Reviews for Villa Zoila

Review 1:nothing

Review 2:Cozy, private, comfortable house for family or friends. Wonderful views and good location for rest in mountains, Exellent gourmet restaurant with lovely staff (collect the keys)

Review 3:For fussy sleepers as we are: the double bed is quite saggy in the middle and resulted in some back/neck pains for us. Having said that, there is a possibility to use the downstairs bedroom, which has 2 single beds put together.

Review 4:Lovely restored Canarian house, very private and lots of space, both inside and outside. If you want to explore Gran Canaria, the house is quite central, being close to both Tejeda in the center and a 30 minute drive from las Palmas. However, driving home after dark can be a bit challenging as not all roads are lit and the curves and climbing require some serious concentration from the driver. Then again, the house offers all the possibilities to stay in at night and cook your own BBQ at the spacious terrace.

Review 5:Although we were there in March, the house was still cold in the evenings and the heaters were just about adequate. The villa was a bit farther from the nearest town than we had imagined, fine in the car but a bit too far to walk.

Review 6:The villa was very comfortable and had excellent facilities. The views were spectacular and we enjoyed having our breakfast on the terrace in the sun. It was beautifully furnished in what we imagined was an old Canarian style. We appreciated the sports chanel on the tv as we were able to watch some tennis in the evenings.

Review 7:inside the house it's a little cold due to its structure

Review 8:we felt comfortable. it was like home. we've got everything we needed. we didn't even meet the owner, but he was alway available by phone.

Review 9:Own transportation necessary.

Review 10:Nice cosy "casa rural".

Review 11:Terrace, BBQ, panoramic view, quite and cozy, everything. No wifi which is nice for a while!

Review 12:1) no wifi; 2) the road next to the house, can hear the cars passing by;

Review 13:Everything is ok, very nice and fresh decorated;

Review 14:We were there a week, and it took a day or so to warm the place up, but after that it was fine. However if you're there in the spring/summer months the cool villa would be a blessing!

Review 15:Fantastic views and a really well equipped villa. We loved the location and had a really enjoyable week. Only we were only 2, the spacious villa could accommodate 4(+) very comfortably.

Review 16:It really needs better heating.

Review 17:It's a true canarian house that works really well for small groups. Beautifully decorated and well thought out. Someone clearly put a lot of thought and love into this place.

Review 18:In winter very cold, although there is heating, just on the big road

Review 19:À beautiful villa in mountains, very beautiful living room, clean, the villa is decorated in good taste

Review 20:Nothing, we only regret that we only booked 1 night.

Review 21:Villa Zoila is a very charming house. We were suprised about how big it was. We were feeling at home as soon as we entered the door. I would suggest everybody who will travel to Gran Canaria to stay at Villa Zoila.

Review 22:Cold - 7 degrees at night, 12 degrees during the day in Dec. heaters provided are woefully inadequate to heat a villa of this size. We ran the heaters non-stop and it took 24hrs to achieve comfort and l had to wear all my outside clothing for the first night. Easily rectified if the owner would buy more heaters Parking - 2 spaces on the road outside the house are often taken, leaving you with a very steep side road to park on. So steep the hire car's (Toyota auris ? Engine size) clutch started smoking.

Review 23:Spacious Good location for the mountains Excellent value for money Comfortable Clean Well equipped Views Beautifully decorated

Review 24:The house was freezing when we arrived and took several days to warm up.The bedrooms have good radiators but the two living spaces have only 1kwheaters and the bathrooms no heating at all. We have no right to expectcentral heating as we have in the uk and we should all do our bit forthe planet but it's not nice to be cold! There were a few smallniggles - dirty tablecloth, no instructions for the tv so gave up- but these were minor matters. It would be a great villa for mosttimes of the year!

Review 25:The views from the upper terrace were terrific. The villa is veryspacious. We were a couple but the villa would easily accommodate alarge family. Some love has gone into the furniture and decor - it haslots of nooks and crannies that make it interesting to explore. Thekitchen is well equipped and there is an extensive outside bbq. We weremainly on a walking holiday so to have the Cumbre (the central mountainarea) just 15 minutes up the road was very convenient. The owner wasexcellent about communication before the visit and all the arrangementsfor picking up the key and finding the Villa worked fine. To get a villaof this size for under £70 a night is excellent value.
