Review 1：Although it was winter and the swimming pool was closed, it appeared to be tiny, really nothing more than a large tank. The adjoining restaurant offers inexpensive meals at 10 euros but the quality was very poor--tinned artichoke hearts fried in garlic and oil, with a strong taste of vinegar used in the tin as a preservative. The four of us all complained that the food was tasteless. The whiskey tarte offered as a dessert choice tasted stale. We asked for an extra consommé and they charged 7 euros--this for water and chicken broth. Breakfast was also very poor with the need to ask for each ingredient separately. The choice was toast, packaged croissants, and a tiny cup of coffee. A small but more varied buffet would be a big improvement. From most of the reviews here the breakfast is the weak point in the hotel yet the system has never been changed. Could cost be the reason why?
Review 2：The room was comfortable, especially the mattress on the bed. When I asked for extra pillows I got them immediately. The WIFI connection was very good. Parking is free and right in front of the hotel. The night receptionist, Tomás Valiente, was especially friendly and made the stay a pleasant one.

Review 5：The noise level from other guests in the corridor was very annoying. the temperature in the public areas was cold. Although breakfast selection was OK the room was cold and basic.

Slightly strange location in an industry park but the sweet town is only 5 minutes drive and it is fantastic that you can park your car in front of the hotel. The staff was such a pleasure!

Review 14：If we had not pre-booked we might have driven away because the facade of the hotel looked awful. However this is only because it is in the process of being renovated as are the bedrooms. So please do not be put off if you visit shortly because of the work going on at the moment.
Review 15：The hotel is very well placed for an overnight stop to Portugal being just a few minutes from the A66 motorway. The little swimming pool was lovely and we had a welcome dip after our journey. The young man on reception was very helpful explaning the air conditioning etc. and the menu of the day was tasty and really good value.

Review 81：This hotel was recommended by friends as a convenient and value for money stay en route through Spain from Andalusia to Santander ferries. It did not disappoint. Although the location first appeared to be not too promising, this was a plus too as it is conveniently near to the motorway ensuring a smooth arrival and departure without losing too much time getting lost in a town centre. The staff are really helpful and gave us instructions on how to access the old walled town, where to park and what to see. The town is also worth a visit with a wonderful cathedral. The food is excellent value for money, the rooms large and very clean - it is also dog friendly which we needed. We will definitely be staying here again.
