Reviews for Hotel Campos de Baeza

Review 1:As the hotelroom and bathroom had been redone up to standards, the curtains were clearly unchanged and looked old. The breakfast was more than simple with old bread and luke warm water for tea.

Review 2:Nice view from the balcony to the siërra's far away!

Review 3:Loaded with snacks and drinks to celebrate our anniversary on the terrace, which according to "facilities" was available, we found that no pleading could get the staff to turn on the light. So, exit terrace!

Review 4:It could have been a nice view if the window hadn´t been blocket by a staircase.

Review 5:There was a big comfortable room with a view over the valley and large modern bathroom. The room was quiet and the small 'old Renaissance town' of Baeza was a comfortable 7-10 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was not included but good value for an extra 5 euro. Parking was easy across the road on a vacant block. There is no general dining room service for lunch or dinner, but meals are close by in the town.

Review 6:Restraunt was closed as was theroof top bar. Possibly because it wasn't busy.

Review 7:Nice hotel, fantastic view over the olive groves. Drinks prices were good. Room well equipped and comfortable. Good breakfast.

Review 8:Parking was a little bit tricky. The 8 euro per day applied to just in front of the hotel which had very few spots.

Review 9:Very close to the historic areas and easy to be with a stroller. It was very easy to drive over to Ubeda for touring there as well.

Review 10:Front of house staff miserable Breakfast choice minimal, cookedbreakfast cold. No food available anywhere in hotel after breakfast!!Tiny pool :( Toilet broken twice!

Review 11:Easy access to a V.beautiful town.

Review 12:The breakfast was poor and the breakfastroom was mot clen. The breakfastroom was to warm and the staff was not clean

Review 13:The room and bathroom are very Nice. The swimmingpool on The roof is amazing.

Review 14:The pool and bar are closed on the top floor. Rooms are a bit outdated.

Review 15:Rooms are bigger then we are used to in Spain. Rooms are clean and the bed is comfi

Review 16:The loud TV on continuously in the area where breakfast was located. The lack of ongoing internet connection for such a large hotel. It was hit and miss in terms of when there was a connection. It did not work in our except in the early hours of the morning (3am).

Review 17:Large clean and comfortable room and bathroom. Although a 10 minute walk out of town the parking was easy.

Review 18:Receptionist was very helpful. Couldn't get safe to work as was locked. She unlocked it and it still didn't function so she went and got new batteries and fixed it. Excellent Service. Breakfast was good. Liked the historic town.

Review 19:This hotel would earn top marks if it were billed as a 3 star hotel. I believe the 4 stars come from the extra facilities but the restaurant was closed as was the beautiful roof top terrace. The small pool was open.

Review 20:Pleasant modern room, beautiful modern bathroom, clean and quiet, sliding doors onto Juliet balcony. Efficient air conditioning. Good breakfast. Free parking in front. Five minute walk to the town.

Review 21:Nothing

Review 22:Superb hotel , very easy to find with easy parking outside .Short 5 min walk to the centre of town with lots of very good restaurants. Highly recommended, rooms very modern and spacious, bathroom fantastic. Excellent for the price !

Review 23:The hotel is listed as 4 star this is a joke. No restaurant,no hot food at any time , a roof bar which only opens on fri/sat nights.the receptionist is also the barman and the breakfast waitress.the problem arises when people are checking out and wanting breakfast coffee. Have they ever heard of coffee machines?I would have complained to the manager but guess what, that's her fourth job!!!! We stayed at 11 hotels around Andalusia in 4 weeks this one does not begin to match up to the others.

Review 24:Very little really although the few members of staff could not really be faulted. The problem appears to be the management not providing enough staff to enable them to give good customer service.

Review 25:Wifi signal was not strong enough to reach the room properly. Except from the girl that attended us when we arrive who was very helpful and nice, the other two we saw were not very helpful.

Review 26:It is close by the center, it's got a small swimming pool, rooms are clean. Free parking in front of the hotel. For the price we paid it was pretty ok. Breakfast is ok, do not spect anything special or fancy.

Review 27:Just problem with english. the staff didn't speak english

Review 28:Very nice place and very friendly staff

Review 29:Everything.... and the bathroom was lovely!

Review 30:Location so easy to find when driving to town. Ask for room overlooking the countryside.

Review 31:Not enough staff at breakfast / checkout

Review 32:Excellent spacious room with a superb view over the mountains

Review 33:Location clean comfortable and safe

Review 34:Noise from other guests and the road.

Review 35:Breakfast

Review 36:Dining room closed on a Saturday evening. Disco on the roof until 4 am!

Review 37:Large room and well aquiped bathroom. Lovely views.

Review 38:El baño no estaba muy limpio

Review 39:A very reasonable price, friendly staff, nice view from the cafeteria and the terrace

Review 40:Baeza and Ubeda are lovely towns and well worth a visit. We did the tourist train in both places which was good value at 4 euros per person

Review 41:suited us fine

Review 42:relaxed atmosphere - pleasant staff

Review 43:Good location for price, just 5min walking to the historical sites.

Review 44:poor breakfast, didnt allow us late check out even it want full

Review 45:pretty close to the center, free parking

Review 46:not a lot a good4star hotel for the price

Review 47:cost good view clean

Review 48:Piscine Pillows

Review 49:Location

Review 50:Breakfast has a rather limited choice.

Review 51:Brand new hotel with large and clean rooms. Conveniently located at the western entrance of the city, just a few km from the historic centre. Very quiet environment, with a free on-site parking.

Review 52:the room was large and comfortable. the bathroom was comfortable and clean, and the linen was changed every day. The hotel is at the edge of the town making it easy to walk to the tapas bars and restaurants in the middle of town the town itself is a beautiful historic place with many interesting buildings and churches.

Review 53:Perfect location to visit old city of Baeza (10 min ease walk!). Very good and helpful staff. Free parking around hotel. Good breakfast included in the hotel rate.

Review 54:Too near a industrial olive processing plant that was spewing white and black smoke the whole time we were there. Really affected my chest

Review 55:Good parking and near to town

Review 56:The views don't match the hotel's name. Rather than "Campos" (fields, countryside) you can see an industrial area and a huge chimney. After visiting Baeza, we realized that a Palace type hotel would have been more romantic.

Review 57:It's about 5' away from Baeza center. Parking is quite good.

Review 58:We enjoyed staying in this little charming town hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. No problem on site parking. Staff at the front desk is very accommodating in spite of language barrier.

Review 59:Difficult to find couldn't get it on sat nav.

Review 60:The room large comfortable and with a great view.Parking secure, really good value for money will use again

Review 61:There was NO food available other than breakfast. Neither were there other 'facilities' such as the pool available.

Review 62:The hotel is on the edge of the town & fairly quiet. Easy 10-minute walk to the old part of the town. Breakfast was very adequate and wifi was available. Car parking was available, but we parked in front of hotel, so no charge made. It would be different in Summer.

Review 63:Reception desk quite often "alone"; room cleaning starting in the neighbour room at seven with a lot of noice (although we were the almost only guests at thatday)

Review 64:Excellent view from the Hotel terrace on the Roof, nice rooms, comfortable hotel

Review 65:The hall had a smell of burned rubber that stayed the entirety of our visit, but the room was fine.

Review 66:We didn't realize it was right on the edge of town as you entered, but that wound up being really nice. Everything was walkable distance. It was a pleasant, uneventful stay. parking was very simple and at no cost.

Review 67:While there is secure underground car park, the option is not offered to customers.

Review 68:Clean, comfortable and very good value for money. Only a short walk from historic centre of Baeza and very convenient for those arriving by car.

Review 69:There is a factory nearby pouring thick smoke all over the area when the wind is blowing in the "wrong" direction.

Review 70:Lovely room. Easy parking.

Review 71:No wifi in room (although it is advertised) and getting out of the carpark was a bit nervy, since the door opened onto our car - we hadn'tbeen told to keep well back when pressing the exit button!

Review 72:Very clean and well appointed.

Review 73:Being able to park outside hotel with only a short walk to the centre of town. Lovely views from room overlooking the mountains and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Review 74:The garage was hard to access but this was a small thing.

Review 75:Service with a smile, the hotel was clean and breakfast was good and fresh, the coffee was hot and the meats and cheese was kept cool we enjoyed our stay would stay there again.

Review 76:The big problem is that they use the 4th floor terrace as a discotheque, which - despite the owner claims - can be heard in the rooms ! Not to mention the fact that all the people going to the discotheque park their cars around the hotel and when they go back home at 4.00 or 5.00 they are very very noisy... This really makes it a big negative point when you are looking for a silent and quiet place to rest... The swimming pool is nice but tiny.

Review 77:The Hotel is quite nicely located and the rooms are vast and fine. Personnel is helpful and efficient. The views are very nice (olivos everywhere) and the hotel is close from Baeza Unesco historical area.

Review 78:Bar fridge didn't work and though requested, wasn't seen to by staff.

Review 79:Lovely, new hotel with good facilities. Big rooms with excelllentbathroom and big towels. On site parking in the basement. Breakfastsubstantial. Walking distance to the historic town which is beautiful.

Review 80:The restaurant, terrace bar and swimming pool were all closed. The viewacross the olive planatations is splendid but the local processing plantand the vacant lots to the front and to the left of the hotel detractfrom what could be a very pleasant location.

Review 81:Only a five-minute walk from the town centre, Campos de Baeza offers aconvenient base for exploring the unesco World Heritage sites of Baezaand, if you have a car, Ubeda. The hotel is new, the rooms are verycomfortable and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The hotel also offersfree parking and wi-fi.

Review 82:Bit churlish really, because there is absolutely nothing the hotel can do about it, but from October through to April there is a huge pall of smoke, white, coming from the Olive Oil Factory just below the hotel. This smoke did not blow across in the hotel direction whilst we were there and we were told it never does. It didn't by any means obliterate the view. The authorities have been trying to rehouse the factory for at least 10 years but negotiations on both sides keep stalling. The smoke is more of a problem to the remainder of the town and does have a slight smell. Please don't be put off as even with the smoke we couldn't have been happier with this hotel

Review 83:This was the prefect location for a dual visit to Baeza and Ubeda and we stayed 2 nights. The breakfast was very good whilst not serving 'English' there was plenty of super bread with meats and cheeses. The room was large but not huge so everything on a short stay was handy. The TV was easy to operate with Digital control too. The wifi signal in our 2nd floor room was OK but the receptionist offered me a cable to use which speeded up the free connection. Lift was speedy and served all floors from the underground secure garage up to the roof terrace, with a pool that was seasonally empty In the evening, and possibly all day, the bar staff were happy to cook a cheese toastie as the restaurant was not open during our stay. The hotel was VERY quiet and the views wonderful except for as noted below There are two restaurants/bars near to the hotel and a huge Chinese bazaar with everything you could need 80 odd metres away

Review 84:Signs in Spanish only (Recepcion->reception is obvious, but notaseos->toilets)

Review 85:Very good location - on outskirts of the town but close to historicalcenter. Easy access by car and free parking. Superb view on thewalley from the room. Helpfull and friendly staff. Very goodprice/quality ratio.

Review 86:Everithing

Review 87:Breakfast could be better

Review 88:I did like the staff, especially Tamara, who did every effort to assist.

Review 93:Breakfast could be improved upon & no food in the evening

Review 98:ideal location, short walk into town. excellent rooms, breakfast and staff
