This 17th-century manor house, set in the rugged Gran Canaria mountains, has been carefully and lovingly converted into a charming country getaway.
Blending traditional Spanish and vibrant African styles, this peaceful hotel provides an enchanting setting for your visit to this sunny Canary Island. Las Calas is built around a colorful, tropical garden and features typical Canarian whitewashed walls, dark woods and ceramic plate tiles.

Reviews for Hotel Rural Las Calas

Review 1:Staff are very helpful. Hotel is clean and comfortable. It's situated in a good location for visiting the middle, east, and north part of Gran Canaria.

Review 2:Subtle lack of warmth and welcome at evening meal and bar(unstaffed) E.g. charged extra for badly fried egg at breakfast People often didn't book 2nd evening meal despite having to drive to other restaurants Possibly short staffed

Review 3:Warm comfortable room Very pleasant garden surroundings Reasonable access by car for exploring the mountains in centre of the island Helpful receptionist

Review 4:- you should call them before arrivng (we stood in fron of a locked door and no one answering phone nor bell) - when you want to rent a bike, it is ABSOLUTELY Necessary to contact the hotel before you arrive! (Partner biking rental is located in Sta. Brigida) - Pool is ice cold

Review 5:- Garden area and the guest house - helpful staff - quiet area around (car is essential!) - the owner is very friendly - nice hotel, much better than staying in the south of the island

Review 6:Garden of orange trees, and beautifully restored old buildings Log fires in the evening after a day's explorations Such welcoming, hard working staff

Review 7:February weather not so great north side of mountains. Evening meal rather plain but adequate. No restaurants open after 8pm locally - closed season.

Review 8:Unusual but attractive rooms. Welcoming and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Located close to centre of island.

Review 9:We were almost the only guests at the hotel and maybe that explains why we could not feel any positive ambience. It was a chilly night, but there was no fire in the fireplace of the common room. Everything felt stale. At quite an expensive rate, the hotel should trive to provide the best experience even if only a view guests are present,

Review 10:The orignal, historic building. The layout of the garden. The very helpful staff.

Review 11:You need a car to get to the village but the taxi cost approx. 3€. You can walk down but it takes time.

Review 12:Close to the hiking area. Beatifull place.

Review 13:No door for the restrooms. Some rooms have no window for the main room. Breakfast is quite limited.

Review 14:Private parking. The garden is beautiful.
