Reviews for leMarquis Ibiza
Review 1:Bathrooms should be seperated from bedrooms (in my opinion at least) and other couples may find it uncomfortable to not have some privacy. Breakfast felt a little cheap hotel stile compared to the rest of The quality/standard of the experience
Review 2:Staff was friendly, the reception very pleasant and the overall setting, facilities and room was nice
Review 3:Wish I could have stayed longer !
Review 4:For a chill private location like being in your own private villa central to access beaches or town walking distance to lovely Gertrudis for tapas.
Review 5:if we are paying ~ 900 Euros for 3 nights, we would expect 5 star quality hospitality and services. -Bed quality is not great(mattress) No tissue boxes within the room -various insects roaming around(taking into consideration its a bungalow it is normal to see insects around but it was too many) -We had to pay for each espresso or coffee we consumed (again taking into consideration we were paying 5 star rates these things should come complimentary) -Wifi very slow
Review 6:Staff attitude
Review 7:perhaps the pillows could have been a little more comfortable, but a minor issue
Review 8:We particularly appreciated the attentive but discreet staff. Our welcome was very warm.
Review 9:Don't order the sangria, it was undrinkable:(
Review 10:The staff was amazing, the breakfast was even more amazing. The best thing about the place was the relaxed atmosphere, very Ibiza with people sunbathing naked, smoking and having drinks by the pool. No screaming children which was one of the reasons we chose this finca. Me and my friends are definitely coming back next year. If I had the money I would stay for 10 days, but 3 days isn't bad that either:)
Review 11:Very over prized. Outdated, shabby. Bungalows are way too simple, door was broken, bed is very hard and uncomfortable, no clean towels in my room, not clean. No normal sunbeds where one can read a book. It is adults only but staff let their own kids swim in pool. Friendly staff but not qualified at all. I paid 300 euro's (!!) per night for being on a camping....
Review 12:The staff was friendly, but yet unqualified
Review 13:Bad Location,I paid 400 euro for taxi plus 1200 euro for accommodation for 3 days only ,no good cleaning ,no room service ,serve your self, plus animals lizard ,small pool ,not for adult I saw three kids,I requested the reception lady for late check out up to 4 PM ,she charged me 50 euro ,I am very upset if you do not believe me please go and try it,it is horrible house not hotel ,i am very sick , small air conditioning you will fell hot ,hard bed ,at the end very bad trip
Review 14:Nothing good
Review 15:Nothing to not like.
Review 16:The staff, the warm greeting with Prosecco, the breakfast, the location ( close enough to everything but still slightly removed ), the pool, the environment.
Review 17:If it's hot outside, the bungalows turn into saunas and even on the coldest setting, the air conditioning cannot cool the room. High season can be expensive for what you get. Nobody to help with bags and difficult to carry them across cobble stones and gravel to bungalows.
Review 18:Staff was very helpful. Good location, 5 minutes from Santa Gertudis. Clean. The breakfast was wonderful. Hippie vibe.
Review 19:Nothing.
Review 20:The atmosphere was so chilled and quiet. The three girls that made up the staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful but discrete. Breakfast was fab.
Review 21:It's hard to book taxis - though that's not the hotel's fault
Review 22:The friendly staff made us feel very welcome and at home, I liked the quiet and secluded location, although it's a bit hard to find, and the amazing spread for breakfast.
Review 23:The shed you stay in are not the most picturesque from the outside, with no private outside sitting area, but clean, good size, nice shower, perfectly comforatable and good value
Review 24:pool area, location, staff, communal areas
Review 25:Bar tab was a little overpriced. No prices were on display and a brandy costing more that the entire bottle in the shops is overdoing it. Watch what you buy in the bar or ask for the prices.
Review 26:Staff very helpful and attentive but also discreet. The restaurant wasn't open when we were there (May) but the small snack menu was tasty. Good poolside facilities meant it was possible to stay there all day if necessary. Comfortable loungers, hammocks, sunshades and cushions abound. Well stocked poolside drinks and ice creams on an honesty bar basis. Rooms worth the extra small cost over the outlying 'huts' in our opinion. The rooms were quiet but conveniently situated with pleasant seating areas and flowers, whilst the individual 'huts' had little vegetation or decoration around them. Don't be put off by the word 'Adult' in the description. This is not a swingers club! It's a lovely place to stay where there are no kids running about, that's all. Take your clothes off if you want too but we didn't and so far as we saw not many actually did.
Review 27:Nothing. We love this place. It is an authentic experience.
Review 28:The finca is beautiful and the pool area charming and beautifully maintained! Breakfast is delicious. Service is impeccable (and with a smile)
Review 29:Everything but especially the staff. They were all incredibly helpful and were happy to go out of their way to help with anything that we needed. However, they did all of this without being intrusive or over-bearing. Perfect.
Review 30:We've booked 4 nights, we went away after 1 night. We had the bungalow. Forget about any romantic, exotic thoughts you would have about a bungalow. It is just a wooden shed. No thermal isolation, temperature inside is Saharian during day time. There is AC, it would take about 20 mins to get "room" to a breathable condition. Then it has to stay on until night. When at night we could not sleep because of the clear rodent noise on the roof. We've been told they were lizards, must have been some oversized lizards for the noise they were making (definitely not the ones we've seen second day in the room. those were much stealthier) Don't get me wrong, did not mind the place being basic. It was clean, it had the necessities. But those are tent like conditions, not something we have expected from advertisement (and certainly not for that price). I understand rustic very well, this was not it. There is a reason people on the island built stone houses with small windows and not wooden sheds: it gets hot. The public space was ok (closer to what advertised). When brought the facts into attention, we could not get an uprgade to the main (farm) building (we had to pay a difference of 400 eurs, we refused). We had to leave. Worth mentioning, we did NOT get our prepayment back. Paid 4 nights, stayed 1. I would have told the story anyway. People should be aware of the nice professional pictures in advertisement. Bungalows are tree-houses on the ground.
Review 31:warm welcome, helpful front-desk staff
Review 32:Bungalows can get hot but there is air conditioning
Review 33:Quiet location at centre of the island, plentiful choice of fresh food for breakfast, welcome glass of bubbly, beautiful. Pool area, very clean, friendly and helpful staff.
Review 34:Everything was great!. Location, service, nice bungalows, cleaning, very good breakfast, great swimming pool,…. and I could include all the hotel facilities. You feel like if you were at home, they are always looking for you, and doing their best to make your stay at the hotel as comfortable as possible. It is the best place to go if you want to go to Ibiza, and you want to relax comfortably after a funny and busy day in the island. We were a group of 6 people, and two of them were just married. The hotel made a “special room” for them, with some nice details, and the hotel gave them a bottle of “cava” as a welcome gift. Everything has been perfect, we will be back, for sure!!
Review 35:Very friendly and efficient staff who made us feel welcome. Clean and comfortable room with everything we needed. Delicious breakfast served until midday! I look forward to returning.
Review 36:The advert saying we had booked a bungalow and in fact it was a glorified garden shed/hut/cabin' Not enough tables for breakfast and only one girl serving plus doing checkouts plus clearing for next people wishing to eat.
Review 37:The few staff we saw were very helpful. It is very quiet which was good for us. There is no restaurant for dinner but we found a cracking new place only 5 mins walk. It was called le Jardines
Review 38:We caught a couple having sex at midnight in one of the public bedsaround the pool and didn't really appreciate this. Yes we like therelaxed atmosphere and clothing optional but these people took it toofar; I would have liked fresh beautiful pink flowers daily in our room -we got it only once and made my day during the 6 day stay; all togetherits on the expensive side for what it offers - yes its all great butalmost 170 euro per night in a bungalow is too much.
Review 39:Staff - the two ladies - Alina and Belen were amazingly sweet andhelpful and made our breakfast every morning really enjoyable;everything is beautiful, the new bungalows, the warm pool, the longingaround the pool, the music at breakfast, the sweet sweet quietness atnight and the night air.
Review 40:At some point we had to leave
Review 41:Everything!!! The outstanding quality and freshness of breakfast (served till noon!), the peacefulness of poolside, the curtesy of the staff, the decor of the room, and so on
Review 42:Nothing
Review 43:Great atmosphere within beautiful countryside and nice farview to coast. Great breakfast and fantastic homemade cake. Thanks a lot for an extraordinary relaxing holiday ;)
Review 44:I had a real nice stay in this hotel. fist at all we had an incredible warm welcome of the recepcionist. the hotel was very clean as well the commun parts. The Rooms ( we had a chalet room) Were as well nice but I'm not the one that loves those rooms. But my wife did liked it very much. So it is up to you if you like to sleep in one of the chalet rooms or not. The location of this hotel is also very good, cause it is in the center of Ibiza. Almost at every corner of the Isle you have to drive only 30 minutes.. but on that way you can explore very fast the Isle in a couple of days. The service in the hotel was also very good! As well the breakfast was awesome!! They have just very much, and also homemade bread of olives. They make you the eggs that you want.. they give you frech juice if you want.. And also the place of the location where you have it is just adorable! so, to end this, if I go back to Ibiza I would go surely back to this hotel!
Review 45:The rudimentary garden bungalows are a bit out of sync with the elegance of the rest of the premises. It gets very warm in them...
Review 46:Atmosphere, swimming pool, breakfast, extremely friendly front desk staff.
Review 47:The finca is quite run down and shabby. Our very small room was too dark with an over powering smell of damp and a grubby shower curtain. Although the staff do the best they can one can't help but feel an extra pair of hands would be welcome.
Review 48:The staff and location were really good.
Review 49:We liked everything!
Review 50:Exhale and relax the moment you walk in. A gorgeous location with wonderful views but only 7km outside Ibiza town. The pool is surrounded by comfortable day beds and hammocks but my favourite bed was under the bougainvillaea canopy next to the citrus plunge pool. Staff are attentive and helpful, breakfast homemade. Hotel perfection.
Review 51:While the lunch menu was fine, the dinner menu was limited so it meant driving every night to local restaurants. Restaurants in the surrounding area were great but the hotel was too close to santa eularia for you to be able to get a taxi.
Review 52:Lovely hotel. Not too big, Spanish style in main hotel rooms and public spaces. Lovely chill out place. Pool area is great with hammocks, big beds, towels provided, an ice cold pool and plenty of shaded areas. Bungalows and upmarket log cabins with privacy but located very close to main building. Breakfasts to die for and served until 12.00. The staff were discreet but very helpful and couldn't do enough for us, they booked restaurants made us whatever eggs for breakfast we wanted and nothing was too much trouble.
Review 53:The bungalow wasn't quite as good standard as should of been for the price. Felt more like a garden shed with air con and en suite! Bed was uncomfortable with no headboard, towels were hard and rough, the decor inside the bungalow was very cheap and tasteless compared to any hotel we've stayed in. The lighting was also very poor. The roll blinds had holes in them from moths/insects. The floors were very squeaky. No fridge or safe in the room. No adequate furniture to store clothing in...(just a small clothes rail at an odd angle in the corner of the room). These bungalows could be so much better with some better decoration and furniture. The en suite was very cheap looking and made the overall appearance look budget. We expected a higher standard when paying over €140 per night.
Review 54:Good breakfast selection - meats, cheese, salad, cereals, yoghurt, eggs cooked to order, sausage/bacon, fruit etc The pool area is good and was clean and very quiet for our stay with plenty of loungers/beds. Nice quiet remote location about €35 taxi ride from the airport.
Review 55:Stayed there just a week but could easily have stayed another!
Review 56:Staff - Super helpful, friendly and just so sweet! We celebrated our honeymoon there and they had a bottle of Cava, fresh fruit and rose petals shaped like a heart on the bed when we arrived - very sweet. The hotel is in a perfect location when you have a car, ~15 min drive to Ibiza town and easy to get anywhere on the island. Breakfast was always great with lots of options and they would make fresh scrambled eggs and fresh juice if you wanted. Amenities are great, we stayed in one of the bungalows and they are very nice. Small little pool we never used but they have plenty of sunbeds around it. Loved this place and already decided we are staying there again next year!
Review 57:The staff was accommodating at all times. Breakfast was amazing and the property was gorgeous. Friendly fellow guests and great activities all around the island. Le Marquis and its staff spoiled me! Thank you Alina, Belen, and Vanessa.
Review 58:No brandy or rose wine available on one or two nights! Asked for the hotel speciality mojhito and no ingredients available to make it!
Review 59:The situation , the setting , the atmosphere, the friendly staff - overall a lovely relaxing place to stay!
Review 60:The staff were amazing - they gave us a free upgrade..!
Review 61:It's not room, it's like Home Depot garden Shed. The worst bed and mastress of my whole life .
Review 62:Nice staff.
Review 63:Far from centre
Review 64:Everything
Review 65:Peaceful, beautiful room, quiet location, great breakfast and staff
Review 66:The bathroom is a little small due to the low ceiling.
Review 67:Great breakfast, cosy room and friendly staff. St. Gertrudis a great place.
Review 68:Bed was very uncomfortable
Review 69:Lovely staff and very pretty location
Review 70:The whole place was very very good staff everything about the place.itsa very good place for cpls .as there are no children
Review 71:Naked people round the pool :-/
Review 72:No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms
Review 73:Everything very relaxing, staff couldn't do enough
Review 74:The location, the nature arround, the kindess of the personnell, the pool area, the open bar.
Review 75:Dirty pool area with broken glass, poorly staffed (one receptionist who had to do everything it seemed), poor quality of decoration in the bungalows, the construction of the bungalows- it was a garden shed with air conditioning, the Eroski supermarket yoghurts for breakfast, the tasteless artwork in the bedroom, the swarm of bees in the garden, the fact that no one uses the pool because it's not maintained- the hammocks were covered in mildew and dark mould. The 'honesty bar' seemed to cover up the fact there were no staff on hand. Bad value for money- we declared our unhappiness to the staff who refused to refund us (We had stayed in an accommodation 40euris cheaper per night that was much better managed than this). It was too remote and noisy with dogs barking all night. I would avoid this and not have booked if we had known. The bed was like a hard lump of foam. Not comfortable or pleasant in anyway.
Review 76:The original building of the hotel
Review 77:there was something not quite right with the shower...the water wasn't always hot. Think it might have needed some maintenance
Review 78:the relaxed atmosphere the late breakfast staff appeared to be genuinely friendly and helpful there were nice little touches, like flowers picked from the gardens
Review 79:Difficult to find in the dark. It needs better signing as the track leading to it is set back from the approach road at a road junction. We had a snack one evening which was of a very low standard, and wasn't worth half of the price charged.
Review 80:Peace & quiet, location, the general ambience & surroundings and easy going atmosphere.
Review 81:We had a nice and relaxing holiday at the Marquis. Quiet environment, good beds, excellent breakfast. Last not but least, a big difference was made by Alina, who was very helpful and gives Marquis love with her presence. She is an excellent host. We enjoyed her service and still miss the baked eggs and orange juice
Review 82:WIFI … second time here and it is still unreliable … please fix it. :)
Review 83:The service. The unique and central location, far away from the tourist areas. Good restaurants nearby. A perfect pool. Good food, good cocktails and an extremely friendly staff. And what's more : no kids :)
Review 84:Food menu a bit limited if you wanted to eat in the hotel at all.
Review 85:Overall nice simple vibe and good friendly service.
Review 86:Mosquito bites
Review 87:pool terrace, Communal areas, Very friendly helpful staff, Central location
Review 88:Great Staff and relaxing atmosphere. If you like simple pleasures this is a great place.
Review 89:The design, the personnel atitude ,the politics of the hotel, the general atmosphere.
Review 90:Very chilled out, relaxing environment
Review 91:We spent a fabulous chilled 3 days the staff were very welcomimg and helpful we had no wants . The breakfasts were served till 12
Review 92:Bungalows rather small and basic.
Review 93:Staff very helpful. Good pool area. Good location (although need car).
Review 94:Wonderful place, into the nature. The staff is very kind
