full length bath provided in ensuite.....but it does encourage water conservation.
Review 27:Old palace, renovated in keeping with its history. Very comfortable twin beds with good quality linen and pillows. Good size room with lovely decor and bathroom. Small table and 2 seats in room
Review 28:Excellent location & breakfast Nice atmosphere
